Delicious, very good value for money, good, friendly staff, and the owner personally checked to see if everything was okay. The atmosphere is cozy. Highly recommended! Restrooms are a bit dated but clean. Tip: Make a reservation! We'll definitely be back!

We went here because of the many good reviews, and they deserve it! Although the staff doesn't speak Dutch or Frisian, they were exceptionally polite and very hospitable. The spareribs were delicious, although we unfortunately found the sweet spareribs a bit less than stellar. When we mentioned this to the staff and the chef heard about it, he offered to make a replacement dish and even took them off the bill! Where else do you see that? An exceptionally kind gesture. This was probably more of an isolated incident or a matter of taste than the norm. The chef is committed to quality, and it shows. The portions are generous, and the price-quality ratio is excellent. Thank you!

Nice cafe in the heart of Heeg. Nice owner, excellent service by Spanish waiters. Fish stew and large schnitzel, both tasty and large portions. We were very pleased. Earlier this year we were here with a group of 20 sailors. Also well taken care of.

We have been coming to De Notaris for years and this year we had a great meal again. Meat and fish were great. Plenty of choice of different vegetables and some nice fries. The concept of Worldpackers is great. This time we were served by two brothers from Spain (Granada). Nice that you can have a chat with them (that has to be in English) but also nice that we could also speak some Spanish with them. Recommended!

We came to this restaurant because of the many positive reviews. Unfortunately, we're not thrilled at all. Pork fillet with, in my opinion, champion sauce was below the canteen level. I found the spare ribs and the beef cappacio to be boring and disappointing. What should be positively highlighted are the friendly, mostly English-speaking service, the side salad, the fried potatoes and the draft beer. The ultimate disappointment was going to the toilet. The massive smell of clog was accompanied by moldy sink edges. Unfortunately, we cannot understand the consistently positive reviews.

I had a delicious and enjoyable meal here in the fall of 2024. The relatively young staff in particular stood out for their friendliness and attentiveness. They speak English and not Dutch, but I didn't find that a problem at all. Food was well presented and more than sufficient. My steak was certainly not a scanty piece and was wonderfully tender and tasty. The owner is also super friendly and flexible (custom dessert). Great place for a tasty and enjoyable bite.

Hello Luke, Sit in your own restaurant or terrace and take a critical look around you. Uncozy inside, everything dated outside. Food fine, but nothing special. 6+ We were also stimulated by the high reviews and expectations, but these were really disappointing. Very friendly service, they almost got in each other's way. When we were there they had managed very well with half less. Be critical and don't ask friends what they think of your business. I truly wish you much prosperity and happiness.

Just had a delicious meal. At the door it was stated that there was English-speaking service and why. Came here after a day of touring. While waiting for the food, I read the reviews. I don't agree with the negative reviews. What is true: food is a lot, glasses of wine are full. Staff super friendly The furnishings are not new, who cares. When a restaurant has the highest score in the entire village, I expect (much) more than an average experience.

Had a delicious meal tonight, the 3 course menu for €29 was really great with a carpaccio of beef tenderloin, followed by a schnitzel with onion, mushrooms and bacon with fried potatoes and fresh vegetables and a dessert of caramel with whipped cream and chocolate stripes. A truly no-nonsense restaurant with very good quality food. Highly recommended and would love to come again.

A great eatery if you are looking for something simple and without pretensions. Simple tasty things that fit into the category "old-fashioned tasty", such as well-steamed cauliflower with porridge and some grilled almond shavings. The specialty is schnitzel but the rest is also simple and okay. Service is very friendly but sometimes it takes a bit long. A bit old-fashioned interior, but it also has its charm.

Great restaurant with a simple menu and fantastic food. Something for everyone and well priced. The outdoor terrace on the water is nice. The owner came to check if everything was good. I'm guessing he's also the cook. If I were still in Heeg tomorrow, I would eat there again. 10/10

Once again enjoyed a great meal at Notaris. The atmosphere is just cozy. The staff is very attentive and enjoys their work. I had the vegetarian pasta yesterday and it was excellently prepared. Thank you for the lovely evening.

I had such a nice time at Eterij de Notaris last Friday. The food was really good, starters and desserts included! The staff was very friendly and attentive, we talked to some of them and found out they are all backpackers from different countries. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who’d ask, and I will surely be coming back whenever I stop at Heeg.

We hebben een fantastische avond gehad . Het eten was heerlijk en gelukkig meer dan voldoende ,dat is niet in alle restaurants zo. Ook de de wijnglazen waren goed gevuld kortom waar voor je geld !!!! We komen graag terug bij Luuk . Groertjes

We also had dinner here because of the very good reviews. We have been coming to Heeg for years and the catering industry changes quite often. The same here. We knew not to expect a culinary tour de force and we also knew that there would be no Dutch-speaking service. However, the quantity was far too much for us. We ordered spareribs, which were quite tasty, but I left at least 3/4 of them. Also, potato croquettes, or something similar, fries and baked potatoes is a lot of potatoes. The cauliflower was really tasty, but relatively small and the lettuce was small and not very refined. Okay, it's very affordable, but I personally would have preferred something less and a little more varied. Nice spot on the water. I really felt like removing weeds in the garden. Maybe ask a backpacker? I'm really not a bad review writer, I'm just misled by all the super reviews. I felt sick for half the night, perhaps because I was tempted to eat too much by the amount and because it was quite greasy. Shame. Luckily I only had a main course. If you like a lot, this is great food. I also saw a neighbor's wine glass filled to the brim. Personally, I prefer something a bit more refined and less bold. The service was friendly.

Schnitzels are the best here. But, the Hawaii (pineapple and cheese) that my girlfriend so much desired was not on the menu. Just asked in advance and it was possible, as long as we indicated it in advance. That is the hospitality that makes you want to come back again. Oh yeah, the food was just okay.

The best food in Heeg!! Eterij De Notaris is a beautiful place that you can visit it with your pet, family or friends. The attention received by the staff and the chef is impeccable, you can enjoy good music, good food and a good time. You can't leave Heeg without trying the schnitzel or spare ribs from this incredible restaurant! I hope to try this delicious food again.

We had a very delicious meal at Eterij de Notaris yesterday. Schnitzels were on the menu, rarely had such a tasty schnitzel. Reminded me a bit of a day of skiing in Winterberg, A 300 gram schnitzel with all the trimmings, very tasty served with a bag of fries, potatoes, cauliflower and broccoli. Too much for a very good price, for those who want a tasty schnitzel. Thanks for a nice evening

It's a gem in a little Dutch paradise. Simply the best restaurant in Heeg 😍 The service is first class. The chef passes the tables asking if everything is all right. The atmosphere is very pleasant, with music and a beautiful outdoor area. And an incredible detail is the waiters. They're all volunteers! So if you go to this restaurant, ask where the person serving you is from. You might be positively surprised! And pay attention to the end of the menu, because on the last page there is a text telling the story of the place. Oh, and order a Schnitzel. You won't regret it. I recommend it!

After leaving the port a little later, we were moored with our boat in the tourist harbor of Heeg, and after a cancellation we ended up at a fellow restaurant (8:30 p.m.: the chef is already drinking beer...), at Eeterij De Notary. After a warm welcome we had a delicious meal here, a delicious fish stew with various tasty side dishes, a matching wine and a delicious dessert. Everything is right in this restaurant, whose owner describes a respectful life story in his good menu. We highly recommend this location in beautiful Heeg!

Afgelopen dinsdagavond heerlijk gegeten bij de Notaris! De schnitzels waren top, met pepersaus, en verse groenten erbij. Een aanrader.

Een “red flag”. Ze zijn namelijk vroeg met de kerstversiering…..in augustus. Vieze stoelen en tafels buiten. Spinnenrag zat aan mijn been. Vieze glazen. De uitspraak “everything we have are on the card” vond ik wel een mooie uitspraak. Er staat namelijk alleen het woord “frisdrank” op. Wel aardige serveersters. Helaas geen zeep bij de wc’s.

Heerlijke schnitzel gegeten. Sfeer was goed en de bediening vriendelijk.

Fijne locatie met heerlijk eten en vriendelijke bediening. De gastheer komt zelf langs de tafels om te vragen of alles naar wens is.

Het was erg lekker . leuke bediening en de baas kwam ook nog even aan tafel . we waren verrast door de versheid van het eten TOP we komen de volgende vakantie zeker weer

Man wird erstklassig bedient, und die Qualität des Essens ist wirklich sehr gut. Das Personal und auch der Chef legt hohen Wert darauf, dass sich alle Gäste wohlfühlen. Ich kann das Restaurant uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Nettes Lokal, freundlicher Chef und auch das Personal ist sehr nett, spricht nur Englisch aber das ist gar kein Problem. Die Schnitzel in verschiedenen größen und Varianten sind zu empfehlen.

Leckeres Essen uns ein tolles Konzept mit den Backpackern. So konnte ich mein Englisch auch wie ein wenig auffrischen.

Errrug lekker gegeten, 't is dat je maar 5 sterren kunt geven anders gaven we er meer. Je krijgt meer dan genoeg. Stoofpot is een aanrader en ook de spareribs!! De rest is vast ook goed maar dat hebben we nog niet gehad :D. Gastvrijheid is super. Erg leuk om hier te komen. Mensen, ga hier gewoon eens langs, je krijgt er geen spijt van, de sfeer is relaxt, lekkere achtergrond muziek. Ja was gewoon topavond!

Het open karakter van de eigenaar Luuk was heel aangenaam. Hij komt persoonlijk aan tafel vragen of alles naar wens is. Er wordt in dit restaurant gebruik gemaakt van “world backpackers”, seizoens medewerkers uit het buitenland die hier komen werken in hun vakantie. Wij werden geholpen door een Spaanse dame en een heer uit Chili. Super gezellig aan tafel en mega interessant om Engelstalig met te heb te praten over hun plannen en afkomst. Naast een lekkere maaltijd, ruim voldoende en goed op smaak is een bezoek aan Eeterij De Notaris bij een bezoekje aan Heeg zeker de moeite waard! Hartelijke groet uit Harderwijk en graag tot ziens!

Waanzinnig lekker gegeten hier.. Luuk de gastheer heeft een erg simpele maar echt heerlijke kaart samengesteld. Gewoon een echt goede schnitzel of een buitenaardse spare rib...leuk en werelds personeel...gezellig, ongedwongen en een super lokatie... geen haute cuisine maar eerlijk en lekker eten..als je tijd hebt... lees dan ook eens Luuks levensverhaal .. staat ergens in t menu...pfffff...t leven kan je zelf mooi maken... als je mij niet gelooft .. ga eens kijken in Heeg... dan geloof je vanzelf...

We hebben heerlijk gegeten vanavond. Het stoofpotje van rundvlees was erg lekker. De bediening was erg aardig en behulpzaam. Leuk dat ze back-packers aannemen om te werken. Zo leren ze mensen kennen de taal en gewoonten van het land. Leuke jongelui. Dank je wel wij hebben een leuke avond gehad

Heerlijk gegeten, het grotendeels Engels sprekende personeel is supervriendelijk. Een aanwinst voor het dorp, we zijn heel blij dat ze op deze manier gewoon open zijn, hulde!
