The food is delicious! You can really taste the difference between a steak and a dry-aged steak. There's plenty of choice, so there's something for everyone. Free parking is available right next door. We'll definitely be back!

A restaurant called Meat the Butcher, the expectation was: the meat had to be perfectly prepared! Luckily, it was. 😄 Large portions, deliciously prepared. The kind of place where you can't choose from five different types of sparerib marinade, but just the one on the menu because it's just the way it should be. A delicious ice cream for dessert was unfortunately out of the question for us.

Delicious ice cream, coffee is good, cake too (expensive though). The atmosphere is um...well, yeah, not there. The staff is nice, but doesn't connect with the customers. You feel unimportant, so to speak. Too bad. They are lucky that this is in a village, because otherwise customers would go somewhere else for that very reason. I think the picture says it all! Two tiny scoops of ice cream for €2.00 per scoop. Inflation is normal, but this takes the cake ;-) Last time for us! I do not recommend this ice cream shop.

Nice restaurant, great food. What I find special is that when you make a reservation online you immediately get the message that the table is reserved for 2.5 hours, or after that you have to leave? In practice it turned out not to be the case, but it doesn't feel very hospitable. After a long meal we were practically looked away by the staff, didn't feel hospitable either. The toilet had already been cleaned while there were still guests and when I used it the waitress looked really grumpy. You can also come to the table and have a last round of drinks, same message, but comes across completely differently. In short, good food, service could be a lot better.

Ordered coffee with apple pie. Never again. First of all, no card with prices. Stupid of me, but I've learned never to order anything again before I know the prices. Apple pie was a soggy sheet cake with a lot of dough and little apple. Coffee wasn't hot either. Employee friendly but unfortunately for her no tip with these ridiculous prices. Still a bad taste in my mouth from this experience. Paid €17.80 for 2 cappuccinos and 2 pieces of apple pie (without whipped cream)!

What a beautiful and nice restaurant. And how special it was to all be silent for 2 minutes at 8 p.m. for the "death" commemoration.

Goede en vriendelijke bediening. Heerlijk eten van super kwaliteitsniveau. Het blijft een echte aanrader zelfs na al die jaren houden ze hun kwaliteitsniveau hoog. Bedankt weer!

We waren op vakantie in Nederland en onze zoon was jarig en omdat we toch samen iets wilden gaan eten, het eerste beste restaurant gekozen die ik tegenkwam op google maps ... geen moment spijt van gehad ... heerlijk vers & mals vlees ... alles was tip top in orde ... echt lekker gegeten ! En als Belg zijn we nochtans redelijk kritisch qua eten :-) Een echte aanrader.

What an amazing find this was, tucked away in a beautiful and peaceful place, we didn’t have a reservation but luckily they had one table left. They looked after us English tourists like we were there own. We tried to book a table a couple of days later but it was full the whole family gutted. We have eaten in some very high end places in our time and this place is easily in those realms but without the extortionate prices. The atmosphere was friendly, comfortable and relaxed. The food was just outstanding. Our little 8 year old fussy eater suddenly become a delight and gave us the most energetic thumbs up we have ever seen, our 16 year old fully satisfied his gastronomical wants, Steak Tartare and a succulent and moist piece of Salmon. We left very full and very satisfied. If you don’t go here you will have missed one of the best meals you will ever have.

Got a cone with 2 lekkah flavored scoops of ice cream. Tasted great. I was helped very well.

To take away or eat on the spot. Sit inside or outside on the terrace when the weather is nice.

Meat the Butcher in Beesd is absoluut een aanrader! De service was top; het personeel was vriendelijk, attent en zorgde ervoor dat we ons meteen welkom voelden. Het eten was fantastisch – de gerechten waren perfect bereid en vol van smaak. De kwaliteit van het vlees was duidelijk top, en de presentatie was zeer verzorgd. Al met al een heerlijke ervaring die ik zeker zal herhalen!

Heerlijke spare ribs gegeten met een prima bediening. Enkel was het storend dat er om 19.00 eigenlijk liever geen koffie meer geserveerd werd aan ons. We hadden namelijk een tijdslot tot 19.30. dit werd ons ook 'EXTRA' duidelijk gemaakt na onze vraag om een kop koffie.

Heel erg lekker gegeten in een mooi restaurant en met vriendelijke bediening. De tournedos en flat iron waren heel erg mals en bereiding (medium-rare) was precies goed. Enige verbeterpunt onze sausjes waren verwisseld en dat hadden wij pas door nadat we het over ons vlees hadden gegoten... Al met al was het een goede ervaring en we komen zeker een keer terug.

Heel erg gezellig restaurant, we hebben allemaal super lekker gegeten en gedronken. De bediening is vriendelijk en zeer attent. De ronde tafel is fantastisch, we zijn fan en komen zeker vaker.

We were here for lunch. The pork belly sandwich was nothing. Too much sauce, which made the sandwich soggy and everything actually tasted like sauce. The bacon was tough. Very unfortunate, I expected more. The other dishes were a lot better.

We hebben een echte avond uit gehad bij meat the butcher. Het begint al met een geweldige entree en voldoende parkeergelegenheid rondom het restaurant. Daarbij een zeer vriendelijke ontvangst, een zeer ruime kaart voor de vleesliefhebber, maar ook vegetarisch! Een plankje vooraf, een geweldig hoofdgerecht en een dessert met ijs uit de fantastische salon ernaast. De staff is mega vriendelijk en zien het direct als je glas leeg is, echt waar mijn complimenten voor jullie geweldige service en gastvrijheid. Jullie zien ons snel terug!

Mooie plek in een rustige omgeving. Goed bereikbaar en voldoende parkeerplaatsen. Mogelijkheid tot binnen en buiten eten. Buiten op groot overdekt terras met heaters. Het eten is er echt voortreffelijk. Het bedienend personeel is echt fantastisch. Deskundig, attent zonder opdringerig te zijn en heel erg gemeend vriendelijk.

Beautifully presented starters, delicious dry aged rib-eye and the desserts tasted wonderful. There was also plenty of choice for our vegetarian daughter. Zeer goede en vriendelijke bediening.Vooraf wat brood met wat heerlijke smeersels. Beiden hadden we spareribs en die waren erg lekker.Frietjes erbij en beter hoefde niet. Koffie na.

Service very uninviting. If you have reserved via the internet, you apparently also have to call. We didn't feel welcome. While the entire restaurant and terrace were empty / had room. It also took quite a while before they came by for drinks and cards. Food was otherwise ok. Dry aged well. Chicken thigh satay is very salty. Fries not included with main course.

The Straciatella ice cream with large pieces of chocolate was so delicious that we happily came back again This time two scoops of Straciatella and white chocolate with raspberry. We enjoyed it again!

Meat the Butcher(July 14, 2024) Recommended for lovers of a nice piece of meat We had dinner here with 5 people and were kindly received by the ladies and given a nice table near the bar. We were well advised when making a choice about which piece of meat we would take. People know what they are talking about and what kind of meat is on the menu. Is it tender, or a bit firm? In advance we opted for a “Butcher Board” for 2 people. A selection of their specialties. Just to get a taste. As head, everyone made their own choice. I was particularly curious about the “dry aged” piece of meat. That turned out to be a very good choice. The other dishes were also beautifully presented and tasted great by everyone. The kitchen and service were excellent. You could tell that attention is paid to the preparation and presentation of the dishes. The one downside we experienced was the acoustics. It can be a bit difficult to hear each other well, especially for people who have poor hearing, but that is really a personal experience and may also have been due to the location of our table. It also detracted slightly from the quality of the service and the food. All in all worth repeating. We would love to come back again!

Meat the Butcher(14 juli 2024) We zijn hier met 5 personen gaan eten en werden vriendelijk ontvangen door de dames en kregen een mooie tafel vlak bij de bar. Bij het maken van een keuze over welk stukje vlees we zouden nemen werden we goed geadviseerd. Men weet waar men over praat en wat voor stukje vlees er op de kaart staat. Is het mals, of juist wat stevig. Vooraf kozen we voor een “Butcher Board” voor 2 personen. Een selectie van hun specialiteiten. Gewoon om alvast wat te proeven. Als hoofd maakte iedereen zijn eigen keuze. Ik was met name benieuwd naar het “dry aged” stukje vlees. Dat bleek een erg goede keuze. Ook de andere gerechten werden mooi opgediend en smaakten prima bij iedereen. De keuken en bediening was prima voor elkaar. Je kon merken dat er aandacht wordt besteed aan het bereiden en de presentatie van de gerechten. 1 minpuntje wat wij ervaarden was toch wel de akoestiek. Zeker voor mensen die een minder goed gehoor hebben kan het wat lastig zijn om elkaar goed te verstaan, maar dat is echt een persoonlijke ervaring en kan ook hebben gelegen aan de plek waar onze tafel staat. Het deed verder nets af aan de kwaliteit van de bediening en het eten. Al met al voor herhaling vatbaar. We komen graag nog een keer terug!

High quality meat, well priced and pleasant atmosphere. The staff was friendly and accommodating: they managed to squeeze us in for a quick dinner even though fully booked. Good idea to book, especially during weekends.

Had lunch here. Food looked tasty. Thought it was pricey. I had the beef sandwich, meat was limited, there was more green on it than meat. I'm also really a meat eater, but if the name and image of your restaurant is MEAT, I also want to taste meat. Furthermore, it looked good, nice atmosphere, ice cream bar, kids could get their own ice cream at the bar.

Really enjoyed our meal at Meet the Butcher. Fantastic service and delicious food. Ordered the pulled pork burger and the chicken satay - both excellent. Lovely surroundings and buzzing on a Sunday evening. Highly recommend this restaurant which is on a beautiful street in Beesd with a convenient carpark.

**Review Edit:** Unfortunately the meal did not meet expectations. Although the portions were on the small side and the fries ordered were missing, the atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant and cozy. This provided a redeeming factor in an otherwise disappointing experience.

Great!! Reserved for a large group. Was answered politely by telephone and kept informed. There were some cancellations due to the weather. This was no problem at all. Good service, everyone had their lunch at the same time! Cozy atmosphere that we enjoyed. Had a delicious meal with my girlfriend on Saturday April 6. One of the best steaks ever. Very friendly service and the Irish coffee and delicious ice cream really completed the evening. Honest advice, “take 1 portion of fries, that's really enough” we thought was very polite from the service. To be repeated.
