ODYSSEY Urban Greek Kitchen in Geldermalsen

Been here on Sunday, August 28, 2022. Arrived at 6:45 PM and placed order within 5 minutes. The main course arrived at 8:45 PM. After a comment about this, the owner came aggressively to say "that we shouldn't complain". Outrageous. Never again to this "nice" man. (Extensive reading: see various reviews) Rotten experience Ad € 147.15. And no response from the owner. Worthless guy. And from that time on never heard anything from an employee of this business again. Worthless fake people. Acting nice to your face, but a knife in the back from behind.

Fantastic! This is the place to be if you want good, tasty Greek food. Not cheap, but worth every penny.

We had a delicious meal in a cozy atmosphere and with great staff.

Went for dinner with friends last night. We had a great meal and what a show they put on. The food is definitely worth a 10+. Staff is very friendly and hard working. The atmosphere is definitely good. Thanks ODYSSEY !!!!!!

Spontaneously left the highway and ended up in the village of Geldermalsen. We entered the first restaurant we saw and received a warm welcome. There was initially no room, but the owner had a chat and made sure we got a table as quickly as possible. Very fast service and good food – definitely recommended! It felt like a real family business.

Always food of sublime quality, attentive service so that you don't have to wave like a flagpole when you want to order new glass. All in all, I enjoy the food and the ambiance every time.

Been here for the first time. Attractive decoration, very good waiting staff who remained alert and not just focused on taking orders and serving the dishes. All very personal. Starts upon arrival: taking the coats and ends upon departure with helping to put on the coats. A super compliment for all that to the owner, kitchen and waiting staff. We had an excellent and pleasant evening because of this experience!!

We discovered this restaurant via Google Maps and were thrilled by the many positive reviews. Since we live nearby, we just had to try it and it was definitely worth it! The ambience is beautifully designed, with pleasant lighting that creates a cozy atmosphere. Everything is lovingly coordinated down to the smallest detail, which makes your stay particularly pleasant. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive! You can tell that well-trained staff work here who really care about the well-being of the guests. We were also very impressed by the food: the dishes were lovingly prepared and you can feel that heart and effort are put into cooking here. Overall, we were completely satisfied and would love to come back!

Delicious food. Good service. Ordered a mix grill for four people. The same bowl of fries and salads for 4 people as for 2 people. Very sparse, very small bowls for 4 people. If you say anything about that, the answer is that you get a lot of meat. If you order an extra bowl of fries because it is really too little, you will be charged extra. Shame. The rest of the food was very tasty and nice.

Thursday, all tables occupied. Very noisy. It's a shame you can't understand each other so well. But delicious food!

Good food, but not nearly as good as other times, unfortunately. It was overcrowded, busy and very hot inside. The dishes were prepared less attentively, rice was forgotten, fries too light in color, no garnish, lamb chops overcooked, even a bit black here and there. This is at the expense of the normally excellent quality. It's too rushed and too busy. Shame!

Odyssey is one of my favorite restaurants and will remain so. I found the last visit a bit disappointing. Vega moussaka is okay but quite mediocre compared to the other dishes they have, it really lacks sauce/flavor. Herb butter/tzatziki is quite pricey if you want to order extra, with 4 people you get 1 bowl of fries and a coleslaw to share. This used to be more generous. Furthermore, the staff was friendly but also busy with each other, a bit unprofessional. Owner always very friendly. Once again one of my favorite restaurants, but now I have seen some areas for improvement.

The food was tasty and the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant was good! The calimaris lacked some flavor, but quickly improved with some salt. Had to wait fifteen minutes at the entrance (in the road) for a reserved table because the bar was full of more people waiting. Mixed grill recommended. All in all a good experience.

Unprecedentedly good. I hardly write any reviews. But this is worth a good one. Everything is done in terms of atmosphere and food. Just a little more special. They are also regularly asked at the table, so you never have to search to order something to drink. Price also excellent. For all. Lots of meat with lots of flavor. Best regards. Been here years ago. Now an excellent price/quality ratio. Very friendly service which contributes positively to the atmosphere and experience. The only thing was that our food cooled down quickly. It turned out that the seeds had gone out from under the stove. When we noticed this, it was quickly resolved. We will definitely come back again.

We have eaten at Odyssey several times and it has always been excellent. The food, ambiance, staff and decoration are top notch. Don't forget to order the scroppino, they make it at your table and it is an experience in itself. We highly recommend this restaurant as you can read and would love to return several times. Very friendly staff, wide choice on the menu. Food was good, the taste was a bit too bland, the starter with mussels had too much sauce, I had to look for mussels. the rest will make up for it.
