Dudok in Rotterdam Centrum

A bit slow in serving but very nice and very patient abroad, the food was very good value for money.

At first I forgot that I was going to have apple pie. So a few days later I had to go here again. Both times a good experience. The most beautiful and best apple pie ever.

We stopped for coffee, the coffee was okay, but the cheesecake I ordered had little flavor and was way too dry. A waste of money.

The restaurant is very ordinary and the options are limited due to the presence of baking powder in all dishes. The coffee is somewhat good. I do not recommend it.

Just now, I was at Dudok with my wife and daughter. And I've been coming here for years. A croquette and fries are not possible due to limited stock, which is unusual for Dudok. I canceled my entire order and drank the drinks I already brought, and I'll never come back. Unfortunately, it is what it is.

The appeltaart is lekker, ice tea also fresh. The waitress is very kind, even give us Eng menu and also help us to check the soup that not yet coming.

Nice place for a early morning breakfast (09:00 am) dish with eggs and spinach and salmon, yummy!! And the orange juice tast sweet and fresh even at the start of a new day! Not important if it comes out of a bottle or is freshly made, it tasted great. The place is clean, and the atmosphere feels a little bit urban, if you are in the neighbourhood....visit!!!

I asked a simple question: “What would you recommend? What’s your most popular dish?” The waiter looked at me and said: “I don’t have time to explain. I’m busy. Here’s the English menu.” Seriously? No attention, no care, no basic courtesy. And the food? Just as underwhelming as the service. Avoid this place unless you want to feel like a burden just for asking a question.

The pastries and coffee are delicious but a bit pricey. It's also very noisy. The service, however, is super friendly!

The girl today was very sloppy and fake. I asked if we could sit outside, and she said we were open inside. I looked at the patio; there were plenty of people happily sitting outside. With a deep sigh, she said we could sit outside. Well, well, fine. We were really craving warm apple pie. Of course, there wasn't any. That became clear to us after the GenZ stare. Perhaps a customer service course is in order. I'll never come here again.

The toilet is dirty and stinks very badly!

This is my third time come here to eat the apple tart. It’s very delicious. Really recommend for this dessert.

I don't know if it was because of the road construction or something, the tables and chairs were covered with a thick layer of dust. I ordered the apple pie recommended by netizens, but the taste was okay. Maybe because we didn't order it warm, it tasted like an overnight apple pie, but the fresh cream was delicious! You must add it!

The service team was very friendly and attentive. The apple pie was good, but a little more sugar and cinnamon could have been added.

We had an amazing experience at Dudok Rotterdam! The waitress, Dieuwertje, was extremely helpful and funny. We had a good laugh with her and would definitely recommend coming here.

Stopped for a drink on the terrace today. When asked if our dog wanted a bowl of water, he said yes. So, it ended up on the bill as a small amount! The Pinot Grigio, a very small amount, and not chilled. And all that for almost six euros? The service was incredibly friendly!

I don't recommend the Smash Burger. It wasn't what I expected. It was just like a McDonald's burger. Those thin slices of meat. The fries were good, though.

We went to try their famous apple pie. We were disappointed. I don't think it's worth it; it's average. It's very expensive. They charge almost 10 euros for serving the pie slightly warm, and almost 6 euros for the cold portion. Warm is better, but paying to heat it in the microwave seems outrageous. They also charge you for adding a little cream to the dish. I don't recommend this place. We felt like we were inside the restaurant, feeling hot; they didn't have air conditioning on, and it was a rather hot day.

Historical modern location: a nice break inside an architecture masterpiece! Good food, quiet mood, a real touch of elegant and well designed modernity!

Nothing special...not bad, that's for sure, but just average and half prefabricated. For the asking price, you can find better deals elsewhere in Rotterdam.

Great place with plenty of food and drink options! Last time we visited, we just had drinks and tried the corn ribs — something I hadn’t seen anywhere else. They were delicious, especially the sauce on top, which added a really nice touch. Definitely worth trying!

Best apple pie in Rotterdam, their original recipe!

I first tried Dudok’s famous apple pie while in Rotterdam—and I’ve never looked back since. It’s hands down the best apple pie I’ve ever had: perfectly spiced, buttery, and comforting in every bite. So much so, that in every city I visited across the Netherlands, I made it a point to find a Dudok and indulge again. A true Dutch delight and an absolute must-try!

Cosy terrace on the Meent. But what a bloody racket on the terrace. Only people who want to test their exhausts while driving by. After 20:00 a part of the road is closed. Then it becomes a bit quieter.

Spacious and unique location on a posh street in Rotterdam, serving good cappuccinos and homemade chocolate cakes. Coworking space. It was recommended to me by my friend Thomas from Aruba, who works at Oakberry Açai in Rotterdam's Market Hall.

What a nice opportunity. Since we are not from Rotterdam ourselves, we were happy with the advice of a local resident. We had a nice meal and enjoyed this restaurant.

We stood at the door, at the wait to be seated sign, waiting to be seated. We see multiple employees just chatting, looking at us, nobody came to help us, for almost 10 minutes. Apparently their conversations are worth more then helping new customers. Didnt try anything here and will never try to visit again.

Oh my god, this apple pie is so delicious, even better than the ones in Amsterdam! I couldn’t forget it after eating it, and I regretted not eating it again on the day I left! It’s really delicious! I also ordered Chai latte which was also delicious and the service was good.

On two different days I sat down at Dudok and got up after about 20 minutes because no one came to take my order. It wasn't busy at all at both times. I see that the staff is only busy with each other and having long conversations instead of taking orders.

The food was tasty, servixe was good and the ginger tea was more than hot water with pieces of ginger. We had a portion of bitterballen, satay with fries (sate sauce was really tasty), hamburger with fries and club sandwich (a challenge to eat). Fries were too much for us. Next time 1x and possibly additional orders.

I often visit this tent at CS Rotterdam. Finally helped today as I am used to in the Netherlands; I was asked if I wanted a fork and a bag by an employee from Rotterdam, what a relief! The Italian or Spanish employees are so unfriendly! Perhaps the managers should instruct the foreign employees how things work here in the Netherlands, a little integration can't hurt.

It was my first time in NL and they recommended me to go for typical Dutch food. The truth is that the croquettes and the apple pie were delicious!! The waitress was super friendly and helped me choose. Great choice!!! 😍

Nice atmosphere, apple or carrot nut pie remain my favorite since the 90s. Unfortunately, Dudok Rotterdam is no longer what it used to be. Today my parents visited on King's Day after a pleasant afternoon in the city, a coffee with Dudok apple pie to end the day. Unfortunately the terrace was full. After asking if there was still a place available inside we were informed that no one was allowed inside because they were already closing. This at 5:15 pm! 2 cups of coffee for my parents, a couple of 65+, would have been fine, while the guests already present were still enjoying a meal that was served to them by a waiter at that moment. It's not so much for myself but I found it very embarrassing for them. Fortunately, a few meters away at a grand café, we were assigned a spot that had just become available by a hospitable waiter. Fortunately, there is Dudok Den Haag, where I also like to have lunch with colleagues. Or Hotel New York when I go out with my parents again.

Very disappointed in the Easter brunch at Dudok today... It was communicated in advance that someone would eat gluten-free, a note would be made of this. Bottom line, this had not been thought of. Brunch came and we were just amazed at what they came up with. It consisted of a small board that you shared between the two of you and a glass of juice (no coffee). On the board were 4 slices of (looked like) supermarket bread, some slices (from those packets of slices) of cheese and ham, two boiled eggs, one jar of jam, 4 mini croissant/mini chocolate rolls, some avocado and 2 slices of Easter stollen. We paid 23 euros per person for this! 46 euros for one plank. Sorry, but I think asking for money for this is a money grab.

Easter brunch at Dudok was a big deception! €23 for a shared board with supermarket bread, mini croissants, Easter bread, a few slices of cheese and ham, a mini jar of jam and a boiled egg. Oh yes, 2 chocolate eggs! I can make it more exciting at home. We went home 43€ poorer with some coffee and ginger tea. Too bad we couldn't choose the normal menu. A lot tastier and cheaper!

Bought 2 cakes at Dudok last week. I'm sad to say that the great apple pie of the past is...More Of all the pieces that were cut on Saturday, more than half of them contained a core. It was still well filled and the taste was good, but the cores were a bottleneck. (The red velvet was delicious by the way) I have been buying my apple pies here for years, but maybe I will look at another store now.

Dudok is a nice brasserie where you can have nice coffee and also nice food. The apple pie has fame and is indeed tasty. It is a cozy place with good staff and in a beautiful building with a nice decoration.

Unfortunately, my visit was a major disappointment. The quality of the food was far below expectations. My dish consisted more of lettuce and bread than meat, while the portion was also very small for the price. In addition, the service was slow and disinterested. I expected much better based on the reviews, but this restaurant is really not worth it. There are plenty of other places where you get good and honest food for the same price. A real disappointment. My carpaccio tasted old and didn't seem fresh at all. As if that wasn't bad enough, I also found a hair in my food. This is absolutely unacceptable and raises serious questions about hygiene in this restaurant. All in all a big disappointment. I don't come here anymore

The coffee is great. The apple pie is even better if it's heated and paired with ice cream and whipped cream. The staff is friendly but seems to be in a hurry. It's obviously a less busy time.
