We had a BBQ. The food was good but was really badly replenished. Salad and fries were always gone.

If you advertise unlimited spare ribs, you shouldn't say yes but that was last week, and then not remove the text....it's just a false lure in the hope that you will stay....

The Panta Rhei in Vlissingen impresses with a great location right on the water. From the outdoor terrace or the large indoor windows you can enjoy a wonderful view of the North Sea: perfect for a relaxed visit with a maritime flair. The ambience is stylish and cozy, so you immediately feel at home. The attentive service is particularly pleasant: the staff is friendly and quickly asks whether you would like any more drinks or food. The menu is clearly laid out and offers a good selection of dishes. In terms of price, the restaurant is in the upscale range, but you also get sufficiently large portions that are of impressive quality. Enjoying this place a lot. Relaxed, cozy atmosphere, good coffee, attentive service. Tonight tried spare ribs and a desert to my delight. Definitely coming back.

They simply ignored us and didn't come to us for 30 minutes.

No restoration service. The waitress saw us four times and didn't even bring the menu within 20 minutes, even though there were only 15 people sitting on the terrace. Never again, not recommended. Location nice though. You can bring something to drink with you :)

Opening hours are always from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The kitchen closes at 8 p.m. Drinks are available until 10 p.m. However, it might close at 9 p.m. if it's not busy!

Stunningly beautiful location, right on the beach. Excellent food. Reservations are recommended, but even without them, there's often a spot available. When it's busy, you might have to wait a bit for the staff, but when they do have time, they're genuinely helpful and attentive. Highly recommended!

Disappointed by the lack of heart of the restaurant manager when a customer loses his face in his restaurant, he doesn't even buy him a drink; it's really only money that he counts. Managed to order a double Espresso with milk to warm my hands, a roasted pepper soup served with bread and a pot of cheese which unfortunately has an aftertaste of vinegar (the soup) at the same time half a hot Camembert with aromatic plants as well as burnt or grilled paint. A cold draft probably due to the table near the door. In short, no commercial gesture, relatively expensive addition for the quality. Do not recommend.

It was one of the best dinner in the Netherlands in one year! Extra delicious! The food is really good cooked and served! And the prices are usual. I wasn't expecting anything special in the restaurant in the beach. But in the evening it looked so cozy - we couldn't resist. Dog's friendly! My kids were also very satisfied!

Simply spectacular!! The food was delicious, great variety of beers, a very pleasant atmosphere. And finally, the waitress attended to us in Spanish. He explained the menu to us patiently and with a smile. We will return!!!

We would like to give it 2.5. Our last evening here and we wanted to have a nice meal, but were unfortunately disappointed. We cannot understand the super positive reviews. About the location: quite nice, probably the most beautiful on the beach in Vlissingen. Unfortunately the outside side of the beach/sea was closed towards sunset. Service: normal nice/good Food: looked good, but the portions are really a joke for the price. The menu says that fries are served with every main course. The two of us were given a bowl to share. The same amount was available for three at the next table. The taste was okay, the way it was prepared was impressive, but it wasn't anything special. Selection: the map is really very very small. There were hardly any main courses to choose from. Unfortunately, while we were still sitting there, we both got stomachaches; we both probably didn't tolerate something well. Definitely nice for a drink in the evening. But we can't recommend a visit (especially to eat).

Lots of choice, tasty food and a diaper board to change a baby on. Even the fries are tasty even though we are in the Netherlands.

Super tasty We had a great evening at Boven Zee. Nice service, nice ambience with a sea view, fireplace, and delicious food. Even the children's menu was very special, not just fish fingers, but homemade breaded fish, which was almost tastier than my steak 😁

Good food but the selection could be larger. In South Holland there seems to be a predominantly convenience menu. Greetings from the kitchen with olive oil were very good and so was the plaice. The lack of selection of main courses could certainly be expanded with a MENU offer or daily menu. Nice and helpful service. Contrary to what appears online, the restaurant is open until 10 p.m. in the summer.

Had a delicious meal with the family yesterday. Delicious carpaccio as an appetizer, the children had fresh fish and chips. Followed by a freshly prepared salad and a delicious Ribeye. All washed down with a super nice bottle of rosé, and Fristi and coke for the kids. Definitely worth repeating, partly because of the attentive service.

Delicious food, highly recommended. Small menu with mainly fish. But the steak was delicious too. Service was very nice and thought of everything, nothing was a problem. Only the interior did not match the appearance of the card and the quality. Good addition to the boulevard. Big difference with the restaurant on the ground floor.

Very unfriendly staff. Arrived and were bluntly informed that the dog was not allowed on the terrace, while this was not indicated anywhere. The matter was dismissed without any explanation. Not worth repeating, even without a dog!

Last weekend we had dinner at Boven Zee and it was a great experience with delicious food from the sea. We sat on the terrace by the window with a beautiful view. Downstairs there was a small party on the beach with a DJ. This gave a kind of Saint-Tropez meets Ibiza feeling. It was a beautiful evening with excellent service. All in all highly recommended and for anyone who enjoys good food and drinks in a unique location!!

About last night.. What a beautiful place to eat a beautiful Fruits de Mer with a delicious Sauvignon blanc! Everything was perfect, service, food, wine and view. Team Boven Zee, see you soon.

Very great food and drinks, prices quite expensive

Delicious food, nice and quick service... Quite a letdown was to be "advised" to try another wine after a first choice for the house wine (also ordered @ 4 Eur per glass). They were not secretly told that this wine would cost no less than SEVEN EURO PER GLASS :-( After a pleasant lunch I left with the feeling of having been properly "copulated". Still a shame!

A week ago we had a very nice evening at the Boven Zee restaurant. Because of the nice weather, they were thoughtful enough to keep a table available for us both inside and outside. If it got too cold, we could always move inside. The oysters with a glass of bubbly were a fantastic start. The starter, the Kingfish sashimi, was an absolute winner! The main course with scallops was truly delicious. From experience from a previous visit we know that the meat dishes are also very tasty. All the staff took excellent care of us all evening, we lacked nothing. In short, do you want to enjoy a delicious culinary evening in one of the most beautiful places in Vlissingen with a beautiful view? Then Boven Zee is an absolute must!

We reserved a table inside on Saturday, June 1, but because of the nice weather we were allowed to sit outside (our reserved table remained ours, in case the weather turned). Nice service, with attention and understanding (if you would like to wait a little longer for the main course), delicious bubbles, white wine, oysters and lobster. It was fantastic, an asset to Vlissingen! We, my love and I, will definitely come again!

Had a delicious meal with my mother, a real fish lover. We got a fruits de mer so richly filled with all the goodies from the sea that we could barely see each other :). Highly recommended and an asset to Vlissingen.

Good food can take quite a long time. Ordered at a quarter to seven, after asking twice the starter arrived at a quarter to eight. When we still didn't have a main course at nine o'clock and were completely ignored by the employees, we went to pay. It's a shame, such a beautiful place but so little genuine attention for the guest.

View is great BUT - tables are covered in chalk that stains clothes - service seems okay but not that active, girls were standing bored at the bar - beer was old from the tap, tasted like medicine, we have mentioned the issue and they didn't even try to say anything about it Not coming back
