Brasserie De Zeven Deugden in Dalfsen

The wait staff is terrible and rude. With a large group, we waited 45 minutes until someone finally came to take our order. We had to walk to the bar twice to ask if someone would take our order. The waiters stood outside and ignored us. Other tables were served, but ours was not. After an hour, someone finally came to us to take our drinks order. Unfortunately, no one brought them for another 40 minutes (there was a long list of orders), so a number of us got up and left. The restaurant owner should work on improving his staff's manners.

Had a super delicious meal and super service. Super friendly and interested in the customer. Real stars.

For starters, carpaccio that had way too much on it (very generous truffle mayonnaise, Amsterdam onions, gherkins, sun-dried tomatoes, arugula, pine nuts). Then the mixed grill, where the sparerib was missing, the steak was practically running off the plate, and the piece of pork was very dry. The raw vegetables looked like they came straight out of a bucket (ready-made). A shame... I had expected more; not worth repeating. The service was good, though.

If you come here to the beautiful terrace, make sure you have familiarized yourself in advance with the sections (parts of the terrace) assigned to the serving staff. If you sit outside the section of at least 3 staff members who are having a good time together, you will be completely ignored. Addressing this results in incomprehension (and also anger) from the male staff member: "I should have known that where my wife and I were sitting was not his section." Providing hospitality is clearly not a priority for this person! I ended by remarking that I adhere to an 8th virtue, namely: "I only open my wallet in the hospitality industry if I feel welcome!". SO NOT HERE!!!

Nice and cozy location, friendly and helpful staff, had a delicious meal and some drinks on the terrace.

Very meager onion soup without bread and butter, even though it was on the menu. Definitely not worth the money for what you get. Shame!

We were allowed to choose a spot. Unfortunately, we didn't get to eat after all, due to another very unfriendly waiter who shouted something after us in the middle of the room. He then felt that we should wait in a corner like little children, with fingers pointed at us, even though people who were leaving were already offering us a seat.

Cold soup and factory-made meatballs are way too expensive. Quality needs to improve for that price.

Had a lovely time sitting on the terrace and having lunch. Also saw many classic cars, boats, and motorcycles pass by.

Great food. It took a long time for someone to come to us, and even then, after repeatedly beckoning us. The atmosphere is good for a quick bite.

Bad experience. After asking for the ginger to be chopped finer in the tea, the tea glass was aggressively snatched away by the male waiter. We come here often, and the female waiters are always very friendly. I've never experienced such rudeness in a restaurant. The waiter refused to be challenged and apparently considered his behavior normal, so we left after repeatedly expressing our displeasure. The waiter then practically tried to push us out of the restaurant. Unheard of...sadly, no more Zevendeugden for us. There are more reports on Google about rude behavior...a shame, because it's otherwise a nice restaurant.

A charming and cozy restaurant, decorated in a classic Art Nouveau style. Delicious food, prepared quickly. Excellent, unobtrusive service. Everything about the room creates the impression of a classy establishment you'll want to return to. I definitely recommend it.

Beautiful! Helpful and friendly staff. The nacho sauce was unfortunately from a jar, which we don't really like, but the bar snacks were delicious! The ice cream is top quality (got from the special, beautiful parlor next door) and the coffee too.

Just before Christmas, we ate here during the Christmas market. The conservatory offers a lovely view outside. The atmosphere, decorated with Christmas decorations, was very cozy. Of course, we also had dinner. They have a fun menu with fish, meat, and vegetarian dishes. We chose Gnome Houses, Abraham's Favorite, and Mama Mia. For the main course, we had the Coalition Agreement and the Returning Highlight brought to our table. The food was delicious. No strong flavors, just standard fare. If you like spicy food, you might be a little disappointed. It's certainly suitable for the vast majority of people. We'll definitely go back because the menu still offers so many delicious options!

What a lovely surprise, after a bike ride, nice people and delicious ice cream! Nice terrace, just one small thing; They also sell “sour candy ice cream” there…. I don't know 🤷‍♂️ sounds a bit like pickles with chocolate spread🤫 It seems to be very popular, the very nice lady behind the counter told me.

Nice terrace in a nice location, a perfect place to people-watch. We came back especially for the Seven Virtues lunch, which we had eaten here before—a lunch platter with a lot of variety. It was delicious again.

Coffee and pastries at Happen en Trappen, a great selection, very clean! I chose apple pie with delicious whipped cream, a huge compliment! Beautiful location too, and friendly staff!

We arrived without a reservation on Sunday evening. There was plenty of room. Three vegetarian options were on the menu, which was fine. We opted for the pasta, which was delicious, but not warm enough when served. We also opted for the lasagna. It was warm, but the portion could have been a bit larger for the price. Nevertheless, the food was delicious. The restaurant is cozy and the service is friendly.

Simply fantastic. After a long bike ride, we each treated ourselves to two large beers and a tosti, ham, and cheese 😋🍺. Even the dog got fresh water and treats 😊 Super friendly service 👍

It took over 30 minutes until a waiter asked us, what we want to eat and I got a basic cold burger and mediocre fries with no dip.

Really delicious lunch at the 7 Deugden! The conservatory is the most beautiful place to sit. We chose a 7 Deugden lunch (from 2 persons): a cup of soup and a very well-filled and varied plank with four warm rolls per person. The pineapple smoothie was also very tasty. Choose your tea, you can choose from different flavors of fresh tea. We had to wait quite a while before someone came to ask what we wanted to drink, but we didn't find that annoying, we had all the time.

Been there often, celebrated a birthday and had lunch with a colleague every month for years and that says enough.

After 25 minutes we left the place, not bothered by staff. Quiet and cheap seating. In short, not served when leaving the place, thanked the young man from the service, to which he responded with "you're welcome and goodbye". No more 7 virtues for us for a while.

Made a reservation here for the anniversary four-course menu. Food was of good quality, tasty and varied. The entree was out of place, was a simple satay skewer, a bit of a shame. Other dishes were tasty. We had to wait a long time for the main course to arrive. The restaurant was fully occupied, but it was noticeable that other tables that ate a la carte received their dishes more quickly. Still a nice and cozy place to eat.

We ended up here by chance during a day out in Dalfsen. We chose the drinks platter together, and wow, it was so well filled! Not only was every bite delicious, but for us it was also the best drinks platter we have ever had. To this day we still talk about it, and we definitely plan to come back again!

Surprise menu for 25 euros, and you might think so, but so good and so much! Recommended

Ordered a lunch platter with tea and coffee for three people. Looked good. Soup, sandwiches, and various types of fillings and some savory snacks. It came with six cups of butter. After opening one, we saw that it contained green mold. So we went to look at the date. Four of six cups were expired (about another half month!) When we reported this, we first received a strange response, but later he returned that the tea had been removed from the bill. When paying, only half of the tea had been removed. Or € 3.00 deduction. When we wished them a nice day after paying, we received no response but the staff started chatting together. In the car we all had problems with our intestines.

Recently enjoyed the anniversary menu... Because I can't express it any other way. Every course was delicious.. Enjoy with a pencil ❤️🙏❤️ Definitely come again soon with my man.

The perfect location for vegetarians.

Croquettes were lukewarm instead of at a nice temperature (hence 4 stars). Beautiful view when you sit in the Conservatory and friendly and prompt service.

Came for a drink. The 1st came quickly, but ordering the 2nd took a very long time and the third was not delivered. Service walks by quickly without contacting the customers. Too bad, it's a nice location.

Nice spot on the corner near the bridge in Dalfsen. It is a busy traffic point so close to the bridge, but that should not spoil the fun of taking a break and enjoying a drink. We had a beer here with bitterballen. The ultimate holiday feeling 🍻

The food is always good and tasty. Met my love there 18 years ago. And we like to come back there on special days. The menu has largely remained the same over the years. Not the wait staff 😉.

We had made a reservation in advance. Unfortunately, the quiet spot that we know from previous visits was occupied at the time. When we entered, it turned out that this was indeed neatly indicated. But when we were welcomed, it turned out that our predecessors had already left and had exchanged the place they had initially reserved for us for this favorite! That's what I call customer service!!
