Brasserie Koriander in Charlois

Cannot judge the food as I was only here for a beer. I was the only customer, so service was prompt and friendly. Cozy location.

What a lovely atmosphere! The restaurant seems a bit hidden, but the garden is very nice. You do have to choose where to sit. We sat on a somewhat rickety garden bench, but that didn't spoil the fun. The service is pleasant and enjoyable. The food is really good. Beautifully prepared... my soles were delicious and buttery soft. The fries and salad could be a bit more. But it's cozy and comfortable in the beautiful garden. Eating inside is also nice.

What a shame this place is closing. Friendly staff. Delicious satay.

Lovely front garden. We had a delicious tuna melt sandwich. The peppers were really hot, though. Not your thing.

Went there one more time, unfortunately they are closing.

And bankrupt again. Last opened at the end of September. A certain male staff member isn't the friendliest and acts rather prim and proper. I'm hoping for another takeover, again. And that this time it might survive, even though it's a brasserie where they really rely on the terrace-goers when the weather is nice. It's a shame it's gone bankrupt for the third time. What's the reason for that?

Really nice terrace, the staff are always incredibly friendly. Simple but delicious menu.

A few months ago, it was a great place, and I would give it 5 stars all around. But now, it's understaffed, which I can't blame the waitstaff for, and it probably needs a new chef. Medium tuna didn't quite come straight from the sea. We asked for a new one, but it was just thrown in the oven. Then, on a new plate, we received an overdone and dry dish that we didn't specify. And the waitstaff claims it wasn't, even though you can see the cut-off piece. Mixing raw garlic into mayonnaise and daring to call it aioli, then lying to the staff so they tell you no, that's how it's supposed to be. Disgusting place for now, and I hope they get better staff soon.

Unfortunately, tonight was not a party like before. Vitello tonato without tuna mayonnaise and the tuna steak was initially raw instead of medium. Sent back, I would get a new one, butttt got the piece back but now completely overcooked. No go. Service was lousy and tried to justify everything. My son had smashed chicken tacos, chicken was hardly there and the aioli was inedible. He got aioli from a jar instead. Mmmmmm. Just wait until there is a real chef in the kitchen again.

We had a nice evening here with a large group! At the back there is an area where we could sit together and where there was also room for our own activities. Received full cooperation from management for this. Predetermined menu was fine. The food was delicious, everything was well coordinated and the various dishes were neatly served at the same time. Price per person includes bread in advance, menu and 3 or 4 drinks per person. Definitely recommended for small and large groups!

We got married here at the end of September and the day was perfectly organized. We liked the service exceptionally well, knowledgeable and pleasant staff who really think along. There was room to hold the ceremony, we had a delicious meal and a wonderful party. Everything could be sorted out and we were very happy with that. The menu options were top notch, the hospitality was excellent. We have taken this place to our hearts and can recommend it to everyone.

I've been here a number of times now and I always really like it. The location is fantastic, so you don't feel like you are in Rotterdam at all, but rather in a small village among all the greenery. Great food for a reasonable price. Always experienced extremely hospitable service. Definitely recommended.

The coriander has a lot of variety. I come there often and the food is always delicious. The staff is extremely friendly. It is a very cozy restaurant and beautifully located. The price of the food is well worth it. All in all, definitely recommended.

Ate here on Saturday the 21st. Everything is fine. Food, location, everything good. But, dear people of the Coriander, I would like to mention The Incident. I won't go into the content here, just be aware of the impact something like that has on a terrace (and business?) full of people. That is not small!!

What a lovely high tea we had here with family. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious Where do you get that tea? It's the best I've had. For my very first high tea, I certainly thought it was a very successful one!

When you think of Rotterdam, you don't necessarily think of a romantic terrace in a park. But you will still find that at this brasserie. We had a very tasty meal. Beautiful dishes, surprising beers and desserts. The service is also very relaxed. In short: definitely worth it if you have something to celebrate.

Sunday with two friends, sister and my mother, after finding my dream wedding dress, the day ended festively with a high tea at Brasserie Koriander 🥰 The snacks were delicious, the tea cups/pots cheerful, the terrace very cozy and the service very friendly and hospitable. Thank you, this special day was complete because of you!

Last Friday we had a lovely sit on the terrace at Koriander. There was a very pleasant atmosphere, not least because of the nice staff. Quick to serve and also excellent in advice about wine, for example. That and the quality of the food rise above the level of what I expect from a brasserie. So above expectations.

Great place to stay. This time on a warm day on the terrace with a glass of wine and a snack board. But also eaten here often. The choice is not very large, but there is always something to suit your taste. It is prepared well. I was a constant customer of the place with old owners, so been there many times. Now tried well known burger - the patty was too dry and smoked fish salad - almost the same as before. However tomato soup was not great and brie as well. Panini were just ok. Service was good and setting is still good. But food may be improved.

Koriander is located in a beautifully hidden spot in the South, where you can enjoy the outdoors when the weather is nice and you can also sit very comfortably inside. There is something for everyone - meat, fish, vegetarian - and the dishes are of good quality with an interesting twist. We both had a very tasty vegan starter and as a main course the bavette with Talisker gravy and goat cheese, which was a good addition to a nice piece of meat. We have been before and will definitely continue to come!

Op 30 april, hier heerlijk buiten kunnen lunchen. Voor mij een van de mooiste terrasjes in Rotterdam, waar je niet komt om mensen te kijken, maar om lekker te eten en je ergens op vakantie te wanen. De heerlijke maaltijdsalades met een goed glas wijn zijn een fantastische lunch. De (echt jonge) bediening was ontzettend vriendelijk, aardig, snel en hield het terras perfect in het oog, compliment! De maaltijdsalade vis is echt een van de beste die je in Rotterdam kunt eten, broodsoort mag worden gekozen en alles is krakend vers!

Thanks to the good service from Roos and her colleague, we were eventually able to eat in the private dining room. We had made reservations both by email and by telephone, but unfortunately these reservations were not recorded and all tables were occupied. We had a great evening with delicious food and Roos' exceptional, friendly, cordial service deserves compliments. The reservation system does deserve attention.

Went for the first time in winter, other times it was in summer and then sat on the beautiful and cozy terrace. Now we were in the downstairs area with 17 people. We had a choice menu that we had communicated in advance, but with many special wishes, vegan, low-salt, gluten-free and vegetarian people in our party. This was super organized and the food was super tasty. We thought the chocolate dessert might not be enough, but it was very rich and creamy, delicious and just enough for a nice ending. Staff/owners? Were attentive and smooth in everything. Definitely recommended and will come back soon to visit the terrace again after a walk in the Zuiderpark. Also great for business meals and dinners.
