From across the water, we saw the cozy terrace of De Eendracht. We reserved a table online for two hours later (everything was already fully booked). We had a delicious meal, and the service was excellent. The next day, we were in the area again and wanted to have lunch there, but unfortunately, that turned out to be impossible without a reservation (drinks were allowed, but not food, so as not to overwhelm the kitchen). So, highly recommended, but be sure to book in advance.

We had a wonderful Sunday evening meal at this beautiful spot overlooking the water around Zwolle's fortifications. We chose a three-course menu. The friendly and attentive staff recommended the salmon as a starter and the beef brisket as a main course. The salmon, cooked in a local smokehouse on a pancake with beetroot and cream cheese, looked fantastic and tasted wonderful. The beef brisket with roasted pointed cabbage followed. Beef brisket as it should be. The desserts rounded everything off beautifully. We will definitely be back to Maurice and his team.

Last week, we first had coffee with a Zwolle local in the morning. We liked the atmosphere so much that we were curious about the dinner options. After inquiring with the staff, we made a reservation for the early evening. We had a lovely spot by the water with a stunning view. With a delicious glass of wine and a main course, we enjoyed everything. In short, highly recommended!

I went back there today and it looks much cleaner. That's a welcoming entrance! And the owner is a friendly host and serves excellent cappuccino. The terrace offers a beautiful view of the Thorbeckegracht and the beginning of the Zwolle A canal. I appreciate that he took immediate action after a message! More hospitality businesses should do that, just a little more attention to the place where you ultimately earn your money. They've added a few stars 😉 It's all perfectly organized, except you get there via the #rodetorenbrug, and then it looks like this, see the video. If I were the owner, I would have this route made #litter-free every day, regardless of who's responsible. You're proud of your city, and litter doesn't belong there.

When we made our reservation, we requested a spot by the water, and we were given a truly beautiful spot. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, and that's certainly thanks to the staff. Everyone we spoke to clearly enjoyed their work—people with a true passion for hospitality. They communicate well and make you feel welcome. We were truly out for the evening, and we were given plenty of time to do so. No rush, just plenty of time between courses. The wine selections with each dish were also excellent and well-coordinated. Everything was just perfect. A place we'll definitely return to. Highly recommended!

I was here for lunch, and it was delicious. I recommend the Caesar salad and the sweet potato fries! Service was a bit slow, but friendly.

Very good location, great atmosphere, and the children's special requests were very well catered for. There's a play structure for children. The burger patty is freshly made, and they asked for the doneness.

The restaurant is beautifully located and has friendly staff. €40 for a three-course meal. The dishes are beautifully presented. I personally didn't find the main course (vegetarian gnocchi, and I also tried cod) very flavorful and found the portion rather small for the price. I think it was €23 for the gnocchi with very little else added. I can definitely recommend the dessert (lemon meringue).

The main course was poorly seasoned, cold, tough meat, and rock-hard vegetables. The house-provided glass of wine (which wasn't served until halfway through the main course) was on the receipt; I requested and received a refund. They offered to take the plate back to the kitchen to "heat it up," but my dining companion and I wouldn't have been able to eat at the same time. The only good solution would have been two new plates. My dining companion's meat was delicious. The starter and dessert were good and tasty. Our son's side dish contained tomatoes, even though it had been agreed they wouldn't be included. The cucumber instead was unfortunately missing. The terrace was messy, not tidy, and hadn't been swept. The cushions on the chairs weren't very clean. The outdoor furniture for the service staff was dirty and messy. Upon arrival, I wasn't greeted by four waitresses. It's a real shame that such a beautiful location is so disappointing in reality. The prices are very reasonable (3-course €40), but I'd rather pay a tenner more for better quality, cleanliness, and service. The restrooms were clean. Nice play equipment for the kids. The kids' burger came with a small portion of fries. The burger meat was very good, but there was a lot of sauce. The staff was clearly chatting among themselves in front of the guests. Not professional. We had made a reservation in advance. Because of our experience, we definitely won't be back. We explained our feedback about the food clearly. Due to the lackluster response, they weren't able to turn this complaint into a positive opportunity. It's a shame. We'd wanted to eat here before, but it just didn't happen. Unfortunately, our expectations weren't met.

I’ve been at that restaurant few times and the food was good, staff are lovely and the place is so beautiful with an amazing view, but yesterday I had a ceaser salad and the chicken was raw inside, I asked the waiter about it because it was clearly not cooked properly and she just showed the plate to another waiter and they make their own conclusion and they said that the chicken was cooked and it’s normal. I have eaten at so many restaurants and I never had a chicken like this, plus chicken can be dangerous if is not cooked properly. I sent message on Instagram and no answer. So I hope next time they can pay more attention and care more about their customers.

We came for lunch Nice restaurant, great ambiance, beautiful style and beautiful view by the water. Nice place to chill. Food: the hamburger had no taste, even after adding salt and pepper and the bread of the hamburger was too cooked. But the 12 o’clock menu was fine. Drink: we had a view to the Bar and saw the waiter every time when he takes a straw to put in the glace he took and pressed the top of the straw with his finger. Don’t find it really hygienic.

Lots of staff but not efficient. Waiting to be assigned a place takes a long time. Doesn't seem like a difficult task to me.... Yes it was busy but let the staff who walk past empty-handed a dozen times put guests in a place first. Done in a jiffy. That way you prevent people from walking away. Furthermore good bitterballen and 0% cocktails.

We wanted to eat something to drink, the drink was taken. A glass from the previous people was left on the table and was not taken. Then after 10 minutes we got the lunch menu and that was also taken afterwards. But still no drinks. After more than 25 minutes we left and thanked them kindly for the good service. BOAT RENTED You can rent a nice sloop here for a maximum of 8 people for 3 hours. Advantages: -3 hours, so you can take a tour of the city canal and the Zwartewater. -electric, so quiet, so nice to listen to music -spacious, comfortable sofas with cushions, table in the middle. -piece of roof possible for some shade

The menu we ordered included fries, we received one bowl instead of two, this was to prevent waste.... you could still get more when it was gone, but you still pay for the entire menu... We had to wait a while for our main course, probably due to the crowds, but we got a drink on the house and were in no rush. Recommended for a relaxed and tasty meal. Parking is available nearby in the Katwolderplein parking garage.

What a beautiful, cozy and nice restaurant this is! Delicious food in a special location! We were with a group and therefore received a 'limited' menu that had something for everyone. I will definitely come back here!

There was no table available to eat, but we could have a drink on the terrace according to the host. Where we were ignored by the staff for more than 20 minutes (five girls who barely did anything and actually saw us). Finally someone showed up just as we were getting up to leave. They had been too busy and weren't serving anyone anymore. Rare rude treatment.

With a change of ownership, the emphasis is on turnover at the lowest possible costs. When the irritating thing happens, the staff checks whether you want to order something to drink again. With the various open wines recommended, there is of course no mention of the price differences between them. The main meal is very similar, although all 4 of us ordered something different. All in the same bowl with almost identical garnish. Too many place settings, most of them unoccupied. A clear turnaround after the Hofvlietvilla. Price value is no longer ok.

Yesterday we celebrated my father's 70th birthday at De Hofvlietvilla and that was fantastic! You did everything you could to make it a super successful drink, the decoration was beautiful, the service was very good and I would especially like to thank Kim for the creative solution that allowed us to sit by the water. Best spot in Zwolle!

Delicious food in a beautiful historic location right in the center

Upon arrival we were well received by the staff and we were immediately able to get a place to sit. We arrived around 4.45 pm so we expected it to be full already. We both ordered a Caesar salad with sweet potato fries to share and it was very tasty. We just didn't expect anchovies in it, but that's something we personally don't like. But all in all a very good experience and definitely worth repeating, a good atmosphere, reasonable prices, friendly staff and delicious food, what more could you want?:-)

The restaurant has a very pleasant and cozy atmosphere with a beautiful view of the city center of Zwolle. We were a total of 4 people and we all had a 3-course menu of our choice. Actually everything was delicious, but the baby salad with trout and the stroopwafel dessert are highly recommended. Finally, the staff was very friendly and helpful. In short, a very successful evening with delicious food. Recommended!

Because I have to eat lactose-free and gluten-free, my girlfriend specially called the restaurant to ask if they could put together such dishes. This was no problem at all according to the restaurant employee. Because everything would be freshly prepared the same evening, so these dietary requirements could be taken into account. Ultimately, there was 1 starter and 1 main course available for me. Unfortunately, that evening I was told that the main course could not be served gluten-free after all. As an alternative, I was offered warm vegetables and a green salad with some tomatoes and cucumber. Without herbs, sauce or what so ever. What disappoints me is that this was specifically called in advance, promises were made and that in the end there is a meager alternative for a significant amount of money. Shame. I hope this will be arranged differently for future guests.

21-12-2024 Dear Maurice, We certainly didn't misunderstand it. My wife and I have been to your restaurant a total of 3 times to be more certain about the reservation. All three times, 3 different employees confirmed to us that this is your policy. That's fine (after all, you are the owner) but don't come up with a story that WE misunderstood. 16-12-2024 A nice ambiance in itself, but a lot of windows. Unfortunately, turnover is more important than building a regular clientele. We wanted to reserve a number of tables for 15 people before the end of January 2025. They wanted to reserve these tables for us as a preference, but if a larger group, for example, also wants those specific tables 2 weeks before then, that will take precedence. We would then be placed "somewhere" else where it might be less intimate. So turnover for satisfied clientele.

Leuke brasserie aan het water in Zwolle. Geschikt voor een lekkere koffie, met of zonder iets lekkers erbij, maar ook voor het uitgebreidere werk. Supervriendelijke dames in de bediening, enthousiast en open. Lekkere ongedwongen sfeer enne, zalige cappucino!

I went there with a friend today for lunch and coffee and cake because of my birthday. Unfortunately, we are very disappointed with the service. The atmosphere is no longer what it used to be. Suddenly, while we were still eating, an employee told us that we had to vacate that table within fifteen minutes because of a reservation. (food see photo) I thought it was very strange that they had not informed us when we took a seat. When we indicated that we wanted to stay for coffee, she did nothing to compensate other than listening to us and did not indicate us another place. Unfortunately, we left there dissatisfied and celebrated my birthday where the service is much better #douweegberts. (See photo ;)

A French restaurant. We liked its location. We ordered espresso and cappuccino. The staff were friendly and welcoming to the guests. It had a beautiful view and a quiet place. They had outdoor tables and glass rooms, and they had a special place for children. It was a nice experience.

I mean, the atmosphere and the atmosphere, and there is no mistake, come and try everything good, it matters, and you have the view, it is something wonderful.

Zondag 27 oktober ging ik met mijn vriendin lunchen, de entourage en bediening waren prima, maar het eten vreselijk slecht, de Ceasar salade met grote stukken harde little jam, de dressing veel te weinig en uit een flesje, geen Parmezaanse kaas , de kok had wel vijf dingen aan zijn hoofd, kortom gewoon smakeloos. Ik nam de salade Nicoise en het zelfde, gewoon vies en geen krieltjes. Het wordt tijd dat er weer aandacht wordt geschonken aan het eten. Advies, niet naar toe gaan.
