I have been here not once, not twice, not this year, not last year, and not just a few years ago. I had a great experience, which is why I wanted to bring a friend. I told him on the way what a fantastic place it is, and then what I saw is a total disappointment! Overall, I asked for the table to be cleaned, and they only briefly touched half of it and didn't even let me pick up the items from the table. What is wrong with you all? What happened that you have become so bad? Thanks for ruining my sentence of sitting in a nice spot and quietly enjoying myself.

We had dinner tonight with a group of 8 for a birthday celebration in the conservatory with a beautiful view. The food was delicious, although it took a very long time, even though only a few tables were occupied. Additionally, the service was very slow and not very welcoming. It is a real shame, because we would actually love to come back for the delicious food and the beautiful location.

Food, drinks, and service were fine, but it was so busy / noisy that you couldn't have a normal conversation.

The location is perfect. But the food is relatively substandard. It looks impressive, but the taste is ordinary. The sirloin steak was a bit rubbery. The tiramisu was just a small three-tiered cake.

It is located in a very nice spot in the beautiful city of Zwolle! The service was sloppy, the cutlery mediocrely clean, and the quality of the food terrible. What a shame! Maurice took my feedback very seriously, which is why we will definitely be back, hopefully with a 5-star rating.

We had lunch at De Eendracht in good company. We had seats by the window and looked out onto the canal with the hustle and bustle of people on SUPs or passing by in boats. The lunch was good, and we were asked in a timely manner if everything was to our liking. We left the establishment after nearly two hours.

Fantastic location, excellent service, delicious dinner. The only "downside" is the chairs in the restaurant: not comfortable. Put club armchairs there and the guests will stay seated longer. 😀

Perhaps our expectations were set too high. A prime location by the water and then good food. Even a day later, we still have mixed feelings, although we had a pleasant evening. It started with a long wait before we could order. The table had not been cleaned. However, the quality of the (meat) dishes was good, apart from the fish on the children's menu. The presentation of the dishes and the portion sizes were very disappointing. The photos on the website show something quite different. The prices are disproportionate, with a strange surcharge on top of that for a few dishes. The service was a bit stiff at first but improved later. The indoor play area for children adjoins the seating area for other guests. Not convenient if a noisy group is sitting there under the influence of quite a bit of alcohol. The price-quality ratio is completely lacking here. For dinner, De Eendracht is not recommended for us. It is fine to sit on the terrace watching the boats with a glass of wine and a charcuterie board. But that is where it ends for us.

Today we had a cup of coffee at this nice location by the water. However, we were shocked by the price we had to pay: €24.00. And we think that is quite pricey for 2 cups of coffee, a soft drink, and two apple pies.

The service was very poor. It took forever for the drinks to arrive. I have never experienced such bad service at such a beautiful location. Very few staff for a large terrace. The Terra is too big for one person. That is why everything takes too long.

What terrible service, waiting too long for a drink, they didn't give the impression that they were happy you came to eat. I immediately said there was only one portion of fries and then it was all gone. I won't be coming back a second time.

Attention! Nice place, but definitely do not order an 'Egg Royale' for lunch. They should have called this dish 'Egg Minimale'. After this bite straight out of Madurodam, you'll spontaneously feel like stopping by Febo. Dear Hofvlietvilla: live up to your name and change that dish; this is really unacceptable.

After a pleasant day at the Blauwvingerdagen (July 29, 2026) and a visit to the cinema, we decided to have a drink at De Eendracht. The terrace looked inviting, with nice weather and pleasant music playing across the street. Unfortunately, the service was very disorganized. It took quite a long time for our order to be taken; we had to call someone over ourselves. We ordered two cappuccinos and a vegetarian snack platter. The cappuccinos only arrived after some time (>20 min) and were actually very tasty, including the accompanying cookie. That was a plus point. After that, however, things went quiet. We were in no rush and enjoyed the terrace and the view of the water, but after waiting about an hour for the snack platter, we asked where it was. It turned out that the order hadn't gone through at all. That can happen, of course, but what disappointed us most was the reaction: there were hardly any apologies, and no attempt was made to resolve the matter properly. Paying the bill was also a hassle. After we indicated that we wanted to leave because the snack platter hadn't arrived and we didn't want to wait much longer, the waitress walked away and proceeded to clear another table. We were only able to pay after we spoke to her again. When I remarked that things weren't running very smoothly that evening, the response was: "Yes, that can happen, right?" An "apology" did follow, but unfortunately, it didn't come across as sincere. Additionally, we noticed that guests next to us were also complaining about the long wait times, that lukewarm beer was being served elsewhere, and that there were a lot of ants crawling on one table (after a while, someone did come with a cloth to remove them). It's a shame, because the location is cozy and the cappuccino was really good. We cannot judge it any further, as we didn't have anything to eat. With a bit more attention to the service and a more customer-friendly handling of errors, this could have been a very different experience.

Meh… I’m not very enthusiastic about this place. The location is really great: cozy by the water. That certainly isn't the problem. Unfortunately, the service and the food were a bit disappointing. For instance, a plain omelet turned out to literally consist of three small fried eggs on two dry slices of bread. For the price, I had expected something a bit more elaborate. The farmhouse bread with chicken salad was fine in itself, but it lacked a bit of flavor there too. Additionally, we didn't really get the feeling that the staff enjoyed having us there. The interaction was quite distant, and because of that, we didn't feel truly welcome. All in all, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't special either. A shame, because the beautiful location does create somewhat higher expectations.

Had drinks here for the first time last night after a movie. What a lovely place. Simply a good vibe. The staff seemed very young, but they were so friendly and patient. Very pleasant all in all! (Oh, if I have to mention a downside: the kitschy artificial flowers on the table. One beautiful fresh flower is already much better.)

We have eaten here several times by now, and every time we were very satisfied. This restaurant boasts a beautiful location by the water and delicious food. It is a great place to go for both lunch and dinner. We went again last night and enjoyed ourselves once more. The service is very friendly. I had some questions about the menu, and the waitress was able to tell me exactly whether I could order certain dishes (due to pregnancy), or she went to the kitchen to check. The starters, main courses, and desserts were a real hit! The veal shank melted in my mouth. And my husband found the tournedos very tender. During dinner, we could look out over the water (I often reserve in advance with a request for a table by the water, and usually that works out). In short: one of my favorite spots in Zwolle, and it will certainly remain so!

Nice location and friendly staff

For my girlfriend's birthday, we went for a coffee and cake at De Eendracht Zwolle. Of course, there are several branches of De Eendracht, but thanks to its unique location surrounded by greenery and by the water, this spot offers just that little bit extra compared to places like Maarssen or Weesp. We both ordered a cappuccino with a lemon meringue tart. We were extremely satisfied and really savored the pastry. There was absolutely nothing to fault at De Eendracht Zwolle. While some other branches sometimes have a somewhat rushed atmosphere, my partner and I completely relaxed here and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. You will certainly see us back here again!

We had a delicious meal. You can sit outside on the terrace or inside the conservatory with the door open by the water. From your seat, you can watch beautiful scenes on the water. Stand-up paddleboarders float, electric boats with enthusiastic captains sail past, and rowers motivate each other in unison. Young people take a dip from the quay on the opposite side; Zwolle is buzzing. We ate oven-roasted spring chicken and turbot. Everything here is fresh and tender. The staff is very attentive. 😀

A few days ago, my husband and I dined at De Eendracht. We were warmly welcomed and assigned a beautiful spot by the water. The food was truly fantastic and exceeded our expectations. Not only were the dishes delicious, but the presentation on the plate was also meticulously taken care of. The service was excellent as well. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. We never had to wait long for a drink or a question, while at the same time being given all the peace and quiet we needed to enjoy our evening. I would like to give an extra compliment to our waitress from Brabant. Unfortunately, I have forgotten her name, otherwise I would have loved to mention her personally. She made us feel right at home immediately and radiated warm, positive energy. Not only towards us as guests, but also towards her colleagues. Her enthusiasm and hospitality made our evening extra special. This young lady is truly made for the hospitality industry. My husband and I will definitely be back here again!

The atmosphere was very unwelcoming, and the staff kept being pushy. Next, we ordered a charcuterie board, which was not pleasant. Everything on the board was not tasty; the pickle was the tastiest item. Then I called because I had forgotten an item, but the phone still wasn't answered after calling 6 times. I am never going here again! Period. Let this be clear to every future visitor.

Looks nicer than it is. After a good start, we didn't see anyone again. Even after asking a colleague twice if we could order anything else, there was no follow-up. When paying, I indicated that we were leaving because we felt unseen and ignored. The reaction to this was downright uninterested. A disappointing experience for us; we will not be coming back here.

If you like Dutch food, this is the place for you. The prices are normal, but the experience is unique.

The food and atmosphere were fine, as we have come to expect from the Hofvliet. However, the service was very substandard, served by a somewhat older woman wearing a black blouse. We did not receive a dinner menu for the first half hour; we had to ask for it! The lady in question did not take our drink orders, and we did not ask if everything was in order. To top it all off, we had to ask to pay ourselves; she went to get the card machine. However, this turned out not to be the case; the lady was too busy chatting at the outdoor bar. Eventually, after 15 minutes, we walked to the bar ourselves and paid. The entire experience and evening were ruined by this woman.

Tables empty, but no one is allowed to sit on them. We're full? Nomination for the Customer Chasing Club.

Beautiful spot on the canal in Zwolle. A cacophony of sounds in the conservatory, and extremely hot when the sun shines. Top notch: Dishes are mostly without garnish, making them look unappealing, while the location and surroundings are. Taste is fine, but the price-quality ratio is not right. Nice staff!!

A generously filled tiered stand with very tasty bites! As a starter, an asparagus and tarragon soup that was well-seasoned! Casper was our waiter; he noticed the guests and was very friendly! All in all, we had the best Easter Sunday at your place!

Today, March 22nd, we had lunch with 4 people. For starters, we had 3 tomato soups and 1 mustard soup; simply tasty and flavorful. Next, 3 country bread pullet pado's; the bread was very sparsely topped with dry lettuce, minimal dressing, and only one of the pado's was present. We ordered 1 tuna melt toastie without cheese; this was also very sparsely topped. The toastie was very hard, especially the edges were so hard that they were almost inedible, and the garnish consisted of dry lettuce again with some radish slices. To finish, we had coffee with pastry. I would like to point out that a piece of apple cake with whipped cream costs 7.95. This is ridiculous, of course. I am certainly not stingy about paying for a nice meal with my daughter and son-in-law, but this was a major disappointment.

The food was delicious. The wide view over the water from the window is lovely. We had the 3-course menu. It was quite busy there, because the Friday afternoon drinks were still going on. But I didn't find that bothersome myself. I thought the chair was a bit hard. But that was the only downside for me.

We had an overnight stay at the Hanze Hotel. They outsource breakfast to the Hofvlietvilla. What a disappointment. Normally, hotel breakfast is a buffet. Here, you had to order every croissant separately, just like an egg, orange juice, coffee, milk, etc. We certainly won't be going back here.

It's a really nice place, but the prices won't make you happy. A glass of wine and a Bacardi and Coke: €18.70

A cozy and beautiful spot for lunch or a cup of coffee. The conservatory makes you feel like you're sitting outside. We had two coffees and a banana bread. It was tasty but a bit dry, and the coffees tasted like espresso, but they were still delicious. Great location on the water.

Food is always delicious, and the staff is very kind. In our first time there, we were in a hurry and mentioned that while giving the order. They made our food ready in 15 minutes. Making this art in such a short amount of time is not a common skill! Second time was with family, and we had very nice evening there, next to the river.

Last night, my boyfriend and I enjoyed a delicious three-course meal. The staff is very friendly; you can tell they enjoy their work (which isn't always the case elsewhere). The food was excellent. We had Christmas lunch and it was all excellent! A friendly welcome, ample and good service. The food was good and beautifully presented on the plates. Some people found the halibut a bit dry, others excellent, and the venison tenderloin melted in their mouths. The dessert was delicious and beautifully made! All of this in a beautiful spot in Zwolle, with a beautifully decorated conservatory with a view, and not noisy! Fantastic! Thank you!

We had Christmas dinner here on Christmas Day 2025 with 12 people. We reserved for 6:00 PM; the first course only arrived after 1.5 hours, the main course after 2.5 hours, everything took a very long time; we got the impression that the kitchen couldn't handle it. Portions were very meager and uneven. Food quality was good, except for the halibut, which was very dry. Service was mediocre and curt. The price/quality ratio was not as it should be. In short, this was our first time at the Hofvilla, but we won't be going back anytime soon; there are much better restaurants to be found in Zwolle.

We ate here for the first time, but definitely not the last. The food was fantastic; we had a wonderful meal. The decor is charming, and the service very hospitable. Tip: try the warm chocolate cake for dessert.

The appearance and entrance raised expectations, but overall, it was mediocre/reasonable. The service and welcome were fine. The food wasn't great. It was fresh and prepared with care, but expectations were higher. We won't be returning for dinner, but we'll definitely be back for drinks on the terrace in the summer, as it has a beautiful location right on the water. However, the chairs in the section where we dined were too small for a long meal.

Yesterday I sat here by the water and enjoyed a drinks platter. My egg and peanut allergies were also well taken into account. All the staff are proactive and attentive. I'll be back!

Celebrated a birthday today with nine people. You get a card, but if you can't choose from that, there's no other option. There's nothing for kids, we couldn't even order a little sauce... The service was terrible... no, not for us anymore.

Last Saturday, with modest expectations, we attended the special Hamersma dinner at De Hofvlietvilla, now part of De Eendracht. We can only say: this was an evening and a dinner to remember! We were welcomed with prosecco and freshly baked bread with butter, ham, and a pickle. Beef Tenderloin Carpaccio with Duck Liver Curls: A fantastic and surprising start. The combination of the tender tenderloin and the duck liver was an unexpected but very successful addition. Bawikov Smoked Salmon: What a feast on the plate. The salmon was perfectly smoked, wonderfully tender, and flavorful. A definite step up in the culinary experience. Cod with Jerusalem Artichoke Sauce: Another course to savor! The cod was cooked to perfection and perfectly balanced with the Jerusalem artichoke sauce. The addition of roasted hazelnuts added a surprising and savory twist that made this dish truly special. Veal Steak with Truffle Jus: This was the undisputed highlight of the evening. The steak was incredibly tender, and the truffle jus was BRILLIANT! We thought the cod was unbeatable, but this dish was even better than its predecessor. Chocolate Tart: A substantial, yet delicious, ending. The dishes were flawlessly accompanied by a selection of high-quality wines, carefully chosen by host Harold Hamersma. His funny and entertaining anecdotes accompanying each wine presentation completed the evening. If this is the new standard, we would love to return. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys high-quality and distinctive dishes.

Unique location, and the building has been beautifully renovated and decorated. Very friendly staff: pleasant and professional. It just seems like they ran out of inspiration by the time they got to the kitchen. A cooked piece of cauliflower was slightly overcooked, bland. The stuffed cannelloni wasn't quite right and was too dense. The stroopwafel dessert was essentially nothing more than ice cream with a waffle. The beer selection comes straight from the wholesaler. This place deserves better, folks!
