Too bad, I like going there, but it didn't quite work out. I don't want to give it 3 stars because it was good last time, so I'll give it another try. However, this time we had lunch and one of the three dishes was forgotten, so one person didn't start eating until everyone else had finished. Soup was served without a spoon. And the plates were left untouched for a long time, attracting a lot of wasps. I had to point this out myself, otherwise it wouldn't have been resolved. The food is good, but the service overall wasn't that great. The young man who served us did a great job and was very friendly.

I highly recommend this place; the service is very friendly and helpful, and the food and drinks are very well-prepared and delicious. The atmosphere is very pleasant and cozy.

We had a lovely morning. The food was delicious. It was beautifully presented, and they're very accommodating to vegetarians and any allergies. Although this wasn't until our second attempt, they were very helpful after a somewhat unpleasant phone call the first time. Four-legged friends are also well-prepared! They're more than welcome and even get their own little platter of treats. Super cute and sweet! Beautiful plants adorn the terrace, adding a touch of color and ambiance. Space is a bit tight sometimes, though. Definitely a place we'll be back!

Great location, good food. And good service, nothing to complain about.

Well... we would have loved to have breakfast here on Sunday morning and arrived at 9:35 on a fairly empty but fantastic terrace by the water. "Do you have a reservation, sir?" "No," I said, surprised by the question at that hour, looking around at the barely occupied tables. But the small, resolute young woman managed to explain to me in such a charming way that she had to disappoint me after all ("In 20 minutes, all the tables here will be full, it's really not possible"). And you know what: when a restaurant like this manages to attract such a high-quality person, you can end up with a very good taste, even without tasting it. Shortly afterward, I had the exact opposite experience at the fortunately found alternative, "bij de tant." I wrote a negative review about it. But then I realized that that aspect alone sometimes deserves a compliment. I will definitely come back here someday (but I will make a reservation ;-)).

Food was not passed on. After complaining the food would arrive quickly, after 20 minutes we asked again when the food would be ready because we had an appointment that could not be rescheduled. Still no food. They had forgotten to communicate. We left without food. Unfortunately not recommended in terms of service. Only at the last moment they said sorry.

First time. Reserved a table by the water. We could choose our own spot. We were able to order drinks quite quickly and ordered a specialty beer. Bottles were brought but no glasses so we had to ask for them ourselves. Then after about 30 minutes we asked if we could order food. Food was served but no cutlery so we had to ask for that again. Food was super tasty sour meat and chicken pie, both with fries and a tasty salad. Beautiful surroundings by the water also completely top. Only the service could be a lot better.

Had breakfast here today on the advice of friends. What a cozy tent. Friendly service. We both had breakfast which was fine and a very tasty omelette. Fresh orange juice and a delicious cup of coffee. Recommended if you are in the area.

The atmosphere and service were top notch. Friendly and fast service. The food was a bit disappointing. The sandwich was very dry and baked for too long. The minestrone soup was watery with just some pasta. No vegetables. And clearly not made by yourself. Too bad because for such a price for one small cup of soup you can really expect something. The coffee and tea were served with whipped cream with eggnog and something tasty.

Unexpectedly bumped into it during a walk. Welcome resting place with delicious pie and coffee. It was great to relax on the terrace above the water.

Nice place on the water and walking area. Good food for a reasonable price. It's a bit cramped inside, but when the weather is nice there is a nice terrace outside. You can get a tapas plate for the dogs for 4 euros.

Went for lunch on the advice of family - spare ribs were quite dry and sparse in terms of meat, but the taste was OK, not a high flyer. Pancake first came without the ordered cheese, after returning with cheese it was completely dried out so a new one. Luckily it was usable. Fries were half raw so not a success either. Too bad, because the location is nice, the staff does their best, but that doesn't save the experience. This one goes off the list.

Had lunch during the Schinveldse woods walk that passes by. Sour meat with local beer, tasty and lots of it. Nice service with sufficient attention and a chat. Nice atmosphere, we sat inside. Nice to look over the water. It's easy to imagine that the terrace will be full in the summer.

This is a great place for a quick lunch. Price/quality is in balance. Will definitely come back.

Delicious fresh breakfast, freshly cut fruit and vegetables, yoghurt, fried egg/bacon/cappucino with whipped cream, croissant, hard rolls etc, everything very extensive, real fresh gravy. Only brown edges on the cheese from standing, that's really not possible. You really get value for your money. Attentive service, fast, we will come back in the spring to enjoy the terrace. When it comes to food and drinks, they have done well here with a great breakfast formula. Only the 'family wall' with family photos; really? No one wants that except themselves. For the rest; great!

It was fine, a nice view. Only noise from 2 ladies (could hear conversation verbatim while we were sitting 4 tables away) and the music was very loud.

Only ordered cappuccino and pie. Both tasty. Nice that the cappuccino is decorated with extra goodies. We sat inside on a rainy Monday afternoon and it was quite busy. There is also a nice outdoor terrace. Food that passed by looked good. Not on a plate but on a wooden platter. Positive experience.

Just a pity that you have to make a reservation. We didn't get a seat either, but we were told that we had to be ready within 45 minutes because the table had been reserved. Many people after us were refused. SHAME

Had dinner here for the first time last Tuesday with a friend, beautiful location on the water. The food was delicious! But we had to ask ourselves to place our order. However, the staff was very friendly. We enjoyed it. And I will definitely come back again!

Today we had breakfast with friends for the first time. A table on the water, attractive and cozy terrace. The food was plentiful, delicious and well prepared. And the girl at the counter was very friendly and helpful, if we needed anything, nothing was too much for her. She joked with us and kept laughing. A TOP.

You could order food until 8 p.m., but you could not order a starter or after course. You could order soft ice cream for which you still had to pay.

Delicious breakfast in a nice atmospheric atmosphere. Very helpful staff even wanted to put other chairs outside for us because they were still wet and because of my Fybro. They didn't make a fuss about this either. And the hot drinks, even the cappuccino, were included in breakfast, which is not self-evident. Would definitely like to come back here. Just a very nice place on the water!

Great food and prices! They have gluten-free bread (that was actually quite good compared to other places), and they can make changes in the order to make sure it's suitable for lactose intolerant people. The cherry on top is the terrace next to the water. Make sure you make a reservation to ensure you get a good spot. I'm certainly coming back again!

A lovely place to have lunch. The tapas for the dogs were also very tasty (it seems). Good, fast service, beautiful location and a well-stocked menu. Reservations are recommended.

Food less than average and how much sad.

Yesterday we ate unlimited mussels and spare ribs with 5 people, delicious. Management really didn't have an easy time with us, I have to say, they just joined in with us. Top solution and I enjoyed sitting there (it couldn't be otherwise with such nice service). A minus point, there were not enough spare ribs and my husband doesn't eat mussels 🙈 hence not all stars.

Had breakfast with 14 people this morning. The food was fine, the service friendly. Buuuut. No empty items were cleared and we were not asked if we wanted anything to drink (but at the end). We were not asked if everything was enough and to your liking. I think there is still room for improvement here.

Today we visited HeerLux for the first time because we have had an 11-year-old dog at home for a few months. We wanted to try to see if that would work. It was perfect. We had a super tasty meal, the dog got very tasty cookies from the staff who are also super friendly. We will definitely come back and it will provide a tapas board for dog and owner. Unfortunately, we overlooked that. Thank you HeerLux for this wonderful experience in this beautiful place.

Was here for the first time yesterday. I reported that I had made a reservation, and after we sat at our table we were immediately asked what we wanted to drink and were served quickly. Super friendly, but after sitting for 20 minutes and still not having received a card, when we asked, we were told that we couldn't really eat because it had been super busy and everything was almost gone... I'm just saying I have deliberately made a reservation a week ago...yes they couldn't do anything about that...but why make a reservation and give my phone number if I can't get anything yet...yes this was powerless...eventually we were told that we could still We were able to get 2x pickled meat and 1x spare ribs...to be fair, this was tasty...at checkout, we were asked if we wanted a cup of coffee on the house, because of everything...because we were full I asked if we could couldn't just get the ice tea on the house. No, just the coffee was the answer. Very unfortunate, because this was my mother's 75th birthday, which was already busy now without my father there..

Lovely spot in Schinveld. You can enjoy a relaxing meal and drink there without pushy hosts or women asking you if you need anything. The soups we had, onions and goulash, were of excellent taste and our lunch main courses were richly garnished and tasty (we were a bit Too fast with the food that we didn't take a picture of it😒) One more reason for us to come back

Once again enjoyed the Smart market breakfast. An extensive breakfast with bacon and egg, rolls, croissant, ham and cheese, brie, sweet toppings, yogurt with muesli and fresh fruit! Plus a cup of tea or coffee!! A beautiful location on the terrace with friendly and helpful staff…… Highly recommended (but make sure you reserve in time 😊) Located in a beautiful nature reserve with extensive hiking trails.

It was a bad experience. We were 4 people and had a luxurious breakfast. The rolls were as hard as stone. The salmon was half over the Serano ham, which was cut too thickly. The freshly squeezed orange juice was from a carton. Etcetera, etc. The whole thing was gone. thrown money .this is already the second bad experience. Why should I have responded earlier? That baked-off sandwich should not have been left out of the kitchen that way, and neither should the rest. Anyway, there are people who eat well with you, I wished you a lot of enjoyment, especially with lots of dogs barking.

A cycling destination that is always a pleasure to visit. Idyllically located, open all year round, beautiful restaurant, an even more beautiful terrace in sunny weather, friendly service, varied food and drink menu. Very fond of animals, water bowls are available everywhere and a “dog dish” can also be found on the menu.
