Brasserie De Fontein in Wijk 12 Westkapelle

A beautiful location where time seems to stand still. We've been here for several years now. The service is correct, but the young man makes quite a racket with iron chairs, which he places rather roughly after guests leave. The food (tagliatelle pesto) was only so-so, the taste was okay, but there weren't many extras, so it was very basic. For over €20.00, they could use a few more garnishes. Otherwise, a very nice place.

What a cozy restaurant with super friendly service. And we enjoyed a delicious warm apple crumble pastry with whipped cream.

We had a great time with staff who enjoy their work and delicious food.

The food was truly delicious and freshly prepared. We were very impressed with the taste! Unfortunately, the staff overall was rather unmotivated and unattentive. The only bright spot was a particularly friendly employee who made an effort to make our stay pleasant. It's a shame that the other employees showed so little commitment.

Delicious food, friendly service for a good price

The food was delicious. Typical kibberling, fries, and squid rings. I have to say the squid rings were the best of the entire vacation. The restaurant is somewhat split between a snack bar and a restaurant. We received our food in a plastic box (which was perfectly fine) since we only wanted a snack.

We were here last night and had a very good meal. The staff were very nice and friendly. I highly recommend the Spar ribs.

The food was delicious; I ordered the kibbeling (fried fish), which I thoroughly enjoyed. The service, on the other hand, is less than stellar. There's one genuinely enthusiastic man; the rest come across as very rude and unfriendly. Furthermore, they don't seem to be keeping an eye on things, and it takes them some effort to figure out when something needs to be done.

It was the last night of the annual fair in Westkapelle. We were told this when we made our reservations. The restaurant was absolutely packed. Despite this, the staff was friendly and still had time and attention for everyone who dined there. We chose the chef's menu, which was delicious. You're completely covered in this food all evening. The quality is excellent and just the right amount. You're quite full, but thankfully, you don't burst. Highly recommended if you want to eat well and where you, as a guest (even if you're on holiday), still receive personal attention. Almost every restaurant could learn from this.

From poke bowl to pizza to a tasty dish. Wide range. Despite the crowds, we were served quite quickly.

One star less overall because I had the feeling that the exuberant friendliness of the service staff was "feigned." It somehow seemed that way to me. I hope I was wrong. Otherwise, the food was worth the money.

During our visit it was Father's Day 2025, and a great day in terms of weather, that certainly makes a difference. Had a nice drink and ordered two appetizer platters of meat and fish.

We stopped here spontaneously, looking for lunch after the long drive. The kibbeling menu was delicious, and the portion was large. It included cucumber salad, plenty of fries, and more than enough fish. I highly recommend it.

Simply great location with delicious lunch

We ended up here spontaneously and decided on Kip Saté and Kip Tortilla. After several attempts with Dutch food, it was really tasty and delicious for the first time. The prices are absolutely ok for the location and the quality. The service is particularly commendable. The gentleman spoke several languages, was very attentive, cheerful and friendly. Really recommended all around

We visit Westkapelle several times a year, and a visit to Fontain is a must! The service, the ambiance, and the food are reasons to keep coming back! Whether in the main restaurant or the snack bar next door: the quality speaks for itself. That's why the place is very busy around the clock.

The typical local cuisine combines international cuisine, the dishes are very well prepared and taste an experience. The price is appropriate given the good quality of the food on offer. Highly recommended. There is continuity in this gastronomy here. We always like to come back. Thanks to the warm welcome of the service and the great performance of the kitchen team.

I stopped there to eat a good tomato soup during a walk in January (zero degrees), the waiter very kindly filled my Thermos with hot water and offered me the tea bag!! ! I was very touched!!!!

The three of us shared the chef's menu. Super food, great service, cozy atmosphere. We had a great time. Cheerful Amber provided perfect service, very attentive and informal at the same time. And also a big thank you to the great gentleman who taught our daughter how a Dutch sliding door works. When we are in the area again, we will definitely come back.

Contemporary catering facility with spacious terrace in the center of Westkapelle. Very friendly and smooth service. We drank excellent cappuccino from Cook&Boon here. Perfectly flavoured, and definitely not an automatic cappuccino. The milk foam is prepared separately. The result sounds like a bell. The apple crumble with whipped cream is a must. A small cake that comes straight from the oven; delicious! As far as we are concerned, many catering operators can come here and taste the quality cappuccino. The prices people are asking left and right justify an investment in better cappuccino...
