Had a delicious meal in the restaurant and then had a fantastic party in the petit Canette. Super nice employees, well cared for, beautiful location. Everything was arranged tip top. On Joey's recommendation we had Roy Meijaard as DJ/singer. What a party that man can throw! Highly recommended for a drink or party here. The atmosphere of the room is so wonderful. We really think along and look at options to make a party fit your wishes. Really great!

We chose De Canette as the location for our primary school reunion, in which approximately 30 people attended. This turned out to be an excellent decision. Behind the restaurant there is a separate room, the 'Petite Canette', which can be reserved especially for groups. We took advantage of a very affordable package that included unlimited coffee, drinks, meals and snacks for six hours. The space is attractively decorated and has a bar, chairs and tables, as well as a screen and sound system. The wait staff was friendly, cooperative and attentive. All guests were very satisfied and look back on this day with great pleasure. The location certainly contributed to the success of the reunion and I can absolutely recommend De Canette for such events. Thanks again for this unforgettable day!

We had a babyshower party in this restaurant. The atmosphere was good, only we didn’t not receive several things that were on the menu. And for a price of €32,50 per person we would have expected at least the whole menu.

Tasty food in a friendly atmosphere. Only the portions are a bit meager (especially the fries).

Waited an hour before the main menu was served. Was offered a drink as compensation. That is appreciated. The steak and ribeye were served on a soup plate with all the vegetables on top! Looked very strange and was not easy to cut in such a deep plate. The food was not really warm. Shame. We are disappointed.

It was definitely worth repeating the first time!

Lunch was good. Despite a reservation, we sat at a kind of side table, knee height. There was still room, but we didn't want to sit close to the kitchen/bar. There were also free tables elsewhere, but they were “reserved”.

Celebrated my 50th birthday at Canette and the service was excellent and added to the good mood and outcome. The catering was very tasty, especially the wild mushroom croquettes. The guests were impressed by the organization and help from the staff. Definitely recommended to celebrate your party at Canette. Thanks again to the team behind the bar and in the kitchen!

We are Canadian visitors who have previously enjoyed dining at this restaurant on several trips to the Netherlands. On this particular Sunday, we arrived for brunch, were seated, and received menus, but were completely overlooked as multiple guests who arrived after us were served. After waiting half an hour, we decided to leave. Before doing so, we asked to speak with the manager on duty; however, a server inquired about the issue instead. When we explained the situation, he seemed indifferent, simply stating they were busy. Unfortunately, we left without any explanation as to why we were overlooked. Although we have given this establishment positive reviews in the past, given this experience, we will not be returning.

Fast good and very nice service. Delicious cocktails and delicious mini shrimp roll. Super fun Saturday afternoon. Packed with cheerful people. Good business. Dinner: great! Bisque de homard…. Great. Confit de canard is fantastically delicious. The crepe suzette with delicious Grand Marnier. Very nice service. Nice place and we will definitely come back. October 2024 Another delicious dinner (for two people: main course and coffee 65 euros). With the delicious Lalinda cocktail (alcohol-free) Highly recommended! And the service is super sweet, caring and pleasant. We'll be back.

We were served by a super enthusiastic girl, Lotte. She helped us with all our questions and gave us a very pleasant experience. The food was also excellent. We will definitely come back here!!

Beautiful place with perfect service.

The restaurant was almost empty but with 4 waiters it took a long time before we were helped. Even guests who arrived later were helped earlier. Food and atmosphere are also excellent.

We were able to have lunch outside, friendly service and the lunch was very tasty, highly recommended. The ingredients are fresh and crunchy.

I've given this place multiple chances because it has a great terrace, but the service is consistently slow. I often have to wait a long time for drinks and repeatedly ask for the menu to see the food options. It really discourages me from returning. Also, there aren't many vegetarian options available.

Rarely write a review but this was really bad. Mediocre food, had to wait a very long time (10 minutes before it was even clear whether there was apple pie, then 15 minutes until it was on the table. The person who served it warned that it was warm but unfortunately still frozen 🥶 Really bad

It is a very pleasant place here. The food is tasty and fresh. They work hard here and know what they are doing.

An evening with mixed feelings The visit to this restaurant had a promising start, but unfortunately it took an hour before we even got the menu. Despite repeated attempts to get the attention of the staff, our signals were not responded to, eventually forcing us to get up and ask for the menu ourselves. After a significant wait of two hours after entering, the food was finally served. During this time, any form of communication or explanation regarding the delay was lacking, leaving us in the dark. Only afterwards were we told that there was a staff shortage in the kitchen. The food itself tasted great, but the long waiting time without any form of intermediate service, such as a small snack or explanation, was difficult to digest. When giving feedback to the head waiter, I indicated that I understood the delay but not the lack of communication. Although he initially thanked for the feedback, his comment that "we'd get a cup of coffee next time" was unfortunately a bit inappropriate. It was an evening full of mixed feelings: unfortunately the quality of the food could not make up for the poor service and the long wait. Hopefully these points will be addressed in the future. It was very busy, all tables and the terrace were occupied, so very busy. But it can be expected that capacity and possibilities will be matched. I think it is an exception, it contradicts previous experiences. But this is a failure.

We had a wonderful drink with our work here. Everything was in tip top condition and the owners were very hospitable and cooperative. Highly recommended and will definitely come back!

What super nice service, very attentive too. We celebrated my father's birthday and during dessert the waiter came to sing for him, complete with fireworks! The food was very tasty, but my dessert, apple crumble, was really too tasty. It was very warm outside, but very pleasant inside with the air conditioning. It was a pleasant evening, thanks again!

The service and customer friendliness are good. However, not the food!!! The fish is very difficult to find in the fish and chips. A lot of greasy dough. The regular fries are not tasty, but the sweet potato fries are very tasty. Sorry not recommended and really too expensive. I thought this was such a waste of money!! To be sure, I have added a photo where the fish can be seen in the dough!

We came across this beautiful brasserie via the website of Podia Theater de Luifel. We have already parked the car at the theater (free, few places!) and walked towards our 'theatre menu' (2 courses = 29 euros!). Friendly and attentive service really made our evening a carefree party! Tasty dishes, good portions. All in all, thoroughly enjoyed it. We will definitely come back!!

Food was delicious. Unfortunately, the service leaves a lot to be desired. Waiting far too long and ordered products not arriving.

We went there for a light lunch. It was one of these few warm days in April, while the terrace was packed. Ewe had to deal with a former chef, now as a waiter. Clearly visible. We ordered 2 dishes. One arrived the other did not. As we were sick of waiting we wanted to disorder the 2 plate we were assured that it would arrive shortly. The fun was gone and eventually the 2 order did arrive. Short: a very bad terrace experience.

The food was tasty and the wine served was excellent. If I were the owner of "the Canette" I would want to be aware of the following; Had lunch with 3 people for more than €100... so can I have a moment...?! If you make a girl who is probably experiencing her first season in the catering industry responsible for all orders for the entire terrace and simply let the other boys pick up something from the tables every now and then and immediately forward you to "my colleague" for whatever order , then of course things go wrong. Try to shout for 4 × 5 minutes, hand in the air. Twice there was a confirmation, but someone walked in the other direction with the usual words: I send my colleague who takes the orders, and then repeat the same routine after 10 minutes...! Had to ask twice for a cloth because the table was sticky on all sides [very dirty]... ["sorry, forgot""] Ultimately left a large tip with the promise that she will visit the back part of the terrace more frequently next time!! As an owner you get one or two stars because not enough is spent on service. And the kitchen makes really tasty things...

Great location for lunch or dinner. A bit on the stuffy side inside, but outside there is a large terrace. Nice that the flower parade could be viewed on the Binnenweg.

Wij bestelden een broodje carpaccio en een broodje steak tartare. De carpaccio was voortreffelijk maar de variatie op de steak tartare overtrof alle verwachting. Het rundvlees heeft een goede smaak en een prettige structuur. Al kan ik het mij nauwelijks voorstellen, het vlees lijkt met een mes gehakt i.p.v. gemalen en het ei was gepocheerd zoals het hoort. De mayonaise lijkt home made en de koffie is zoals we die krijgen in Italië. De Canette is bij ons favoriet.

Few restaurants know how to help you as well as La Canette. I will definitely come back here. The food is tasty and the service as you would want. Went for the 2nd time a few months later and once again had a very good meal with friendly service.

Service messy, come to answer and then things go wrong when you get your lunch (not what you ordered) then you think you get the right thing but on the wrong bread. The bill will then also include anything you did not order! We thought it was a shame because it all looks so nice.

First had a drink in the sun and then had a delicious meal! We chose the sirloin steak and the gamas!

It is wonderful to relax at the Canette, the atmosphere is great. And especially Rene loves his work and always makes me feel welcome. So a big 10!

The food was quite tasty. The menu is fairly limited in addition to the surprise menu. The menu is difficult to read for older people. I was with a group of 5 people and it was impossible to sit at such a small round table. The staff is not really friendly or hospitable. The appearance of the restaurant is nicely decorated and spacious. The toilet could also be cleaner. My final rating is a 4 (out of a maximum of 10)

Last Saturday 03/02 I had a great party in Petit Canette. The atmosphere was great, Joe and his team had arranged everything down to the last detail. Don't make a fuss about a glass of wine that was outside the standard package and partly responsible for a great evening. Team Canette, thanks great guys.
