“Vanilla isn’t a flavor.” That is the reaction you get when you call because you are being served a vanilla milkshake without any vanilla flavor. So, according to the staff, if you order a vanilla milkshake here, you are getting “just soft serve ice cream; it has no flavor, but we call it vanilla.”

Ordered food, a burger and a milkshake. They forgot the milkshake, and after a call with a very arrogant lady, it was delivered. The food tasted fine, but I felt very nauseous and got a lot of stomach pain afterward. The service was terrible, and I got severe food poisoning. It is a miracle in itself that the restaurant still exists.

I used to go to this snack bar often in other locations, but my experience in Alphen aan den Rijn was unfortunately very bad.

Just visited Brandendag Alpenrijk. Upon arrival, we were fortunately assisted very kindly by a young employee. We wanted to order fries and only had a normal question about the vegan mayonnaise. The young man explained this politely and kindly. But then, a female colleague with glasses suddenly came forward from inside in a very unfriendly manner. In a nasty tone, she asked her colleague: “What is it? What is it?” As if an argument or discussion was taking place, while we were simply asking a question about a product as customers. I immediately indicated that there was nothing wrong and that we were only asking for information about the vegan mayonnaise. After that, the bottle was shown, but again in an unfriendly and awkward manner. Unfortunately, that immediately ruined the atmosphere. It is a real shame, because the first employee actually did his job well and was customer-friendly. My advice to some employees: learn to treat customers kindly and respectfully. People come here to be served pleasantly. Customer friendliness really makes the difference.

Food is ok , but the gir working there she's kind of aggressive , you feel like you are not welcome

The fries are delicious, but we didn't get much sauce with them. Especially for fries with truffle mayonnaise and Parmesan, you pay quite a bit. A real difference from Bram Ladage in the Markthal in Rotterdam. They really know how to do it.

Seating is limited, you have to go outside to take out your trash, and it's always freezing inside. I used to prefer the fries.

We've been enjoying Bram's for delicious fresh fries for years. We've been alternating between Alphen, Gouda, and Bleiswijk. We often don't have to specify anything, because the fries are usually golden brown. Sometimes we do it just to be sure, like yesterday. You've delivered them to us before, and they're always golden brown or lightly fried without us notifying us. This time we did mention it. It would have been nice if you'd given us a call, even if it wasn't possible. Then we would have discussed it properly, hopefully refunded your money, and we could have eaten something else. There's a comment section for a reason, right? Normally, there's nothing wrong with the service, just very good. This time, unfortunately, it was "we can only fry it for 3 minutes and 20 minutes." That's perfectly fine (but normally with you, Gouda or Bleiswijk has... (It's not that color). It looked and tasted as if it had been baked and reheated. Then it dries out a bit, and the flavor is different, much less so. And that's a shame, we think. We won't leave Bram, because it's usually so enjoyable, but we don't dare leave Alphen anymore. When I got home, it turned out the order was completely wrong: the wrong sauces, one frikadel missing, even though I paid for it. The fries were limp and mealy. No onions, even though I paid for them. No mustard with the croquette, which was also charged separately. I'd had a similar bad experience before, so in short, it was my last time.

Hi , regardless of the work shift, the employees behave in an exemplary manner. The food is very good if you prefer to eat at the location or home delivery. The prices are modest, as is the place of activity, I recommend this place.

I often come here with my friends. Always delicious food, great fresh fries, tasty veggie snacks. The staff is friendly and helpful, and it's often the same people, which is nice. There is an option to dine inside, but you can't sit at a table. There are some benches outside where you can eat.

I really love Bram, it's our favorite place for a date. The fries are really the very best.

Literally got a whole bag full of little bits/leftovers. There really weren't any normal fries with it. Most were even too hard to pierce with a fork. First you hope that things will get better under the first layer. Unfortunately half ended up in the waste bin. It was too busy on King's Day to stand in line again and file a complaint. But you must have seen something like this when filling the bag. Went again a few years later. Ordered a small fries (more than 3 euros), but unfortunately there were only about 10 pieces in it. Another disappointment.

Made a mistake with the order then blamed me and did nothing. I get a call back 3 days later to be ridiculed even more by the so-called owner while he is laughing and giggling on the phone. Very bad service! Really no catering atmosphere, never again!

This reaction was both shocking and disappointing, especially considering the simple nature of the misunderstanding. Moreover, neither she nor her colleague offered an apology or attempted to rectify the situation respectfully. I believe in constructive feedback and hope this incident will be addressed, not just for me, but to improve the experience for future customers. Good customer service is as crucial as the quality of the food, and I hope steps will be taken to ensure all staff members represent the establishment with patience and professionalism.

If we feel like having a snack, we go to Bram Ladage. Friendly and fast service and the food is tasty! Tip: the veg burger and the bitterballen are great!

First of all, we had a delicious meal. Really top quality! We later found out that one of the milkshakes we ordered was missing. It was delivered in no time (5-10 minutes), including bitterballen as a make-up. Now that's service!

Door corona zaten we verderop op een bankje aan het water. We kregen alles mee in een tasje en het was heerlijk. Goede kwaliteit, goede prijs en vriendelijk personeel. Aanrader!

Today at the annual market I noticed a feeling of hunger, so I wanted to satisfy it with a delicious double fries for which I paid 3.95. The fries looked tasty, but nothing could be further from the truth. The fries tasted rotten and when the potatoes were pressed into fries, the raw fries and drippings fell into the plexiglass container and were shown to me, it became clear to me that they were indeed old mealy potatoes. It's a shame because before I just ate a nice fries, but this time I think the trash bin enjoyed it more. I have never thrown away fries in my life, so this is a first for Bram. Shame.....
