The lunch was delicious and beautifully presented. Unfortunately, the service wasn't very cheerful, even though it wasn't busy. Tables weren't cleared, and we had to wait a long time for a second drink because the bartenders were chatting away. Not a friendly word when we left.

Food ordered more than 2 hours late, cold and only received half

Yesterday afternoon, my son, his fiancée, my best friend, and I were looking forward to a nice lunch somewhere we hadn't been before. The food was delicious, but the service was absolutely terrible. We'd been sitting there for over half an hour, but no one came, so I walked in and asked, "We'll be with you shortly," she said, but she arrived fifteen minutes later. During lunch, no one asked if we wanted another drink. After I went back in for another drink, she typed it in, but it didn't arrive. The ladies were loitering behind the bar, but our drinks weren't brought, so I went back in and typed them in again, but again, nothing, and 15 minutes later, our drinks arrived. When I paid, I was charged for three drinks, but I explained that we'd only had two, and they handled that well. We won't be back, and that's because of the staff—those ladies are absolutely terrible. Once again the food was tasty, but I thought the soup was a bit expensive: €8 for a small bowl that was empty very quickly.

Had lunch on Saturday with four people. It wasn't busy. The food was fine, nothing to complain about. However, the service was excruciatingly slow. Waiting 20 minutes for drinks seemed way too long, especially since the waitress was doing her hair behind the counter. We asked again if she could bring us our drinks, which arrived quickly this time. When we paid, she tried to charge us for three drinks, even though we'd only had two. This was a one-time thing, but never again.

Nice neat place, friendly staff, fast service. The prices have gone up a bit like everywhere else and I found the pulled pork a bit small in relation to the fries and price. That's why one star less. Otherwise a great place to eat

I found the high tea via social deal fine. The snacks came fast enough and the staff was friendly. There is only one toilet per gender by the way.

Ordered a 12 o'clock snack and received €13.50 per person. Egg was cold (yes, yes according to the child), service by children, owner came in later, uninterested and unfriendly. Child labor, girls uninterested. Thought to have a nice lunch, €36.50 lighter and an experience richer, we will never come here again, worthless.

Fantastic restaurant if you like waiting two hours for air! Ordered here today around 6:00 PM via Thuisbezorgd. Waited almost 2 hours for the food. I then receive a message via Thuisbezorgd that the order has been cancelled. I will never order from here again.

Delicious food!!!! Mustard soup.....amazingly delicious! Spare ribs, cone of fries, raw vegetables and mixed vegetables......excellent! And then dessert after...yammie! Will definitely come again ♡♡♡♡

Ordered at 6:30 PM, would arrive at 7:45 PM. It is now 8.55 pm and we have not received anything yet, very sad!!!!

Food was fine. Staff is not customer oriented. Appears insecure and unprofessional, does not keep an eye on the table. Both ladies serving have impossibly long nails, very unhygienic.

A very nice restaurant to eat. You will receive a friendly welcome from the staff. We came to eat with our daughter and the staff quickly arrived with a coloring page and crayons. We were served quickly and didn't wait long for the food. The food was very tasty! The satay and spareribs have both been approved. You get plenty of side dishes and they also taste good. All in all, this restaurant is definitely recommended if you ask us

We had a delicious meal here with four people. The food is super fresh, so it sometimes takes a little longer to arrive on the table, but then you have something. Everything is also nicely served. A bottle of wine is really cheap. The staff is more than friendly. In terms of care, service and attention, they are on par with that fancy restaurant. I can highly recommend having dinner here. They also have a beautiful terrace where you can have lunch or high tea or just have a cup of coffee or something else to drink.

They forgot us twice, first with the starter and then with the dessert. When I was paying, they just laughed at me. The toilets were also not as they should be (maintenance), everything was loose.

Reserved a high tea for today at 1 p.m. The tea was brought, but we had to wait another hour for the food. Tea cold, orange juice warm and the salmon wrap was not included. Unfortunately not via social deal, so I also had to pay the full price.

Enjoy sitting on the terrace in the sun with a cappucino, bitterballen, various small pastries and soft drinks, delicious! Bowl of water for the dogs. What does a man want more..

Wrong order, dirty, soggy and soggy cold food. Schnitzels were like the soles of shoes. Very tough. As for the soup; canned soup has even more flavor. But they charge €6 per bowl of 3 sips. Filed a complaint and they did nothing about it. Paid way too much for junk that went straight into the bin.

With a little sense you won't deliver 30 kilometers from Veendam. You can decide for yourself how it will arrive. You should have refused the order. And if you are called and then told that you had bad luck, it says enough that you are the worst in the Kerkstraat and so on.

Recently had two sandwiches and soup delivered to my home. Hot chicken sandwich and pulled pork sandwich. They really deserve the full 5 stars, very tasty! We also ordered vegetable and mustard soup. Vegetable soup was fine, mustard soup was gone. We were called in advance about this and then switched to tomato soup. That tomato soup was really great! Ordered 2x baguettes but received baguette and Italian roll. That was a pity.

Had a luxurious high tea today via social deal. It was all really tasty. Especially for the price we paid. Very friendly staff. We asked several times if everything was OK and if we wanted anything else.

The food was very mediocre and did not taste like it should taste. Croquettes tasted old or as if they had been prepared in old fat. We also left the 12 hour mark. The controls seemed new because of the many instructions they needed. The only one with experience wore sweatpants and basically all the staff wore dirty clothes. (There goes your craving) The decoration/atmosphere was reasonable if you take the clothing of the staff out of the picture. Maybe better at dinner, but for lunch I would walk through.

I thought it was a dirty place. Crumbs on the chairs, greasy table, dirty windows. I actually wanted to have a pastry but I left it.

They have never heard of the word hospitality here. Last week we tried to have a cup of coffee and something tasty here. The waitress ladies were chatting behind the bar. Neither of us cleared the tables or was really busy with the guests, so we had to stare at the leftovers of our predecessors for fifteen minutes, with the cutlery reaching under the table. No one came to take the order and no one looked at the guests. In the end we just left, without coffee. Too bad for a tent with so much potential in a great location. Really not recommended.

My wife, kids and I just came home from our worst ministry ever. A young waitress and a host (who was behind his laptop the entire time) were very incompetent and showed that they didn't care much. First the young waitress had taken our order incorrectly and when she brought our main course she had not cleared the table in advance. During our entire time in the restaurant, the table was not cleared once and we were not once asked if everything was okay or if we would like another drink. When my wife had enough and put the plates, glasses and other things on another table, this did not prompt the waiter to clear the table. Before we left the restaurant we confronted the best man with this and he was surprised and called this "Feedback". It felt like they were punishing us because we had our children with us who were a bit loud at first when there was no one else in the restaurant. The food was therefore not good and it was really too expensive for what we got. We would have had better service and tastier food for less money at a McDonald's. We won't come here again.

Een 'High Tea' leek mij niets, maar recent wandelde ik met mijn moeder door de natuur en genoot achteraf van wat eten. Geen lunch of diner, maar gewoon 'tussendoor'. Zoiets ter grootte van een 'High Tea'. Maar waar tussen Zwolle en Groningen zouden we twee verjaardagen gezamenlijk kunnen vieren met een wandeling en een High Tea? Met of zonder Social Deal werd het een zoektocht. Een 'écht' restaurant waar men trots een High Tea wil serveren. Een middag lang zoeken en, heb ik weer, waarschijnlijk het beste alternatief gevonden. Wandelen in Muntendam, shoppen of museum bezoeken in Veendam en een High Tea in brasserie 'La Vache'. Lekker én speels geserveerd op een houten plateau en een houten etagère. Vriendelijk personeel reserveerde een aangenaam deel van de brasserie. Wat een succes. Helaas ontdekten wij achteraf dat de 'Social Deal' een High Tea betrof van €24,95 voor €14,95. Maar we kregen niet de 'HIGH TEA LARGE', maar een versie tussen 'small' en 'medium'. Vind ik niet zo sympathiek.

Met zeven personen high tea arrangement genomen. Goed verzorgd, smaakvol en ook voldoende voor iedereen.

Ze hebben hier mijn vriendin vergiftigd met hun zogenaamde vegan gerechten waar gewoon melk in zit! ook geven ze op thuisbezorgd niet aan wat de allergenen informatie is dus als ik dan vegan zie staan mag ik hopen dat het echt een vegan gerecht is en niet maar een klein deel dat vervolgens in boter wordt bereid! Waardeloos en onverantwoord... Laatste keer!

Heerlijk gegeten! We waren met een groep van 10 mensen. Bediening prima. Niet te lang wachten. Wat een verschil met de vorige keer. Aan alles merk je dat er een nieuwe uitbater op zit!

Super gegeten. Heerlijke maaltijden voor een mooie prijs. Bediening zou wat meer mogen rondlopen en vragen of men iets nog wil drinken? Restaurant vind ik een aanrader.

Het schepijs is echt vies. Mijn zoon gooide het weg en was heel verdrietig. Ik vond de mijne ook niet lekker. Andere keer: De high tea zijn veelal supermarkt zoetigheidjes die op een grote etagaire liggen. Weinig zelf gemaakt. Tijdens corona gingen ze diner bezorgen. Dat was meestal wel prima.... maar al even geleden. Ik heb er ook weleens een soepje geluncht. Duurde heeeeeeel lang voordat het op tafel stond.

Ga NIET naar La Vache met een high Tea de luxe van social deals, ik werd verrast door vriendinnen, high tea de luxe incl. Prosecco. Niks geen prosecco in huis, kregen 1 potje warm water voor met zijn 4e, meerdere keren extra gevraagd, niks gekregen. Warme, koude hapjes en verschillende soorten fruit,.. geen warm hapje gezien en een mini mini trosje duifjes. Koude hapjes daartegen voldoende. Toen de besteller ging klagen was het antwoord tja de luxe op social deals is bij ons de simpele op de kaart🤷Kregen toen ineens wel een wijntje. Heel vreemd, zeker voor 24,95 per persoon. Dikke afrader!!

Bediening en eten was goed. Jammer dat er een verjaardag werdt gevierd waardoor er veel lawaai was en ik mijn vrienden niet eens kon verstaan. Maar kom er zeker weer.

Ondanks de negatieve reviews via social deal gegeten: Het was geweldig, helemaal niks op aan te merken, leuke bediening, heerlijk eten en sfeervolle inrichting met fijne muziek, gewoon top en zeer zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!

De high tea was op zich wel goed, maar er zijn nu al weer producten van afgehaald zoals kroketten melk en karnemelk. De gastvrouw had ook recht op een fles wijn, omdat er geen wijn gedronken is dat is mijn mening hierover. Maar ze heeft het niet gekregen.
