Food was good! Asked for customization on an order and it was possible, staff was friendly and place was busy but service was decently fast. It's a nice place on a busy road, inside is nice with lit candles and friendly staff.

We went there because we'd heard good things about it. Personally, I find the wine list too expensive, which is, of course, a matter of personal preference. The food is creative and enjoyable, but it didn't meet my expectations. Unfortunately, the service wasn't great either, and as a result, we had a mediocre and expensive evening at Bowie's.

If you're craving steak, this place is one of the best options. We shared a kilo between three people, and along with the sides (potatoes, eggplant, and salad), it's a delicious dinner, beautifully presented and obviously made with high-quality ingredients. The drinks and dessert menu is very well put together, and it's definitely perfect for those who want a cocktail 🍸. The hours are also quite convenient; they don't close as early as some other restaurants do for dinner. The service was great, everyone was very friendly, and the place is very pretty 👌 We will definitely return, and I recommend it for both a casual or business trip.

I've been here so many times, and it remains my favorite place. The food and wine are always top-notch, the place is beautiful, and the staff are always friendly and helpful (and perhaps it's strange to say, but not unimportantly, the restrooms are truly fantastic).

We had the Bowie experience for the first time, and it was worth stopping by. We ordered both the lamb and the steak. The highlight was definitely the lamb, as this was so tender and flavour rich with every bite and every contact with your taste buds. The steak was one hell of a steak. Definitely one that can be shared as this is meat overload. This was also good but that taste became a bit overwhelming after too many bites. I missed a complementing sauce that tied it all together, unfortunately the sauce options are limited and without that, the meat tastes lonely. Overall a great time and great place, but not top of my list as a recommend. If you’re already interested in going, I’d say go for it! The staff here are super nice and helpful, that makes the experience also worthwhile here. Thanks team.

Had a lovely breakfast. I ordered the scrambled eggs with the bacon. I can really recommend it. Also if the sun is out I suggest you to sit outside.

We ate here for the first time on Friday 27 June. Everything is right .... The nice relaxed atmosphere, attentive and friendly lady in the service and of course the delicious food. No unnecessary exaggerated frills but just very tasty and good! I will definitely come back here.

Like Bowie, it is a cozy place in the neighborhood, amazing wine options, great food options and French fries! Only the reservation system is a disadvantage.. of course I mean that you need to pay in advance. If I can post a review, I also understand a reservation system..

Food was tasty but service was not good. The maneer was unfriendly, we had asked to move more to the shade where his answer was no with a bad manner.

We have visited Bowie around 9pm and it was definetely above our expectations! We only had drinks and five different snacks but the overall exprience was wonderful. %100 Recommended!

It is called Café Bowie but it is certainly not a cafe, more of a luxury restaurant. So it is not cheap, but we really enjoyed a delicious meal in a relaxed atmosphere. The dishes are very well prepared and surprising in terms of choice of ingredients. For a not too extensive dinner for 2 people with a few glasses of wine you easily spend 100+ euros, but it is more than worth it.

Ambiance was very good and inside the restaurant is very spacious and nicely decorated. Food was also good, large varieties and choices. I ordered the pasta with lamb and some pieces of lamb was too fatty and the taste was a bit strong for my taste. But I definitely recommend this place.

Yesterday we went to brunch at Bowie to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We come here often and think it is a beautiful place with great food and good wines. Unfortunately, the service was very disappointing this time. We know that it is not possible to make a reservation on the terrace, but on a Monday morning at 10:15 on your wedding day you still hope for some consideration. Fortunately, a table was finally ready for us after 2 difficult phone calls. Upon arrival, no congratulations from the staff, even other guests on the terrace did this. When we wanted to order champagne, it turned out that only one bottle was cold and we had to order two different bottles. On a day that is so special to us, we had hoped for just that little bit of extra attention or empathy. Unfortunately, as a bridal couple we did not feel seen or special at all. That makes us genuinely disappointed with the service. We like coming here, but this felt like a missed opportunity. - To be honest, we find it quite remarkable that you define "approaching by phone" as calling once at 5:10 PM, a time when we are still working. Moreover, no voicemail was left. If this counts as making an effort for you, then we must unfortunately conclude that our standards are not in line. We also experienced little to no initiative from you during the application. Everything had to come from our side; there was no thinking along, no thinking ahead. That is disappointing. What stings most is that we have still not received a single apology, especially for not congratulating the bridal couple. A missed opportunity at an important moment. The extensive range of wines sounds nice, but now it mainly feels like a way to justify the situation. At the time itself, we opted for a champagne, but there were not 2 bottles available. Instead of wanting to refute this now, it would have seemed more appropriate if you had asked questions about this in advance and suggested alternatives. That would be a sign of true hospitality and involvement for us. Unfortunately, we missed that with Bowie. It is clear to us that we prefer to work with people who do have self-reflection.

Yesterday we had another party at Bowie. For me the location in the Netherlands with super atmosphere, the Bowie vibe, unparalleled service and super tasty food! The Voncole sauce is to-die-for and the Steak frites are a winner. I get so happy every time! And as far as I'm concerned, Bowie also has the best hostess in the Netherlands: Robin Ellen Janssen, we thank you again for a great afternoon. What a professional.

It is really lovely, relaxed atmosphere. You can sit inside or outside on the terrace. The food is mouthwatering. And whether you come for a hot cup of coffee or an extensive dinner with matching wines, it is all possible at Bowie. I like to come there!

Good atmosphere. Beautiful bar. Have had drinks and eaten a few times now. Drinking fine wine on a pleasant terrace. Very good and friendly service. Just had excellent asparagus, delicious fries and delicious bitterballen. But… the vongole is more than worth the detour. Fortunately not necessary, because we live around the corner.

We recently had a delicious meal at Restaurant Bowie in The Hague. From the moment we entered, the atmosphere immediately felt pleasant: warm, stylish and yet relaxed. The service was very friendly and attentive without being pushy. Everything went smoothly and we felt really welcome. The food was fantastic. Each dish was carefully prepared, beautifully presented and full of flavour. You notice that a lot of attention is paid to quality and details. In short: we had a great evening! Definitely recommended if you are looking for a nice place to eat in The Hague. We will definitely come back again.

What a fantastic evening! Everything was excellently taken care of from start to finish. The place is beautifully decorated: warm, attractive, with a wonderful restaurant atmosphere. The music was at exactly the right volume and lighting and the acoustics were also just right. The food was really great. The starters may have been a bit on the high side in terms of taste, but they were still very tasty. The absolute highlight of the evening was the T-bone steak. What a unit! Well prepared and very tasty! As far as I'm concerned, it should never disappear from the map. The service was also top notch this evening! Despite the crowds, the gentleman (blond hair and friendly smile) really took the time for us. His wine advice was not only expert, but also honest and sincerely involved. I thought it was a complete night out. Yes, you pay a bit for a night out these days. But eating out here is more than worth it. The owners have really created a perfect concept. You see the details in everything. And the employees also know how to convey the concept to the guest. Thanks a lot! Dylan.

A nice asset to the neighborhood. Also open for breakfast. Dozens of candles burn inside, even during the day. This makes the indoor air noticeably dirty. Rechargeable electric candles could be used. At breakfast the croissant was not a Parisian delicacy but more of a crescent-shaped white roll. Fresh orange juice was tasty. Coffee was okay.

My husband and I came here for an early lunch and everything was absolutely delightful. It reminds me of a lot of the delicious food that we were lucky enough to eat in Paris- High quality and full of flavor! The waiters were also ridiculously friendly, they seemed genuinely happy to be enjoying the weather with patrons even though they're working. I was surprised that the outdoor seating area was so peaceful and quiet even though it was a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Oh, by the way... The grapefruit mimosa? Best I've ever had. Definitely one of my new favorite spots in Den Haag!

Great food and a nice location. Make sure to reserve well in advance. A must for the gourmet. The general price is high, but you get what you pay for. Nice wine list, but you have to know it. Advice is kindly given. Not recommended for the common man. A little too many "juppies".

Been to Bowie quite a few times by now and have tried it for casual drinks or cocktails, brunch, or dinner. The dinner menu is quite extensive and with a contemporary twist on Mediterranean/French classics. The wine list has also great and numerous options. Overall highly recommend!

Nice place with good wines. The atmosphere is pleasant and the location is beautiful. We have been here for dinner three times now, but unfortunately it has been disappointing each time. The bites are delicious, but the main courses lack flavor. Last time we ordered the crab, but the meat had little flavor and the sauce used with some of the crab was bitter and not tasty. Afterwards we were still hungry and ordered the deer tartare, but unfortunately it was way too salty. The dessert, on the other hand, was very good. All in all, I would go back for the wine and the bites, but not for dinner anymore.

Everything great. Entry-level wine is quite well priced (a bottle from €30 wouldn't hurt). End times are really a hard end time. Understandable, but it would be nice if you could quietly finish your glass at the bar. Now the receipt was placed on the table without asking, ending a perfect evening a bit abruptly. But we will definitely come back. Great asset to the neighborhood 👍

Tucked away from the main road is a wine bar with a great array of wines, mostly of French grape varieties. My friends and I went there for wine and „hapjes“. The bread was super soft and airy on the inside, with a lovely crust on the outside. The olives were a perfect accompaniment. The Primitivo was okay, a bit on the young side, but enjoyable. We visited in the afternoon and considered staying for dinner or enjoying some warmer tapas, but the vegetarian options seemed quite limited. This place is perfect for those who enjoy wine and would like to explore different types.

Ik schreef in April 2024 al een beoordeling over Bar Bowie en aangezien er hier nog geen vermelding was maakte ik een nieuw restaurant aan, althans dat dacht ik. Tripadvisor heeft mijn beoordeling aan "De Wereld" gekoppeld en daar is hij niet volledig leesbaar. Inderdaad is Bowie een aanwinst in dit deel van Den Haag. Na een lange intensieve verbouwing staat er iets moois. Er was niet echt plek om te eten, maar we kregen een plekje links aan de bar dat eigenlijk een rond tafeltje in het bar meubel is, dus daar kun je best gezellig eten. Goed idee ook om bij reservering voor een diner een bedrag per persoon te verlangen zodat het restaurant niet met een no show kan worden opgezadeld. Alleen weer onhandig als je de rekening split en vergeet het reserveringsbedrag bij de rekening op te tellen.... Volgens mij heb ik ook wat over de gerechten gezegd, maar kan dat nu niet duidelijk terugvinden. Ik geef dit oordeel dezelfde titel als het origineel. Mocht in de toekomst blijken dat het oudere review toegankelijk wordt, zal ik een en ander in elkaar schuiven. Ik zal zeker bij Bar Bowie terugkeren en heb het al diverse malen aanbevolen.

How happy I walked out of your restaurant. I really enjoyed what you made especially for me due to a loken allergy. It was refined and very tasteful. The service was extremely professional and, above all, very friendly. RECOMMENDED

Nice popular place but very noisy place. You can barely hear each other so something about the acoustics is not very good there. Food was fine but the service is very messy and chaotic. If you can sit outside it's much better.

It is exactly 420 km that we need to travel to Bar Bowie. But we have already been guests there twice this year, also to celebrate the 40th birthday of the love of my life: it feels like staying in a safe space with neighbors - with an impressive interior, good wine, excellent cuisine, one good selection of music and above all: a casual atmosphere with suitable lighting. Similar to the other two restaurants Walter Benedict and Café Franklin, the owners have created a DNA here that is unmistakably the basis of a good restaurant.

This is our favorite place to go when we have friends visiting or want to go out. The staff is super friendly, and it's always cozy inside. The food is amazing, and they're always changing up the menu. They also have a great selection of wines. It's such a lovely place to share precious moments with family and friends.

Busy, yet intimate and cozy! Service is really great, I can't say anything else. Think along with you and understand how it works. The food is super tasty, portions sometimes a bit too small for what you pay for it. I will definitely come here again!

Nice place but can improve. Some of the dishes were good, others quite disappointing like the cod cheeks - totally flavourless. The mussels were also so spicy that was hard to eat them.

The waitress with dark hair was terrible. She treated my white female friend warmly and interacted with her and ignored us "non whites". She also constantly tried to pass and wedge herself between me and another guest from another table. Yes, even during dinner! Get some new staff ASAP. She could have walked around, but she obviously couldn't be bothered. These kids nowadays have no manners and are unfit for the real world. The food was OK, nothing special. The cheese and cracker for €10,50 is the worst starter I've seen in my life. One slice of cream cheese and a broken tortilla like shell. Something out of a student restaurant. I think it was the most expensive starter they had and no restaurant should serve it. March 5 additions: -Upon entry the waitress was explaining something and while we were listening she asked us if we spoke Dutch, which is always an awkward question especially if you ARE Dutch. -The waitress only asked our white friend if everything is satisfactory. - A male waiter had a steak knife dangerously close to my face, which startled me.

Nice ambiance, very attentive service and good quality. The bistecca alla fiorentina was perfect, the oysters beforehand were also of good quality. Pleasant wines. We will definitely come here again!

Really nice restaurant with lovely ambiance and fantastic food! Overall, the price is okay, the staff is friendly, I can only recommend this vaguely French bistro with some classic but also more creative dishes. Will be back!

Went back to Bowie for the second time. New menu so it was very surprising again. Everything is well put together, the service runs as it should and everything tastes super refined. Huge asset for The Hague.

Very nice and sunny place. The only minus point is that they tried to scam us by putting more things on the bill than we ordered. This "expat treatment" is unfortunately a very common practice in the Hague, so we don't hold it against them.
