A few months ago, we were sitting inside as a couple, had soup after 2 hours but paid and left; nothing came. When we left, it finally clicked for an employee. Today, we ordered drinks on the terrace and waited; customers came, ordered, and left again, and we just kept waiting, but we got nothing. No more wasting time there.

I used to visit this place often during my Trespa days. Now I needed a spot for a brainstorming session including lunch. Well, it was more of a forest session right in the middle of the Weert woods, starting on the terrace. A super tasty lunch with attention to detail. Afterwards, we held a meeting in one of the meeting rooms. During the break, a delicious piece of flan from the top Weert bakery, De Vries. Top notch, a super meeting location here with a delicious lunch. We will add dinner next time. Thanks for the service

Looking for some coolness in the woods, we actually came for the familiar — and apparently *all* of the Netherlands had the same idea 😅. Overcrowded parking lots, queues, and crowds everywhere. So we spontaneously decided to make a detour to ’t Blaakven on the Geuzendijk. Best detour of the day! Arrived at 2:00 PM and immediately found a lovely spot in the shade. No stress, no queue for a table, just peace, space, and the sound of birds instead of squealing brakes in a parking lot 😄. There were more than enough parking spaces and the atmosphere felt relaxed right away, right in the middle of the greenery. The service was quick and friendly, but the moment they brought water and dog biscuits for our four-legged friend? Done. Won. That scores points. We also had a delicious meal!! Fried eggs and an Italian salad (with mozzarella and arugula, among other things). For anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle for a bit: this is highly recommended. Not only for locals who already know the secret spot, but also for everyone who prefers relaxing in the woods rather than standing in a queue waiting for a free seat.

Service is fine, food is good and plentiful. The building with the conservatory is beautiful, but the decor and atmosphere are rather plain. The terrace is fine but also lacks atmosphere. There is ample parking space.

Nothing special. It felt like I was at a coffee table due to the table arrangement, the weird wall in the other room, and the two waiting room armchairs. The food was very simple and unremarkable, but tasty. The service was very friendly; that certainly wasn't the problem. Unfortunately, not worth repeating.

Our little dog was allowed inside, everyone was friendly, it looked neat, and the wild mushroom soup is highly recommended. We had a delicious meal and it is definitely worth repeating after our walks in the woods!

A lovely place. The hamburgers we ordered for lunch were very tasty. The service was very friendly. This place is located about twenty minutes from the Roompot Weerterbergen holiday park, which makes it ideal to combine a walk and lunch. Highly recommended.

Went there with a social deal, nice location, only there were a few times when ordering food, which meant we had to wait a bit long, the owner apologized for the inconvenience and they are working on it, the food was good otherwise

We had a lovely Valentine's Day dinner on Saturday with 4 women and 4 men. We had a delicious meal in a pleasant atmosphere.

What a pleasant surprise! The lunch menu is limited, but of good quality. The dishes we tried were delicious, and the location is in a beautiful, wooded setting. The restaurant is clean, spacious, and exudes tranquility. Definitely a lovely spot for a relaxing lunch.

Eight people dined there on Friday night, and no one else was inside. Only the wine was good, otherwise it was a big disappointment.

Beautiful (very) peaceful location. I honestly wonder if the owner can sustain it. They deserve more guests/traffic. I've been there several times this season after/during walks through the beautiful nature reserve, and it was never really crowded, despite the beautiful location and friendly staff.

Our family coffee gathering was in the conservatory; a lovely, bright space. The coffee, pie, and drinks were excellent. The service was excellent, very friendly, and quick. A pleasant afternoon that we'd love to repeat!

We booked a table for six for our mother's birthday dinner. The welcome was perfect. The servers were very pleasant and helpful despite the language barrier. The meal was of very high quality. We had a lovely time in this beautiful establishment. If we have the opportunity to return to the area, we will definitely come back. A sure bet. Well done and thank you to the entire team.

Fantastic service! After wandering a bit too far into the beautiful surroundings, I received a warm welcome and was given my every need! Good hospitality professionals are rare, but you can still find them here!

We had a small room there. The food was plentiful and delicious. Unfortunately, there were also too few staff.

We had a delicious meal in a lovely location. There was even a separate area for the kids to play. A small menu with something for everyone, from burgers to fish and meat, and separate children's menus. Friendly staff, and everything was neat and clean. Prices and portions were excellent. We will definitely be back.

At 4:30 we asked if we could order a special beer with bitterballen. Bitterballen weren't available; the kitchen was closed?

Simply excellent: friendly service, excellent lunch dishes (although I'd prefer the bread to be different from what I eat at home) served on large platters so it doesn't fall off when you cut it (great!), and very reasonable prices. Overall, it was slightly above expectations.

We had a nice, simple lunch here on the terrace. A fried egg sandwich and a snack.

What a terrible restaurant! For the second time in a row, I was turned away on a Sunday because the kitchen couldn't handle a party and the restaurant couldn't handle the food. At least post a message on social media or the website; it would save a lot of unnecessary miles.

Situated between Weert and Budel, the shaded terrace of the Blaakven is a great stopover for coffee with excellent pie. We cannot yet judge the lunch dishes.

Not busy tonight. Which I actually like. But unfortunate for the owners because it's a nice place. Big room, like a living room, with play stuff that kept my kids (2 and 5) busy from the start to the end. Very friendly service. Could walk there from the Roompot park through a side exit. The food was good and plentiful. We had spare ribs (nicely glazed), chicken burger (crispy), amongst other things.

Glad Blaakven is open again! Too bad the waiting times are too long. Lack of staff? We were craving Nachos after a bike ride. That turned out to be a mistake, never had such a bad one before. It was because we were hungry, so we had the nachos and cheese, but the quacemole (at least that's what it was supposed to be) was a nasty, sour green mess. And the promised tomato salsa (according to the menu) was a dollop of sweet ketchup between the melted cheese. In our opinion, if you serve finger food, you should at least have napkins, but they were missing. Shame!!

Due to a shortage of hands, it took longer for the order to be taken and delivered. Very friendly service👌 They do their best to make you happy 🌸

Very disappointing and long waiting times! People indicate that they want feedback, but, especially the owner, is not receptive to it. The service is poor and inexperienced and lacks basic service skills. Simple things go wrong: cleaning the table, serving food when starter plates have not yet been removed, serving food when there is no cutlery. The served pasta with prawns was served with a tasteless sauce. In short, expectations are not met and a tip is to keep part of the terrace closed and try to improve the quality.

After being empty for a very long time, the brewery is back to life. Great location in the middle of nature and cycling routes. Good service good food. An asset for Weert! We wish the new owner the best of luck!

Restaurant looks great! We'll come back again to see what it's like once everyone has settled in. When we were there today, the pie was gone. That's why we had a drink. Unfortunately, after quite a long wait, the waitress came to tell us that it could not be made. It was too busy. Very sorry.
