Brasserie Meat the Butcher in Beesd

We had a delicious, tender tournedos. The staff were friendly and extremely polite, with a sense of humor. The only downside... the "dried beef" is only available for orders of 250 grams or more, but it can be shared between two people, as I discovered after ordering the tournedos. It's a shame this wasn't mentioned on the menu. (Or maybe I missed it.)

Yesterday, I spontaneously went to dinner at MTB again. It had been a while. But: It was better than ever!! We had the steak tartare and tuna tartare as a starter, followed by the prawns and pork belly. After that, we both went for the Tomahawk. It wasn't disappointing. The meat was truly fantastically cooked and flavorful!!! I might have appreciated a few more vegetables on the plate, but it was truly delicious. The garnish too: a crème and a sweet and sour beetroot. Truly delicious. (But I would have liked more of that.) That's really the only tip... The wines are good, and they have an extensive menu, both for food and drinks. The atmosphere is good, and the staff was friendly! In short: We had a fantastic culinary evening. You do pay a bit, but it was worth it. It's relative. :)

They served one of the best beef burgers I've ever eaten. Full of flavour, moist and cooked to perfection. Service was very attentive but not overwhelming. Lovely atmosphere. They have large car park.

Best ice cream parlor in the west of WestBetuwe

This is definitely not our first visit. We enjoy it every time, a wonderful place for a cozy culinary evening, this time with friends. Highly recommended, a very extensive menu with many surprises.

As always, we had a delicious meal. Normally, we eat in the restaurant, but this time we enjoyed a private meal at home. Due to circumstances, we decided to dine at home with a large group of 13 people. Even though their schedules were full, they arranged it within seven days, and still had a starter and main course delivered. On behalf of our family, we would like to sincerely thank the team at Meat the Butcher!

A lovely, well-maintained restaurant with excellent food. A serious drawback is the price (and quality) of the wine. It starts at €40 for an €8.95 bottle in the shop (Pinot and Chardonnay)... Absolutely not! The food is also expensive, but the quality is excellent. It's a village setting with prices in the Randstad. I only go once...

The food was delicious. We were seated in the middle of the restaurant, which I really disliked. When I asked if we could sit somewhere else, they said no, even though other guests just took that spot. And unfortunately, we overpaid for one drink.

Wonderful place to eat. The lunch menu is very extensive and full of delicious dishes. If you've already walked past the kitchen, you've already seen the chefs' dedication. You can taste that passion. I (we) had another fantastic meal here. See you next time.

For us, Meat the Butcher is a home game within walking distance, and one we thoroughly enjoy every time! Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and fantastic food. For those coming from further afield, there's ample parking. Reservations are recommended. Everything was great again this time, and we'll definitely be back.

We had a wonderful meal and sat down to a delicious meal. We rarely have enough peace and quiet to sit at the table for almost three hours, but here we managed it. Lovely atmosphere, good meat, and friendly service staff. We'll definitely be back!

I happened to be passing by, and after reading a few reviews, I decided to dine here. What a beautiful building with a fascinating history and an atmospheric interior, complete with a lovely open kitchen and special grilling options that immediately made an impression. The starter, a tartare, was truly fantastic, exactly as it should be. The main course was also top-notch; I can't say anything else about it. Every dish was delicious and prepared with great care. Moreover, the service was excellent and attentive. All in all, a very successful dining experience that I highly recommend.

The food is delicious! You can really taste the difference between a steak and a dry-aged steak. There's plenty of choice, so there's something for everyone. Free parking is available right next door. We'll definitely be back!

A restaurant called Meat the Butcher, the expectation was: the meat had to be perfectly prepared! Luckily, it was. 😄 Large portions, deliciously prepared. The kind of place where you can't choose from five different types of sparerib marinade, but just the one on the menu because it's just the way it should be. A delicious ice cream for dessert was unfortunately out of the question for us.

You feel unimportant, so to speak. Too bad. They are lucky that this is in a village, because otherwise customers would go somewhere else for that very reason. I think the picture says it all! Two tiny scoops of ice cream for €2.00 per scoop. Inflation is normal, but this takes the cake ;-) Last time for us! I do not recommend this ice cream shop.

Nice restaurant, great food. What I find special is that when you make a reservation online you immediately get the message that the table is reserved for 2.5 hours, or after that you have to leave? In practice it turned out not to be the case, but it doesn't feel very hospitable. After a long meal we were practically looked away by the staff, didn't feel hospitable either. The toilet had already been cleaned while there were still guests and when I used it the waitress looked really grumpy. You can also come to the table and have a last round of drinks, same message, but comes across completely differently. In short, good food, service could be a lot better.

Ordered coffee with apple pie. Never again. First of all, no card with prices. Stupid of me, but I've learned never to order anything again before I know the prices. Apple pie was a soggy sheet cake with a lot of dough and little apple. Coffee wasn't hot either. Employee friendly but unfortunately for her no tip with these ridiculous prices. Still a bad taste in my mouth from this experience. Paid €17.80 for 2 cappuccinos and 2 pieces of apple pie (without whipped cream)!

Goede en vriendelijke bediening. Heerlijk eten van super kwaliteitsniveau. Het blijft een echte aanrader zelfs na al die jaren houden ze hun kwaliteitsniveau hoog. Bedankt weer!

We waren op vakantie in Nederland en onze zoon was jarig en omdat we toch samen iets wilden gaan eten, het eerste beste restaurant gekozen die ik tegenkwam op google maps ... geen moment spijt van gehad ... heerlijk vers & mals vlees ... alles was tip top in orde ... echt lekker gegeten ! En als Belg zijn we nochtans redelijk kritisch qua eten :-) Een echte aanrader.

What an amazing find this was, tucked away in a beautiful and peaceful place, we didn’t have a reservation but luckily they had one table left. They looked after us English tourists like we were there own. We tried to book a table a couple of days later but it was full the whole family gutted. We have eaten in some very high end places in our time and this place is easily in those realms but without the extortionate prices. The atmosphere was friendly, comfortable and relaxed. The food was just outstanding. Our little 8 year old fussy eater suddenly become a delight and gave us the most energetic thumbs up we have ever seen, our 16 year old fully satisfied his gastronomical wants, Steak Tartare and a succulent and moist piece of Salmon. We left very full and very satisfied. If you don’t go here you will have missed one of the best meals you will ever have.

Got a cone with 2 lekkah flavored scoops of ice cream. Tasted great. I was helped very well.

Meat the Butcher in Beesd is absoluut een aanrader! De service was top; het personeel was vriendelijk, attent en zorgde ervoor dat we ons meteen welkom voelden. Het eten was fantastisch – de gerechten waren perfect bereid en vol van smaak. De kwaliteit van het vlees was duidelijk top, en de presentatie was zeer verzorgd. Al met al een heerlijke ervaring die ik zeker zal herhalen!

Heerlijke spare ribs gegeten met een prima bediening. Enkel was het storend dat er om 19.00 eigenlijk liever geen koffie meer geserveerd werd aan ons. We hadden namelijk een tijdslot tot 19.30. dit werd ons ook 'EXTRA' duidelijk gemaakt na onze vraag om een kop koffie.

Heel erg lekker gegeten in een mooi restaurant en met vriendelijke bediening. De tournedos en flat iron waren heel erg mals en bereiding (medium-rare) was precies goed. Enige verbeterpunt onze sausjes waren verwisseld en dat hadden wij pas door nadat we het over ons vlees hadden gegoten... Al met al was het een goede ervaring en we komen zeker een keer terug.

Heel erg gezellig restaurant, we hebben allemaal super lekker gegeten en gedronken. De bediening is vriendelijk en zeer attent. De ronde tafel is fantastisch, we zijn fan en komen zeker vaker.

We were here for lunch. The pork belly sandwich was nothing. Too much sauce, which made the sandwich soggy and everything actually tasted like sauce. The bacon was tough. Very unfortunate, I expected more. The other dishes were a lot better.

Mooie plek in een rustige omgeving. Goed bereikbaar en voldoende parkeerplaatsen. Mogelijkheid tot binnen en buiten eten. Buiten op groot overdekt terras met heaters. Het eten is er echt voortreffelijk. Het bedienend personeel is echt fantastisch. Deskundig, attent zonder opdringerig te zijn en heel erg gemeend vriendelijk.

We hebben een echte avond uit gehad bij meat the butcher. Het begint al met een geweldige entree en voldoende parkeergelegenheid rondom het restaurant. Daarbij een zeer vriendelijke ontvangst, een zeer ruime kaart voor de vleesliefhebber, maar ook vegetarisch! Een plankje vooraf, een geweldig hoofdgerecht en een dessert met ijs uit de fantastische salon ernaast. De staff is mega vriendelijk en zien het direct als je glas leeg is, echt waar mijn complimenten voor jullie geweldige service en gastvrijheid. Jullie zien ons snel terug!

Service very uninviting. If you have reserved via the internet, you apparently also have to call. We didn't feel welcome. While the entire restaurant and terrace were empty / had room. It also took quite a while before they came by for drinks and cards. Food was otherwise ok. Dry aged well. Chicken thigh satay is very salty. Fries not included with main course.
