Brasserie Meat the Butcher in Beesd

We hadn't made a reservation, and we were allowed to take a seat in the ice rink. Friendly, but not very cozy. The food, however, was very tasty.

This is the place to eat a delicious steak.

Good service. The dishes for the lunch were good. Decent flat iron steak and ok burguer. The place and service, make it worth it to comeback. I need to give a second oportunity to their steaks and burguers for dinner.

Really enjoyed it, just not very pleasant that people smoke outside while you are eating. But otherwise great!

We searched for steak and chose this restaurant because it was on our route. What a great choice. A location with a beautiful history. A former butcher shop converted into a restaurant. We were welcomed by the owner and even though we hadn't reserved, we got a nice spot. From starter to dessert, it was a complete feast. Pork belly as a starter prepared on the charcoal BBQ, just like the tournedos. Dry aged meat. It all comes together in the name. The dessert was also delicious, as was the bread served beforehand. Okay, a bit more expensive than average, but absolutely worth every penny in every respect. Prepared with love and attention to the customer. We will definitely be back. Delicious. We ate here with two people. The food is of good quality and really tasty. You can sit outside peacefully. If you are in the mood for ice cream, you can have that on the side. Friendly staff and good service. We will definitely go here again.

We went here to get a lovely ice cream in this nice weather. You can easily park your car on the street in front of the shop, but of course, you can also go by bike. When we came inside, we had plenty of flavors to choose from. You can sit comfortably inside or outside; we decided to go for the terrace. You can also have lunch here, but I didn't look at that menu... I'm sure there's plenty of choice there too. For an ice cream, this is definitely highly recommended!!

The menu isn't for everyone; prices are reasonable but not my thing. The ice cream, on the other hand, is absolutely fine.

Christa was our waitress (for the 5th time). A chat, a joke, delicious food (not just meat) and a great atmosphere. Too bad they close relatively early....

We were there well over two hours before closing time, but the kitchen had already been cleaned. We couldn't get anything anymore, not even a sandwich or anything!

I had steak tartare as a starter and dry-aged entrecote and ribeye. Really super tender. It is a shame, though, that you have to order fries and vegetables separately. A good bottle of wine to go with it. A delicious meal.

A wonderful place to eat. The lunch menu is very extensive and full of delicious dishes. Once you have entered past the kitchen, you will have already seen the passion of the chefs. You can taste that passion. I (we) had another super delicious meal here. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to eat at the best brasserie in Beesd. Do make sure to book in advance.

This was my first time. I chose this restaurant because I saw they had a meat drying cabinet. So I assumed the quality of the meat would be very good. It was a business meeting, but thanks to the nice weather, we were able to sit outside. It was very pleasant. We ordered an aged sirloin steak, tournedos (200g), and chicken thigh satay for the three of us. The quality was excellent, and the service was prompt and friendly. I definitely recommend coming back again if I am in the area.

We had a delicious meal; the medium-rare dried Angus beef ribeye was very tender, as was the chuck steak, cooked sous vide. The service was very hospitable, and they regularly checked to see if they could do anything for us. Cozy terrace with a view of the old church.

Delicious tournedos, rarely have I eaten so well. And excellent Montepulciano, at the right temperature. In our experience, this red wine is often served too cold, and then its fullness does not come into its own.

Nice place with a great menu. The explanation of the dishes, especially the "Butcher Boards," was far too brief and could definitely be improved. We would never have ordered them if we'd known they came with bitterballen. We ordered two ribeyes, and without consulting them, we were given two entrecôtes. Not a disaster, but they weren't tender and lacked the flavor of a ribeye. The flat iron was cooked well but also far too tough. The burgers were tasty, and I didn't taste the spare ribs.

We had a fantastic evening and the food was delicious. The red wine was a bit too cold (it wasn't from a cooler), but the waitress more than made up for it. She really captured the atmosphere and was exceptionally friendly and witty at times without going overboard. Highly recommended! We'd love to come back again.

A truly delicious fried egg sandwich! Delicious bread and lots of fried cheese. We only had lunch here, but I'll definitely be back with the family.

Another delicious meal. The meat is wonderfully tender and well-priced. The service is good and friendly... perhaps a bit of a long wait between courses... but it's still a pleasure to come here. If you're near Beesd, definitely pay a visit.

We had a delicious, tender tournedos. The staff were friendly and extremely polite, with a sense of humor. The only downside... the "dried beef" is only available for orders of 250 grams or more, but it can be shared between two people, as I discovered after ordering the tournedos. It's a shame this wasn't mentioned on the menu. (Or maybe I missed it.)

Yesterday, I spontaneously went to dinner at MTB again. It had been a while. But: It was better than ever!! We had the steak tartare and tuna tartare as a starter, followed by the prawns and pork belly. After that, we both went for the Tomahawk. It wasn't disappointing. The meat was truly fantastically cooked and flavorful!!! I might have appreciated a few more vegetables on the plate, but it was truly delicious. The garnish too: a crème and a sweet and sour beetroot. Truly delicious. (But I would have liked more of that.) That's really the only tip... The wines are good, and they have an extensive menu, both for food and drinks. The atmosphere is good, and the staff was friendly! In short: We had a fantastic culinary evening. You do pay a bit, but it was worth it. It's relative. :)

They served one of the best beef burgers I've ever eaten. Full of flavour, moist and cooked to perfection. Service was very attentive but not overwhelming. Lovely atmosphere. They have large car park.

This is definitely not our first visit. We enjoy it every time, a wonderful place for a cozy culinary evening, this time with friends. Highly recommended, a very extensive menu with many surprises.

As always, we had a delicious meal. Normally, we eat in the restaurant, but this time we enjoyed a private meal at home. Due to circumstances, we decided to dine at home with a large group of 13 people. Even though their schedules were full, they arranged it within seven days, and still had a starter and main course delivered. On behalf of our family, we would like to sincerely thank the team at Meat the Butcher!

A lovely, well-maintained restaurant with excellent food. A serious drawback is the price (and quality) of the wine. It starts at €40 for an €8.95 bottle in the shop (Pinot and Chardonnay)... Absolutely not! The food is also expensive, but the quality is excellent. It's a village setting with prices in the Randstad. I only go once...

The food was delicious. We were seated in the middle of the restaurant, which I really disliked. When I asked if we could sit somewhere else, they said no, even though other guests just took that spot. And unfortunately, we overpaid for one drink.

For us, Meat the Butcher is a home game within walking distance, and one we thoroughly enjoy every time! Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and fantastic food. For those coming from further afield, there's ample parking. Reservations are recommended. Everything was great again this time, and we'll definitely be back.

I happened to be passing by, and after reading a few reviews, I decided to dine here. What a beautiful building with a fascinating history and an atmospheric interior, complete with a lovely open kitchen and special grilling options that immediately made an impression. The starter, a tartare, was truly fantastic, exactly as it should be. The main course was also top-notch; I can't say anything else about it. Every dish was delicious and prepared with great care. Moreover, the service was excellent and attentive. All in all, a very successful dining experience that I highly recommend.

The food is delicious! You can really taste the difference between a steak and a dry-aged steak. There's plenty of choice, so there's something for everyone. Free parking is available right next door. We'll definitely be back!
