Exceptionally good brasserie. Food and drinks are of high quality including the staff.

I thought the interior was outdated. Looks messy. Terrace nice and well positioned on the corner. Staff friendly with a smile. Food was fine, nothing special.

Nice lunch with a salmon sandwich and a Caesar salad. The large salad is really big in terms of portion and tastes good. A real meal salad. The salmon sandwich was also a generous portion. You get all the ingredients separately, so you can choose how you want to top your sandwich. Very useful, because a sandwich is often filled in such a way that it looks nice, but cannot be eaten without spilling. The aperol spritz was also very tasty. Here you get quality for a good price. We really appreciate the friendly service and the smoke-free terrace!

It's an okay opportunity. Service is excellent, friendly and fast. Only those pesky no smoking signs on the tables outside. OUTSIDE !!! I think that's a turn-off. is also the reason I don't go there anymore

a wheelchair lady was unable to pass because alledgedly, the owner parked his bike on a signpost. staff said "dont worry its ok" to clients while the poor lady had to reverse.

Enjoyed a delicious lunch in the first sun. Beautiful terrace in a beautiful and cozy (shopping) street.

I absolutely love this place, i go often as i love their tomato soup 10/10. But, the last time i went there i went with two friends who got food from boosty across the street, they sat down with me to eat and they ordered two cokes from the brasserie. A few minutes after eating one of the waitresses with a terrible attitude tells my friends that normally it’s not allowed for them to eat food from another place there. We were absolutely fine with this but with the unprofessionalism she said it with we were not okay with this. We thought she had made an exception as she had said “normally” so they had continued eating. The waitress then comes back and while walking past us she very rudely exclaims; put it away. We were in utter shock by her attitude, it was as if she had taken it personally. We also did not completely understand why they could not eat there as we were sitting outside, me i had ordered a full meal and they themselves also ordered drinks. My friends then waited for me to finish my food and we went over to boosty where they had no problem with my other friend eating fries from brasserie meys. Unfriendly experience.

Not my thing. Because our alternative is closed on Mondays, we went here. We were inside a very unpleasant place. Service was delayed. Finally ordered the croquettes with bread. And that was it. 2 slices of bread with 2 croquettes. No lettuce, no garnish. I'm not counting the 3 wilted arugula leaves. Shame.

Had a ‘boerkass and oregano’ sandwich except without origanum and without farmers cheese (just melted plastic mozzarella). Paid a fortune for it too.

If you are looking for filthy floors, tables and exaggerated prices, visit this place!! 10 euros for seven pieces of burnt appetizers!

Surprise, Surprise. I was always a bit worry to come here, I thought it was not worth it. I was wrong. The waitress are nice and smiling, the food decent, the service quick and appropriate. Definitely an old way of recieving guests. Well done!

Good lunch in a beautiful location

We had the Asian and Niçoise salads, and a couple chicken clubs. There was no issue with accommodating the one nut allergy, not the one who wasn't an onion fan (read that as it was freshly made and so they only added what we wanted). The price was reasonable (we may have stayed for a second drink since we were so comfortable). All were yummy! The servers were both quite friendly and responsive.

I arrived in Den Haag only yesterday afternoon. So this was my first lunch with family at Brasserie Meys. A nice cozy cafe on a busy suburban street, with seating indoors and outdoors on the terrace. With A good selection of sandwiches, snacks etc, we choose to have the authentic Tomato soup! Rich, very tasty and served with either white or brown bread, it’s a hearty meal in itself. We also ordered the biter ballen as this is one of my grandsons favorites! Great coffee too! Service with a smile makes it an enjoyable cafe to visit and enjoy a meal.👌🏻

Super fijne bediening, fijn terras was jammer dat ze dicht gingen. 😉 Maar begrijpelijk 18.00 uur is 18.00 uur.

Overpriced voor een te simpel broodje! Warme beenham met mosterdsaus. Broodje was een simpele triangel Beenham was niet warm en smaakloos Mosterdsaus was veel te vlak van smaak. Al met al teleurgesteld

The food is a bit better than normal on a cafe, and the menu shows a bit more flare. I did spend half of the meal trying to get a second drink though. After making eye contact and tilting my head to two of the staff members for 20+ minutes and getting a vibe that I was being ignored trying unsuccessfully to flirt, I resorted to holding my empty bottle in front of me while waving. That finally got me a second bottle of what I had first ordered... Which was better than continuing to let my food get cold, but not the beer I really wanted. Nice enough place. I'm just not sure how you are supposed to continue to order after your first interaction with the staff.

Heerlijk lunch gehad en heel aardige bediening. Heel fijn om te kunnen eten en in de zon te zitten zonder de rook in te moeten ademen van de rokers die om je heen zitten. Een verademing. Ook voor ouders met baby’s en kinderen een top terras.

Super gezellig personeel .. je krijgt waar voor je geld

Cute place but food a little overpriced. Burger was dry and overcooked and chicken sandwich was a little on the small side.

A cozy place to shelter from the rain

Het terras, gelegen op een mooie - en zomers zonnige - hoek van ‘De Fred’ ziet er aantrekkelijk uit. Wij kozen op deze frisse dag een plekje binnen. Een gezellige atmosfeer, voldoende tafeltjes om met z’n tweetjes te lunchen. De kaart is eenvoudig met voldoende variatie. Spontane en vooral vlotte bediening die zorgt dat het bestelde snel op tafel komt. Prima smaak, en vooral het landbrood is een aanrader! Meys is absoluut een plek om nog een keer te bezoeken.

Lekker gegeten, goeie sfeer en attente en vriendelijke bediening

Een ster voor de locatie en een ster voor de appeltaart, want de rest is niet in de haak. Ze zijn op zondag open tot 18.00 uur, maar als je na 17.00 uur komt krijg je geen koffie meer “want het apparaat is al schoon”. Ja dus? Dan maak je hem maar weer vies. Of sluit je gewoon de deuren om. 17.00 uur. De bitterballen bevatten meel en geen vlees. En de broodjes zijn er smakeloos. En de wijnen zijn ook van een lage kwaliteit. Ohja, en ik kreeg ook nog een glas met kaarsvet eraan. Jammer, had niet gehoeven op deze manier.

Was hier met mijn date Bianca (van tinder). Was gezellig, lekker kroketje gegeten. 2de date zat er helaas niet in, ik wacht nog tot ze de tikkie voor de helft van de rekening betaalt maar ze reageert al een tijdje niet meer (ik denk dat ze druk is).

Veredelde snackbar! De hele dag ontbijt, maar alleen ongezonde dingen. Jammer. Na bekijken van de kaart, gauw vertrokken.

Na bezoek aan Kunstmuseum heerlijke erwtensoep gegeten bij Brasserie Meys. Leuke aardige meiden in de bediening. Lekker druk. Plekje bij het raam en voldoende te zien buiten. Plek om te onthouden en terug te keren.

Verzorgde lekkere broodjes. Leuke buurt. Goede bediening

Altijd lekker eten hier. Nu buiten op t terras in t zonnetje gezeten. Met hapje en drankje.

Heerlijk broodjes super bediening

Heerlijk gelunched was een gezellige brasserie die waar het eten heerlijk was en dat kon je ook merken aan het aantal gasten.

De salade Nicoise was een teleurstelling. Geen enkele overeenkomst met zoals het hoort te zijn. Misschien kunt u dit eens proberen bij DeLuca. Vraagje? Waarom hangt alles scheef? Het geeft geen meerwaarde aan "gezellig".

We hebben hier gezellig op het terras buiten gezeten en genoten van koffie en perengebak. Vriendelijke bediening, twee vorkjes voor één gebak was geen probleem.....

Je gaat hier lekker buiten zitten op een prima plekje, jammer dat je “buiten” nergens mag roken terwijl je dit toch verwacht “buiten” op een terras! Erg gast onvriendelijk en het staat ook nergens aangegeven!

In de " Fred" van Den Haag bevindt zich deze brasserie. Heerlijk terras om iets te gebruiken. En het allerbelangrijkst: een rookvrij terras!!! Dat verdient een compliment.. Service goed, en prijs/kwaliteit eveneens. Heerlijke plek onder de parasol in de zomer...

Leuke locatie met een geweldig terras (vol in de zon) aan een leuk plein. Lekkere gerechten en salades. Gastvrije bediening. Echt een aanrader in een gemoedelijke wijk van Den Haag.

Leuk terras, goed gegeten, vriendelijke bediening. Niks bijzonders maar gewoon hartstikke prima. Binnen is het niet echt gezellig ingericht maar het terras is super.
