We celebrated Christmas there with our company, GEA. Delicious snacks and a great atmosphere.

Had dinner at Boode Foodbar last night. Delicious food with generous portions. It also has a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommended!

Delicious food, great atmosphere and above all friendly service

Last weekend we celebrated our anniversary in the conservatory. We were thrilled with the food, the venue, and the staff. Everything was beautifully decorated, and they were very helpful. The team is incredibly flexible and welcoming; highly recommended!

What a wonderful surprise! It was our first time here. Very friendly service and the food was absolutely delicious. It's a true taste sensation, but not overdone. Highly recommended.

We were here for a farewell reception before a cremation in a hall owned by Boode. There weren't enough seats, and the room was hot and stuffy. There were a few staff members moving chairs, but I felt it was disorganized. We watched the farewell ceremony standing at the bar. I should add, though, that the funeral director didn't do much to help.

Waited for 45 minutes for coffee, then left.

Kitchen ok. But that background "music" during dinner is extremely disturbing. It is not music at all, but only a bass that you hear and none of the people who are eating ask for this. The five of us ate and had something to exchange with each other, but our request to turn off the "music" was hardly or not at all responded to. That is why they will not see us again. I also presented this to a catering entrepreneur in Amsterdam and he only needed 1 word: Stupid.

We were able to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary on May 10, 2025 Boode! What a fantastic job Team Boode did, from the snacks, drinks and decorations everything down to the Perfectly done! Thank you very much!

The name Boode Foodbar is an understatement for the haute cuisine prepared here. Haven't had such a fantastic meal in a long time! A palette of refined flavors, beautifully presented. On a sunny Sunday afternoon on the terrace we enjoyed a 4-course menu, preceded by an appetizer. A feast for the eyes and the taste buds!! And perfect service. A top family business that I would love to return to. In my opinion the best restaurant in the Deventer region.

At Boode in Bathmen my wife and I drank a delicious latte with well-filled and very tasty pastries. The young lady in question who provided us with coffee and pastries was very friendly. A great start to a wonderful cycling day.

We kwamen er bij toeval langs, leuk en zonnig terras, goed en vriendelijke bediening. Uitstekend gegeten en we konden er prima even een zakelijk gesprek hebben. Het restaurant bied meerder mogelijkheden en er zitten diverse zalen bij. Allemaal erg sfeervol in gericht. Zeer de moeite waard! We komen zeker nog een keer terug privé of zakelijk.

We were there for a private memorial service. Great space, just for us with our own entrance, great service and good sandwiches! Recommended.

What a nice restaurant! We enjoyed a 4 course menu and it was delicious! The service is very hospitable and the sommelier also knew how to choose the perfect wine for us. It was also nice that there was a welcome snack and that bread was served on the side. In terms of atmosphere, I would try to create slightly warmer light, but this is the only point of feedback. We will definitely come here again!

Kerstavond heerlijk gegeten met de kinderen/kleinkinderen. Het eten de bediening de sfeer was top. Daarnaast de muziek ( life zang en gitaar) heel goed !prima mooie stemmen sfeervolle muziek en volume helemaal oké!!.

Een etentje bij Boode in Bathmen is een aanrader. Met vrienden genoten van heerlijk eten in het gezellige restaurant. Ook de bediening was super! We gaan zeker nog een keer terug.

Echt super lekker gegeten met een leuk gezelschap! Leuk personeel en een fijne sfeer! Eten was top en het verrassingsmenu was echt vernieuwend.

Wederom lekker geluncht. Mooie verzorgde gerechten die verrassend ogen. Broodje tonijn is aanrader. Dikke bruine boterham met lekkere ingrediënten.

Een prachtige lokatie, sfeervol interieur en rust. Hier kan je elkaar verstaan tijdens het eten. Helemaal blij. Fijne bediening ook. Maar iets minder blij met het menu. Zo langzamerhand moet toch ook bij restaurants meer aandacht komen voor voldoende groente. Al die vleesgerechten met één worteltje zijn toch wel passé. Dat kan beter maar toch een fijne avond gehad.

Very pricey for what you get...and then some of the ingredients of the sandwich were missing. 1 slice of bread with some toppings for 14 euros...I expected more.

Met 10 mensen aan de Chef's Table in de keuken gegeten. Wat een heerlijke, intieme en sfeervolle plek met zicht op de drukke werkzaamheden in de grote keuken met het jonge, vriendelijke, vrolijke team. Eigen gastheer Thijs zorgde perfect voor ons! We namen het 4 gangen menu en konden gerechten aanpassen als iets niet helemaal je voorkeur had: zeer blij met deze flexibiliteit! Top gedaan Chef! Mooie opgemaakte borden, porties niet te groot, maar goed. Goede wijnen op de kaart (huiswijn Primitivo voor €30.00 is top!). Wij hadden een topavond, voelden ons verwend, gehoord en gezien; dank je wel allemaal. Tot ziens.

We had a delicious meal with the 4 of us at a beautiful large round table. 2 had a 4 course chef's choice menu and the other 2 had 3 courses a la carte because they wanted the weekly special, surf and turf, as a main course. Appetizer and sandwiches as an appetizer, butter, olive oil and sea salt. The number of different courses went well until dessert, which did not come at the same time, a minor miscommunication. Normally not a problem, but we would have liked to swap desserts. Can happen. Furthermore, very nice and friendly service. Definitely worth repeating. Please note, credit card is not (yet) accepted, they are still working on arranging it.

Delicious food, unfortunately the white wine was not at the right temperature, so we only received the selected chilled glass of wine late. But…the service was extremely friendly and relaxed. We will definitely come back with friends. The name Foodbar does not indicate what quality is delivered, it was surprising and very tasty!!

Since the current owners took over in mid-2023, Boode has been as great as ever. The kitchen is classy (even after the menu adjustment), just like the wine list. Price/quality ratio is perfectly fine. The good, personal service is very pleasant. We'll be back.

Sinds de huidige eigenaren het medio 2023 hebben overgenomen is Boode (Foodbar) weer top als vanouds. De keuken is klasse (ook na de menu-bijstelling) net als de wijnkaart. Prijs/kwaliteitverhouding is dik in orde. De goede, persoonlijke service is erg prettig. Het beste restaurant van alle dorpen rond Deventer, wij komen zeker regelmatig terug.

We just had a super fun cocktail course from Thijs. What fun we had... Thijs is doing great. Highly recommended. 4 cocktails and a drinks plate. We are still enjoying it now. We thought it was fantastic.

Had dinner with our neighbors last night. Place was fine. Staff not professional. Lady did not know what type of fish was served in the surprise menu. The dishes were nicely served, but the portions were very small. We were also not offered to order extra vegetables or potatoes/fries. Had to ask for the pepper mill. Looked nice But it worked and the screws fell out. The cappuccino was cold. Did get a new one. All in all, not worth repeating for me. Good luck with your business

Had a delicious meal at Boode this week. What a great restaurant it has become. From delicious dishes to the very extensive wine list that the maître is happy to explain. The ending, the Lemon Tartelette, was also delicious!

Ordered coffee and cake from you for the third time this morning. The pastry was not good the previous times. Well, let's try it again. The pastry was either a lemon meringue or a chocolate tart. I ordered the chocolate cake. I was looking forward to that. My mother didn't want any more cakes. I regret not taking a photo. It was a cookie with some chocolate filling. It looked straight from the supermarket. I haven't even bothered to dress it up with some whipped cream and some fruit. Costs around 5 euros. When paying I also indicated that this is really not possible. It would be passed on to the kitchen. But does the kitchen have anything to do with this?

Menu van de chef 4 gangen voor 49 euro. Echt voor de fijn proever. Geen super grote porties maar zeer uitgebalanceerd en erg lekker en zeker genoeg. Niet gewoon maar top!

The coffee was really undrinkable and we asked for apple pie but got an apple tartin, well, maybe they should be half cooked but this was really not tasty.

The food itself is excellent, and the ambiance is certainly pleasant. But then... The place is almost empty and there are three employees working the counter. Yet we have to wait a very long time for the sandwich that we long for and that we see appearing on other tables. Unfortunately, despite asking, that sandwich only comes after the starter! Then there are four of us, we get our different dishes, although the waiter doesn't know where to put which plate. And when later (much later, the food is almost gone) the garnish comes (fries/lettuce) then he puts it on the wrong plate again, exactly on the other side of the table. Annoyance is the worst thing if you want to go out for a nice meal. And then the final piece: The bill. Unfortunately, that is not entirely correct. On a bill of 346 euros, no less than 95 euros will be charged too much. Waitress response: "Good that you checked."

Wat kan ik zeggen. Ik ben een beetje op het verkeerde been gezet omdat ik ergens had gezien dat het prijsniveau gemiddeld zou zijn. Ik vond de prijzen op de menukaart hoog! Ja, de entourage was leuk, ja, het geserveerde eten zeker goed, maar.. ik weet niet. Voor dat geld, 155, met zijn tween voor een voor- en hoofdgerecht, geen dessert, geen wijnarrangement, wel gewone koffie, geen friandises, verwacht ik meer. Ja, je kon gaan voor een chefs menu drie gangen voor 55 euro per persoon, met oplopende prijzen voor meer gangen, maar het blijft aan de prijs. Als het geserveerde en het gastheer/vrouwschap helemaal af waren geweest, dan zou het kunnen kloppen. De gerechten waren echt goed, daar niet van. Maar net niet compleet. De extra bestelde frietjes zouden niet nodig moeten zijn. En al helemaal geen friet, trouwens. Het serveren en de uitleg kan nog vele malen beter. Flesje fris uitserveren dat in het op tafel staande wijnglas werd uitgeschonken, deed raar aan. Kortom, prijs/kwaliteit staat (nog) niet in verhouding, maar we hebben zeker goed gegeten. De foodbar heeft potentie maar is er wat mij betreft nog niet.

Had a wedding party. This environment is always familiar. So yes, I recommend this place.

Took a 4-course chef's choice. In advance we opted for an oyster with an Iberico ham. Highly recommended! Then we started with the 4 course menu. First some small snacks (seed cracker, sandwich and a cucumber amuse) followed by a dish with various tomato preparations. Followed by a sea bass. The 3rd course was a veal entreco and the ending was a dessert with ice cream and a mouse. Super tasty, balanced. Staff is good, fast and doesn't let you down. Nice restaurant, nice location, especially in Bathmen. Highly recommended!
