They hadn't informed us that they didn't accept pets - according to Gemini they did - and when we arrived with two therapy dogs they didn't allow us to enter or stay on the terrace and on top of that they were rude.

Highly recommended! I have already come back several times to eat here. The atmosphere is great and the service is always friendly. The food is of high quality. It looks delicious, but it tastes even better. The cocktails really topped it off! They don't skimp on the alcohol and the prices are reasonable. There is also room for large groups of people, which you don't see very often in Amsterdam these days.

Great sushi! Fresh ingredients and great service.

We dined here on Thursday evening with a large group of 31 people. We had arranged an all-you-can-eat + drink package for 35 people via email contact, and during a prior phone call, we mentioned that there were fewer of us and asked if we could adjust the price accordingly. We sat down and were unexpectedly served 3 rounds from the restaurant without any choice (not free, as this was all included in the price). This consisted of 1 round of simple sushi, 1 round of hot food and fries, and a round of vegetables and rice. We were unaware of this and had expected to be able to choose what we wanted to eat ourselves. We ordered food independently via the QR code and stated that we no longer wanted the rounds they had provided. To this, they reacted irritably and insistently, insisting that we finish what we had eaten. During the meal, we were also repeatedly told insistently to keep eating and finish our plates. We ordered pitchers of beer during the meal, as we were drinking beer with several people. Beer was also included in the price. Incidentally, 15 minutes before the end of our time, they made a big fuss about bringing another pitcher of beer, even though one pitcher had been finished in a single round. We were also told that we had from 5 pm to 7 pm and that we actually have to leave as soon as it’s time. When paying, we indicated that we would like to have the price adjusted because we went out to eat with fewer people than agreed; this was not possible because you have to pay for what was reserved. We also pointed out that it had not been discussed that we would receive 3 rounds from them first. This was met with a very irritated reaction, and we were told that those are the terms and conditions and are stated in the hospitality rules. They insisted we should know that too. Moreover, nothing was ever said about the terms and conditions and the ‘hospitality rules’ during our contact. A peculiar approach for a large group, especially regarding how we were treated.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. The sushi wasn’t fresh. Some pieces were warm, which made me wonder how long they had been sitting at room temperature. Some were too cold and you can taste the fridge smell in them. They also didn’t provide tap water and didn’t allow you to drink your own water. Instead, you would be forced to buy their overpriced €4 bottled water. A very disappointing experience.

Not quite all you can eat. Unlike other AYCE restaurants I have been, this place charges extra for sashimi, and limits 3 items per person every 10 minutes. On top of it, the place only allows 2 desserts per person! After paying for a weekend dinner rate, I would expect I can also order as much dessert as I can with the rest of the items. If you think this is not an issue, then you probably haven’t experienced AYCE often. The food quality was pretty good, I will say. Few stand out items were the cheese loempia, and dragon roll. The environment is nice to dine in, but the limitations absolutely killed the experience for us.

This alone makes a visit to Amsterdam worthwhile! We tried a wide variety of dishes from the menu, and there was always something for our children. We had a little trouble with the ordering process at first, as we had to log in with a QR code to place our order, including drinks. The waiter was very friendly and explained everything clearly. Then the culinary adventure began... it was the best sushi we've ever had. Taste, quality, and presentation were all perfect. We'll definitely eat there again on our next visit to Amsterdam, and we're already looking forward to it. Greetings from Austria!

I've finally achieved sushi freedom in Amsterdam! The service was excellent, and two hours was more than enough time to eat my fill. I also noticed the restaurant has updated its menu, offering a wide variety of choices. I personally recommend the salmon and tuna sushi.

It was my first time at Blue Dragon! We had lunch and were able to enjoy it in peace and with plenty of space. All the food arrived fresh and hot at the table. The sushi was also beautifully presented, which certainly gives it a luxurious feel. The staff were very friendly; you could always ask them for something or order more. I’d say it’s definitely worth a repeat visit!

An All-you-can-eat(AYCE) sushi restaurant with a moderate selection of fresh fish. The diversity of the menu is decent too, there are a variety of steamed, fried and raw dishes. The portion sizes are what you expect from many AYCE places in the Netherlands. You can order 3 dishes per person, with a 10 minute interval between each round for 2 hours. Although the selection was wide there were some items on the menu that came at an additional charge which should have been on a deluxe menu, maintaing the AYCE concept. I think customers would be more inclined to opt for that. Nonetheless, with what was available on the normal menu, there is enough to choose from for most people I suspect. We came during lunch on a very quiet day and service was reasonable. Drinks are Amsterdam prices.

Overall, I had a great experience here. The quality of the sushi was very good, everything tasted fresh, and there was a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The menu offers something for everyone, and the service was friendly and efficient throughout the afternoon. That said, I think there are a few small additions that could make the all-you-can-eat menu even better. It would be great to see items like tobiko gunkan and a few more specialty sushi options included, as they would add a bit more variety without drastically changing the concept. My biggest disappointment was that premium items like the lamb chops and a few other dishes require an additional charge. Rather than having these as paid extras, I think it would be fantastic if the restaurant offered a deluxe all-you-can-eat menu at a slightly higher price that included these premium dishes. I think many customers would happily pay a little more for a more complete experience. Overall, it’s a restaurant I’d definitely recommend. The food is delicious, there’s a great selection, and with a few thoughtful improvements, it could easily become one of the best AYCE sushi spots around.

Waitress and waiters gave attitudes all the time and added the dishes that were not ordered to the bill. The boss is extremely rude. They always throw the dirty labels in the food and soaked in the sauce. Don’t think they should be legit

Weekday lunch was such a great deal! A buffet with delicious food and great selection, both hot and cold dishes were quite tasty, especially the salmon! It's just a shame they didn't have foie gras.

Been twice now and both times it was good. The people working there are friendly, and the place itself looks elegant without feeling too formal. For an all you can eat sushi place, the quality is pretty good. The menu is not enormous, but the sushi is well served and what we ordered tasted good. You can order 3 items per person every 10 minutes, which is not a lot, but it was enough for us. They serve quite fast, and both times we left full. The only thing to keep in mind is that nigiri is paid separately, so not everything is included. It is also not super cheap, but for all you can eat sushi in Amsterdam it feels fair enough. I would go again.

Must do when in Amsterdam, great portion size to try a lot of different foods without needing to pay the all yo I can eat price as individually it's more then enough and worth your money. Staff is also great, can't wait to be back!

Wonderful food, great apresentation, but the waiters definately should be friendlier, i almost walked out after 4 min, but i am very pleased that i stayed. The lunchbuffet is a fantastic quality, great choices and a very good price, around 32 Euros.

Had a super fun evening here with a group of friends. For a good price, you can also get a private dining room where you can do karaoke. The quality and portion sizes are also good, especially for a place that is an AYCE (All You Can Eat) venue.

We had called about 20 minutes in advance to ask if we could make a reservation outside. There was space outside at that moment, but the employee absolutely refused to hold a table for us for 20 minutes. We were told that we would “just have to hope for luck” when we arrived. Once we arrived, we were indeed lucky: exactly at that moment, a table outside was being taken away. We sat down, but then we were suddenly told that the table was reserved and that we were not allowed to sit there. That felt very contradictory and customer-unfriendly. First, reservations are supposedly impossible or no table is being held, but when we arrive, it turns out the table *is* suddenly reserved. Very poor communication and a completely unwelcoming experience. We won't be going back a second time.

We stumbled upon the Blue Dragon and were pleasantly surprised how great the food, service and atmosphere was. We’ve had sushi all over the world and I would say the Blue Dragon rates very highly. If you aren’t sure when stood outside, definitely do walk in because the atmosphere inside is a million times better than out (we went on a Saturday early evening). Would definitely come again if we are in town!

The food was great. Small portions as expected for supposedly "all you can eat". But what wasn't expected is that it is NOT ALL YOU CAN EAT! We had 3 "rounds" of which everything was eaten. Some portions were super tiny which is fine if all you can eat. But then the app turned to € per dish. We asked the staff as was only really wanted a chocolate moose but was told it's all extra cost now.

Not great. We abided by the rules, ate everything we ordered and yet well before the 2 hour time limit, all of a sudden, there was a cost to everything on the menu. This was as we wanted to order desserts so it was clear we were coming to the end of our meal but there was still no leeway given. The food itself was okay but €95 for two people, including 1 pitcher of beer, at lunchtime is expensive when it's not truly all you can eat.

There are so many all-you-can-eat options now, and the price is the same. I don't think I'd go there again. On the way home, I developed a stomach ache and diarrhea. The two of us ate here. We'd eaten here before, and we really enjoyed it. Now, after returning, it was very disappointing... The sushi was very tasty, but the rest of the food was very disappointing. A family with a baby also came in and asked if they could change their diapers in the women's restroom. The staff member replied that he didn't know because he'd never been in a women's restroom. A bit odd.

They definitely don't keep you waiting; whatever I ordered, it was on my table in a maximum of 3 minutes. The speed and the team were great. The only downside was that when I wanted dessert, I think there was only one serving of each dessert, and then they charged extra. I recommend making that unlimited. I'm very disappointed. We've eaten here many times in the past, and our last time was in 2024. That's precisely why we were looking forward to returning after a long time, but unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. The menu has changed significantly and been significantly reduced. The sushi selection is now very limited. I also ordered sweet and sour chicken, but it tasted extremely sour, as if a whole lemon had been squeezed into a very small portion. It feels like they're cutting corners wherever possible. That makes it even more disappointing, because we had fond memories of your restaurant. Unfortunately, this visit felt like a waste of money for us. I find that truly disappointing.

I got food poisoning here a month ago. Two or three hours after visiting, the vomiting and diarrhea started. I was in pain for two days. That same day, I informed the restaurant about the food poisoning, and after a week without a response, I went inside and confronted them. A few days later, I received an email from the owner saying he would investigate. Anyway, a month has passed since my report, and I haven't received a proper apology from them. Today, a neighbor pointed out the following: Pest control is inadequate. Based on an NVWA inspection on September 19, 2025. Two weeks before my food poisoning, they were reprimanded by the food and beverage authority for an unsanitary situation with pests. My advice: avoid this restaurant!
