New Castle Bar Amsterdam in Burgwallen-Oude Zijde

€9 for a beer 🍺, ripped off because we're tourists. Be careful coming here, they charge double what you'd pay elsewhere; €3 for the same thing 20m away.

They have 1 euro fee if you pay less than 20 euros by card, they have warnings about it, but this is not acceptable, 20 euros is not such a small amount, and also they don't explicitly tell you about it. Tourist trap essentially.

I was sprayed in the face by the tap of the Heineken by the bar man and didn’t even get an apology. Also £35 for 2 small beers and 2 single vodkas

The place NOT to go when in Amsterdam Overpriced soft and alcoholic drinks, like you're having a drink in a five-star hotel. Warning: there's a one-euro surcharge if you pay by card for anything under 20 euros, and if you complain, the waiter starts crying and says the owner will fire him.

Looked alright from the outside but once inside it's ran by a typical robotic language barrier Arab that does a sly and rips you off with a hidden surcharge which he failed to mention earlier. Not the first and certainly won't be the last

Horrible staff behavior. She treats you (especially if you are non- white) as if someone coming to get her beer for free. I ordered a beer (25cl) and when she bought it, I thought i will upgrade it to a pint. The bar girls outrightly said I need to pay for 2, 25cls rather than upgrading this one which i didn't even touch. Amsterdam has no values for the tourists who visit them. And these bar girls are spoiling that further. For the kind-of racial discrimination, I feel they should get a better life, and travel the world to see and understand ultimately it's the people and not their skin color that matters. In those terms,I believe this can be rated as one of the worst bars in Amsterdam in terms of service.

Bartender was friendly however was served a warm Guinness, ordered a different beer after and over 1/2 was head.

Cheap shots, but they sell you beer, before closing time, and then kick you out knowing they are kicking you out within ,2 mins, and ask you to leave

I went one day when I was in Amsterdam. The drink is well priced, good music and excellent waitresses. A very pleasant treatment. I really liked it so I went the next day before leaving Amsterdam 4/5 *****

Aggressively rude barman. Served our group drinks then tells us to finish then after 5 minutes because he wanted to close up.

Possibly the worst bar in Amsterdam. The staff behavior wholly unacceptable. The drinks, prices, decor and atmosphere bottom of the barrel. Avoid at all costs.

Moins 1 étoile parce qu'il me pleut dessus à l'intérieur. Ne pas aller au fond à droite, le plafond témoigne des fuites.

Es un bar súper turístico en el corazón del Barrio Rojo, la cerveza en tarro grande cuesta €7.50, no es lo más barato pero es taaaaaan turístico que es normal que tenga que ser caro jajajajaja la música es muy decente, muy internacional. Pop internacional y de vez en cuando canciones en español. Recomendable si ya te cansaste de caminar por Ámsterdam y quieres una cerveza gigante.

Buen bar, buen ambiente. La cerveza está un poco cara, 1/10 españoles recomiendan la música que suena porque parece la típica que escucharían los guiris en Magaluf haciendo balconing.

Fuimos para refrescarnos un poco antes de seguir caminando. Tomamos cervezas, disfrutamos de estar sentadas afuera y contemplar la calle y el movimiento. El trato fue amable.

Excelente Bar! Estamos desde Muy lejos visitando esta ciudad y si lo recomiendo. Los precios está bien y las promociones también. Además que si quieres dar una paseo por el Barrio popular de Ámsterdam está en una buena ubicación

It is a very pleasant place with a very beautiful view, in a very central location. The people in the environment were also friendly people. Apart from that, the waiters were concerned and understanding. So I would definitely recommend it. But it would have been better if the football match had not been played on the TV :) The man I was looking at was staring at the game ahahah” By the way, a note: only cash is accepted. Have a nice sitting :)

Good vibe and relaxing place to hang out at. Staff was friendly enough. I stayed here about 30 mins and enjoyed a glass of white wine , and spoke with the bartender. Only a few customers at the time. It was fine and I'd go back.
