Great location for a snack and drink on the go

A great location if you love trains. They regularly pass by your window. I came here to try out the nice benches from the NS (Dutch Railways) flagship. The benches are from the first version in 1985. They're very comfortable. I briefly felt like the "train man" Jiskefet. The service was smooth and friendly. I only had coffee and a forest fruit cheesecake. Unfortunately, I wasn't too impressed with it. Who knows, maybe I'll try dinner here sometime. I don't have time at the moment. Good luck, 2026!

A cozy place for young and old, conviviality is timeless there

The atmosphere was fantastic; we sat in those authentic old-fashioned train seats. So much fun! The atmosphere was also good, and what was especially important to me: a chef who was incredibly helpful in accommodating my intolerance. Very nice!

Gezzelig plekkie om te eten. We komen er regelmatig als we geen zin hebben om te koken. Kaart is niet suoer groot maar wat er op staat is meer dan voldoende en goed. Dus gewoon goede en lekkere hap. Voor een goede prijs.

Gezellig plekje met zicht over de rivier op het mooie Dalfsen, in de oude stations restauratie. De inrichting is gemaakt met veel oog op de details van de oude bestemming, zo zijn er zitjes gemaakt van oude trein banken, echt heel leuk gedaan. Super vlotte, gezellige bediening en de koffie met gebak was top.

Lovely place to have a beer or a nice meal. Friendly service. Handy to reserve a spot if you are sure of a place at a table. But you can also just eat at the bar.

There is a real need for a good manager for young employees.

We have been here 2 days in a row, both before and after our walks. A lovely place to sit on the terrace and the coffee and pastries were both excellent. What irritated us, however, is that every time, after a long wait, we went inside to ask if we could be served. It was also not possible to order at the bar. We had to wait for a staff member to come to the terrace. "Someone is coming to you" They really haven't managed that well here and that's a shame. We originally planned to have dinner here twice, but we decided against that for the reason mentioned earlier.

Vandaag weer eens langs geweest met 8 personen..vlotte bediening,misten de spareribs op de kaart(kwamen we eigenlijk voor) toch nog een lekkere keus kunnen maken.mooi aanbod van speciaal bieren..het was er druk zowel terras als restaurant.komen zeker terug.

Attractive place to relax for a while. Visited twice on the route between the open monuments to drink coffee and have lunch. Tasty sandwiches and ditto coffee.

I had come here yesterday to enjoy dinner. I came with my father, grandfather and grandmother. I thought the food was delicious, but the fries were too much. It also takes a bit long for our food to arrive. That's why we didn't feel like having dessert.

Building is beautiful but could use some attention. Smooth service people do need some guidance with catering knowledge. Food is fine!

Sit comfortably with a white beer on the terrace until the next Blauwnet train stops again towards Zwolle. It even took me a train ride longer because of the view and atmosphere.

It is a cozy place where you can eat from a small but good menu. You will also meet the locals of Dalfsen at the bar. I used to have to wait inside here for the train...a bit of nostalgia...beautiful.

Gave the maximum number of stars because the weather was excellent at Grand Café Het Oude Station. The table was set for us and the food arrived quickly. Wonderfully warm and delicious. We will definitely come again.

What a nice place to start your hike. You can take the train from Zwolle to this station and then start your walk after a good cup of coffee. The service is friendly and smooth. The pastries and coffee taste excellent. The terrace is adjacent to the track, but there are few trains, so I experienced no inconvenience. After the walk we ate a well-prepared spread. Tasty! So that's a good thing.

2de kerstdag hier gegeten, geweldig dat het mogelijk is om hier " gewoon " te eten op deze speciale dag. Eten van de kaart met wel 2 kerst toevoegingen, fijn te zien dat ze net als altijd ook open zijn voor bezoekers die een biertje komen drinken en aan treinreizigers. Loop er eens binnen en ervaar de gastvrijheid.

ideale lunch plek. goed eten goede bediening vriendelijke mensen. een aanrader. Ook handig als je met de trein bent :-)

Erge onderbezetting in de bediening. Na 30 minuten nog niet eens de menukaart gekregen erg vreemd. Dit aangegeven en dan krijg je te horen dat we ook niet gevraagd hebben om een menu kaart...de bal dus bij de klant neerleggen. We zijn weggegaan en komen hier niet meer!

Vriendelijk personeel. Lekker geluncht.

Vanavond hier gegeten. Of ik nog een uitsmijter kon bestellen? "Jazeker!" De uitsmijter werd snel gebracht en was lekker. Daarna op mijn telefoon dingen afgehandeld, totdat ik me na 45 minuten realiseerde dat mijn vuile bord nog steeds op tafel stond.

Rippchen waren ganz gut und das Schnitzel super. Das Kindermenü ist halt Standard TK Ware. Die Bedienung waren zu Beginn super schnell und freundlich, nach dem Essen wollten wir eigentlich noch sitzen bleiben aber würden iwie immer übersehen und konnten nichts mehr bestellen.

Ik heb hier zeer genoten. Kwam lekker een hapje eten, maar koos er al snel voor bij het café te gaan zitten het personeel was heel vriendelijk en stelde mij goed op mijn gemak. Nog nooit zo’n gezellige avond gehad!

Fantastische horeca gelegenheid. Top personeel en een geweldige chef in de keuken! De rondjes bier zijn niet aan t slepen, en toch houdt het vakkundige personeel ons tempo bij. De vaste gasten zorgen voor een geweldige sfeer. Een dikke aanrader!

Heerlijk gezeten, snel geholpen ook vooral! Zelfs zó snel geholpen dat ik niet eens wist dat ik alweer een nieuwe wou! ❤️

Fantastische tent, leuk personeel! Je hoeft maar een knikje te geven en de volgende koude kletser staat je alweer aan te loeren. Voordat je het weet zit je alweer in de dubbele getallen qua glazen. Afgelopen vrijdag geweest, en tot mijn verbazing was het verzoekjes avond. Wat is nou mooier dan een lekker biertje, vrienden om je heen en een mooi plaatje op de stereo.

Lekker kerst menu . Erg gezellig

De laatste jaren met een vriendengroep een wandeling en als afsluiting een heerlijk diner. Altijd op 1 van de kerstdagen, nu was het de 26e en ik moest werken maar kwam na afloop ook eten. We waren met 16 personen, best een grote groep en moesten tussen de gangen door een poosje wachten. Logisch want het was druk, maar het personeel bleef heel vriendelijk en vroeg geregeld of alles naar wens was. Aardappeltjes of patat werd gewoon aangevuld, in veel restaurants moet je daar extra voor betalen maar hier niet. Gemoedelijke en vriendelijke sfeer in dit restaurant. Collega vroeg waar ik ging eten.......bij het Oude Station? Kun je daar goed dineren?.....Prima, we komen er al jaren en ook 2e kerstdag hebben we er heerlijk gegeten, je komt niets tekort. Dus wie weet tot volgend jaar.

Dining is a treinstation? Yes! This ststion has a cosey, nice and relaxed restaurant. The food is good, and the thai soup is delious. A nice surpice :D

Wij hadden net onze trein gemist dus gingen hier even lunchen. Tafel werd netjes schoongemaakt. Eten kwam snel en was erg lekker. Vriendelijk en servicegerichte bediening. Ik zou hier zeker nog een keer terugkomen.

Altijd gezellig hier om wat te drinken of te eten. In de zomer is er een erg mooi terras! Een beetje prijzig qua eten, maar erg leuk!
