I've been coming here since I was about 4 years old. It was always a great playground. It's a shame they're selling it now. I hope the next one will continue it. I've been back to this playground again and again with my children, and now my grandchild. We've also attended a few family weddings here, which were always good. Good food, good service, and a great atmosphere. It's a shame I can't give 5 stars now because the playground needs some maintenance.

This afternoon I celebrated my 70th birthday at this nostalgic restaurant. This place is a childhood memory for me, as I went here a few times with family in the 1960s. It was the only outing I enjoyed during my younger years. I can still vividly remember the taste of the dark orange lemonade. The preparations for this party were incredibly enjoyable. There was plenty of room for small adjustments to the buffet. The appetizers were particularly well-received, and the service was impeccable. Kudos to you for taking such good care of us!

I stopped for shelter from the rain and ordered coffee and a hazelnut meringue cake. That cake was so delicious!!!! The presentation was lovely too.

We spent a whole day and a night at a travel conference. During the afternoon presentation, a bowl of nuts and pickled stems was placed on each table. At the morning presentation, everyone received a slice of currant bread with butter. So thoughtful! Dinner was truly delicious! A hearty vegetable soup (just like Grandma used to make) with a baguette, a large pork tenderloin in a cream sauce with fries, warm oven-baked vegetables (endive with cheese, broccoli, and lettuce), potato gratin, and a delicious dessert. It's unbelievable how much love was put into the preparation of the food. The venue and decor were a bit dated, but so what?

A fun, old-fashioned playground for young children. Plenty of play equipment and a reasonable entrance fee for children.

Large restaurant also used by coach tours (there was a group, but that didn't affect the wait time for your food). A warm welcome. Plenty of choice on the menu. The food was good, and the staff was friendly. They checked in with us several times to make sure everything was to our liking. Great value for money. Plenty of parking.

Great food, friendly staff. I did find it odd that as a paying guest, you also have to pay €3 per person to look at the Night Watch replica.

We stayed at the campsite, but it was a shame there were no dishwashing facilities, otherwise everything was fine. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant in the evening, with very friendly, hospitable, and experienced service.

A somewhat outdated restaurant where you can always go for a cup of coffee and something tasty.

Very nice meal with wife and son - friendly owner - very nice waitress - nice surroundings and a good atmosphere. The salmon fillet and the pork tenderloin skewers were perfect and very fresh.

Nice, extensive playground where children can play outside safely

You can just eat here. As the icing on the cake, visit the life-size night watch. With the pieces that have been cut off. View it from the balcony for a unique view of this masterpiece. It is also possible to play midget golf here

Great place. For children of all ages. I recommend for birthdays or individual for children. The only minus is the inflatable at the back somewhere and not in view on the playground and there is plenty of space.

Lovely old-fashioned playing outside with the grandchildren. With a small upgrade on admission, they received lemonade, fries and frikandel with ice cream and a bag of sweets for the way home... they and we had a great time.

Great no-nonsense restaurant, nice people, more than enough food. The restaurant itself does need some modernization.

The four of us ate during a fat bike ride, which was very tasty in beautiful surroundings.

This used to be my favourite playground as a child. I know it so long, that I know, that there once was a grocery store on site. The cafe-bar was a regular stop for many buses. Not only did they fence it in but they charge entry fees now. Gone is also a swimming pool, that they had erected there once and a pet zoo. What is left is non-smiling, quite grumpy staff. Not sure what happened here, but something is not right here. This could be a wonderful hang-out, but first the management must find its smile again.

We had a fun afternoon in the old-fashioned playground of Expo Madrid! For a small amount per child we were given access to the nostalgic playground. The playground itself is a collection of classic playground equipment that appeals to both young and old. The site is spacious and well maintained. As a parent you can enjoy the terrace without any worries while the children have fun. The playground offers plenty of shaded areas and benches to sit and relax. The staff were friendly and helpful. All in all, the old-fashioned playground of Expo Madrid is highly recommended. For a small amount per child you get access to a playground full of nostalgia and fun. We will definitely come back for even more fun!

During our cycling day we enjoyed a delicious cappuccino and apple pie here.

Restaurant Madrid is not modern but pleasant. Much can be arranged, for example ground meals. They did this so much fun that the clients really had the idea that they were eating a meatball in the shape of a meatball it was served. Care had been taken. We had agreed in advance what we were going to eat. It arrived on time and we were able to eat at the same time, which was nice. After a round of toilets we were spotless! You feel like we have continued our journey in the 80s. By the way, they also have a playground, which is useful if you have children and the weather is nice.

Nice play area for the children, some equipment can almost go to an open-air museum, but also newer, nicer equipment.

What a warm welcome from the owner. A bowl of nibbles with the drink made it extra festive. As usual, dinner was prepared with care and we had a fantastic meal again. Recommended!!

Nice in the spring sun. Ate two Madrid sandwiches. Very affordable and smooth operation. Sure, time has stood still a bit, but that also makes it fun! Honest catering industry and a cheerful owner who works just as hard. Nothing wrong with it!

Food is not bad, schnitzels not the best. Service is slow, only go if you are not thirsty and have a lot of time (read: patience).

We had a coffee stop here. We had a pensioner's trip from the Province of Overijssel.

I had a very strange experience here, we wanted to buy a mobile home, the owner of the campsite really needs to be renovated, people had renovated it nicely and it looked good, really very special, I don't want to buy anything here anymore, that's not how you treat people who have a pitch. This is how your campsite becomes a mess if you treat your customers like this, I therefore advise against this campsite because this is not normal!!! Kind regards, Joey

Have visited the Night Watch. Replica painted in original size by the artistic neighbor. Very nice!

I have honestly never eaten such a delicious schnitzel as here!! The salad and gratinated potatoes were also great! There is a lovely cozy atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. Toilets are neat and easily accessible and there is plenty of space to sit both inside and outside. Highly recommended!!

Excellent restaurant with playground, fun for children up to about 12 years old. Buffet was fine, some vegetables were missing, wide range of ice cream. Good service and friendly staff. Ample parking.

Educational to hear the story of the night watch. You should also hear this in the Rijksmuseum. Highly recommended.

Ee hadden een verjaardag met familie en vrienden. Eerst bij aankomst iedereen koffie met gebak. Daarna gezellig met iedereen gepraat en vrienden traden even op met een paar liedjes. Toen kwamen ze met de soep en stokbrood. Daarna warm en koud buffet met verschillende soorten vlees en patat en aardappeltjes uit de oven en heerlijke witlof schotel! Nou het eten was verrukkelijk en heel goed verzorgd. We hadden ook nog een nagerecht met 4 verschillende soorten ijs en verschillende pudding taarten. Iedereen was vol lof over het eten en de bediening was ook heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Just had a delicious and peaceful meal! Steak salad was varied and tasted very good. Hessel cut is also recommended. A lot for a reasonable price.

Ate two sandwiches. Were lukewarm and inedible. Burnt brown and bone dry. There was almost no ham or cheese. After eating, both my wife's and my mouths were raw.

A bit dated, but cheap and nice to sit on the terrace while the children play. Dinner is downright bad, steak is overdone gray without being asked, mushroom “sauce” is not a sauce but a pile of mushrooms. Lettuce with a strange pink dressing.

A real old-fashioned playground. Sons aged 4 and 10 had a great time. No automatic play things, they really have to set everything in motion themselves. Swings, slides, merry-go-rounds, etc. Also an area for smaller children. Entrance fee 4 euros, you can bring your own food and drinks. Or you pay 7.50 (supervisors free) and you also get fries and a mini snack...ranja...a rocket ice cream and a bag of sweets! Awesome! It was the summer holidays and pleasantly busy. I sat on the terrace for hours and after 3.5 hours I could barely get the children home. There are some things that need replacing, but for this price we had a really nice afternoon. Tip! Also great for a children's party!

Mooie overzichtelijke speeltuin. Heel geschikt om met kids en kleinkids te bezoeken. En met waterglijbaan, erg aantrekkelijk voor kinderen.

Super hyggeligt restaurant hvor man kan slå sig ned for en lækker kop kaffe og en god stykke kage. Værten er meget imødekommende og vil gerne fortælle den gode historie. Og det var en kæmpe oplevelse at se Nattevagten som er malet af naboen og den er super smukt. Alt i alt en sjov oplevelse og man slipper for en tur til Rijksmuseum for at se et Rembrandt maleri 😊

We hebben er cappucino met gebak besteld. Niets op aan te merken. Niet echt een bijzondere lokatie maar de mensen zijn aardig en de service is goed. Toch was het gezellig druk en je kan er goed parkeren.

Hier gezellig verjaardag gevierd. Kinderen konden heerlijk spelen. Het eten was prima en er werd keurig en vriendelijk rekening gehouden met dieeeten en allergieen.

Gezellig uitje op de fiets. Bij DE MADRID in Vilsteren bij Dalfsen, even wat gedronken en ook gelijk maar wat te eten besteld. Eenvoudig maar smaakvol. Lekker biertje erbij.

De speeltuin is een leuk. Genoeg plek op terras met grote parasols en ruim parkeerplek. Helaas qua bediening niet vriendelijk. (De jonge jongens deden wel hun best). Ik vroeg wat er van de menukaart lactosevrij was en ik kreeg een zucht van een dame en de mededeling nog iemand lactosevrij. Na meerdere vragen kreeg ik eindelijk duidelijk was lactosevrij was werd er verteld wij koken niet voor jullie. Behoorlijk brutaal werd er op mij gereageerd. Vermoedelijk omdat ze gedoe hadden met een andere klant. Er jammer want we komen hier al jaren. De kinderen mochten nog wat patatjes en frikandel en de volwassenen kregen niets meer.

En leuke middag gehad in de speeltuin. Met de klein kinderen .goed service van het terras van de speeltuin top hoor

Jammer dat de obers er niet zo veel zin meer in hebben. Heel mooi terras.

Dansavond. Gezellige zaal. Live muziek. Helemaal top!

Samen met een gezelschap van 4 ontzettend lekker gegeten, het drinken stond snel op tafel en het personeel geduldig en vriendelijk. De vrouwelijke serveerster heeft ontzettend haar best gedaan. Alleen de service verdient al 5 sterren, daarnaast nog het eten. Jammer dat ik geen 8 sterren kan geven! Hier kom ik zeker nog een keer terug.

Gezellig en vriendelijke bediening. Op een drukke dag gegeten en we zijn geweldig geholpen. Eten en drinken was heerlijk! Een aanrader!

Grote speeltuin voor kinderen tot jaar of 10. Vintage toestellen en vitage toegangsprijs.

This is where you can see the replica of Rembrandt's nightwatch. It is full sized (unlike the version in the Rijksmuseum). It was painted by an amateur artist who was dared by his wife to try and paint it. The delightful tale behind the painting is explained by dvd. We went for a coffee afterwards. Brilliant!

Gezellig terras, uitzicht op de midgetgolfbaan en achter het restaurant een mooie speeltuin. Heerlijke coupe sorbetijs, royale portie fruit eronder. Aanrader.

Startlocatie van een wandeltocht. In 50jr. niets veranderd. Maar het is er schoon en de koffie smaakt goed.

Heerlijke koffie met een zeer royale punt gebak. Verse aardbeien, echte slagroom! Mooie omgeving, vriendelijke bediening.
