It's a unique spot, especially for taller people, but walking into the restaurant area can be a challenge. The food was excellent for lunch, and the service was top-notch.

It is certainly also the view! How fortunate that we have a table by the window with a view over the Nieuwe Waterweg and on the "other side" the Maasvlakte and its industry. Great atmosphere. Good atmosphere. Tea is fresh (ginger). The choice is huge and I still went for the fish & chips. It was really great, but I missed a bit of green food (it was fresh on my plate). The batter for the fish was thin and crispy. Tasty fries. The toilet was out of paper, luckily I noticed this in time 😅, but it was clean and tidy. Service was friendly. I don't think the price is exaggerated and what people spend on a price-quality lunch these days. I will definitely come back because the 12-hour etagiere looked very tasty 🍽🍸

Absolutely recommended! Location, location, location - as the saying goes ;) Nice view out onto the habour and the sea combined with good food. Reservation just 1/2 hour prior to the visit possible, nice team, warm welcome - everything was fine! Just be aware that the seafront is / windows to the harbour are facing south. So in warm and sunny conditions it may become quite hot.

On recommendation I came here for lunch. The location is beautiful on the water with a view of the passing ships. The restaurant is stylishly decorated and the terrace was pleasantly full. Due to the crowd it was a bit confusing for the staff, not surprising because it was a beautiful day last Sunday. We took a seat as instructed by the staff. After a while we were ready to order but we were not noticed. Other tables around us that came to sit later were helped first, perhaps the staff thought we had already been helped. When we could order we chose the high C and some extra bread with spreads. The high C was served on a cake stand of 3 plates with on the top plate 2 shrimp croquettes without shrimp in the filling, 2 torpedo shrimp, 4 pieces of kibbeling and ravigotte sauce. The plate below 2 slices of salmon 3 small pieces of eel, tuna salad and some Dutch shrimp. On the bottom plate 3 pieces of toast halved with some butter, whisky cocktail sauce and a honey mustard-like sauce. The bread with spreads were 6 pieces of bread with herb butter and butter. It was all quite meager, for €53,- I expected more. Add to that the bread for €8,- and 3 soft drinks you come to almost €73,-. Quite disappointing, but what disappointed me the most was how one of the staff members behaved. After paying we still had to use the toilet. We had to wait a while because one of the toilets had not been left so tidy. I reported it and then a man who worked there said that there were all dirty people staying there today. I thought that was a strange statement. Then he pulled the handles of the other doors to see what they looked like but the lady who went to the toilet before me probably had trouble closing the lock so he found her in the toilet. He then snapped at her curtly that she had to lock the door because that is what you do at home. She probably did not expect this because there was a queue anyway. All in all, we left this place dazed and decided to eat an ice cream at the snack bar by the water to end our lunch nicely.

Had a bite to eat with friends on the terrace. Gourmet pastries were delicious!

'2 portions of kibbeling and 1 Spa red........that's 45 euros please' I asked if 45 Euro wasn't a mistake for 2 portions of 6 pieces of kibbeling and a bottle of water?' The reason given for the exorbitantly high price was the quality of the fish used. Yep, they make them up in front of you. I can tell you that it was large quantities of batter containing mini pieces of fish. This was the first and also the last time.

The two of us had dinner here on Sunday 16-2. Reservations were easy. From the bread to the dessert, everything tasted great and was neatly presented. Super friendly service. No stress or anything. In short, a great meal, with good service, you often experience something different. 1 well-intentioned tip, next time take someone's coat, then you would also have received 5 stars for the service.

Disgusting and terrible!! A middle aged lady with blonde hair welcomed us, I think she was the owner or manager of the place, she greeted us in a way that almost chased us away as we entered, when I raised my hand to pass the order no, she didn't even move, then I asked if I can wash my hands with something, she literally had the attitude of not asking me, I never saw such a shame in sympathizing!I am a business owner and I still have my customers never treated like that, nor did I allow it ​​that my staff behaved this way. An etagere with a dollop of salad, some green leaves, some fried fish and a few slices of salmon. No, I couldn't get over it, on the contrary, and if at the end of the trip you have to pay 85 euros for this menu, a few drinks and a pastry...

Delicious lunch and super friendly staff. The view on the water is great. Prices are a bit higher than average for what you get. That compensates with the wonderful taste and appearance. Worth repeating! There is also ample free parking in front of the door.

I've known this restaurant for a long time, but I've only ever been there for lunch. Now we are here in Hoek van Holland for a few days and I think this is the best address! Everything was very tasty and also suitable for children.

It is indeed unique. The restaurant is in a beautiful location, but otherwise there is no reason to come back. We found the quality of the food to be mediocre and the price quite high. But the worst thing is the service. We arrived at a quarter past six, at a quarter to seven someone came with a request for a drink (two already asked for service), at half past seven we had the main course. We had another conversation about the wine choice, but otherwise we were unable to speak to anyone from the service. So we didn't get around to dessert or coffee. They all walked on disinterestedly, sullen faces. Clearing the table was done without asking whether it had tasted good. Then we sat opposite a table with 20 ladies and gentlemen. While clearing the table, a cart came out of the kitchen and the cart stood in front of us for 20 minutes with all the leftovers... No questions asked at checkout either. The owner stood with his back to his customers, not interested. Really incomprehensible how this restaurant is run

I have enjoyed coming to Unicum for years, including today to have a delicious lunch and look at the boats on the waterway. The welcome was warm and the service smooth, but with enough space to chat and look at the lunch menu at our leisure. Opted for the High-C, a delicious etagere for 2 people with kibbeling, Dutch shrimps, eel and salmon and of course the toast could not be missed. The price quality is very good, everything was brand new. In short, a more than successful lunch.

If you are visiting Keringhuis or the surrounding area and want to rest, I recommend visiting this restaurant. you can drink coffee, but also have lunch/dinner. We sat down after a long walk and enjoyed it. Great view on a sunny day, nice terrace ,great choice of food and good service. What I have to mention and what I always notice is that their toilets are very clean. Also you have a a big parking space.
