Boem Haarlem in Haarlemmerhoutkwartier

A nice place on a busy road, but you can sit in the lovely, peaceful courtyard. The ladies who work there are sweet and attentive. I was there recently (not my first time at Boem) with my eldest daughter and youngest, who is almost four weeks old. There's plenty of food and drink to choose from, and everything is beautifully presented.

We came here for the third time and unfortunately we were not that enthusiastic anymore. The first time we were still kindly welcomed by the (we think the owner). She was very enthusiastic and we thought we had found a new favorite spot. However, the service was very different this time. Our first drinks were taken quickly (we did not get a menu). We then asked for them ourselves. It took a while before our food was taken (while only 1 other table was occupied). 2 drinks were missing from the breakfast etagère. We asked for them ourselves. No new drinks were taken in between and nothing was cleared from the table. When paying, a double amount was charged, a small mistake but they did not check with us first. Apparently you have to order at the bar yourself? We were told that guests usually come in and order themselves, after we indicated that they had waited a long time for service. Unfortunately it was just not good, this was our last time. Furthermore, it looks very cozy and it is a nice location so hopefully the service can improve. Good luck!

During my exams Boem was my go-to spot for studying. The café has got a large back area and there's also seats outside in the back garden. I'm not the biggest fan of their coffee or the strawberry matcha (which I couldn't taste the matcha in because of the overpowering taste of jam). Their sandwiches however are delicious. The atmosphere is stylish, but in a cozy warm kind of way. I really like the bar in the front where you have lots of natural light and you have a perfect view of everyone walking past.

The ice Matcha is pale, there is almost no Matcha in it. Unfortunately I was in a hurry, and have to leave quickly. I felt sorry to have to write this review, but this is the 3rd time.

Delicious coffee and pastries! Many different lunch options with good vegetarian options. The courtyard is also lovely to sit in and the new workplaces offer privacy. Something for everyone! What an asset to the neighborhood.

Had lunch here last week. The store is comfortably furnished and therefore attractive. However, the coffee is average and the portions are very meager. For a simple sandwich with hummus you pay almost €10, which was disappointing. Clear example of shrinkflation. Unfortunately I won't be coming back because of this. Shame...

Hi! Just wanted to share my experience. I came here for the first time hoping for a nice breakfast. It was wonderfully warm and quiet. But we were not greeted, just looked at a few times. After 10 minutes nothing. Someone came in and walked straight to the waitress and was served straight away. I always wait politely for my turn. Then we just dropped off. Too bad, but unfortunately. More staff might be an idea, I only saw 1 person. And anyway, greeting guests is a must! Good luck!

They have a good menu for breakfast (I have not been another time but the rest of the menu also looks good!) the spelt pancakes and overnights oats are a fav. The barista is also very friendly. There are also baby changing facilities and a small toy area which is really nice. The place is also pram accessible!

Boem had been on our list to 'try out' for years. Last Sunday morning the time had come. The shop was deserted due to the rain, except for an American boy. The waitress was deeply involved in an animated conversation with him and was therefore unable to welcome us. When she still hadn't helped us after almost 10 minutes of waiting, we left. When we said that we didn't find her attitude particularly hospitable, we were snubbed. She said that sometimes she is talking to other customers and that's just how it goes. We expected an apology because she kept us seated for so long. We won't come here again.

Beautiful coffee shop with really good coffee and delicious pastries. The breakfast and lunch menu is varied and has something for everyone. The service is very friendly and knows exactly how to make a delicious coffee!

Tip: pay attention to the volume of the music when there are many people. People automatically talk louder if it is too loud, making it very noisy.

Expensive pizzas. Shocking. Again they are very proud of their prices. They are not interested in what the customer has to pay

Pizza were tasteless and the bases were half cooked, dough was not properly mop of a dough. The Margherita had a predominant taste of origano. The cheese on the 3 formaggi had hardly any taste. I will never order crappy pizzas here again. Nadia Pampiglione

Delicious coffee and good service

Great coffee, nice atmosphere, excellent service, yummy food and awesome pizzas 🍕

The pizza was indescribable. The taste sensation was missing in every aspect. The base was tough, mealy and tasteless. As an Italian, I am ashamed that I had to eat this pizza, but after all, I had already paid €15 for this piece of dough with toppings. I had to. I would have preferred to eat somewhere where they had real Italian pizzas. I'll never come here again.

Heerlijke koffietent waar je je echt even verwend voelt! Rond halen en brengen van school gezellig druk, daaromheen rustiger waardoor je er goed kunt afspreken. Met mooi weer is de tuin echt perfect!

Heerlijke koffie, een prachtige plek en ontzettend lief en behulpzaam personeel. Haarlem is een parel rijker! Ik ben fan en kom snel weer langs.

Ik haal hier graag mijn koffie, maar ook een heerlijk glas wijn!

Heerlijke plek om even te genieten van een bakkie koffie of een lekker ontbijtje. Pizza's hebben ze ook tegenwoordig! Aanradertje.

Super cosy place to be, met verschillende hoekjes en plekjes om te zitten, en met als grote verassing de heerlijke tuin aan de achterkant, waar het zelfs met de warmte heerlijk vertoeven is!

De koffie was goed en lekker de meiden deden hun best door gebrek aan personeel uurtje later open. Dit kan funest zijn voor je business als het vaker voorkomt dan haken mensen af want het zit in een omgeving waar je eigenlijk speciaal naar toe fietst. Toasti besteld en ik dacht krijg een heerlijke toasti met goed beleg en dikbrood voor 7euro niets is minder waar het blijkt een toasti op 2e hands casino brood te zijn idee erachter is okay maar de prijs sorry hoor echt belachelijk

Op zondag hebben we Boem! voor een paar uurtjes afgehuurd voor het vieren van de verjaardag van onze dochter. De zaak was leuk versierd en er was een prachtige red velvet cake gebakken met een super leuk prinsessenkroontje die iedereen uiteraard even op wilde. De taart was ook heerlijk! Bedankt Boem!

The interior looks very nice. They have decaf coffee, also oat milk. And they are very friendly. The toasties were a bit uninteresting, dry and small so maybe that's something that could be improved on the menu? I also wasnt a big fan of the spinach cake I tried.

Wish I could give the five star rating three times, but that wouldn't leave room for improvement. Would suggest to display the sweets more attractively. And maybe add a salad or two for lunch Other than this, I 💕 coming here!
