Café Gotcha in Wijk 11 Weert-Centrum

The cone of fries was clearly not real potato fries. A tasteless starch bomb! The sticks, as the waitresses called our yakitori skewers, were unfortunately dry, tough, and burnt. We used to love coming here; think about it, never again. The beer smelled and tasted like butter, not exactly fresh.

Had an incredibly bad meal! Microwave food, and a flammküchen that was really gross and greasy, and didn't even look like a flammküchen. The waitstaff was chatting with everyone on the street and wasn't doing their job.

We were there for a drink and a shot. Nice place. Nicely decorated. Spacious layout. Friendly staff and the order arrives at the table reasonably quickly. We had the shot glass, and of course, not much can go wrong with that. It was fine.

A young waiter dropped things a few times. He dropped some "splatters" of beer all over my father. To which I jokingly replied, "Well, if it keeps going like this, you'd better go home early." (with a big smile and a wink) because that could happen. This young man spoke to me in a rather unpleasant way. No further apologies for the little accident. Too bad, man! Surely he should be able to take a very obvious joke. Unfortunately, the atmosphere changed immediately after that..

We stumbled into this cafe by chance—it was the only one open late in the evening. We only had a cocktail each, which turned out to be delicious.

NOT a good experience at Gotcha… The food took a very long time to arrive, both the starter and the main course. We had booked with a high chair, which wasn't ready, and the fact that we had a little girl with us wasn't taken into account in terms of the speed of the food or service. When we pointed this out, the staff scolded us in defense. Furthermore, the food was very bland to bad. One of the dishes was incorrectly served (we received a tournedos instead of a ribeye, which luckily was correct on the receipt), and the price-quality ratio was very poor. Very expensive for what we received, both in terms of size and quality. We ended up getting dessert elsewhere. It was simply not good.

The food is delicious and not boring. They've partitioned off the indoor dining area with a screen, which I find a little less inviting. The service is excellent. However, the acoustics are poor, and it's very noisy.

Price-quality very good. Excellent dishes, tasty and sufficient.

Tasty takeaway meals at a reasonable price. A snack board so big that it would almost kill two people to eat it.

Good service, various beers and drinks, delicious food. Had starter and main course, starter was delicious and well made, main course the same, music good and staff friendly. The waiter noticed that I didn't have enough fries on my plate and they politely asked if I wanted more, apparently I looked hungry, so I said that's fine, but they still brought a portion of fries, that's okay. shows character, but it's a shame about the tasty fries because I was quite full from the starter and therefore left them alone. Everywhere = Well done Gotcha! See you in Weert!

We were even informed of a cinema package, which means we will get some of the price of the tickets back.

Nice location, nice food and drinks.

Ordered spaghetti for our son. Sous was full of oil fat and had very spicy paste in it and was not al dente. During the night he had to surrender everything.

Too bad the food took a long time to arrive, so we couldn't eat dessert and were almost late for the movie

Service took a very long time. No one was at the table for more than 20 minutes, then I walked to the bar myself, then had to wait another 15 minutes before someone came to the table to take the order.

Always good, I go there at least once a month

Very positive upon arrival, we sit down and receive drinks quite quickly, and we are also asked whether the last round of snacks should be ordered. After that no one comes to ask if we want something to drink, etc., so after almost an hour with an empty glass we left. In the meantime, a number of people sat down at a table and no one came there, but they left after half an hour.

The price-quality ratio is quite okay, gotcha charges a very respectable price for specialty beers and snacks and it tastes excellent. The nachos were especially popular!

Last night we had a nice meal again and went to the movie. A spontaneous/friendly boy from the service (Ruben) helped us. He thought he had forgotten something with us, but he did everything very well. At our request we were given a quiet table on the other side of the restaurant. The Food and Film package is highly recommended. Have a nice meal and then go to the movies. For us this time it was the film Ant-man, wasp Quantumania.

Just go and you will thank me later! The staff și amazing,the food is very good and the prices are affordable.

Nice place to sit outside. Friendly staff too. But the cook is either an intern or a machinist, because he cannot cook. Half of it was cold and sometimes even half frozen, rice not cooked through, ingredients forgotten, tough bread that you needed a saw for, etc. A bit of a shame.

Had a nice portion of spareribs for a good price. Too bad that 0.25 Brand is already priced above 3 euros. Well... of course we had a hard time, but as a brewer I think this price is just 10% too high. Excellent place for a fun night out with food, drinks and possibly a movie!!

While age is a criteria for accessing cinema it is always a choice, based on appearance, supporting documents (not necessarely ID) to grant access in case there is doubt. In mine opinion in-house rules and guidelines are too strict creating a non friendly and even offensive environment. Last time I visited this place; the experience I had with my daughter of 18 trying to access a movie (16 years and older) showed me a hiding behind the rules attitude and a rude and customer unfriendly management.

Always a cozy café with a nice terrace (especially with the Christmas decorations in December). Even when it is busy you will be served quickly. The staff varies, some better than others. Communication between staff could also be improved. The drinks menu could be a bit more extensive, but what they have tastes great.

Cozy at the same time under the awning with a few useful drinks, with the mesh radiators on when you are ready. 😉

7 staff in the service, very young and only concerned with themselves, 8 tables occupied and then you have to inform them after about 5 minutes that there are no fries with the satay, they are still on the buffet.

Good food, not the best service. They chat more with each other than with the customers. Last time it took almost fifteen minutes for them to see me. When your glass is empty, you have to put in a lot of effort to get it filled again.

Service just good. Whether everything is to your liking, whether there is enough of everything... Wonderful, as it always should be. Menu is not particularly extensive but enough to choose from. Onion soup was delicious, tournedos (200 gr) beautifully tender and well prepared. Had a nice evening, recommended.
