Brasserie De Koperen Kees in Wijk 01 Sneek

We were a group of six for dinner at Koperen Kees this evening. We all ordered the set menu and were more than satisfied! The food was fantastic and the service was incredibly friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back!

We dined outside with four of us just before the start of Sneekweek. The service was prompt and very friendly. Unfortunately, my entrecote was quite tough. Otherwise, everything was okay. The interior was tastefully decorated.

We made a reservation here because of the good reviews. But it was such a disappointment: we had to wait more than half an hour for our menu, and we only received it after I had walked inside. The waitress was apparently having an off day too. The mussels were of mediocre quality, and we ended up paying 80 euros for 2x white wine and 2x mussels. 😖. Not recommended, therefore.

After a day with De Tourist at the skûtsjesilen (traditional Frisian sailing races), we went to brasserie De Koperen Kees. We had made a reservation and were given a table by the window. A warm welcome and attentive service made the surprising food taste delicious. The bubble tea for those who didn't want wine was more than just an alternative. The Sneekweek menu was very tasty and well-presented. The portion sizes were adjusted, and the rhubarb (with banana) brought back good memories. So, a wonderful conclusion to an annual visit to Sneek, where we used to live. The possibility of parking on the Westersingel behind the AH makes a visit to this restaurant possible for those who can no longer walk very far! Thank you to the chefs and staff. We would love to visit again.

Wonderfully quiet place. Good, professional service. A wonderfully stocked charcuterie board (no fried food) and a good glass of wine. Definitely recommended. Had a delicious lunch today. Everything is just right here. A big thumbs up.

Best restaurant in Sneek, highly recommended

We had a delicious meal, a 4-course chef's menu with (designated driver) wine pairing. Very pleasant and knowledgeable service, and the spot outside was perfect. We will be back!

It is very luxurious. I had a three-course menu and it was delicious. Small bites served in a chic manner.

Fine place, but not if you don't eat fish. The service was also a bit rude when we decided not to stay for dinner. Drinks took a long time too. We also didn't really see anything special or that suited our appetite on the menu at that moment.

Great place and wonderfull food

We walked past and just knew we had to eat there. Fortunately, our sweet dog daughter was also welcome, so we enjoyed a delicious menu. The food was delicious, the service top-notch, and the ambiance superb. It was also nice that I was allowed to recommend a very tasty non-alcoholic red wine. Highly recommended, and if we are in the area again, we will most certainly be back.

De Koperen Kees is highly regarded, and that proved to be justified once again. Due to previous good experiences, expectations were high, yet we were surprised again by the delicious food. A great deal of attention has been paid to this, with clearly fresh ingredients. The welcome is very friendly and professional, and the same applies to the service. All this despite the large crowds on Saturday evening.

Had a wonderful evening, with excellent service that really captured the atmosphere. I was delighted with the seafood, which you do have to order in advance, and rightly so, of course. Simply pleasantly surprised, thank you.

It's a truly wonderful experience, nothing could be better. The service was also pleasant, smooth, and spontaneous, with attention to everyone.

The food was fantastic. And what was truly special (and something many hospitality businesses could learn from): the very genuinely friendly staff member asked if we wanted a bottle of water. Which we didn't charge for. SUPER! That's how it should be, what hospitality! And... as a customer, you really wouldn't order anything less.

Delicious food and pleasant atmosphere

This was our second time eating here, and it was fantastic again. We had the 5-course surprise menu with wine pairing and were pleasantly surprised by the delicious dishes. It's always nice to be presented with something you wouldn't normally choose yourself, but we were incredibly surprised by how delicious it was!

We had a super delicious meal, thanks Leo👍the service was very sweet, interested and patient, and the helpers were great.

Not a cozy place to eat and the food unfortunately had little taste

A lovely lunch with friends. The service was friendly and attentive. The decor was cozy and warm. We had fish, meat, and soup. Everything was delicious. And if I were to complain, it would be a high-quality affair. The fish and the tartare were too cold. I understand, but letting them warm up a bit would have made the dish more enjoyable. But we will definitely be back.

We come here often, and I'm still impressed by how welcome I feel. The food is also absolutely delicious. I had oysters as a starter, pike-perch as a main course, and a cheese board with a side of dessert. Delicious.

I was here several times in 2020 and 2021. It was fantastic then, and it still is! The staff is friendly and professional. They recommended a fantastic white (German) and red (Portuguese) wine for the courses (smoked eel and venison steak). The food was unparalleled! I'd love to come back again!

Refined food at a very reasonable price. A feast not only for the taste buds but also for the eyes. Generous portions. A good menu. The Boognier was a perfect match with the smoked salmon and haddock. Service was smooth and friendly.

We had a wonderful meal here tonight. We both had the set menu and were delighted. Everything was delicious. The meat was cooked to perfection, and the sauce was simply delicious.

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, and the waitstaff was very friendly. The main course, the beef cheek, was decent, though quite salty. The other dishes on the menu are quite pricey. The dessert was delicious.

Found it through Restaurant Week. Enjoyed a delicious three-course lunch. Surprising presentations, a good balance of flavors, and a feast for the eyes too. Feel free to ask the staff for wine and food pairings; this gentleman knows his stuff. If you're in Sneek and fancy a delicious lunch, I'd recommend it. The interior is decorated in beautiful warm shades of blue.

Moderate no warm vegetables too small portions steak was reasonable no 2nd time

We had a delicious meal here. We started with mustard soup and steak tartare. For the main course, my wife had veal and I had rengdang. We also had a bowl of fries and some vegetables. We also had a bowl of pears. Rengdang was served without rice, which I personally love. We didn't have dessert.

We asked for brown bread, and were told they had sourdough bread. Unfortunately, we received croquettes on white toasted bread. For the price, we found the lunch disappointing. The service and atmosphere were excellent.

In addition to delicious food, good and friendly service, and reasonable prices, there is also an excellent wine list that offers plenty of choice.

A nice historical place. During Sneek Week, beer and wine in plastic. Really not allowed on the terrace. And the staff drinks from glasses. I think they're better people. Tripel and dubbel out of plastic, absolutely not, ever. Stupid Sneek Week rules.

We arrived at 8:40 PM. Initially, we couldn't get in because the kitchen closes at 9:00 PM. The owner let us know we were very welcome, even though the kitchen was already completely clean and tidy. We had a delicious meal! Compliments to the chef!!! (My father would say: you get an 11!) I ordered a tournedos, but I've never had such a deliciously seasoned tournedos!!! Beautiful and atmospheric restaurant, friendly service, and a very good chef!! If we're ever in Sneek again, we'll definitely eat here again! Hope you can maintain the quality! What a gem in Sneek! One of the best restaurants. You won't find anything better. Fresh dishes and an excellent menu. Highly recommended. Definitely try the gastronomic experience. Top-notch service with friendly waiters and hosts.

Comparing with other restaurants with the same rating it didnt meet my expectation. A bit noisy from the near bar service/ could be improved/ but after all rating good.

At Brasserie de Koperen Kees aired. With the high temperatures that were there we sat outside under the parasol by the water. The service was good, correct and interested. We had a delicious but also relaxing meal.

Atmospheric restaurant, excellent quality food, friendly service

Nice restaurant, nice menu, large selection of open wines, from average prices to the higher segment and pleasant attentive service. Bistro choice menu eaten 42.50. Amuse (nice soup) and bread with spreads with the starter without extra charge. Starter and dessert touch the higher segment in terms of presentation and taste experience. Main courses were fine and generous in portion, however less pronounced than starter and dessert. Busy place. Many regular guests (?) Reservations are useful. Will definitely come back.

We had a spontaneous lunch here on Easter Monday. Immediately upon entering we felt the pleasant atmosphere. The food was excellent, especially the asparagus soup was delicious. Served by nice, young girls. Very nice, highly recommended!

We enjoyed a delicious lunch on the terrace and hence a lower rating for the atmosphere. Delicious bouncer and my girlfriend had the eggs Benedict which were also delicious. Both highly recommended.

Delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere

Beautiful and nice restaurant. Unfortunately, this time I was on the wrong track. Appointed 3 times to 3 different employees. Ordered hot tea once because I was so cold. This was also mentioned but nothing was done about it. My husband and I each closed the connecting door 3 times, which helped enormously. But there was only one member of staff who always closed the door properly, so that was out of the question. 1 x wrong drink and 2 x (almost) wrong food served on the table. Had to wait 1x 65 minutes for the next course. (Just an error but it was not mentioned to us, no compensation) Well for the price/appearance of the restaurant this is simply insufficient. Count on 95 euros per person for an extensive 5-course dinner, then you don't want to miss out. So not for me anymore for a while. Food was good.

Bread came with the soup when the soup was already gone, otherwise tasty soup (mushroom soup) 1 x bowl of fries with four main courses? Main course fine, wouldn't order it again, very little meat on the bone.

We drove past here for lunch and it appealed to us. It was still quiet so there was room inside and outside. Ordered hot chocolate, it came as hot milk with pearls, which was a bit disappointing in terms of taste. Croquette sandwich was tasty, chicken sandwich with avocado was also tasty.

We had made a reservation for this summer Sunday evening, but that turned out not to be necessary. It was quite quiet and we immediately got a nice feeling. We sat outside all evening, where soft and quiet music could be heard through the restaurant's speakers. Upon arrival we were helped well and informed about all the options on the menu. We received a special toast as a starter and ordered the oyster tasting and the mussels (changing dish) and steak. The oyster tasting was very tasty and different from what we are used to. About 15 minutes after our starter the main courses arrived. The meat was extremely tasty and the mussels were the same. A place with lots of wine and tasty dishes. Later in the evening the heat lamps were turned on which was very pleasant. Quite narrow toilets, but very clean and there were menstrual products available in the ladies' toilet. Plus points for that. I definitely recommend this!

We needed a break from the hustle and bustle and we came to the right place. Delicious fries (home-cut, very tasty) with truffle sauce and coffee. Very tasty and, above all, not overly salty, so seasoned just right. The fries were very hot, so they had to wait, but it was worth it. The staff is very nice and checked every now and then to see if we were satisfied. So a clear recommendation. Especially dishes that are very well prepared and not too bulky. And it's on the way to the Model Railway Museum. Sitting outside in a quiet place, TOP.

I made a reservation here for 3 people on the same day, first of all I didn't feel welcome due to the haughty attitude of the staff, then we were put at a table where I could eat with a maximum of 2 people, but unfortunately there were set up with 3 people... Once we were seated, we asked for the wine list with advice, the person in question apparently had no knowledge about the wines, she just knew what was on the menu. Unfortunately we cannot give an opinion about the food, because we felt so unwelcome we decided to pay the bill and leave. This is how dining out should be. What an incredibly good restaurant!

Food was okay. The steak tartare could have been better balanced. Tasted mainly sour now, due to the additions, but still fresh. The bouncer was ordinary. Service was a bit slow in bringing the menu. When I went to get it myself, this was not possible. Cappuccino handle much too small to hold cup.

Lunch platter for two people. Varied dishes of good quality! Friendly staff. We were also asked in advance about any dietary requirements. Good explanation of the dishes. Affordable, €40.00 including drinks for two people.

With a portion of asparagus with salmon you get exactly 2 asparagus! And a thin piece of salmon

It's all just not great. I find the menu quite one-sided and did not match the menu on the website, the service was ordinary and the atmosphere normal with a miserable view of a demolished building across the street. The food tasted good.

Ein wunderschönes Lokal mit hervorragenden, sehr herzlichen Servicekräften. Das Essen ist hochwertig, außergewöhnlich. Wir hatten das Brasserie-Menu mit drei Gängen und Vor-und Hauptgericht zeichneten sich durch ihren besondere, unaufdringliche und dabei außergewöhnliche Würzung. Die Beilagen waren reichhaltig und das Dessert ein Traum. Anlässlich des Geburtstages unseres Freundes wurde der Platz liebevoll geschmückt.

Verrassende smaakcombinaties, rendeng & coquilles. Radijs & zalm. Burrata & biet + bieten confiture. Naast de entrecote als hoofdgerecht was het nagerecht met sorbetijs en witte chocolade erg lekker. Parkeren (betaald) kan in de buurt.
