Brasserie Bij Ons Zevenaar in Zevenaar

Last week I went to Bij Ons in Zevenaar for my birthday. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is friendly. The concept is also immediately clear. However, a few criticisms are that we had to use paper orders instead of ordering via the tablet. This was because someone in our party has a gluten allergy. Oh well, using paper orders, that's no problem. The staff simply forgot about us because of the paper orders. Waving repeatedly as they passed by didn't help, which was a real shame because it didn't come across as very friendly. We were there at 7:00 PM and didn't finish the first round of food until 8:15 PM, and we had to wait much longer for the second round than the people around us with tablets. After that, things went more smoothly, which was nice, and the staff, as I said, were very friendly. I just don't think I'll be back; I'll drive to Arnhem for 't Zusje. I think you could easily add allergies to the tablet. That, or have everyone use paper orders.

We had a wonderful meal and it was a very successful evening, definitely worth repeating. It went very well, no complaints. Fantastic!

The food wasn't great. The soup was more cold than lukewarm. Even if you did get a sauce with it, it was very sparse. No mustard with the croquettes. The taste of the food also left much to be desired. I wouldn't go back. The staff was very friendly and the service was good.

Really, really good! Lots of choices, and the menu changes with the seasons. Two dishes per round, so everything comes out for everyone at the same time, and quickly too! Very impressive. We'll definitely be back.

We were two families, a total of 12 people. The service was very quick, super friendly, and efficient. Ordering via the tablet, for six people per tablet, went perfectly. No long waits and the correct delivery to the table every time. We had a fantastic evening.

You can order via a tablet, and your food and drinks are always served quite quickly. The menu is extensive, so there's something for everyone. We've been here about 10 times in the past two years, and we always love it. Last time, we were here with eight friends, and everything was perfectly organized then as well. Free parking is available right outside. In short, highly recommended!

Haven't been here for over a year. My savings card with a total value of €75.00 is no longer valid after the system change. "Bij Ons" is out of favor for me. I haven't been there yet, contrary to Google's assumption.

The food here is truly delicious. There's so much to choose from, from burgers to gyosas. You order with a tablet, and it's brought to your table piping hot within minutes. Highly recommended!

Too bad you are not allowed to smoke outside on the terrace

We did not know it is all-you-can-eat before we arrived (my fault - did not check). I usually avoid all-you-can-eat because I don’t each much at all and always choose quality over quantity. And with about 70 dishes to choose from, from all different cuisines, the food was - not surprisingly- creative but not special. Which is understandable for the price/concept. However, the service was really excellent and we made the best of it and enjoyed the evening. We appreciated the free water, generous wine pours, and the ‘extra’ cucumber salad - that was our favorite dish. If you are looking for all-you-can-eat tapas, I highly recommend Bij Ons.

Whenever I stay with my niece (I'm from Rotterdam) we always go to Bij Ons for dinner. The atmosphere is cozy and radiates warmth. The food is delicious, plenty of vegan options to choose from, and the ladies who serve the food (snacks) are very nice. My niece also told me that you have to book well in advance otherwise there's no room, which says it all! Greetings from Rotterdam!

We had a delicious meal here today. We were traveling in Germany and came across this on our way back. I've never eaten anywhere so delicious, it was wonderful. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely go back!

Large menu with a lot of choice, also good variation in meat/fish/vegetarian. On the expensive side for what it is, but fine for how long you can stay in it. Service is good, even among the part-time waiters. Very attentive and helpful. It's a shame that you sometimes have to work with your own phone, a tablet for ordering works better. We will definitely come back :)

Lots of choice of dishes, super tasty food and quickly on the table after ordering via a tablet. The only thing I didn't like were the desserts, but that's a matter of different tastes.

Bij Ons has undergone a nice metamorphosis, and I think it has a different chef. Ate here a few years ago and it was definitely a lot less. Had a tasty meal yesterday. Some dishes still require some attention (too much sauce, layout/preparation) and the crème brulee was cold. Service is super friendly, dishes arrive quickly and the atmosphere is cozy. All in all we had a nice evening and a delicious meal. Tip: I would certainly also check whether there are also gluten-free and lactose-free options available in the dishes (sandwiches, wraps, bao buns, gyoza, etc.) in the future, these were very limited.

Delicious food. This time with 9 colleagues, and even then the kitchen managed to provide everyone with their food at almost the same time. Per table of 5 we had 1 order tablet and then immediately press the order button, tip in advance from the employee. So it works fine, on a busy Friday evening. Everything was delicious again, well taken care of, excellent and friendly service. See you soon.!!

Food is very tasty. Only some dishes were very salty, especially the sauce. Which ruins the taste of the meat. Very unfortunate. Service very friendly. It's nice that there is no time limit. Been several times already.

Nice tent menu that changes regularly. The only downside I think is that the tables are a bit too close together so you have to listen to the neighbors' conversations.

We have a beautiful accommodation in Zevenaar. It takes some searching but it will certainly be rewarded. The snacks are tasty and there is plenty of choice, also for vegetarians and vegans. It is a fun outing for family or friends

Nice and short so that makes a difference

Had dinner here with 3 people last weekend. We enjoyed the dishes. Enough choice of all kinds of tasty dishes. The staff was enthusiastic and friendly. We were a bit hidden behind an artificial plant that was slightly too large, but that could have been a bit more atmospheric.

December 25, 2024 ate tapas with the family. Steak tip raw on the plate, complaint made 3 times, new ones but always raw, gave up hope and did not order any more steak, the snitzel was dry and sticky breadcrumbs, spare ribs more bone than meat and if there is meat on it, dry and not off the bone carpaccio, not pine nuts but sunflower seeds. They have renovated the interior but could spend more time on the dishes. We will never come here again!!!

25. December met 5 personen tapas gegeten. Bediening super goed maar het eten wordt steeds slechter biefstuk rauw op je bord, snitzel droog en niet warm, varkenshaasje taai, spareribs droog en niet van het bot te krijgen. Komen hier al vanaf de opening toen was het eten top en veel aandacht aan besteed. Nee komen hier nooit meer!!!

Unlike other tapas restaurants, the work here is very fast: it is on the table within 10 minutes of your order. Big compliment.

Unfortunately, the new menu is much less with lower quality of the tapas snacks and far too greasy. Too much sauce and poorly seasoned and everything floats in the mayonnaise and honey sauce. The salmon was inedible and the spare ribs were very poorly seasoned and disgusting Few vegetable snacks too. The steak skewer, carpachio and prawn skewer were good Lots of fast food tapas and little choice in special tapas. The food was bad and cold. The desserts have also deteriorated a lot, it's a shame. Too bad we will never eat here again, it is really not worth the money. A real shame because it used to be so good here!

Overall a cozy tent with friendly service. I think the taste of the different dishes varies greatly. There are plenty that are very tasty, but also quite a few that are not necessarily not tasty, but rather boring in taste. I also think that there is a lot of sauce on some dishes. I would prefer it if the dish and sauce were served separately so that you could choose the quantity yourself.

There is someone in the kitchen who has no knowledge of food preparation. There's a bored waitress at your table who doesn't appreciate the fact that there are guests. Half explanation. Order via a tablet. What can go wrong? Well, everything. Didn't order, but received. Ordered, never received and we had to wait fifteen minutes (and longer) between dishes. Was it tasty? Mwoah. Even in the New Age it is better to haggle. The crockery is broken, the cutlery is dull and the chef's hair is in your food. Well, we will skip this dining hut from now on.

Everything I ordered was very tasteful and well presented with good portioning so I could still enjoy other things off the menu. Vegan and Vegetarian options were also on the menu, though I do not know about Halal options. The ordering process was a bit chaotic at times, especially when you have 6 people at the same table, so the question often became "who ordered what?". Despite this, no mishaps occurred. All in all, I can highly recommend dining at this place.

Today I had dinner with my husband at the invitation of my brother and sister-in-law. Tapas were delicious, until we got to the desserts. I got a dessert that had a glass in it with a sharp point. I was very shocked because it was not a small piece. A young lady from the wait staff would pass it on. Another one came. lady and apologized. And instead received another dessert that was already included in the Tapas argument. No compensation or a credit voucher. It could have easily turned out differently. Hopefully the other desserts were also checked properly. Because this is the case. you don't serve your guests. Later we received a message via email that they apologized and that this should certainly not happen and that they had to immediately provide compensation. We received a gift voucher as compensation.

Good formula for Dutch tappas dishes for a fixed price. Nice service in a beautiful location just outside Zevenaar.

You can order 2 dishes per person per round and they serve the dishes at the same time, so not like in other tapa restaurants where one person already has food and the other does not, that is really great of them and all dishes are hot. There is a lot of choice and good quality, really delicious food here, I'm sure we will eat here more often, highly recommended. Tasty tapas, quite a lot of choice. Warm sandwich in advance. Negative point Crème brulée was not luke warm. The whipped cream was also fake. Friendly service. After sitting for a while I had to walk because the chair was not very comfortable. I also think that we were assigned a small table even though we were 2 people. Nevertheless, they receive a high pass mark because the food tasted good.

Ate here for the first and last time. Our food was cold, lukewarm or spoiled. Undercooked and tasteless. Last night was my 4th time eating at “Bij ons” in Zevenaar. The 3 times before this we had a delicious meal! Now last night a small disappointment, food was not as before. Some dishes cold, fries not well done (some were raw). Meat overcooked and therefore dry in taste. Pepper sauce sour in taste instead of creamy. Indicated at the operator; They started paying attention to fries, just like the meat, and the pepper sauce was sour because the peppercorns came out of the water, which could cause a salty/sour taste. Very sorry! Carrot cake very spicy in taste. We were supposed to get a new portion of fries, but we're still waiting for that... so to speak. When ordering we finally asked if the fries could be a little crispier this time, but when we got them some were so hard you could barely eat them. There were more points about the food that were not tasty, but some dishes were tasty. But this was enough reason for us not to come back here again... too bad...

Voorbeelden: mosselen en gamba's smaken goed maar drijven in het vet, kalfsentrecote is een leren lapje, kabeljauw en zalm zijn veel te gaar en daardoor droog. Als bijproduct biedt men alleen patat aan. Bij de meeste concurrenten ook rijst en noedels. Was dan alles slecht? Nee: de knoflooksteak was goed. Evenals de mais rib en de lentesalade. De garnalencocktail was fris. De opsommingen zijn niet compleet. Over het geheel genomen voldeed 40%. De presentatie van de gerechten is meestal goed, (vandaar ook geen foto's), maar het belooft veel meer dan het uiteindelijk is ..... zeer teleurstellend. Een goede formule, maar een zeer zwakke keuken. Verder is het interieur hard aan vervanging toe. Goedkoop fotobehang aan de muur, evenals veel afbeeldingen van gerechten gespannen op houten frames. Loshangende decoratiedelen. Goedkope verlichtingsarmaturen. Overal overduidelijk oude plastic kunstplanten in grote ruw in elkaar geschroefde plantenbakken die hier en daar nog enige privacy moeten geven ...... Kleine lelijke houten tafeltjes met bejaarde kuipstoelen. Alles zeer gedateerd en dicht op elkaar. Kortom: een spartaans interieur wat hard aan vervanging toe is. (Advies aan de eigenaar: ga eens een keer kijken bij de concurrent aan de andere kant van Zevenaar met dezelfde formule!) Tenslotte nog even over de bediening: in één woord super, chapeau ...... ! Snel en bijzonder vriendelijk. De jonge charmante serveersters lopen hard en blijven glimlachen. Conclusie: terugkijkend op een teleurstellende ervaring: "bij ons" zeker niet voor herhaling vatbaar. En om de eigenaar voor te zijn: er was te veel mis om om nieuwe en betere gerechten te vragen .......

The food was not fresh, the steak was tough (100 chews). Everything seemed to have been taken from a refrigerator. Chicken schnitzel was dry, sauces were/didn't seem like they were home made and came from a freezer. There is no tappas atmosphere at all, the music doesn't fit in at all and it seems as if we were at my mother-in-law's home in terms of design/interior. It doesn't feel like a restaurant where you pay more than 30 euros per person for the food. We certainly indicated that we were not completely satisfied with the food, but we did not need a 'new' one because it will not taste much different and is prepared in the same way. The desserts were very tasty and nice that the portions were small. The staff was friendly and there is nothing negative to say about that, they create the atmosphere! We wanted to explore the area and came across 'Bij Ons Zevenaar'. The location is great and apparently many people like it. The restaurant was completely full. We come from the city and are used to different qualities.

Dit restaurant is leuk voor een avondje uit. Ongedwongen sfeer. Grote parkeerplaats naast `t restaurant. Prettige ontvangst. Alle gerechtjes waren uitstekend klaar gemaakt, goed op smaak, lekker warm, en voor allemaal gelijk op tafel.

It is a eat as much as you can tappas type restaurant. Personally I prefer a la carte. The food was of a good enough quality considering they have to mass produce and have it constantly and quickly flowing out the kitchen.

Moderate experience at "Bij ons" in Zevenaar. Without exception, the hot food was not hot enough. It was on the table very quickly, maybe there is a connection there.... The food is not special, but that is perhaps not why you go to an all you can eat concept. Still 4 stars because of the super nice service. The waiter with glasses (perhaps the team leader) thought along and was very customer-friendly.

We had a delicious meal with 10 fellow photographers from the country and something for everyone! Great atmosphere and cozy restaurant. It was the third time for me at 'Bij Ons' And of course with so many people there is always a tapas dish that is less to the taste 'so be it' Positive in my opinion: the moment of ordering with the iPad until the moment that the dishes are served, what speed! The staff is very friendly and highly recommended to us! In fact, another booking has now been made with family on April 19th.
