Brasserie Goede Buren in Wijk 00 Buren

We waited 20 minutes before being served. Our waiter was well past retirement age and was serving in sweatpants and a fleece sweater. When we asked if a mocktail was available, we had to double-check. A mocktail was available, but it was served in a "Fuzetea" glass and looked like a glass of poured lemonade—no ice, no decorations, nothing at all. My wife's wine was poured by someone with a rather unpleasant body odor. At a restaurant where a starter costs 17 euros, you don't expect a menu with slipcovers and printed A4 sheets. After 40 minutes, we were finally able to order. A good hour after arriving, our food arrived, but my order for the Canard l'Orange hadn't gone through correctly. I received a satay instead. So I sent everything back, and we heard a lot of yelling and cursing from the kitchen. I felt sorry for the wait staff, so I went to the kitchen to eat the satay. But even that satay was better than I'd had at a snack bar. Three skewers, a small handful of fries, and even less dry lettuce. The meat was dry and full of tendons. My wife had a burger with a bun as dry as a sheet of cardboard. We had the feeling they were understaffed that evening and had just pulled some people in. They finished 6th in Gelderland on Dining with the Stars with 9.22 points, but I wonder how they managed to achieve that. We were really looking forward to a nice bistro dinner, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointment.

After repeatedly contacting my 17-year-old sister, who still owes over €1,000 in wages, I'm blocked by owner Wilma. She works hard for her money and is told they need people to help her up, not down. It's incredibly unprofessional. It was supposed to be resolved two days ago, but nothing has been resolved yet. I still haven't received any wages, but I'm looking for new staff, while my current staff aren't being paid.

Yesterday I stood in front of a closed door despite the information on the website that the Brasserie would be open.

Saturday evening, November 29, 2025, we had a stamppot buffet at this restaurant with the Jeu de Boules club. They should have anticipated such a large group of 23 people, but there wasn't enough food, especially not for the last six people who went through the buffet. The food was lukewarm to almost cold. In short, it was simply awful. There were no meatballs left, and the smoked sausage was simply cold. Napkins, cozy candles, lights, or flowers were missing from the table. The staff denied that the food was lukewarm to cold and brought in some kale from the kitchen to compensate. Very unfortunate and disappointing. I've never experienced this before. I won't be eating here again.

Two-thirds of the menu was unavailable for ordering. The fries were so ridiculously bad, as if they were there for the fourth time. Then I got a salad, a small plate for four people. Not good value for money. The service was professional and pleasant!

Very nice young women who served good coffee. The toasted sandwiches were also excellent.

Don't book here later than that. 7:45 PM or so is apparently too late. Then you get a call after your reservation confirmation email asking if you can't come earlier. If you can't or don't want to, the tone changes. The reason was that staff had to stay longer. "???" Seems like a normal dinner time to me. Their website says opening time until after 10:00 PM. You don't feel welcome then. I canceled verbally, but no confirmation email. I cancelled through the website myself. Then you get a call from another staff member asking why you cancelled. Strange, internal communication isn't very good there either.

Terrible! It's been a long time since we've had such a terrible meal. We should have known better at the aperitif...it was already a beer issue here. We were the only ones in the restaurant, and yet it took 45 minutes for the starter to arrive. A bread board for two...tasteless herb butter and three johma salads in a small bowl. Eight small pieces of baguette were included...nothing artisanal about it, as they suggest. Two individual croquettes on a deep plate on some shreds of iceberg lettuce. Bland cheese croquettes, and presented without care. Then the main courses...the menu states that all main courses come with vegetables, salad, and applesauce...but unfortunately, not with the fish. This isn't mentioned anywhere, and you only find out after asking...the sole was otherwise fine, but we doubt whether it was fried in butter. The pork tenderloin had a tasteless, watery mushroom cream sauce... the vegetables and mini mashed potatoes were already cold when it arrived. The plate itself hadn't been preheated. The same was true for the duck, which was unfortunately still overcooked. All in all, very disappointing, and it's understandable that the restaurant is empty.

A restaurant with potential, but it still needs some work. Nice young staff. Unfortunately, there are still some mistakes. Why not offer homemade sourdough bread instead of that boring (white) baguette with the bread board? Poor purchasing policy; tournedos and sirloin steak were unfortunately not available; they were on the limited menu, with tasty dishes. They do sell wine pairings, but when we arrived for dessert, we were told, "Sorry, the dessert wine is gone." The proper (meat) knife on the cutlery wasn't placed with the sharp side facing inwards. Fries and salad didn't arrive until more than 10 minutes after the main course. In short, a restaurant with potential, but it still needs some work.

Beautiful location. Closed tonight (Thursday), even though the website indicated they were open.

After a long walk with our dogs, we settled down on the terrace. As always, the staff were (dog-)friendly. Compliments for the delicious homemade soup (finally, a chef who knows how to make it not too salty). Delicious, crispy homemade apple pie with good coffee and cookies for the dog.

We keep coming back here because the service is so friendly and helpful. Kudos to the service! 🥳

Delicious food, great service, and super cold beer. Highly recommended if you're in Buren.

Closed upon arrival. A reservation for a (birthday) dinner was made and confirmed on August 4th. The staff member we spoke with only said they had already cleaned that afternoon... No apology or attempt to resolve the issue. They won't be seeing us there again! What awful neighbors!

We were here today (Monday) for lunch, having no other choice since nothing else is open on Mondays in Buren. The service was friendly, but if you're so understaffed, you shouldn't be open on Mondays. Or adjust the menu, that would be an option. I've never had to wait so long for my order (over an hour). The croquette tasted bland, and the fried eggs didn't have any salt or pepper, and neither was it on the table. No offense to the wait staff, but this is mainly a case of poor management.

The four of us, including two young children, sat on the terrace and enjoyed a delicious appetizer platter. The service was very friendly and even helped us with a vegetarian option. We came from Almelo specifically for our friends, and we're happy to recommend this place to other customers.

The restaurant looks nice, but that's about it. The service wasn't good, everything took ages. And the food... if you're a vegetarian, I would definitely stay away. And that price for a goat cheese salad!! Some iceberg lettuce, chunks of goat cheese, and a little honey on top—I wouldn't even dare make that at home, it's so meager. Let alone pay almost €30 for it.

The wait staff was very friendly, but the lunch was very poor. We ordered a salmon sandwich, which arrived after waiting almost an hour. The cheese was cold and not melted. The bread was barely crispy. Not recommended, and other guests also had to wait a long time for their orders.

Via website tafel gereserveerd. Jongedame van de bediening leuk maar had bijvoorbeeld nog nooit van Martini gehoord; nieuw, onbekwaam en nauwelijks ingewerkt. Wij kozen de gelegenheid speciaal voor een verjaardag en dus de dinerlunch. Deze staat uitgebreid op de site en op de kaart maar bleek na uitgebreid overleg niet leverbaar te zijn, de ingrediënten waren niet op voorraad, voornoemde jongedame had er zelfs nog nooit van gehoord. Teleurgesteld afgedropen; moesten uiteraard wel de twee apéritiefjes betalen. ( tja, als je geen dinerlunch kunt serveren dan maar als goedkope kroeg….) NIET DOEN!!!

First time here, but also the last. The chairs on the terrace were too low for the table, the staff was hard to spot, and they wore football shirts... and liked to talk about themselves. The wine was served in a glass that looked like a fishbowl; there was way too much wine, and the appetizers were absolutely tasteless and poured straight from the fryer into the bowl... a lot of grease on the plate. It was just put on the table, not even a tasty meal... Never again.

A cozy restaurant where attention is paid to the presentation of the food, whether it is a sandwich or dinner.

Om 17:30 uur aankomst, ruim een kwartier later kwam er eens iemand vragen of we iets drinken wilden. De bestelling voor het eten werd redelijk snel opgenomen, maar om 19:00 uur maar eens gevraagd waar het eten bleef. Er kwam excuus dat het zo lang duurde omdat er een kok ziek naar huis was. Om 19:25 uur nog maar eens gevraagd waar het bleef. Toen moest er nog aan begonnen worden. We zijn weggegaan met als enige genoegdoening dat we onze drankjes niet hoefden te betalen. Als ik de andere reviews hier zo lees is er sprake van een structureel probleem en ligt het niet aan een zieke kok, maar aan slechte bedrijfsvoering.

We sat on the dull terrace with five people. The service was friendly but didn't know what was on the menu. The portion of appetizers was below par and tasted stale. They didn't have mustard, but instead offered us honey mustard oil. 🤣 Beautiful location, but it's a bit too much. Too bad!

We had a sirloin steak and a pork tenderloin, which were truly excellent quality and delicious! Definitely recommended.

What a nice place. It rained a lot, but inside it was dry and cozy. The food was good. Not necessarily something special. But we will definitely come back

Super tasty apple pie! Recommended!

Een gezellig etentje werd het niet: na een uur werd de maaltijd geserveerd. De serveerster was gestrest en niet bepaald vriendelijk, het vlees was niet warm en de servetten ontbraken. Er werd routinematig gevraagd, of alles naar wens was, maar er werd niet geluisterd naar onze antwoorden (waarschijnlijk geen tijd voor). Wij hadden ons iets anders voorgesteld....

Well, three quarters of an hour waiting for a warm ham sandwich. And then you get a sandwich with a slice of ham on it that isn't even warm. Sandwich folded in half and that was comparable to a ham sandwich at a local football club. The lettuce that was next to it was also nothing special. The owner has work to do here. The waitresses tried to make something of it but several customers were not entirely happy.

Helaas geen reviews gelezen van tevoren . Met 2 personen op het terras geluncht. Supertoast van de chefkok besteld met ham, hamburger, kaas en tomaat. De supertoast bestond uit 2 zompige sneetjes brood. De ham zat er niet op en de hamburger was flinterdun . Het bord was opgesierd met 3 mini schijfjes komkommer en een halve cherrytomaat. Het geheel was smakeloos en te duur.

Vanmiddag een miezerige geitenkaas salade (€ 16,-!!) 'genoten' (gemengde sla met versgebakken (?) bollen geitenkaas). Drijfnatte salade, zonder passie gemaakt. Teruggestuurd. De voor die prijs veels te kleine salade bestond uit wat blaadjes ijsbergsla, geraspte worteltjes en wat verkruimelde geitenkaas. Schande dat de kok dit heeft laten uitserveren. Had te doen met de vriendelijke serveersters. Na mijn klacht wel nieuwe gekregen. Verschil dat deze niet meer drijfnat was.

Went here today without reading the reviews beforehand. We should have done that. We arrived around lunchtime and decided to order a salad (with chicken). What was served was a completely unimaginative plate with a layer of iceberg lettuce, a few pieces of chicken, 2 cherry tomatoes and 3 slices of cucumber. The most pathetic salad I have ever seen and how dare you as a restaurant charge more than €15 for it?! We sent it back and got complete understanding from the (otherwise very nice) staff. That solved it, but you can't seriously serve this to guests in a restaurant? After our drink we left and after reading the reviews bad and overpriced food here is apparently not an exception.

Never eaten so badly!!!! We even got really SICK from the rotten food with the entire group I was with. We let them know the next day. No apologies but a big mouth I got back… We heard through the grapevine that the staff had to give good reviews under a different name to still attract tourists via Google. If they think that is the solution… In short, NEVER go here. Or only if you want to get really sick. Too bad for the beautiful town of Buren.

There was absolutely no love in the food, it was not special and not really well prepared. Paid €27.50 for the vegetarian asparagus as a main course, where you get exactly 2(!!?) asparagus.... Answer to the restaurant's response: I have no idea what you are talking about, maybe you are confusing us with another customer? We were the group of 6 that was inside, and you did not offer us any other option? Moreover, my uncle gave a big tip, because the staff seemed to do their best, so what do you mean by saying that we did not pay for something? What a strange and rude response.

The meal salad with beef strips was unimaginative and tasteless. Plate of iceberg lettuce with some raw vegetables. 7 pieces of beef without taste. Disappointing for €17,-

on a rainy Tuesday evening to this restaurant. Bread board consisted of pieces of baguette with tasteless herb butter and 3 containers of Johma salads. Ordering the dishes: Tournedos, that was gone, then an Entrecote, oh sorry that is also gone. Starter Prawns in garlic cream sauce, Prawns fine garlic sauce tasty but not really suitable for Prawns, nice garlic oil would go better. Beef strips with red port sauce, 3 strips with a tasteless wilted lettuce. Sole was fine, pappilot of sea bass was supposed to be with asparagus, but were not on the plate. Pork tenderloin was fried too long and dry. Service did not know the menu and did not see the work either, no attention for the guests. Price quality completely out of proportion.

Locatie is geweldig, ook een mooi terras buiten. Bediening is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Mijn dochter en ik vroegen naar het vegetarische menu: asperges! Tot onze grote verbazing kregen we 2! asperges op ons bord. En dat voor 27,50!! Weliswaar zat er wat salade bij, maar dat kon onze teleurstelling niet drukken. Ook de entrecote van onze tafelheren bleek niet gegrild te zijn, wat op de kaart stond, maar voorgegaard. Echt jammer van zo’n gezellige zaak.

Geweldig verjaardags feestje gevierd bij “Goede Buren” in Buren. Heerlijk geluncht met onze kinderen , kleinkinderen, familie en vrienden. Asperge soep, stokbrood met smaakvolle smeersels, broodjes met kroket, eiersalade, beenham grillworst. IJs en yoghurt met slagroom aardbeien. Kleinkinderen friet en wat lekkers erbij. Wij voelde ons welkom en verwend. Professioneel en vriendelijk personeel. Hans en Wilma bedankt en wij wensen jullie veel succes in de toekomst. Wij hebben genoten. Groet Fred en Trix

They have THE BEST omelets! (Try the “Goede Buren 3 egg Omelet) Stopped in for an early lunch and finished my meal off with the perfect cappuccino.👌 DEFINITELY don’t miss this spot when visiting the area. It’s beautiful and the staff is beyond friendly.

Best place to go in this quiet, tiny town!! It’s GORGEOUS dining area and the staff is so friendly too!

I dined here quite often during my time in the Betuwe. This place does an excellent job of making you feel at home, as well as offering a nice selection of wine as well as a thoughtful, well planned menu boasting offerings you’ll be hard pressed to elsewhere! I highly recommend booking a reservation for a wonderful evening dining out with a good friend or loved one. It you’re looking for a more casual, relaxed atmosphere to enjoy midday lunch, coffee with a friend, or simply a good book and a latte or two, this is the place! Bravo, Goede Buren! 👌 Thank you for all of the lovely memories made here over a perfectly foamed cappuccino!

Excellent service. Delicious food. Dining here was the highlight of our trip abroad. I will definitely return when visiting the Netherlands again in the Fall. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Was here for lunch. We had sole but white bread instead of the brown bread we requested, the lettuce was brown on the edges, no plate for the bones and no napkins, which I asked for twice. Our drink was also forgotten. When I asked about it inside, it still took a long time before it arrived, the food was almost gone. When paying, the price turned out to be completely different from the menu... yes, it had not been adjusted yet. I ended up paying what was on the menu. Absolutely not recommended!!!!

I would love to tell you what I thought, but the day we were supposed to come we found an email saying that our reservation had been canceled because we didn't show up. Called the business, knew nothing but reported that they were closed that day (May 4, understandable in itself). But please call instead of canceling via email with a stupid excuse.

Lekker gegeten. Vriendelijke eigenaar en personeel. Eigenaar is zeker betrokken. Voorgerechten en hoofdgerechten smakelijk.

After waiting 1 hour and 10 minutes for 2 salads, I had already seen orders go wrong at two nearby tables. After 45 minutes of asking where our order was, it turned out that we were now the first to be served. 20 minutes later, people who arrived much later than us received their food, but we still did not. I even left without paying for our drinks and they understood that. That doesn't make any sense there!!

Never eat here. Went here yesterday with friends. Dry wine was ordered. Sweets were served. After we ordered, they came again after 20 minutes to take the order because it had not gone through. Then after an hour and a half of waiting we still didn't have our food. We then went to eat somewhere else. More people had already left.

Reserved for lunch on Easter Sunday. Upon arrival you appear to have to eat the Easter buffet of €35(!). This consists of a sad little buffet and some sandwiches. Not yet a croissant, egg or Easter bread in sight. Several guests were visibly displeased. Ultimately, a la carte is still possible upon request. There is one young girl serving with little experience, the presumed owner is sitting inside behind a laptop while more staff are desperately needed outside, the entire terrace is sitting with empty glasses. Why doesn't he jump in? Food of a very average standard and yet expensive. Omelet is requested without ham and bacon and yet served with ham and bacon… It's a shame that such a top spot is run so poorly.

Vanavond gegeten bij de goede buren. Maar hier komen we niet nog een keer. 3 tafels zijn vertrokken omdat het eten zo lang duurde. Wij kregen wel ons eten, maar het hoofdgerecht was vergeten. Organisatie moet eens opnieuw worden bekeken. Wijn was wel lekker, pieterman visje met zeekraal ook. Maar de andere 3 gerechten waren matig. Gek hoorntje met roomkaas had een afwijkende smaak, broodsmeersel en zalmtartaar was aangemaakt met teveel mayonaise, eend was te hard gebakken met korst (maar die waren ze dus ook vergeten) en geen echte vanille in vanille ijs, panna cotta daarbij ook te veel gelatine. Fouten van de keuken moesten allen goedgemaakt worden door de serveerster die goed haar best deed.

Als je absoluut GEEN haast hebt dan zou je kunnen bedenken om er te gaan eten. Maar ik zou het niet nog een keer doen. Zelf om lunchkaart moeten vragen. Ober tot 2x toe gevraagd wat het drinken moest zijn. Lunch opgenomen maar kwam terug dat de kroketten op waren. Bediening heeft geen oog voor de klanten. Jammer. En nog erger is dat er een tweetal in de bediening staan die alleen Engels verstaan.

Had lunch this afternoon, super bad! Lunch good neighbors for 17 euros, you get a slice with croquette and a slice with fried egg with a thin slice of fried ham, oh yes, a few more lettuce leaves. Can't eat, a huge mockery! And extremely expensive. The staff especially enjoy themselves at the bar, no, this is really bad! Don't come again!

Long wait for drinks, even longer wait for food. The order is delivered incorrectly. Service staff constantly have to go back into the building because they don't know what and who the order is for. There is no indication that it will take over 45 minutes. No cutlery for hot food. Fried egg bread is ok. The salad with beef strips for €17 is some rocket, a few pepper pieces in a soup bowl and a little thin meat. No bread or baguette, which is what you would actually expect.

We had a delicious dinner here! Everything was of high quality, with surprising and creative dishes. I recommend going on a Friday or Saturday, because then the owner/chef himself is there – and that really adds to the experience. The chef comes up with his own creations and personally explained each course, including which regional products he uses. We had the three-course menu and also received a delicious sandwich with spread beforehand. I don't drink alcohol myself, but the people next to us were very enthusiastic about the wine. Keep in mind that dining here takes a little longer: on average about an hour per course. I thought it was a unique experience!

A lunch offered by my sister, after a nice walk in Buren with Daan Schuurman. When we arrived at the restaurant, we sat at the table where there were signs with the number of stars 🌟. The restaurant has had a good score for 3 years. I can be very brief about it. My salad of beef strips was round, consisting of only 3 cut cherry tomatoes, an upside-down bag of lettuce 🥬 and 10 beef strips that were not nice and tender. My sister had more luck, lunch good neighbors. I was very disappointed 😢. Paid a lot of money for something that was very disappointing. Not recommended

How bad can you start a business. A terrace full of people around empty tables. A single waitress who can't handle the job. She has to work with pieces of paper and without table numbers. Payment can only be made in cash because they do not have internet. They don't have change either. Waited 45 minutes for a few drinks. When asked, it turns out that the new owner is in the coffee shop. She has no idea what is going on in her tent. When this is pointed out to her, her only defense is 'I wouldn't even be here'. Apparently the lady bought a toy and knows nothing about catering. Poor staff.

Don't do it on Monday. They don't understand anything about catering. They call 16 people busy with 3 people on staff. No organization at all.

Vandaag geprobeerd hier te lunchen. Het was er niet heel druk. Na 20 minuten nog geen kaart. Zelf kaart gevraagd. Na 35 minuten lunch en drankje bestelt. Na 50 minuten nog niets gehad. Tafel naast ons zat al 1,5 uur op luncht te wachten. Bij navraag in de keuken moest de kok er nog aan beginnen. Zij besloten te vertrekken waarp wij bij de bediening aangaven ook te willen vertrekken. Vonden ze eigenlijk wel een goed plan kregen nog het advies om het bij de Italiaan of bij Della Contessa te proberen. Heel bijzonder als het personeel, dat overigens aardig was, je doorverwijst naar een ander zonder je te willen behouden. Kortom klein uurtje na binnenkomst vertrokken zonder drankje of lunch. Vreemde ervaring en zeker geen aanrader.

This is the first time in my life that I am doing a review. The lady at the counter tried very hard, she had no experience at all and she was thrown into the deep end. Where there was no guidance at all. In addition, half of the range was out of stock. Then we were the only table and the sauce of our food was cold. The fries were rock hard and we ordered 2 tournedos, both of which had a large tendon in them, which was very disappointing. But the biggest disappointment came when we got the bill. Because we had to pay no less than €330 for 4 people. That is completely out of proportion to what was served. The decoration of the restaurant is very beautiful. It's a shame that the kitchen and service didn't know what they were doing at all.

Had dinner with my better neighbors at Brasserie Goede Buren. Unfortunately, they don't live up to their name. The service, no matter how hard she tried, was worthless. The food was mediocre, lukewarm or cold and tasteless. A tenderloin with 'sin' is really not possible! Half of the card was out of stock, so why is it on the card? Brasserie is not the right name for this place, they pretend to be a chic restaurant, and the price matches that. 338 euros for lukewarm meat, tasteless vegetables and fries with which you could nail a painting to the wall???? Happy to pay for good food, but there are limits. To make matters worse, the best people do not have their internet and cash register system in order, so paying is also a problem.... Sorry, but absolutely not recommended, on the contrary.

I never really write reviews, but this cafe was so disappointing that I can't resist. The appearance of the café is beautiful, I must admit. But everything else went wrong. When we entered the music was way too loud, which immediately made the atmosphere less pleasant. Then it took a very long time before we were helped. Fortunately the coffee was tasty, but that was one of the few positives. Before lunch all the brown bread was gone, so we could only have white bread. We were the only table in the brasserie but the wait for lunch took more than half an hour. Sloppy in itself, but my carpaccio sandwich was a complete mockery: the carpaccio was hard to find, and that for €14! The rest of the food was also nothing special and quite expensive. To make matters worse, we ran out of ginger for our ginger tea, and our drinks were forgotten several times. When we spoke to the staff about this, they indicated that it was all up to 'the boss', but in the meantime three employees were mainly chatting with each other, with their backs to the guests, enjoying their own chocolate milk with whipped cream and busy with Snapchat on their phones. Not really a professional impression. To top it off, the bill was also incorrect afterwards. Truly a missed opportunity. I definitely won't be coming here again.

Service was busy with other things. The card was from the previous branch and was no longer correct. Mixed snacks, 12 pieces, are 4 bitterballen and 8 balls with inexplicable filling. Thick webs everywhere in the corners. The toilet lock was loose. Worn dirty floor and walls but ultra modern mirror with advertising. Waitress had poor mental arithmetic. We saw more problems with checkout with other customers. They have just moved to that location so I sincerely hope that a lot will change before the tourist season starts!

Very bad! Just new owners. Management is “lost”, inexperienced and has no overview. Prices on the wine list do not match what they charge. Food is of poor quality and the hamburger was raw. Customers started clearing tables themselves, because no one took on this task. 1 star is really too much!

The food was of excellent quality and tasted good, but the garnish was missing. Only a piece of meat or fish on your plate is a shame. We were also not informed in advance that there were no vegetables or similar in stock. Service was sad, 3 people for a 19 place setting and yet with the wrong plates at the table, drinks order that took 20 minutes, and main courses not served at the same time. The intention and quality are excellent, the execution is unfortunately substandard.

Never been served such bad food before. Cold white hamburger on bread with a slice of cheese on top that had slightly melted. Because it was returned cold then it was warmed up . Unbelievably bad. After an hour we left after another special experience. Too bad to start your restaurant like this for us once but never again!

Opened on Friday from 1:00 PM and then not welcome at 3:15 PM. There was no 'sorry' left. Never again.

De gerechten zijn op Frans/Belgisch bistro stijl geïnspireerd. De inrichting is knus oubollig. Als achtergrondmuziek Franse chansons, Een interieur met doorleefde geur en plastic bloemen op tafel. Een gezellig restaurantje als je van ‘ouderwetse’ bistro stijl houdt.

Sunday 25-08-2024 after a day of wine tasting in Buren, we ate at Goede Buren. For me and my wife (32 years old) I can finally eat nostalgically and taste what was normal in the 80s, which is now almost impossible to get. We were able to eat a varied meal. Ordered Chateaubriand which was flambéed at the table, meat well cooked, tenderness perfect and Chef Hans also told us where the meat came from, beautiful story. For people who want to go back in time and want a culinary evening, I say, give it a try, of course with a good glass of red wine!

De storytelling rond het restaurant is charmant. De prijs op de menukaart schept een hogere verwachting dan gekregen; Kleine porties, weinig groenten (wel frietjes en salade). Huiswijn wordt per cm. verkocht, terwijl we om twee glazen vroegen. De glazen werden voor ons ingeschonken. Bleek naar meting de halve fles te zijn?! De totale prijs is totaal niet in verhouding van de kwaliteit van de gerechten.

Vreselijke avond. Matig eten oude slecht verzorgde ambiance prijs kwaliteit in geen enkele verhouding. Slechte reviews worden verwijderd

Per ongeluk eind van de middag hier terechtgekomen, het zag er leuk uit. De kwaliteit was op zich aardig. Maar de prijs was echt te hoog. Het ‘elke week een speciaal vegetarisch gerecht van de chef’ ad €27,50 was zeker niet ‘heel speciaal’ maar OK. Het had echter max. €17,50 mogen kosten. We kunnen stellen: alle gerechten, én drankjes, waren echt ‘over-priced’: 2 personen hoofd- en nagerecht, twee drankjes … ad €110,-. Echt (veel) te duur voor het geleverde.

Nice people. Outdated choice on menu (dishes from last century). Meat well cooked. Way too expensive for what you get. Certainly not a second time.

What an experience. We had a delicious meal, the chef regularly comes to the table and has a nice story about everything. Still, I don't think we'll come back here again. When I see the photos in the reviews, the dishes have lasted for a few years, not a big deal in itself, but they are more dishes that you would make at home at Christmas and would not immediately expect in a restaurant. Then the price is very high. The cook and his wife were very friendly at the table, but were arguing in the kitchen, which was not really nice for the guests to experience that. All in all, you notice that the chef only started in the catering industry at a later age and lacks some experience and the prices are too high for what you get.

Worst pork tenderloin ever eaten, full of seaweed, never again

In deze bistro met een ongedwongen sfeer kun je kiezen uit gerechten vanuit een uitgebreide kaart. De bediening is vriendelijk en gemoedelijk en wordt verzorgd door een nette gastvrouw en de chef-kok zelf. De menu's zijn uitgebreid en omvatten een verzameling van klassieke en eigen gerechten met een 'twist'. De uitleg bij de gerechten is goed en de gastvrouw weet deze als geen ander aan te prijzen. De meeste gerechten worden huisgemaakt, en zijn afkomstig uit diverse Nederlandse regio's. Persoonlijk vind ik dit restaurant een aanrader! Dit omdat het weer eens heel wat anders biedt dan een standaard restaurant uit een keten, of een standaardkaart. Mijn advies: ga er eens zitten eten en neem er dan lekker de tijd voor.

During a chance visit to Buren we wanted to sit down and have a cup of coffee / cappuccino. The Brasserie was the first opportunity we came across. So it rained inside quickly. Once inside: no staff to be found. Although there were 2 tables, there was no service (in the kitchen). We didn't want to sit somewhere ourselves, because each table had a reserved plate. A bit strange. Anyway. One of the guests got up and walked to the kitchen and knocked on the door to signal that there were new guests. An older gentleman appeared, and after we told him we wanted a cup of coffee, he said: then take that table. We ordered 3 cappuccinos. They came fairly quickly. (NESPRESSO device). The price of €4.50 each was very expensive. No reason for us to visit Goede Buren again.

Had a lovely extensive lunch on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Surprising, not just standard, dishes in a relaxed atmosphere. To be repeated!

Delicious dinner (6 course chef's menu) at Brasserie Goede Buren in Buren. Welcoming atmosphere and each course was explained by the chef what it was and where the products came from. We enjoyed.

Very cozy place where the owners and chef are regularly at your table to explain the dish or have a chat. Bold dishes where you will certainly discover something new. Feels like you are visiting someone in their living room.

We recently had our wedding reception here, and we made the right decision! Had a seven course apero dining and each of it was fantastic - interesting and exciting dishes with great wine. I definitely recommend the restaurant. The ambience is cozy, intimate and fun. The owners were really helpful in planning the entire party - from the decorations to the activities. They gave us free will to decide on how we want to decor it and how we want to celebrate there. They are very supportive and helpful. They really made an effort to make our party wonderful. We hebben 10 sept heerlijk gegeten en genoten van de lieftallige gastvrouw en de gezellige kok. Ambiance van de locatie is super en op de menukaart gerechten die je verrassen. Met grote passie wordt hier gekookt en gewerkt in het restaurant. De gastvrouw maakt een gezellig praatje met je en de kok komt het eten zelf brengen en uitleggen wat het precies is en waar het allemaal vandaan komt. Voor €32 verwachtte ik een beter entrecote. Air fryer frieten en instant jus als pepersaus. Ik had vooraf de reviews moeten lezen.

We wilden graag eten na een bezoek aan Chateau voor Buren. Het reserveren verliep netjes. Eenmaal aan tafel duurde het behoorlijk lang voor de bestelling werd opgenomen. De voorgerechten waren ok, maar best aan de prijs. Voor het hoofdgerecht bestelden we 1 kleine en 2 middelgrote tournedos. Op tafel kwamen 3 middgrote omdat de kleine op zouden zijn. Hier werd niet over gecommuniceerd, prijsverschil is 4 euro! Bij de hoofdgerechten 1 klein schaaltje sla, 1 schaal friet en dat was het. Niet in verhouding met de prijs van de gerechten!!! Bij het afrekenen moest ik betalen voor de medium tournedos, terwijl mevrouw vertelde dat ze zelf snijden uit een groot stuk vlees, heel vreemd. Wij gaan hier niet meer heen.

Heerlijk gegeten! Fijne sfeer en prima bediening, dankjewel!

We hebben hier heerlijk gegeten, goede service en persoonlijke aandacht van de chef. Zeker een aanrader bij een bezoekje aan Buren!

Beste mensen, aller eerst komen wij aan in dit mooie restaurant in buren en zien we de 2 eigenaren aan een tafel zitten met een laptop.. raar gezicht al vind ik het zelf. We bestelden een 3 gangen menu en aller eerst kregen we amuses. De kok zei dat 1 van de amuses nog een beetje bevroren is dus die moeten we maar als laatst eten, het voorgerecht was oké maar het hoofdgerecht kwam op een koud bord met droge kip en koude pure en bij het nagerecht zat een fruit salade met aardbeien die moes waren. Daar meer dan 120 euro voor hebben uitgegeven is jammer en ook dat ze niet wisten waar de warme wijn vandaan kwam (waar in Frankrijk) is wel jammer en ohja de airco deed het niet dus de wijn was maar warm. Sonde Ik hoop dat jullie hier iets mee kunnen…

Een unieke ervaring, dat mag je wel zeggen. De website beloofde een culinaire avond, dus we hadden er zin in. Mijn tafelgenoot was blij met de kikkerbilletjes. Ik had de vegetarische springroll besteld. Die was... niet wat ik had verwacht. Een taai, smakeloos omhulsel met daarin een vulling van een droge salade. Waar is het knapperige korstje, de groente die je bij een loempia-achtig gerecht verwacht? Maar goed, het was wel een originele manier om een salade te presenteren. Goed, het hoofdgerecht. Mijn tafelgenoot was weer blij met zijn entrecote. Ik had de vega-burger besteld. Ik kreeg een gewone boterham met dezelfde salade en een gebakken champignon erop. Niet de culinaire ervaring waar ik op gehoopt had. Als dessert koos ik maar iets veiligs: de fruitsalade. Tafelgenoot bestelde de crème brulée, die er best wel weer aardig uitzag. Mijn fruitsalade beloofde vers fruit uit de Betuwe. Dat was het ook, alleen ook hier had de presentatie beter gekund. Twee sterren voor de moeite. De kok kan beslist goed overweg met vleesgerechten, maar vega-gerechten kan hij maar beter van de kaart af halen.

Lang geleden dat ik zo goed en lekker heb gegeten. Ik adviseer het Goede Buren menu van 3 tot 6 gangen. De chef Hans maakt van elke gang een smaakvolle verrassing. Zijn (gast)vrouw maakt elke wens waar of het geheel compleet te maken
