The chicken was bloody and pink inside. The waitress said it was supposed to be that way, otherwise it would be too dry. It's a shame they didn't offer me an alternative; I couldn't eat it, but I still had to pay.

Nice and quiet, nice choice between small or large soup, we had paprika and mustard soup, nicely presented chicken curry sandwich, good coffee, neat service, very nice to sit while your spouse wanders around the bookstore.

A Brasserie in a former church building, next to the Van der Velde bookstore. Nice atmosphere and great food. Point of attention is the service, young and mostly inexperienced can't really keep up when it's busy. You sometimes have to wait a long time before you are served and get your order.

Beautiful place, delicious tea and also nice to work flexibly.

Beperk je hier ajb tot een bakkie pleur van $4. Besteld broodje blijkt een plak brood. Beleg blijkt kale garnering (sla en tomaatjes; was ook niet lekker) met wat reepjes zalm en zure (!) ansjovis.

Had lunch there this afternoon. The price-quality ratio was poor. I had a kind of veggie burger that fell apart and was probably still incomplete. The taste was reasonable, but the quality was poor.

Slechte ervaring, broodje kaas met salade. Droge sla, een beetje dressing na goed proeven, 2 minitomaatjes en een flintertje komkommer op een droog broodje zonder boter. En dat dan voor 12,50 euro! Vreselijk smakeloos, wij komen er nooit weer.

If you’re looking for something different, unique, and totally captivating, check out the brasserie at the Broerenkerk church in Zwolle. It dates to 1466, with construction by the Dominicans completed in 1512, and it’s the only religious monument of its kind in the world to have been converted to a bookstore. Within its midst, there’s a classy brasserie serving drinks, desert, and lunch, and it is here the Cherry Wonderdog ate a scrumptious meal while gazing in awe at the tall cathedral ceiling and elegant furnishings, now ingeniously filled with reading material for young and old. I had a scallion-garnished, creamy, Zwolse mustard soup which was pretty good though probably not the best I tasted in the country. Next, I enjoyed a beautiful open faced salmon and anchovies sandwich, smoked and pickled, with marinated cucumbers, fennel, radishes, watercress, and tomatoes on fresh bread. My better half had oriental chicken on sourdough bread, with little gem, acar, sesame seeds, lime mayonnaise, No complaints at all. For dessert, we shared a cappuccino. Instead of one dedicated server, there was a staff of three or four young waiters who tended to our needs without hesitation. All in all, it was extremely relaxed and pleasant. I couldn’t imagine eating at any other place while visiting the city for the first time. Clearly there were a lot of locals, too, hanging out drinking coffee and eating in the furthermost section of sofas and armchairs.

Ik word hier zo gelukkig van. Het enige minpunt is dan ook de keuzestress. Als je net als ik een beetje introvert ben, dan is dit iets misschien iets voor jou. Heerlijk om iets te lezen te kiezen, neer te ploffen in het café gedeelte, te lezen en mensen kijken. Waarom hebben wij dat niet dichter bij huis?

Staff (male) have no sense of service in the catering industry. Better sell tractors. Asked for a sandwich: that won't be available for another 15 minutes??? Ordered apple pie twice with coffee. The coffee was delivered but no apple pie. When we asked for the bill it just said apple pie? Lady on the bill was very friendly and disappointed. To the man who served: you better do something else. Point 1 you are not friendly at all and point 2 you are not service oriented

Had lunch at this brasserie today. It was very busy, it was completely full. We were afraid that it would be a long session, but that fear was unfounded. We hadn't even been seated for 5 minutes before we were able to place our order. After about 10 minutes our salads were brought. Lots and very tasty. The food is delicious and the service excellent, friendly and prompt. Recommended.

Beautiful restaurant and book store. Delicious food, great to catch up over a coffee or a meal. Amazing collection of books to go through afterwards.

prima eten maar wanneer je ongevraagd een bord en bestek krijgt omdat je je grote club sandwich wilt delen en daar dus een toeslag voor moet betalen , is dat een reden voor mij om er nooit meer te komen. Klantvriendelijk staat voor mij boven de kwaliteit van het eten. Dit alles werd niet gecommuniceerd en niet vermeld op de kaart. Toen ik dit benoemde werd er geantwoord dat het bestek ook afgewassen moet worden en dat kost geld.

Apple pie is old and limp. Ambiance ok.

We were 9 people and 2 children in a stroller. There was just enough room for all of us, but we were still turned away because the 2 strollers would take up too much space. A little later we saw that there was a family with a stroller exactly where we wanted to sit. In short, you are not welcome with 2 strollers, because small children obviously do not make money.

The regular cheesecake I ordered turned out to be a purple slice of SchwarzwalderKirsch, which was not mentioned on the menu or by the waitress. The cake tasted like something unidentifiable, best described as paint. Even though I had taken two bites, I still had to pay for the cake. An alternative solution was not negotiable.

Had lunch today on the outdoor terrace. Didn't think carefully about paying and paid 21 euros more than I should have. (48 instead of 27 euros). Called later and the difference was immediately arranged. Nice approach with a sense of confidence. My thanks. By the way, the food was delicious. Bert van Bremen
