Bospaviljoen De Vallei in Wijk 07 Duinzoom

Last Sunday I had fries at the Bospaviljoen; I really enjoyed it. I was helped by a tall, dark-blonde woman who was super friendly. Kudos for the service!!

A good place to stop after a visit to the De Helderse Vallei Visitors Centre

It's a snack bar after all...the prices don't reflect that. A healthy sandwich...a whopping 11 euros!!!...that sandwich is a complete meal here, while in a "normal" snack bar it's a simple sandwich for around 4 euros...and I think the fries are leftovers from the previous customer...just hard bits...not good. I'll eat here once, but never again...the previous owner was much better...very bad.

It's strange that your website says you're open until 7:00 PM on Sunday evenings, and when I try to buy fries at 6:25 PM, I'm told I can only order ice cream because they've already started cleaning. Sorry, but I find that very customer-unfriendly.

Super delicious freshly baked cakes and apple pies are peeled by hand so there's no core, etc., and the coffee is fantastic. And delicious ice cream.

What a lovely place to sit! Even to crash and work on your laptop (like me). A delicious selection of cakes (homemade, tons of different kinds) and fries (wedges) in all shapes and sizes, sandwiches and wraps... Plenty to choose from, I'd say. And the hospitable staff... Love it!

Friendly staff. You can get fries, sandwiches, and everything a snack bar offers. They also have ice cream and milkshakes. Keep in mind that if you order fries and a milkshake, for example, you'll have to order your milkshake or ice cream separately at a different counter. Therefore, not 5 stars for the service.

I come here every week to get a dirty chai latte in the morning, and then take my dog for a walk through the woods. It's always nice and quiet in the morning, and the staff is always super welcoming and dog-friendly. They even sell pup cups! It's a truly great place.

The destination for the day was the Kofferbagmarkt (Suitcase Bag Market). A lovely little flea market that takes place every Friday from April to September. 🫶🏻You can find everything from clothes and children's clothing to toys and vinyl records. That's how we got to the Bospaviljoen de Vallei... A small "restaurant" where you can get ice cream, coffee, and various small snacks. Prices are reasonable and not more expensive than in Germany. No run-of-the-mill fries, but delicious potato wedges, 😋. The people sitting next to us also said the ice cream 🍦 was good😊 We also found it cozy. Dogs are welcome 👍🏻 we had two. There are also small visitors like jackdaws and seagulls 🥰 Right next door is a small zoo and play areas for children 👍🏻 The park is beautifully designed and it's free too ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We wanted to order 2 simple sandwiches with something to drink. We had to wait a long time before we were finally helped. In the meantime, there are 5 men/women loitering behind the counter. We ordered 2 sandwiches, the lady looks at her watch and then says: we don't make sandwiches after 4:30 PM. How difficult can it be to make a simple ham/cheese sandwich? And they also charge exorbitant prices for it😠. It didn't look very fresh and clean inside either. I don't think it will exist for long.

Very cozy tent, you can see that the new owner is really making something of it! The good fries are the same but now supplemented with delicious various sandwiches and the many choices of ice cream 😊 We will definitely come back here!!

Very good coffee, friendly service. The toaster with ham and cheese was also delicious. Our dog was allowed in too.

The worst fries I have ever eaten are all small hard pieces and should not be called fries. Peanut sauce was really terrible, both in color and taste. Beef croquette is very small in size and was fried half empty. Then ask for a tip at checkout...how dare they...

Very tasty coffee and definitely worth another stop. Located right on the street and recommended for a quick snack! 😇

The service was a bit on the mediocre side, they are open until seven o'clock, but to order a sandwich they were no longer able to make one at half past five. The price was also quite high for a very small bowl of fries. A change to an order for mayonnaise after checkout was also not really possible.

Waited on the terrace for 10 minutes, no one came to take their order, when they walked in there were 3 people and after 5 minutes they were done, we left, very unfortunate

The forest pavilion has really been renovated and it looks beautiful. It's also great that ice cream is now available. The service just needs some attention and I say this out of love because I wish you success. Previously, you could order and pay for ice cream separately. Now everyone has to stand in one line and you have to wait a very long time to pay while the boy who scoops the ice cream stands helplessly staring into space with his shoulders up. He wants to, but apparently he's not allowed. Also let that boy pay with a separate wallet or something. You really lose money this way and it seems super customer unfriendly when it's busy and the other staff doesn't help anyone. Last Sunday, a lady in front of me in line suddenly got ice cream, but then had to go back in line at the counter to pay while her ice cream for the whole family was melting. Provide a solution guys, you have gold in your hands, but something really needs to be done about your ordering/checkout system.

Today I stood in line for an ice cream for a long time, many people who also walked away because it took so long. Nice staff but not really quick, also inexperienced staff behind the cash register who did not know how to give money back, so this took an unnecessarily long time, please, you are missing out on money and customers. Atmosphere and food are excellent.

We sat on the terrace and had lunch. Delicious wraps, fresh fries and good coffee!

Tastiest ice cream in Den Helder

Not customer friendly at all, they do nothing to help customers as best as possible!!! Last time I come here

We took a break here after our hike in the nearby dunes. The food tasted very good and the prices are reasonable. The young women who served us were very friendly and spoke Dutch, English and German, which we thought was great. A great shop near the parking lot with some seating and good food, you can take a break here. :D

Such a shame, you always had delicious creamy soft ice cream, even last week. Just like in my own snack bar once. Today the ice cream was milky in taste. I reported it to the staff, but the girl insisted that nothing had changed. Pity...

Nice place, but not conveniently laid out behind the counter. Had a chocolate milkshake that tasted of nothing. Also had a coffee which came much later. Maybe things would go better with a third person, they clearly couldn't handle it with just the two of them. And the milkshake, don't be stingy with the seasoning. This was never again. Price quality was disappointing

This morning 1 cappuccino and 1 coffee...took a terribly long time, but the worst part was the cappuccino was cold... They are not catering tigers!! Terrace unpleasant and little atmosphere. And then pay 6.25 for cold coffee???

Really super tasty fries with mayo. Many a beach pavilion can learn a lesson from this. The soft ice cream is also very good. No toilets on site

Food is delicious and the staff is friendly!

Really super tasty fries, we looked for them here for days in vain. Plus a good coffee and a delicious ice cream at the end. That's the way it has to be!

Lekker softijs, prima prijs voor de hoeveelheid die je krijgt. Erg sfeervol geworden, terras en binnen keurig schoon en verzorgd. Aardig geholpen. Ga zo door!

Sfeervol paviljoen, heerlijke patat van het populaire Haarlemse Friethoes, lekker ijs en hele vriendelijke bediening. Wij komen hier graag vaker terug!

We hebben hier na een wandeling in de donkere duinen heerlijk gegeten met onze gezin. Verse patatjes waren top en zelfs de vega kroket (mijn man was overtuigd dat er rundvlees in zat) was heerlijk. We komen zeker terug!

Lekkerste softijs van Den Helder!

Volgens mij net (opnieuw?) geopend. Lekker cola (niet de standaard meuk) en goede espresso. Bediening was heel lief en geïnteresseerd. Aanrader! PS Denk wel dat de wc aan de buitenkant goed in de gaten moet worden gehouden.

Ja wat een top tent, nu al! Lekkere patat en snacks, (h)eerlijke koffie en geweldig ijs! Dit had Den Helder nodig!
