It was my first time at Blue Dragon! We had lunch and were able to enjoy it in peace and with plenty of space. All the food arrived fresh and hot at the table. The sushi was also beautifully presented, which certainly gives it a luxurious feel. The staff were very friendly; you could always ask them for something or order more. I’d say it’s definitely worth a repeat visit!

An All-you-can-eat(AYCE) sushi restaurant with a moderate selection of fresh fish. The diversity of the menu is decent too, there are a variety of steamed, fried and raw dishes. The portion sizes are what you expect from many AYCE places in the Netherlands. You can order 3 dishes per person, with a 10 minute interval between each round for 2 hours. Although the selection was wide there were some items on the menu that came at an additional charge which should have been on a deluxe menu, maintaing the AYCE concept. I think customers would be more inclined to opt for that. Nonetheless, with what was available on the normal menu, there is enough to choose from for most people I suspect. We came during lunch on a very quiet day and service was reasonable. Drinks are Amsterdam prices.

Overall, I had a great experience here. The quality of the sushi was very good, everything tasted fresh, and there was a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The menu offers something for everyone, and the service was friendly and efficient throughout the afternoon. That said, I think there are a few small additions that could make the all-you-can-eat menu even better. It would be great to see items like tobiko gunkan and a few more specialty sushi options included, as they would add a bit more variety without drastically changing the concept. My biggest disappointment was that premium items like the lamb chops and a few other dishes require an additional charge. Rather than having these as paid extras, I think it would be fantastic if the restaurant offered a deluxe all-you-can-eat menu at a slightly higher price that included these premium dishes. I think many customers would happily pay a little more for a more complete experience. Overall, it’s a restaurant I’d definitely recommend. The food is delicious, there’s a great selection, and with a few thoughtful improvements, it could easily become one of the best AYCE sushi spots around.

Waitress and waiters gave attitudes all the time and added the dishes that were not ordered to the bill. The boss is extremely rude. They always throw the dirty labels in the food and soaked in the sauce. Don’t think they should be legit

Been twice now and both times it was good. The people working there are friendly, and the place itself looks elegant without feeling too formal. For an all you can eat sushi place, the quality is pretty good. The menu is not enormous, but the sushi is well served and what we ordered tasted good. You can order 3 items per person every 10 minutes, which is not a lot, but it was enough for us. They serve quite fast, and both times we left full. The only thing to keep in mind is that nigiri is paid separately, so not everything is included. It is also not super cheap, but for all you can eat sushi in Amsterdam it feels fair enough. I would go again.

Had a super fun evening here with a group of friends. For a good price, you can also get a private dining room where you can do karaoke. The quality and portion sizes are also good, especially for a place that is an AYCE (All You Can Eat) venue.

We had called about 20 minutes in advance to ask if we could make a reservation outside. There was space outside at that moment, but the employee absolutely refused to hold a table for us for 20 minutes. We were told that we would “just have to hope for luck” when we arrived. Once we arrived, we were indeed lucky: exactly at that moment, a table outside was being taken away. We sat down, but then we were suddenly told that the table was reserved and that we were not allowed to sit there. That felt very contradictory and customer-unfriendly. First, reservations are supposedly impossible or no table is being held, but when we arrive, it turns out the table *is* suddenly reserved. Very poor communication and a completely unwelcoming experience. We won't be going back a second time.

My daughter celebrated her birthday here. It was super fun. Very nice atmosphere and super friendly. Definitely recommended for children's parties. I booked the VIP room with Karaoke.

We stumbled upon the Blue Dragon and were pleasantly surprised how great the food, service and atmosphere was. We’ve had sushi all over the world and I would say the Blue Dragon rates very highly. If you aren’t sure when stood outside, definitely do walk in because the atmosphere inside is a million times better than out (we went on a Saturday early evening). Would definitely come again if we are in town!

Not great. We abided by the rules, ate everything we ordered and yet well before the 2 hour time limit, all of a sudden, there was a cost to everything on the menu. This was as we wanted to order desserts so it was clear we were coming to the end of our meal but there was still no leeway given. The food itself was okay but €95 for two people, including 1 pitcher of beer, at lunchtime is expensive when it's not truly all you can eat.

The food was great. Small portions as expected for supposedly "all you can eat". But what wasn't expected is that it is NOT ALL YOU CAN EAT! We had 3 "rounds" of which everything was eaten. Some portions were super tiny which is fine if all you can eat. But then the app turned to € per dish. We asked the staff as was only really wanted a chocolate moose but was told it's all extra cost now.

Today was my birthday, and I decided to have dinner here. The selection isn't great, with three dishes every 10 minutes, which is very inconvenient. There are so many all-you-can-eat options now, and the price is the same. I don't think I'd go there again. On the way home, I developed a stomach ache and diarrhea. I usually either leave a good review or nothing, but this just ruined my birthday.

The two of us ate here. We'd eaten here before, and we really enjoyed it. Now, after returning, it was very disappointing... The sushi was very tasty, but the rest of the food was very disappointing. A family with a baby also came in and asked if they could change their diapers in the women's restroom. The staff member replied that he didn't know because he'd never been in a women's restroom. A bit odd.

I'd give it a 10/10. I read the reviews and was a little scared, but I took the plunge and went. I'm so glad I did! You can order 6 items in 10 minutes by scanning the QR code. They definitely don't keep you waiting; whatever I ordered, it was on my table in a maximum of 3 minutes. The speed and the team were great. The only downside was that when I wanted dessert, I think there was only one serving of each dessert, and then they charged extra. I recommend making that unlimited. I'm very disappointed. We've eaten here many times in the past, and our last time was in 2024. That's precisely why we were looking forward to returning after a long time, but unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. The menu has changed significantly and been significantly reduced. The sushi selection is now very limited. I also ordered sweet and sour chicken, but it tasted extremely sour, as if a whole lemon had been squeezed into a very small portion. It feels like they're cutting corners wherever possible. That makes it even more disappointing, because we had fond memories of your restaurant. Unfortunately, this visit felt like a waste of money for us. I find that truly disappointing.

I got food poisoning here a month ago. Two or three hours after visiting, the vomiting and diarrhea started. I was in pain for two days. That same day, I informed the restaurant about the food poisoning, and after a week without a response, I went inside and confronted them. A few days later, I received an email from the owner saying he would investigate. Anyway, a month has passed since my report, and I haven't received a proper apology from them. Today, a neighbor pointed out the following: Pest control is inadequate. Based on an NVWA inspection on September 19, 2025. Two weeks before my food poisoning, they were reprimanded by the food and beverage authority for an unsanitary situation with pests. My advice: avoid this restaurant!

The food is really really good but sorry, this is not the standard I expect from a restaurant which has a good quality of food, there is a Chinese guy who received us at the counter and he is super unprofessional because how the way he attends the client is not even good, rude and mean. When the first time we entered the restaurant we asked about how it works and his response was really bad. We ordered ginger tea, and just for the hot water he will ask you to order while the other waitress just fill it up for you. How the way he speak and how the way he treat you as a client is so bad, unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. The food is perfectly rich and very delicious but unfortunately there is a Chinese guy at the reception who serves us very badly, very rudely, when we entered and asked how the restaurant works, the guy's response was too rude and disrespectful. I'm sorry but we are here as a customer and we don't eat here for free. We ordered ginger tea and it was out of water to refill. When I asked another waitress, she refilled it without any problem, but when it was his turn, he told us we had to pay more just for hot water. It's not a big deal, but his response was very rude. I haven't recommended this restaurant; there are many better ones.

The sushi was good. I would say the rice in the rolls were a bit thicker for my liking but the ingredients were quite fresh. the presentation was perfectly done. I would say service was pretty good as well especially thinking about how busy it was. the atmosphere of the place was very luxury. overall good place to eat.

Flamed saumon sushi almost melted in my mouth upon first bite, gamba garlic, karaage chicken, teriyaki, spicy tuna, beef tataki ... are all extremely delicious, authentic. Whoever is the chef is defintely a trained Japanese cuisine master cuz the quality is what makes this restaurant so popular, as we saw the restaurant got crowded from 19:00 on a monday night. For the all-you-can-eat price, you order directly from your phone for 3 choices per person every 10 minutes. For certain dishes/drinks, prices are indicated on the menu, before you submit, you can verify it again, so, no worries about hidden additional charges. Despite being hectic, our orders were fast to be served 🎉👍👍

My friends and I visited this restaurant for lunch on a weekday. Although the place was quiet and had a pleasant atmosphere at first, our experience quickly declined due to poor service. Upon arrival, it took quite some time before a waiter greeted and seated us. Unfortunately, the waiter who did assist us was dismissive from the start, though we decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. 1. Ordering System: The restaurant uses a digital system for placing orders, which turned out to be unnecessarily complicated and unreliable. The website frequently glitched, causing our orders not to go through properly. When we asked our waiter for help, he was unhelpful and rude. At one point, he insisted our order had gone through, but it never did. Overall, it took around 25 minutes just to successfully order and receive our food. 2. Food and Service: The food itself was decent, and the presentation was impressive. However, one item—a spicy tuna roll—was missing from our order. When we brought this to the waiter’s attention, he argued that we had already eaten it. We already were spending a lot of money on food I don’t know why we would lie about three pieces of sushi. Plus we did have a photo of our platter before we ate it and we could have shown him but it was already too late because thankfully, another waitress kindly brought our spicy tuna roll. 3. Customer Treatment: Throughout the meal, our waiter remained dismissive and inattentive, which made us feel unwelcome. It also seemed that our group may have been treated differently because we were foreigners. To make matters worse, we later noticed that a 19.5% tip had been added to our bill without our consent, after the card was already charged. Our total was over $100, and we would have gladly left a generous tip ourselves if we had received at least respectful service. In the end, we chose not to dispute the charge, but I wanted to share this experience so others can be aware. The food was fine, but the service left a lot to be desired.

We went to Blue Dragon Amsterdam for a children's party, and it was absolutely fantastic! They had a separate room in the back where we could all sit together, away from the other guests. That was really nice and cozy. We could also do some karaoke. The food was delicious, especially the sashimi, which was super fresh and delicious. The service was great—friendly, fast, and very helpful. You can park conveniently nearby, €10 for 3 hours in the parking garage. Perfect! We really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back! 🍣😊

This is definitely one of the best sushi restaurants in Amsterdam. My friend booked a VIP room for her son's birthday party. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed. The staff was very friendly. Even though it was crowded that night, we still received excellent service. The sushi was incredibly fresh and varied, and the teppanyaki, wok, and grill options were also very extensive. I can't wait to try it again.
