Honestly, if you're a Spanish tourist, you shouldn't go if you don't want to be ripped off. If I could give it a negative star rating, I would. Two drinks cost €40, a glass of Tanqueray, and nothing too strong, I'll say no more... and you have to pay for the bathroom.

I asked for tap water for 2 times at first they gave me for free and for the 2nd time they told me they dont serve tap water and charged me 4 euros for a glass of water :D what kind of logic is this?!?!

Been going in here since 2009. Always make a stop when I'm in the Dam. Front window is awesome to just watch people go by and have a smoke.

Came with a group, several did not want to drink alcoholic beverages but still wanted to hang out and purchase other drinks. Paid €9 for a beer and was told by the bartender that if our whole group didnt drink we had to go… AFTER ordering. Scam.

Abbiamo rischiato una rissa per una birra! Il personale è scortese e aggressivo. Entriamo in un gruppo di 5 persone per prendere una birra al volo. Una volta entrati si vede già il posto squallido e sporco. L'odore è sgradevole, un misto tra fognatura e fumo stantìo. Tra di noi una persona anziana diabetica che non poteva assumere alcol o altre bevande. Ordiniamo 4 birre e paghiamo immediatamente alla cameriera, mentre la persona anziana non ordina. Dopo pochi minuti si avvicina un tipo di bassa statura, forse il proprietario, alla persona anziana che non aveva ordinato e lo invita ad ordinare un'altra birra o ad andare fuori. Gli facciamo notare che avevamo appena preso da bere e giusto il tempo di consumare e saremmo andati via. Il tipo allora comincia a scaldarsi e ad avvicinarsi con fare minaccioso. Con lui altre quattro persone, tra cui un energumeno con la scritta security sulla giacca che prende per il braccio la persona anziana e la strattona fuori. La situazione va fuori controllo ed entrano altri tipi loschi minacciosi che ci circondano. L'energumeno della security, si interpone tra noi e questi tipi loschi e ostili evitando il contatto. Decidiamo di lasciare perdere per evitare una rissa, vista anche l'inferiorità numerica e l'aspetto poco raccomandabile di quei brutti ceffi. Lasciamo le birre ancore sane al banco e andiamo via, ma vediamo che due di quei tipi ci seguono a distanza fino a quando arriviamo in una zona più affollata. Esperienza terribile. Non fatevi ingannare dai video e foto sui social che fanno vedere che si divertono. Il locale è angusto, sporco e frequentato da delinquenti rissosi.

Couple of stooges in front window, was offered 5 bottles for the price of 4 from a list but still charged me full price (€37.50) Also noticed that he only put it through his till as €22.50, robbing his boss tut tut tut

Non consigliato, barsta sgorbutico e maleducato. Costringe la gente a bere per forza minacciando. Abbiamo sfiorato la rissa nonostante tutti stavamo bevendo tranne una persona. Poi è venuto l'omino della Michelin (security) che con la sua stazza fisica voleva intimorirci, ma a questo voglio dirgli che se non ci trovavamo fuori dalla nostra nazione, le cose sarebbero andate diversamente. EVITATE questo luogo se non volete rovinarvi la vacanza, perchè questi si comportano in questa maniera scorretta solo con i turisti.

Evitate questo postaccio, il Barman è un grandissimo maleducato e ti costringe a spendere e bere senza sosta. Se ti fermi di bere ti minaccia e ti caccia fuori. Credo che lo faccia prevalentemente con i turisti.

Avoid it, not recommended. Being threatened with being beaten because someone who was with us didn't want to drink. In other circumstances it would have ended differently and they wouldn't have bullied so much.

This became one of my favorite bars in Amsterdam, on my last trip, in August. A great selection of drinks, and a great atmosphere. It gets busy at night, but I could always find a seat. They allow weed smoking, which went well with my jack Daniel’s and coke! Music always playing, while everyone is enjoying themselves. Sport shown on several screens. The staff are very friendly, and help create a great atmosphere, making sure everyone is happy. They even had a sexy lady dancing on the bar, entertaining customers. For a wild fun filled night in Amsterdam, visit this bar!

5 years of living in Amsterdam, not once a security took my drink OUT OF MY HAND and spilled it. I was in disbelief what was the point of that, we were only smoking when this happened.Such a wat to ruin someones mood especially after the nice conversation with the south American bartender. Never come here.

Absolute amazing bar would definitely recommend to anyone in amsterdam, Oscar was absolutely magnificent, friendly, kind and was very keen to keep everyone enjoying their time. If you come to Amsterdam go to this bar as the staff and atmosphere is excellent

We discovered Hot or Not on our first day in Amsterdam and found very friendly staff who were always available for a chat. We found a seat by the window and spent a lot of time watching people pass by. We can only recommend Hot or Not to you!

Visited and the bar maid vewas very helpful and was the most lovely when I became unwell. Kept my partner calm and provided lots of reassurance and sugary drinks to help me get back to normal. Highly recommend and thank you so much for looking after me 😊

Drinks expensive and then have to pay to use the toilet!! As a paying customer that is a joke, I understand if you come in off the street but when you just spend €30 on drinks to then have to pay to use the toilet is joking, go elsewhere is my advice like belushis up the road excellent food and drinks there and the toilet is free for paying customers. Also to add the bar tender served me then half way though started having a full blown conversation with someone else for ten minutes before taking my payment then took another 10 minutes to give m my change.

Overpriced drinks don’t mention full price on menu. 33€ for two drinks. we ended up waiting 30 minutes for our pina coladas and they put on the pina colada song and finally gave us our drinks. It felt like a joke, charged you to use the bathroom even as a paying customer. Also it isn’t their first time taking advantage of others, I would avoid

Ad others have said, I'm sure it's fine most of the time... however there's some dare I say sociopathic bar maid who picks on tourists to exploit. This is my 2nd day on my 1st ever holiday. A healing trip after the loss of my teenage son. So I'm well past my limit. It was all friendly on arrival can I get you a drink do you want doubles. Having never paid more than maybe 7quid for a rum amd come I felt confident. We had 30 quid left on us for the day. Surely we get a get a quick drink wthat before heading back to hotel. Then she said that'll be 40 euros. So we panicked and sorry we can not get these well have to leave. She had the bouncer physically throw me away from my husband. They then manhandled my husband to back room. I, as its not been a year, mentally couldn't cope and just broke down for my husband, confused and begging for him. Explaining my situation, I got publicly bullied and gas lit. Called a drama queen for sobbing and to dililute my claims so I looked actually drunk over distressed. I so didn't see this coming, I'd actually heard goid things. I honestly felt set up. This may be my last holiday ever, i honestly am scared. I just want believe people with no empathy and that level of nastiness exist in such a peaceful place. I didn't get those drinks... but I did get abuse in several ways. And humiliated for what??? Common decency and is free universally. Otherwise trips been great and the Netherlands is a friendly place to my experience. I'm sad but not surprised to hear others have had a similar experience. She doesn't care and will definitely do that more, possibly the bouncer trusts her too much or its sone game. But they know they aren't playing a fair pricing game. Like just show ppl a menu 1st. My son died partially cause of bully's... so this cut deep, so outra nowhere. I'm scared to go on my tours tomorrow in the area, they terrify me. No reasonabillity.

War für uns der coolste Shop dieser Art in Amsterdam. Bedienungen, Putzfrau, Ambiente.. Alles sehr eckig und kernig, aber voller Gastfreundschaft und Herzlichkeit. Immer wieder gerne, zumal die Preise im Leistungsverhältnis sehr erschwinglich sind.

Völlig überteuert. Für 2 Getränke (Gin Tonic und Vodka e) 32 Euro... kitschig und trotzdem hat es ein wenig Charme.. die Bardame war nett und auf Zack :) das man als zahlender Gast aber noch für die nicht sonderlich gepflegte Toilette zahlen muss, war etwas drüber ;) aber es war trotzdem ganz lustig...

Lo mejor de este sitio es su camarera Roxy, cercana, super amable y atenta a todo, es la mejor. La zona está super bien, muy ambientada, aunque para ambiente dentro de este bar con los temazos de la Roxy. Precio habitual de amsterdam, se puede fumar marihuana dentro además de pedirte unos cubatas chulisimos made by Roxy y unos chupitos.

Me encanta ir a este bar, siempre me tratan bien , en especial, Roxy , la camarera del bar que es la mejor!! Volveré pronto

My husband and I went on a birthday trip and this was one of our main stops. Buy your flower from the shop and come here for drinks. Bartenders were great. Super friendly and helpful with recommendations on what places to visit.

Bar idéal pour boire (alcool) et fumé en même temps. Une belle ambiance avec une belle déco. Les points négatifs des tarifs pour ma part élevé (6€ un soda certe 50cl) et des tables et carte qui collent, un coup de propre serait sympa. Dommage

Absurdly rude, confrontational staff, who need to learn manners and realise that customers are the people who pay their wages rather than being people to exploit and attack. Tried to charge us €20 for a single Malibu and coke! When we questioned it we were threateningly told to leave. Factually not the price of the drink. No part of me was willing to pay €48 for a bartender to pour part of a larger container into a smaller container with ice. Avoid at all costs.
