I had the opportunity to sit at the counter facing the kitchen. This setup makes a real difference: you’re not just dining, you’re watching the rhythm of service unfold, the coordination of the team, and you can naturally interact with the chefs throughout the evening. The atmosphere is lively yet controlled, with a strong sense of precision. The service was both friendly and highly professional, without any unnecessary formality. The team felt well-trained, confident, and fully in sync even during the busiest moments. On the culinary side, the focus is clear: product-driven cooking with clean execution and well-balanced flavours. * The oysters from the south of the Netherlands, served with a house-made accompaniment, were excellent: fresh, briny, and enhanced by a subtle seasoning that elevated rather than masked the product. * The chef’s pâté en croûte was outstanding: precise seasoning, great texture, and excellent balance. A deceptively simple dish that requires real technical control, and this one delivered. * The pumpkin gnocchi with puntarelle, pistachio, and mushrooms were very good. The pistachio pesto stood out in particular—rich, accurate, and very well judged. * The dessert, fried banana ice cream with peanut and tempura, was indulgent and well constructed, with crisp textures, creamy elements, and a clear balance of sweetness and contrast throughout. Overall, a well-executed dinner focused on clarity, product quality, and balance, enhanced by the counter seating experience that brings you close to the kitchen. A place where the overall experience is as important as what’s on the plate.

I have no memory of it anymore, only the bouncer's beard.

The bar was great but having to pay 50c to go toilet when youve spent loads at the bar already and dont have change is not good!

Cool pub with potential. A great place to grab a few beers. We were there during the week, and it was relatively quiet. But it could be really something when it's busier. Unfortunately, the prices are quite high, typical for Amsterdam. And no, we didn't have to pay for the toilet. So, go for it and pay the owner a visit. Really cool pub. 👍

A bar where you have to dig deep into your pockets for a drink, and even deeper if you want to use the toilet. You have to pay for every single trip to the restroom – as a guest and paying customer of this bar! It's certainly a bar with great potential, but the restrooms definitely need renovating. If you're over 1.65 meters tall, you have to duck (and pay for it, of course).

I had such a great time at this bar! The atmosphere is amazing, the drinks are delicious, and the whole place has a really fun vibe. But the real highlight is Angie. She makes incredible cocktails, she’s super sweet, and she’s honestly one of the most beautiful and kind bartenders I’ve ever met. On top of that, she dances so well and brings such great energy to the place. If you come here, you have to try one of Angie’s cocktails. She makes the experience even more special!

Absolutely disgusting. I’d bought and drunk 16 bottles, which obviously made me need to use the toilet. I was physically blocked, and pushed away, because I didn’t have 50 cents in coins. Offered to pay by phone, but was told to go away. If I’ve spent €50 in a bar, I expect to be able to go to the toilet. Edit: I spent €80, and wasn’t allowed to use the bathroom. Vile.

Alina is the most friendly beautiful barmaid I have ever had the pleasure of being served by. Such a friendly welcoming person! The pub also has the best atmosphere and so welcoming, will always be coming back here

I was very pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the ribs were incredibly flavorful and tender, and the pasta was just as impressive. Everything we tried exceeded expectations. Thomas was wonderful and made the experience even better. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone — we’ll definitely be back!

Great atmosphere, with early 2000's music and amazing staff! Alina and her colleagues were so hospitable and friendly it will be difficult to forget the experience. If you're looking for nostalgic vibes where super out-going people work, this is the place to be.

The atmosphere is great, we just popped in as we were walking through the door :) It's fun. Beer is €8.50 for a large glass, but I think it's expensive. You'll enjoy it.

I came to Amestrdam wanted to fines one place to feel it home, I entered the place felt happniess because of the way Angie, ,Mealine, Alina felt its my place , served me , the atmosphere is great and since then I am here every day and all if workers have the same cultural. I wish apper manegments knowing what theses workers take care about the business and feel it like their own.

Popped in this week for a cheeky pint. Bit quiet seeing as it was early on Wednesday. The barmaid was awesome but i didn't get her nane. Think she was eastern european but she knows how to pull a pint of Guinness 😁 will be back again. Thank You 😁✌️🤟👍

Even though my wife and I had consumed several drinks, we were denied access to the restroom. The man working the restroom downstairs was extremely rude! We refused to pay the extra 50 cents for the use, so we left. In most other bars, the restroom is free for guests. We won't be coming back!

The bar has a really good atmosphere, you feel comfortable even if you're not French haha. In short, the service is great. Afterwards you have to remember to take coins for the toilets especially if you drink well.

Best place in Amsterdam to get tipsy and have some dance, that i know. Alchocol bundles for a great price... recommend definetly

If you want a chill place to smoke and drink, this is the place to go, the herbal mixture they provide to smoke is really tasty and does not ache in the throat. Prices are okay, Staff is chill, the bathrooms aren't the most sanitary but what do you expect in a popular bar.

Miserable barmaid I had to have a pint as was happy hour and no atmosphere at all maybe wrong time of day.

Really nice place with a great atmosphere! Definitely a spot to enjoy while in Amsterdam. The staff is amazing—super friendly and always creating a good vibe. Even the security guards are friendly, except for one who clearly has no idea what respect is! This particular security guard threatened me inside the pub, which was absolutely unacceptable. A piece of advice for the management: consider finding another security guard, as someone like him is definitely not good for your business. I’ll leave pictures of this person below for reference.
