Brasserie 'L' in Wijk 31 Altweerterheide

The restaurant looks very nice, both inside and out, and is situated in a beautiful location. Unfortunately, upon arrival for dinner, we (2 people) were ultimately turned away due to an unexpectedly large group (12 people). At first, we were told it would take a little longer, which wasn't a problem for us, but later it suddenly turned out to be impossible. Very disappointing and not a welcoming experience. I understand better now why there are so few reviews.

I wanted to go for a drink today around 2:00 PM at “the most beautiful terrace in Weert,” as they advertise it themselves. The terrace is indeed beautiful, but unfortunately, the customer friendliness and service provided by the staff leave much to be desired. It seems that the staff here do not work for their own benefit. We also had a less than satisfactory experience last year. When we went for dinner with a larger group after golfing, the service was also particularly difficult and far from what one would expect from a restaurant. In the hope that the person in charge of the establishment takes note of the less positive customer experiences and might be able to do something about it, I took the trouble to write a review this time. From the very first moment, I felt like I was being treated more like a burden than a customer. Several tables were marked as “reserved.” We politely asked if we could use one of these tables for just half an hour, but that turned out to be absolutely impossible. Additionally, there was enough room to move a table that was currently in full sun into the shade. However, there appeared to be little willingness to do so there as well. When I asked a second time, still politely, if there really was no possibility of accommodating us somewhat, we were simply ignored by two staff members. They literally turned away as if we didn't exist. In the end, we just left without consuming anything. It is a shame, because the terrace is truly beautiful and has everything it takes to be a fantastic place. However, with a bit more customer friendliness, politeness, and willingness, our experience could have turned out completely differently.

Best Dutch tarts! The staff were very helpful and polite and all the food we had was tasty. They allowed us to bring our dog in too.

Beautiful location and delicious food; the Christmas dinner is highly recommended, but a nice lunch on the terrace or the theme nights (Italian night) are also great!

On Christmas Day, six of us enjoyed an excellent dinner. We were seated in a cozy room, and, importantly, the service was excellent. Highly recommended!

Because it's located on a golf club and the entrance is quite posh, I was hesitant to just pop in for lunch. But there's no need at all. The staff were super friendly, the lunch was good and affordable, and the location is fantastic. Highly recommended.

The food was delicious and the service was friendly. However, they could have been a bit more considerate of guests with reservations. We arrived as a surprise, even though we had a reservation. Nevertheless, we had a lovely evening.

Received in a beautiful restaurant, very atmospheric and sincere “Dinner with a view!” Start with an aperitif at the open fire. We opted for the 6 course menu. WOW 🤩 delicious flavors with matching wines made it a great experience. Too bad it wasn't that busy, because this is a restaurant you MUST visit!! We will definitely come back again! Cheers!

Breakfast was not ok. butter was gone Sina's was not added filled, for the second cup of coffee I had to go to the kitchen to ask.

It's a shame that there are no real vegetarian or vegan options in terms of food. The 3 soups offered are all non-vegetarian.

Heard about Laurius through the grapevine and ate here last week. All ingredients of the dishes are wonderfully balanced and very tasty. The friendly lady at the counter provided us with a pleasant evening in beautiful surroundings.
