Club BLT crispy chicken way too spicy, especially for older people! Not listed on the menu? Pass it on to wait staff, they will pass it on. Otherwise, the meal was good.

Went there for lunch with my wife today; it was very busy, but we found a nice spot outside. The service was very fast and also very friendly, with a big smile. The food was also REALLY tasty; I had the BLT, which was really delicious and well-topped, not just stuffed on top and done. Full of flavor, and my wife had a fried egg sandwich. Really top-notch, so I just had to leave a review. Highly recommended for both the good and cheerful service and the food itself! Two big thumbs up 👍👍

Hi, I just wanted to share the following with you. I stopped by yesterday and met the staff. They were friendly and there was a really nice atmosphere yesterday. I was served by a charming girl with red hair at the bar. She really set the mood and put a smile on my face several times. It is definitely highly recommended and I will be coming back more often.

We are regular customers; today we ordered two lunch trios, resulting in cold soup, lukewarm croquettes, and a fried egg that I would not want to offer a customer. When we pointed this out, we were not taken seriously or spoken to by the person responsible. The soup was warmed up briefly after we reported it, though. It is a shame that no one felt responsible for this; for us, this was our last visit to the Old Market.

Had to wait a long time for food, more than an hour; it wasn't exactly busy, and I didn't hear an apology. The slice of bread was meager (good for 2/3 people, no more). The food was tasty, nothing special; nice that you got a nice salad with it.

The atmosphere on the square is pleasant, but that is about all there is to say. After waiting for 45 minutes, the food arrived, served cold! We returned the beef (30 euros) and they warmed it up. It was still inedible. The fish and chips were meager and the fish had very little flavor. I would recommend the Weerter Bazaar instead. Cheaper, faster, and better food, with the same atmosphere as the square. What a shame! We just grabbed a dessert at McDonald's. Prices are really high for what you get. The bill was presented without warning, even though the food wasn't very good.

Pleasant place to catch up or have lunch / dinner with a beautiful terrace

Last Friday, I went for lunch at the Oude Markt in Weert. This was another good experience. Friendly staff and the food was very good. I will visit this place again when I am in the area.

Great brasserie. Good smash burger. Fries a bit on the thick side, salad a bit modest. But the burger definitely makes up for it. I happened to be here on Carnival, without participating in Carnival. But the atmosphere was nice. Not overly excited or noisy, but there was singing together because it was someone's birthday. 😄

We had to wait at least 45 minutes for 4 toasted sandwiches for lunch! With a 4-year-old, grandparents, and rumbling stomachs, we were there. There was a large group inside, which is why it all took longer. They should have mentioned this beforehand when ordering. Unfortunately, with the 2 Croque Monsieurs without béchamel sauce, we weren't offered an alternative sauce. We should have thought about that ourselves, but they should have as well. We paid over €60 for the above and 4 drinks. Unfortunately, we definitely won't be returning.

It takes so long here. The staff is more focused on flirting with customers than on their work. A 30-minute wait for food. The staff is talking to customers about other customers. No, not recommended.

Tried “something” new, “brasserie D’oude Markt”, but not just “anything”. Lovely sitting on the terrace with a drink and a snack. Good atmosphere, friendly and professional staff. The dinner was very well presented and the taste was very good. Despite the crowds, fast service. Tried lunch the next day. Also definitely recommended! If you are in the area, definitely try D’oude Markt. You won’t regret it!

The pasta bolognese was really very good

Only had 1 drink. When the drink was just finished, we were immediately asked if we wanted anything else to drink. I think that's fantastic! That's what I call smart service, attentive staff. Keep it like that.

I was at the old market with two friends and it was great fun! Top service, I was even allowed to borrow a charger and the waitress was super duper nice, we had a great time!! 😋😁

Cozy spot in the center. Friendly staff. Food is a bit on the mediocre side (not very special), but excellent quality. We had a steak which was a bit too tough to really eat. Reported it to the staff and the young lady offered to have a new one made. We felt a little bad considering almost half had already been eaten. It was no problem, she said, and she had a new one made, which was nice and tender. Great service!!! In short: we recommend the Brasserie D'oude markt and thank them for their service.

Friendly staff and excellent service. Menu is a bit of a mix of dishes but it tasted good. Serving a chicken dish in a deep plate was a bit inconvenient. The portions were good.

Very busy but fast and good service

We sat here for lunch. Even though it was busy, you were not bothered by much noise. The food is very tasty, a pity that my tuna melt was not warm in some places. But it didn't detract from the taste. The sauvignon is also tasty here

Great afternoon on the terrace with a group. Really spoiled. Everything was taken care of in tip top condition. The food was also very tasty. Nothing came up short.

We are very regular guests at the old market for drinks and food. Now we were on the terrace on Saturday July 8 at 10 to 10, but were sent away by the waiter because otherwise, according to him, more people would sit down and then they would have a problem?? We left and won't be going there again for a while.

It was nice to visit the terrace when we were passing through. It's a pity that on a Friday evening the last round is recorded around 10 p.m.... Then it seems like the evening is just starting and you can leave already... This doesn't make it attractive to go out onto the terrace again. if you have to leave so early.

Nice place and that's what it seems aimed at. High prices for mediocre dishes. Vegetable soup with cheap meatballs and a little leek. Way too salty. Also very salty: pommodori soup. Waiter asked if we liked it but was not interested in our feedback.

Nice location, but the wait staff is so incredibly unfriendly. Very bad. So inhospitable, we almost didn't dare order a second wine, they looked at us like: Pfffff, what do you want, go home. If I had this kind of staff..., I would send them home immediately. We weren't the only ones to complain about this. Too bad for this great company. We won't be back!!!

Staff is not very friendly, otherwise the food was okay..

We were able to come here without a reservation on a Tuesday afternoon after a funeral with about 25 people. We were a bit chaotic with 2 children. The service was decent, if a bit inexperienced. The food tasted great; the quantities are somewhat on the small side.

Enjoy a nice bowl of soup...service is sometimes a bit dependent on who is just serving, no complaints, but some are friendlier than others and quicker to serve 😉👍👍

We stayed here during our weekend away. The atmosphere can be described as homely, warm and cozy (although it did help that there was also a wonderful Christmas atmosphere; just after the holidays) You look out over a beautiful and cozy square and with a mulled wine with liquor 43 you can spend hours here and then enjoy lunch or dinner......we enjoyed it!

Spontaneously arrived here on Boxing Day. The Weert surprise!! Quality: top!! Flavors: delicious! Staff: friendly and very hospitable! Menu & choice: very good Toilet: clean, tidy and smells great! All in all: very worthwhile to go back to Weert! Compliments!!!

Well, well...I was in the shop to buy something and by chance had a short conversation. An older lady comes in around 8:40 PM. Walks straight to behind the counter and scolds the always friendly employee, saying that she should have shown me the door because there is still plenty to do. Doesn't the shop close until 9 p.m.? Not normal 🤬

It was nice on the terrace, although we had to wait a long time for the food. But that could be due to staff shortages. The lunch was delicious by the way.

After half an hour, none of the 4 staff members notice that two people are smoking on the terrace and no one brings an ashtray, we were sitting on the walkway of the entrance. It's the little things and the sweet white wine is really not tasty!!

A nice terrace in the center of Weert. The menu is not too extensive, but the food is tasty. And also pay attention to the specials on the plates for lunch or dinner.

Beautiful terrace well located. Good plate presentation. The photo of the ham is sufficiently eloquent as to the quality of the products used. Such ham should never appear in a restaurant. 8.50 euros per sandwich!

Planned an early lunch with my wife due to a busy day schedule. We arrive at this terrace at 10.50. While we are still studying the menu, a few minutes after arrival we are told by a staff member that they only open at 11:00 and are not ready yet. No problem for us, we will wait a while: we understand. However, this was not the intention..... We are asked to leave because "otherwise the terrace will soon be full". Shame, nice experiences last time, but after this I would rather go to one of the many other places in Weert.

Even 1 star is too positive. Never before have we sat on a terrace somewhere and the staff sends us away because it is not officially open yet (it was still 10 minutes). That's why she hasn't finished setting up (the terrace was completely finished including a map and parasols), and she doesn't want more people to sit on the terrace.

Had a very nice time on both the beautiful terrace and later inside. Delicious meal, finished with a nice cup of coffee and tea. Very attentive staff, very helpful and friendly. Recommended.
