Blue Bananas Pancake Café in Centrum

Vandaag voor de lunch geweest met twee volwassenen en twee kinderen. Direct werd aangegeven dat het druk was en ze plek hadden als we het niet erg vonden om wat langer te wachten. Voor ons geen probleem en uiteindelijk viel het wachten heel erg mee en hebben we geen extra lange wachttijd ervaren. Maar netjes aangegeven! Iedereen iets te drinken en een stapeltje pannenkoeken uitgezocht. De kinderen wilden er ook drie maar dat bleek uiteindelijk toch net teveel. Tsja ze waren zo lekker dat papa en mama de rest maar grotendeels opgegeten hebben. Het heeft ons bijzonder goed gesmaakt en alles was met zorg gemaakt. Helaas geen foto’s omdat we direct begonnen met eten maar de foto’s hier bij tripadvisor zijn echt wat je krijgt. De redvelvet was het meest machtig, de blue bananas prima en mijn favoriet is de less is smores. Incl drinken waren we ongeveer 70-75 euro kwijt. We komen zeker terug en de kinderen dan een laagje minder.

Lugar encantador para el desayuno con un buen personal, un gran ambiente y comida sabrosa. Todos disfrutamos de las tortitas, tanto saladas como dulces. Elegí el Kimchicken que estaba lleno de sabor. Genial para niños (edad 9 & 8 , si estuviéramos de visita de nuevo habría reducido el tamaño de las tortitas infantiles en uno (vienen como una pila de 3 , el menú permite reducir las tortitas)

What a fun place to eat! We came two days in a row to sample their vast menu. SO many delicious and clever flavor combinations. I can't wait to return!! The pancakes were not only delicious, they stayed with us all day and fueled our exploration of this beautiful city. Very close to Martini tower and the Forum. Such fun art on the walls and a super friendly staff.

The pancakes were delicious and fluffy. Unfortunately, the store smelled strongly of fried bacon, and the clothes smelled of it. The ventilation system definitely needs to be improved!

The food is very good and the service is great but the whole place smells of mould. You should really look into this because it is very toxic for people to sit inside and breathe it in.

The inside is enjoyable. It would be good to make a reservation on weekends and in nice weather. Otherwise, you have to wait. The location is easy. The inside is tastefully decorated. The messages and photos are very entertaining. A place that gives energy. It was a pancake experience that will be in the top 5 of my favorites so far. I really liked its taste. I would say don't miss the salty options. Definitely give it a chance. You will like it. My only question is that the service is a little slow. Although there were few people in the place when we went, the wait time was a little long. But it was worth it.

Gran lugar cerca del centro de Groninga para un desayuno abundante y saludable. Los bagels de desayuno y las pilas de tortitas están muy bien preparados y deliciosos. Jugos frescos y buen café añaden a la experiencia, la decoración funky con grandes murales de pared es realmente atractivo. El personal muy agradable y servicial te hace querer volver en el futuro.

Today we went to eat at Blue Bananas in the Pancake Café. We chose the red velvet and cinnamon pancakes. For a sweet lunch it was really perfect. I would definitely recommend the cinnamon pancakes. The place is nicely decorated and the service was okay - nothing special. Delicious for a pancake!

If you like pancakes, you'll love these! They're simply amazing! I could have spent the whole day eating them until I was round.

Rude staff: asked nicely if we could sit in the place that was opening up because it was very drafty, reaction was 'well okay but don't make our guests feel rushed' (we were also guests), after sliding some menus on our table without saying anything. Had to go to the counter to ask for sugar with my coffee, and had to go back to the cashier later because 2 'free' ginger shots were still on the bill. While the chefs are great, the rest of it felt very unprofessional and a bit cold.

Good service, we were not fans of buckwheat flour pancakes (these are both vegan and gluten-free) but afterwards we were asked if they could adjust something in the recipe. Coffee was tasty and juice was nicely served. Good staff and nice decoration!

Today I went to Blue Bananas with two friends. The staff was extremely nice upon arrival and during the entire time we were there. The menu has several types of pancakes, but also bowls to choose from. In the end I went for The Lady in Red. This was incredibly delicious!! The pancakes are very filling, so make sure you haven't eaten much beforehand when you come here.

Waffle shop in the center of Groningen 🥞 There were a lot of people there on Sunday, so I had to wait about five minutes to be seated. Waffles and syrup are combined with the flavors of onions, meat, and cheese. The salty and sweet taste is very special but not obtrusive. I will want to order this dish next time🤣

Great building, very nice decor, cozy sitting in the baking air. Pancakes exactly the way you want, super fluffy. The Real Deal is the simplest and tastiest, I think. But you will certainly also enjoy the deliciously over-the-top fully loaded options, party on a plate 🥳

Loved the ginger shot. Really wakes you up and makes you feel recharged. The hotness of the ginger also helps warm you up in the cold winter weather. Definitely recommend.

Fun atmosphere; excellent service. Unfortunately the gluten free pancakes can only be served plain. They are a heavier, north american style pancake; just be aware. I wished there was a fun option for the gluten free menu.

The service is really nice and everyone's so friendly! The pancakes can be too sweet with the icing and white chocolate, and the pancake itself was a bit on the burnt side. They used to be fluffier but overall a nice experience!

I went here for a project group meeting and I'd say the place is suitable to do so if you want to have some good food during your meeting. It wasn't that loud in the restaurant and the place was quite packed when we were there. There's friendly staff and good service. When we got our food there were a few things missing from our order. But this was quickly resolved once we addressed them. And the food overall was pretty good! I really enjoyed my Wake 'N Bake. For the quantity it's a bit overpriced I'd say, by the quality is really good. So that makes up for it.

Absolute recommendation if you want a special breakfast. Colorful atmosphere that puts you in a good mood (especially on cloudy days like today). The food is super tasty and the portions are sufficient to generous (pancakes).

Ate delicious American pancakes. They are well-filled pancakes. I had The Big Bun (cinnamon pancake with apple compote, blueberries and some kind of cream cheese cream). It was a kind of French toast XXL haha. Tables are a bit close together, but otherwise it is a very nicely decorated and hip building.

Lovely and colourful place, the yogurt was amazing, the pancake was good, we took the salty one with bacon but without onion, but maybe was better with it. Next time we will try the cinnamon roll one, looks great!

The caramel mocha latte is delicious, and the ambiance is lovely. The café is rather expensive, but the price estimate is based on the fact that two-thirds of the people only had drinks.

Is the best place to have a nice filling breakfast! The staff is really kind and the restaurant is cozy, but the pancakes really have the spotlight. From what I’ve seen they often add different flavors on their menu. We ate the “lady in red” and “all my curd” and it was amazing! I highly recommend!

The pancakes are great and the staff are very friendly. I ordered the blue banana pancakes gluten free and vegan and they tasted great and were nice and fluffy. Only thing is that they are slightly smaller than the non gluten free and vegan pancakes.
