I was here several times in 2020 and 2021. It was fantastic then, and it still is! The staff is friendly and professional. They recommended a fantastic white (German) and red (Portuguese) wine for the courses (smoked eel and venison steak). The food was unparalleled! I'd love to come back again!

Friendly, welcoming service. Coats are accepted. There's even a nice, large blanket if you're cold.

A beautiful restaurant where time flies by, enjoying the food and each other. I had Leo's surprise menu, which included beautifully coordinated dishes. Portions may seem small, but be warned: the tableware is enormous! The food is more than enough. Absolutely fantastic.

Refined food at a very reasonable price. A feast not only for the taste buds but also for the eyes. Generous portions. A good menu. The Boognier was a perfect match with the smoked salmon and haddock. Service was smooth and friendly.

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, and the waitstaff was very friendly. The main course, the beef cheek, was decent, though quite salty. The other dishes on the menu are quite pricey. The dessert was delicious.

Found it through Restaurant Week. Enjoyed a delicious three-course lunch. Surprising presentations, a good balance of flavors, and a feast for the eyes too. Feel free to ask the staff for wine and food pairings; this gentleman knows his stuff. If you're in Sneek and fancy a delicious lunch, I'd recommend it. The interior is decorated in beautiful warm shades of blue.

Another delicious lunch with the lunch platter. Always a pleasure. Everything is simply delicious and flavorful. The service is super friendly and attentive to the guests.

We had a delicious meal here. We started with mustard soup and steak tartare. For the main course, my wife had veal and I had rengdang. We also had a bowl of fries and some vegetables. We also had a bowl of pears. Rengdang was served without rice, which I personally love. We didn't have dessert.

We asked for brown bread, and were told they had sourdough bread. Unfortunately, we received croquettes on white toasted bread. For the price, we found the lunch disappointing. The service and atmosphere were excellent.

In addition to delicious food, good and friendly service, and reasonable prices, there is also an excellent wine list that offers plenty of choice.

A nice historical place. During Sneek Week, beer and wine in plastic. Really not allowed on the terrace. And the staff drinks from glasses. I think they're better people. Tripel and dubbel out of plastic, absolutely not, ever. Stupid Sneek Week rules.

We arrived at 8:40 PM. Initially, we couldn't get in because the kitchen closes at 9:00 PM. The owner let us know we were very welcome, even though the kitchen was already completely clean and tidy. We had a delicious meal! Compliments to the chef!!! (My father would say: you get an 11!) I ordered a tournedos, but I've never had such a deliciously seasoned tournedos!!! Beautiful and atmospheric restaurant, friendly service, and a very good chef!! If we're ever in Sneek again, we'll definitely eat here again! Hope you can maintain the quality! What a gem in Sneek! One of the best restaurants. You won't find anything better. Fresh dishes and an excellent menu. Highly recommended. Definitely try the gastronomic experience. Top-notch service with friendly waiters and hosts.

Comparing with other restaurants with the same rating it didnt meet my expectation. A bit noisy from the near bar service/ could be improved/ but after all rating good.

At Brasserie de Koperen Kees aired. With the high temperatures that were there we sat outside under the parasol by the water. The service was good, correct and interested. We had a delicious but also relaxing meal.

Nice restaurant, nice menu, large selection of open wines, from average prices to the higher segment and pleasant attentive service. Bistro choice menu eaten 42.50. Amuse (nice soup) and bread with spreads with the starter without extra charge. Starter and dessert touch the higher segment in terms of presentation and taste experience. Main courses were fine and generous in portion, however less pronounced than starter and dessert. Busy place. Many regular guests (?) Reservations are useful. Will definitely come back.

We had a spontaneous lunch here on Easter Monday. Immediately upon entering we felt the pleasant atmosphere. The food was excellent, especially the asparagus soup was delicious. Served by nice, young girls. Very nice, highly recommended!

We enjoyed a delicious lunch on the terrace and hence a lower rating for the atmosphere. Delicious bouncer and my girlfriend had the eggs Benedict which were also delicious. Both highly recommended.

Delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere

Beautiful and nice restaurant. Unfortunately, this time I was on the wrong track. Appointed 3 times to 3 different employees. Ordered hot tea once because I was so cold. This was also mentioned but nothing was done about it. My husband and I each closed the connecting door 3 times, which helped enormously. But there was only one member of staff who always closed the door properly, so that was out of the question. 1 x wrong drink and 2 x (almost) wrong food served on the table. Had to wait 1x 65 minutes for the next course. (Just an error but it was not mentioned to us, no compensation) Well for the price/appearance of the restaurant this is simply insufficient. Count on 95 euros per person for an extensive 5-course dinner, then you don't want to miss out. So not for me anymore for a while. Food was good.

We drove past here for lunch and it appealed to us. It was still quiet so there was room inside and outside. Ordered hot chocolate, it came as hot milk with pearls, which was a bit disappointing in terms of taste. Croquette sandwich was tasty, chicken sandwich with avocado was also tasty.

We had made a reservation for this summer Sunday evening, but that turned out not to be necessary. It was quite quiet and we immediately got a nice feeling. We sat outside all evening, where soft and quiet music could be heard through the restaurant's speakers. Upon arrival we were helped well and informed about all the options on the menu. We received a special toast as a starter and ordered the oyster tasting and the mussels (changing dish) and steak. The oyster tasting was very tasty and different from what we are used to. About 15 minutes after our starter the main courses arrived. The meat was extremely tasty and the mussels were the same. A place with lots of wine and tasty dishes. Later in the evening the heat lamps were turned on which was very pleasant. Quite narrow toilets, but very clean and there were menstrual products available in the ladies' toilet. Plus points for that. I definitely recommend this!

We needed a break from the hustle and bustle and we came to the right place. Delicious fries (home-cut, very tasty) with truffle sauce and coffee. Very tasty and, above all, not overly salty, so seasoned just right. The fries were very hot, so they had to wait, but it was worth it. The staff is very nice and checked every now and then to see if we were satisfied. So a clear recommendation. Especially dishes that are very well prepared and not too bulky. And it's on the way to the Model Railway Museum. Sitting outside in a quiet place, TOP.

I made a reservation here for 3 people on the same day, first of all I didn't feel welcome due to the haughty attitude of the staff, then we were put at a table where I could eat with a maximum of 2 people, but unfortunately there were set up with 3 people... Once we were seated, we asked for the wine list with advice, the person in question apparently had no knowledge about the wines, she just knew what was on the menu. Unfortunately we cannot give an opinion about the food, because we felt so unwelcome we decided to pay the bill and leave. Food was okay. The steak tartare could have been better balanced. Tasted mainly sour now, due to the additions, but still fresh. The bouncer was ordinary. Service was a bit slow in bringing the menu. When I went to get it myself, this was not possible. Cappuccino handle much too small to hold cup.

Lunch platter for two people. Varied dishes of good quality! Friendly staff. We were also asked in advance about any dietary requirements. Good explanation of the dishes. Affordable, €40.00 including drinks for two people.

With a portion of asparagus with salmon you get exactly 2 asparagus! And a thin piece of salmon

It's all just not great. I find the menu quite one-sided and did not match the menu on the website, the service was ordinary and the atmosphere normal with a miserable view of a demolished building across the street. The food tasted good.

Wir hatten das Brasserie-Menu mit drei Gängen und Vor-und Hauptgericht zeichneten sich durch ihren besondere, unaufdringliche und dabei außergewöhnliche Würzung. Die Beilagen waren reichhaltig und das Dessert ein Traum. Anlässlich des Geburtstages unseres Freundes wurde der Platz liebevoll geschmückt.

Verrassende smaakcombinaties, rendeng & coquilles. Radijs & zalm. Burrata & biet + bieten confiture. Naast de entrecote als hoofdgerecht was het nagerecht met sorbetijs en witte chocolade erg lekker. Everything is right here! Special food in a beautiful building that is tastefully decorated. All the staff are warm and welcoming and every detail has been thought through, which makes it not only very good but also a special night out.

Had an early dinner last Saturday before going to the musical De Tocht. I saw a piece at Binnenste Buiten that inspired us to eat here. It was, in one word, FANTASTIC!!! Delicious original dishes, fine wines, hospitable service, cozy atmosphere, it is highly recommended. For the price-quality ratio, it is a shame that only 5 stars can be given. As far as we are concerned, a 7 star Brasserie. Thank you Artsje, Kees and the rest of the very hospitable and extremely friendly service.

Last night my partner, 1.5 year old son and I had a delicious meal here. The staff was very attentive and customer-friendly. You rarely see them like this anymore. They were also very cooperative with our little one. We also had a fantastic meal. It was a party, thanks for this!

On Christmas Day, our food was provided by catering company Koopper Kees, which was very tasty and very extensive. On Boxing Day we had dinner in the beautiful restaurant. The food was top notch and surprising, the service professional and friendly. We enjoyed it and will definitely come again.

Onlangs met collega’s gegeten bij De Koperen Kees. We hadden een ronde tafel en dat komt de gezelligheid prettig ten goede. De bediening deed haar werk prima op een prettige en bescheiden wijze, niets op aan te merken. De kaart is klein, eigenlijk net iets te klein. Voor alle gerechten gold dat deze erg mooi waren opgediend. Ik begon met de steak tartaar, dat smaakte prima, maar vond achteraf hiervoor de prijs toch wel te stevig. Mijn hoofdgerecht was de wildzwijn, dat was een mooi stuk vlees die werkelijk voortreffelijk van smaak was, een fijne bijzondere smaakervaring. De garnituur was prima, tot tweemaal toe extra frites besteld, die niet in rekening zijn gebracht, een fijne service. Het dessert was de dame blanche, deze was erg origineel en heerlijk van smaak. De avond werd afgesloten met een prima kop koffie.

Had dinner here with 2 people on Saturday evening. Table on the top floor. Jesse was the host here and despite being alone most of the time, he was in control. Regularly asking if everything was to your liking, drinks served quickly and neatly and explanations where necessary. The food was good, but it's a pity that no plate or cutlery is provided in advance with the bread and shrimp croquettes. The crust of the shrimp croquettes was a bit soft, so dipping them in the sauce was a bit dramatic. Fish your piece of croquette out of the sauce with your fingers. So you have to use your cutlery for the main course. And it's also nice if you can park your piece of bread on a plate instead of... having to put it back among the rest of the bread. Taste was very good. Fish and steak were also very tasty, fries a little too crispy, but not so bad that we wanted to send them back to the kitchen. For dessert we had the small sweet to share with a cappuccino and a barraquito. Delicious pieces of brownie and other cake and chocolate and certainly not a small one. There was plenty to share. All in all we had a nice evening with a few minor comments that really didn't spoil the fun. And no, it is not a cheap restaurant, but with the current prices it is certainly not too expensive. After all, art must be paid for. And if you have trouble with that, you have to walk through, there is the snack bar

Ate here with my girlfriend on a Thursday evening. I thought the price-quality ratio of the food was okay. Had a steak tartare which was tasty but a bit bland and the pickle too sharp. Portion was also small. Had veal ribeye as a main course. The quality of the meat and preparation was fine, but there was almost no salt and there was no salt on the table, so I had to ask the waiter. Friend ordered duck, which was very tasty. There was only a crispy bit that was really not tasty. After asking the waiter, this turned out to be factual sea lettuce. Tasted very bitter and was not crispy and very greasy. I expected more for this price

Had a delicious meal at De Koperen Kees on Wednesday evening. It was very quiet on Wednesday evening, but the nice table on the water and the kind and attentive service still created a cozy and cozy atmosphere. We had the chef's surprise menu and the burrata (starter), carrot (main) and monchou cake (dessert). All dishes tasted delicious, especially the monchou cake and the angus steak from the surprise menu. We will definitely come back!

Last Tuesday during Sneekweek we had dinner with a group of 12 people at De Koperen Kees; Great that this was finally possible after some puzzling in terms of space and with the tables 😊 I personally had the ravioli, which was very tasty! The rosé that was served was also great. The people who ordered meat only found it a bit disappointing compared to their expectations. We would also prefer a sweeter coffee liqueur such as Kahlúa in the espresso martini instead of the Licor 43 baristo that was now in it; this made the cocktail quite bitter. This could of course also be a preference, but Kahlúa was there (we were able to add it later) and the option between the two would then be better. All in all we had a very pleasant evening and the service was very friendly! 🙌🏻 🙌🏻 🙌🏻

Had lunch at De Koperen Kees for my birthday with a group of 15 people. They had reserved a separate corner for us and even hung streamers. We all had a Tasting with different small snacks, it was delicious!

The American from Detroit did very well! We thought one of the ladies was a bit amicable for the high quality that was offered. The food was of high quality, everything fresh. The preparation of the eel did not go as we had hoped. The skin was fried a bit long perhaps? For 22 euros we expected a slightly larger avocado dish. Now it turned out that the other half of the avocado was missing... The dessert was more cakey, so the ratio was wrong. All in all, more can be tied for the money. Now it felt more like shrinkflation.

Delicious food and a nice atmosphere with super friendly and skilled service. Just near the center, definitely worth a detour. We ate the mussels and the grilled avocado with fried asparagus and kimchi.
