I would never have gone there myself. My work Christmas drinks/party were held at this location. At first I thought it was going to be a long evening. In the end I actually had quite a good time! Everything looks nice and neat. Staff was nice. Food was less unfortunately. Taste-wise it wasn't bad, but it wasn't very special either. Unfortunately, perhaps due to the size of the group, much of the food was lukewarm. All in all a nice evening out.

Played and ate at BoulesBitesBar tonight. Reception was friendly, we could start straight away. Rules of the game are clearly explained and everything was self-explanatory. Drinks fine, playing was a lot of fun. Then ate. Service was very curt but not unfriendly. Fries were very salty and old, soggy buns. Hamburgers clearly not fresh but frozen. Satay was decent. All in all, highly recommended, but the food and service really deserve attention, especially for this money. N.a.v. owner's response: are you going to do something about it, because everyone says more or less the same thing... 😇

Nice concept, with 9 courts there is enough space to play jeu de boules with friends or family. Excellent service, it was quite quiet when we were there so we didn't really have a good chance to assess the atmosphere.

Brilliant place. Love it. Pool table is 100%. Food is decent and drinks are reasonable. Must go for youth or couples

Friday evening, 12-07-2024, 9:55 PM. We walk into a business that is open until 11 p.m., it says on the door and online. The employee told us that they were already closing... Too bad about this kind of experience because we would have liked to play, drink and have a snack! It is a big contrast to the fantastic location in Alkmaar!

The food could be better, it took too long to get something and was finished quickly with a large group

Atmosphereless, soulless, lukewarm food, dessert came an hour later, many colleagues had already left, no apology or a saving grace, overcrowded tables that were not cleared. It was supposed to be busy but that wasn't the case at all. Fortunately, we had a lot of fun as a team (and that's why this formula gets away with it).

Went to a company outing today So bad. ..there is nothing positive to tell.if I could minus stars Granted...I have a serious tomato allergy myself...I had discussions with the company for 3 weeks and was 100% certain that I could eat there. What I wanted... upon entering I hear that it is not possible and maybe you would like baguette... you can eat that with us... so they do not take allergens into account They had also forgotten soup for dinner. The food was very average and quite expensive for the quality. The service took a very long time even though it was not necessarily busy.

Nice tent itself but very noisy. The concept is funny, but there should also be an opportunity to chill out for a while. The acoustics of the location are not in order for this. Food and drinks are reasonable.

What a ball tent and not literally... The courts are not suitable for petanque at all. The balls bounce in all directions because the layer of pebbles is too thin. Furthermore, the drinks are ridiculously expensive. Luckily I didn't eat here myself, because my friends only got their food after 2 hours...

Very slow service, food nothing special.

Worst service I've ever experienced. No greetings of any kind were received upon entry. We waited 5 minutes at the bar for an employee to help us. The lady in question had enough time to check her phone and take a sip of her drink. Finally asked for a free table, where we waited another 10 minutes until we wanted to order at the bar ourselves. After waiting 5 minutes and not having had any eye contact with the employees, we got fed up and went to the Hollywood Café next door where everything was fine and there was a better atmosphere than this place.

It was fun to try once, but not for again. There is an atmosphere and coziness missing. The service for ordering is also substandard, you quickly have to go to the bar to order something yourself. I personally didn't find snacks very special. The service regarding reservations etc. was great. I was promptly called back due to a mistake I made.

Nice thing. The track was neat, even sprayed briefly to prevent dust. Food was very good. Very friendly staff.

Truly a case of overpromise and underdeliver. Website looks good, as does the arrangement, but the execution on the day itself leaves much to be desired… The employees really do their best, thank you for that!

Due to good marketing and haste, my friend accidentally made a reservation at Boules and Bites bar instead of Beautiful Boules. Immediately after he made the reservation, he sent an email with the request to cancel this reservation. He couldn't cancel anywhere in the confirmation. Unfortunately, we have not received a response after several emails. When I called to request to cancel the reservation, I was told that we would not get our deposit back. I think it's a shame that this is a condition and that it is somewhere in the small print. If you didn't use a service and attempted to cancel in time, you should at least get a refund. In this way, some people are still lured to Boules Bites Bar. Pity.

Poor food, at the Smullers you get better for half the price. One of our group also forgot with the food. Way too expensive for what it is. The bocce is fun

Not a lot of fun. The court is made with big gravel stones. When you look under the gravel you can see a rubber underfloor. On this court the balls bounce all over the place. They probably chose this because it’s cleaner than sand and makes less of a mess. Unfortunately this makes games very random and unpredictable. I would not recommend going here. Would reconsider if they change to sand courts.

Jeu de boules is fun in this concept, but the catering industry is terrible. Drinks with the game take 30 minutes after asking several times. Eating was a complete joke with 10 people. Waited for over an hour, then 3 out of 10 people got food after asking several times where it was. When these 3 people finished it, 5 more plates came and then nothing more. 2 people completely forgotten. When choosing the food, when asked what the soup of the day was, it was said that it had run out due to delivery problems. An hour later, a group behind us all received a bowl of soup, and our surprise was great. After ordering, our menu was changed several times because products turned out not to be there. Quite a damper on what should have been a fun night out. Staff does not seem very receptive to the feedback, on the bill we mention that 2 dishes never arrived, except for 'oh how strange, I will take them off the bill' no further action is taken. No excuses, no compensation, nothing.

Service was very slow . They said they couldn’t make cocktails because the person who made them wasn’t there . As i was walking out they said they could now make the cocktail. I had a very terrible margarita(would not recommend). We ordered food and and took a long time to come out . When it did come it was very disappointing . I had jalapeño burger which I couldn’t finish because of the taste 😞.

Nice concept to hang out with friends. You play boules, while drinking a beer.

Mediocre experience. Boules court fun, but not really exciting. We entered a large tent where no one was there. Now I understand why, because food came with difficulty after about 45 minutes. Running out of shelves was used as an excuse. Man, I could have gone to the Media Markt, bought a deep fryer and baked a bitterbal myself. How? Serve it on something else in the kitchen. What a mockery. When the food arrived it was tasty, but we were already done with it. We ate/paid for the snacks and wine and left quickly. Not to be repeated. How can simple things like bitterballen and frikandels take so long in a huge tent with so few customers? Bizarre.

They had none of the draft beers and would not make cocktails for some reason(?) Food was not great and we would recommend you don’t order any. We all got sick after eating it. Game of petanque was fine.

Very bad experience, food was not ok, we were with a group, several people didn’t feel well at night because of the food, the petanque is not like it should be, the owners better go and see a real pétanque in france, I would not recommend this place, better stay away…

The gravel on the lanes creates dust in the air that gets in your eyes and is very unpleasant to breathe. The food is really terribly basic... cabbage as salad? Fries fried so greasy that they are transparent, only a choice of burgers that seem to come straight from a run-down snack bar with barely a lettuce leaf on them and the simplest bun. And don't forget the one drop of 'sauce'. It is absolutely not difficult to make a good burger with fried potato wedges and a normal salad with vegetables. Invest a little in your business. Just something that doesn't make it feel like that disgusting snack bar you sit at at 4 am after a night out. And the toilets smelled of poop and cleaning products. Finally, I ordered a ginger tea to wash away the bad taste, but the ginger had green mold on it. The room looks neat and tidy with a plant here and there, neat tables and plenty of space, which gives the impression that it is would be better than it ended up being... Do better!

Dear Remco and Shante It is with very disappointing experience that I share my disappointment regarding my recent work experience at your organization. It started with unreliable agreements about working days and times, resulting in the fact that in the end I was not even offered to stay. However, this situation has reached a low point as my hours are not paid correctly and I receive no response after repeated contact. The lack of adequate management, especially from Shante and the owner Remco, clearly leaves much to be desired. In an attempt to resolve this matter, I have contacted FNF and the Legal Desk. It is disappointing that, after my efforts and dedication, I am confronted with this unpleasant situation. I hope that this matter can be dealt with quickly and appropriately. Pleasant ambience. Good staff. Good beer. But waiting two hours for your food, which is also substandard, is not done for me. Understaffing kills the experience. Missed opportunity! Tip: order bitterballen to bridge the wait.

Groot opgezette bar met voldoende jeu de boules banen. Vriendelijke en goede bediening. De begeleiding bij het jeu de boules spel is er niet, wat ik toch een beetje jammer vond, aangezien we een toernooitje deden. Ik moest dan ook om alles vragen. Toernooi schema, 1ste prijs beker, snacks etc. Het eten was slecht. De burgers zowel kip als vlees waren voorgegaarde sponsen, die je vacuüm verpakt kan kopen en opwarmen. Kip saté was goed maar weinig. 1 stokje. Hapjes waren ok. Sfeer maak je zelf, er was namelijk een bedrijfsfeest waar het personeel zich voor verschuldigde. Het was ok voor 1 keer, maar niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Enorm gezellige plek en super leuke mensen. Echt een aanrader mocht je wat leuks willen doen in Amsterdam. Personeel is erg meedenkend en vriendelijk!

Nice and spacious, the service was really nice, but the food just regular. I had the ribs fingers and a friend of mine a quinoa burger. They have a nice selection of beers. Besides the boules areas, there’s also a pool table, which is a bit pricey. Overall you can have a nice time there.

Goed eten en drinken, mega slechte banen. Vraag me af of de locatie weet wat jeux de boules is.

Wij hebben lekker op het terras genoten van een goede mojito ( á €11,-) en werden vlot geholpen door een vriendelijke dame, Maar inderdaad, zoals je in meerdere reviews leest, duurde het even. Maar goed, wij hadden de tijd (maar ook dorst 😉) dus dan zit je er anders in. Gezien de drukte hadden wij al rekening gehouden dat het wat langer zou duren. Het is geen biertje wat je even tapt of wijn/frisjes wat je inschenkt. Horeca kampt nu eenmaal met een onderbezetting, dus al met al zaten wij er prima en kwam regelmatig personeel kijken of wij nog iets wensten. Over eten kan iets niets zeggen, maar sfeer en personeel was prima zo.

Online een baan reserveren en betalen. Handig! De accommodatie is ontzettend leuk,vriendelijk personeel ! En super leuk om te doen!

Leuke activiteit voor een druilerige dag. Gezellig een potje jeu de boules spelen met een hapje en een drankje erbij. Leuk met z'n tweeën, maar ook zeker geschikt voor een bedrijfsuitje of vrijgezellenavond. Het eten was goed. Kipburger met patat (wel veel) en als toetje een lavacakeje. Miste alleen nog een kast met (bord)spellen, maar hier waren ze mee bezig. Locatie is makkelijk te bereiken per OV of met de auto en je parkeert bijna voor de deur voor €1,30 voor de eerste drie uur. Na het boulen kun je eventueel nog naar de Pathe of wat spelletjes doen in de arcadehal. Leuk gebied waar je je prima kunt vermaken.

Helaas vooral gemiste kansen. Mooi ingericht maar weinig sfeer, slechte bediening (we wilden blijven eten maar na 30 min nog steeds niemand aan de tafel gehad te hebben zijn we gegaan) en grind op een jeu de boules baan? Daarnaast ballen die bijna niet onderling uit elkaar te houden zijn. Maakt het spelletje niet leuker.

Great place to play jeu de boules with French colleagues. Everyone had fun. The food was ok too, but it took a while to get it. For a large group (16), we were obliged to order upfront. Even then the food came an hour late. We did get to play an extra hour while we waited.

Wij hebben onlangs een ontzettend leuke en ontspannen bedrijfsevenement van TND real estate gehouden bij de Boules Bites Bar in Amsterdam-Noord. Zeer makkelijk bereikbare locatie, er hangt een leuke informele sfeer, gezellige inrichting, het boulen is een erg leuke activiteit en de bediening attent en makkelijk in de omgang. Al onze gasten zijn ontspannen en erg positief naar huis gegaan! We hebben goed kunnen overleggen over onze wensen en het aansluiten op hoe wij e.e.a. voor ogen hadden zodat we de juiste sfeer raakten met de sales-afdeling van de Boules Bites Bar. This was the perfect Friday night for me and my 22 year old son after a day of museums. We are still jet lagged so the atmosphere, food, beer, and friendly staff made it much more bearable. I asked for the bartenders’ beer recommendations and they didn’t disappoint. They served me a local west coast ipa and then a funky spicy beer. Both were good. We wanted to try the bitterballen since we were told they were a Dutch food and with the mustard they were delicious. We followed that up with the nachos which were fine but the chicken satay and peanut sauce was really good. We had a fantastic conversation with Emil, Kees, and Romke as they took great care of us at the bar. We went away with full bellies and new knowledge about Amsterdam. Thanks guys! If you are in the area and need some good but simple food and a great ambience, with really nice and helpful servers, check this place out. Plus you can play some boules or some pool.

Leuke sfeer! Je moet lang wachten voor het eten en vervolgens komt het ook nog koud aan! Er is ook niet veel variatie qua eten. Het toetje liet zich te lang wachten, maar hoorde achteraf van collega’s dat de lavacake ook koud was!

Baan heeft grove steentjes waardoor de ballen soms raar weg sprongen. Het eten was gewoon. De hamburger was niet veel meer dan een broodje met een hamburger en wat saus met een augurk. De service was ook gewoon. Bij binnenkomst zie je ze naar je kijken maar komen niet naar je toe. Voelt toch wat vreemd om zo te staan wachten. Ook toen ik ze probeerde aan te spreken draaide ze zich om en liepen een andere kant op. Daar kunnen ze echt nog wel aan werken

I had an amazing experience of outing at this restaurant.The food arrived on time and was absolutely delicious.The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, and the staff was friendly and attentive also. the unique addition of petanque, which added an element of fun and entertainment to the dining experience.Kudos to the staff for providing a great experience !

I recently visited Boules Bites Bar in Amsterdam and was pleasantly surprised by their fantastic selection of snacks. The ambiance of the restaurant was also great, with a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. I tried a variety of snacks on the menu, and each one was more delicious than the last. Personeel vriendelijk En gastvrij. Eten..tsja daar kom je niet voor.................. maar een baan van grof grind kan natuurlijk niet.... Daar kan je niet op spelen ( we zijn toch niet op de camping) enne hoeft ook niet zie boule in utrecht. Jammer ook dat het lekkere bier op was van de tap.

Went there with a group. Very disappointed. Apart from the jeu de boules, nothing great in that place. Food and service are poor. Be prepared to burn your clothes afterwards, as the smell is awfully and will impregnate everything.
