Drie kwartier gewacht op de kaart. Bijna uur voor eerste tapas rondje. Om 21.00 hadden we nummer drie rondje tapas pas. Koud eten niet gaat of verbrand. Wel moeten aftikken. Zijn weggegaan met lege maag

Excellent food in itself (stray pot carrots), nice menu. Atmospheric, perhaps a bit too dark. Fast, neat and cheerful service. Unfortunately closed as of October 2024, very unfortunate! Lots of strength.

Delicious food, friendly service, cozy environment

Gegeten in dit restaurant, waarvan je van te voren, via de online menukaart, al kunt inzien wat er zoal te eten is. Ziet er veel belovend uit. Alleen de realiteit is anders, ik had een zigeuner schnitzel met zigeuner saus. Smakeloos en een erg flauwe en papperige saus. Mijn vrouw had het stoofpotje. Verschrikkelijk. Smaak saus deed denken aan gebonden jus en het vlees wat hierin lag was erg vet en er zaten harde stukjes in. Hierover geklaagd, maar blijkbaar vond de kok dit wat overdreven en heeft niet gereageerd. Al met al zeer bedroevend. Ter compensatie konden we een kopje koffie krijgen, maar op deze manier ga je niet met klanten om. Geen restaurant om nog een keer naar toe te gaan.

We had reserved a high tea a few weeks in advance. Upon arrival, we were told there was no high tea listed on the reservation. They then blamed the customer, and no suitable solution was found. We had been very much looking forward to this, but we went home disappointed.

Okay, I thought the bread board was sparse with the herb butter. We couldn't fill all the sandwiches. Took a long time for the drink to come the second time. Steak was overcooked a little too long. So fine, but I expected more.

Ik lees een paar negatieve ervaringen, daar kan ik me niet in vinden. We hebben heerlijk gegeten. De serveersters waren echt top en de cocktails ook echt super. Eén ongedwongen sfeer, heel goed eten, leuke bediening. Een echte aanrader, wij komen zeker weer!

Straight from the freezer. Salad absolutely not fresh. Bread rock hard. The stew? Don't even get me started on that. Hopefully they will get their affairs in order soon, because this was not good.

Great place to have a delicious meal and drink. Good service, top cocktails and delicious food. Recommended!

In the past we came here often and with pleasure. However, last weekend was an experience that the dogs did not like. Stew with pasture beef meat. Shortly after bringing the food, the friendly waitress asked if it tasted good. I replied "I have to try first to see if there is any meat to catch". There was very little beef to be found in the cast iron pan that was filled to the brim with brown sludge, which they called sauce. I managed to fish a few pieces off the bottom and could draw no other conclusion than that the cattle had fled before being slaughtered. The waitress stood there and could not come to any other conclusion. It looked like I had been served soup, but it was really the so-called stew. Words are not enough and we have never experienced anything like this before. My other half had a pork tenderloin that was supposed to be fried pink, but it was downright dry and tough. It asks "mushroom cream sauce on the side?" The price is then very sneakily increased by €2.75 The mushroom sauce seemed to be a watery cast and still too expensive for anything. The preparation can sometimes be disappointing, but it produces a stew with nothing in it, which tends towards bottlenecking. I informed Java of my findings by email but have not received any response. The terrace is inviting, but unfortunately there seems to have been a tendency to cut back. Fine for a drink, but put the menu aside. Conclusion: We will never eat here again. Scam!

Delicious food, definitely recommended!

The satay with steak fries is delicious! Friendly service, a warm atmosphere inside, enjoy outside on the terrace with patio heating and blankets if necessary. Nice place.

Nice location. That's where it ends. Service attentive but not very fast and not well trained in the system they use. We had to wait 1.5 hours for 4 dishes. This is the deal breaker. After 1.5 hours someone else joined us. This caused us to have to wait even longer. We ordered at 5:20 PM and now, at 6:53 PM, we still have no food. The waiter just said 5 minutes left. 10 minutes have already passed. Still no food. We were actually on time, but we have already postponed our appointment. Never before have you had to wait so long when eating out. Hopefully the food will be OK, but we don't know yet because it isn't here yet and we don't expect anything more from it. Update! 6.58 pm the food is here! ...

Went for dinner as a couple. Spare ribs are excellent, and the steak was also nice and tender. Compliments. It was delicious! Friendly people, neat, and a very nice environment. Definitely recommended!

We, the Brabanders, really enjoyed the hospitality and the delicious food, which is why we came back the next day. The owner is very friendly and helpful, just like the service. Nice atmosphere too!

Essentially eating, long waiting times for food to be served. While not many places were occupied. Food was good. But when we asked for the dessert menu and had to wait another 10 minutes, we asked for the bill.

Main course pork tenderloin medium cooked but still bone dry. The fried mushrooms were horribly salty. Own main course grilled steak, looked more like stewed meat. Served on a hot plate swimming in gravy. No room on the plate for the fries and vegetables. The homemade yougurt dessert and the strawberry sundae, cappucino and tea were delicious and made up for a lot.

Ate at Java for the 1st time. Lunch with husband and son. Relax outside on the terrace. Delicious food and the dinner menu also looked very good. We will definitely try that out sometime!

We have been in the North for a few days, today is the last day, but we had the best meal (Sate and Schnitzel plus good prepared side dishes). And….nice service. Recommended.

Measures of whisky small your last mouthful staff asking if you want more. Would not return. Better restaurant 100 meters away... seek it out.

Nice meal after a jam session. They take the customer's wishes seriously and that is almost special these days 😃

Food sucks. Ate with a group of five people, two of whom are now in bed with stomach complaints and diarrhea. The complaints started within a few hours after the meal. Don't eat spare ribs or chicken satay here.

We waren bij Java voor een high tea voor mijn moeder's 82e verjaardag. Totale deceptie. Tussen de gangen door steeds heel lang wachten, we moesten overal om vragen! Na 2 ronden zei men dat we klaar waren terwijl we meer dan de helft van wat vermeld was op de website nog niet hadden gehad. We hadden 1 persoon met brie allergie en dus werd de brie voor iedereen gecancelled ipv een alternatief te bedenken voor deze persoon. Bij het afrekenen gezegd dat we niet heel tevreden waren en toen kreeg een nieuwe medewerkster de schuld, terwijl het totaal niet aan haar lag maar aan slechte organisatie en slechte keuken!! Nog gemaild over onze ervaring en daar helemaal geen reactie op gehad. Dit was voor 156 euro een kat in de zak!! Zwaar teleurstellend!

Delicious toast, and memorable cappuccino

At the beginning of March we had a reasonable meal, but too many 'buts' for 4 stars. * Order a bandit sign for young children for €3.50 for the youngest two kids. Salad was missing and our kids' plate was bigger than our own plate. In addition, € 3.50 is a lot of money for a small bowl of applesauce and a small bowl of mayonnaise. A smaller board and preferably hard plastic (so it also looks good) seems like a good idea because a slightly naughty toddler can use the board as a frisbee or shuffleboard. Bandit plate does save food waste, so the concept is good. Normally we order one children's menu + an empty plate to split the quantity. *Bread basket and main course were served at the same time. *Inexperienced operation. Didn't have an answer to a simple question and left the menus behind after taking the order. It wasn't her friendliness/enthusiasm that was to blame, so this will work out fine in the long run. Halfway through the main course we decided to get an ice cream elsewhere. Price-quality: sufficient. And good enough to eat at least once.

Today we had food delivered. Delivery was punctual and that was very nice. The food was generally good. The large amount of red cabbage (as portions with a dish) was not really tasty. The hamburger was small and not special, the portion of fries was also too small, the price of 18 euros certainly did not fit in with this. The rest of the dishes were fine.

Used to be very tasty and affordable food. Unfortunately it is no longer what it used to be. Quantity in portion has become much less for a higher price. The prices on the menu are no longer correct. The dishes are sometimes 2 euros more expensive. We wanted to order some more garnishes (because the portions were very small), but no staff ever came by. A Coke Zero is now 3.50 euros. They now charge 3 euros for watery champion cream sauce. Very sad compared to what it once was. We won't go again.

Delicious cocktails and something tasty on the house, including snacks. cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Nice place to spend an evening!

The food was good, that was no problem. However, the service had forgotten about us and dismissed it as "miscommunication with the kitchen". We had to wait an hour before we were served, but even after we spoke to the wait staff about it. An apology was offered and a free cup of coffee as a "gift".

Such a shame, you had a pretty good meal. Schnitzel and spareribs were fine. It later turns out that the sauce with the schnitzel ("Do you want mushroom or pepper sauce with your schnitzel?") was secretly an additional charge of 2.75. And because it came with a very small container of fries with a waste container of fries sauce, we asked for an extra container. Will there be a larger portion of fries with just the same amount of sauce, additional cost: 3.50 for the fries and 1.75 (!!!) for the mini portion of sauce... And the shrimp cocktail from the website (which was no longer on the menu but could be ordered cost an undisclosed euro more. I don't care about those extra euros, but it still feels like taking what you can get... And the atmosphere doesn't get any better if a few children were shouting very loudly through the shop, but of course there's little the staff can do about that...

After dancing on Tuesday, have a nice chat and sit in this cozy cafe.

I wouldn't do a buffet style myself. But from the menu the quality is always good to very good.

Leuke plek met een vlotte no nonsense kaart. Tevens goede prijs en een goede kwaliteit. Een leuke plek om te zijn en laat je niet in de war brengen door de naam. Puur Hollands!

Eten zeer aan de prijs, en niet warm genoeg. Champignons en uien bijna zwart op je schnitzel. Als toetje hadden we ijs, dat al half gesmolten in het schaaltje ligt.

Heel matig. Er was een feestavond. Zonder geïnformeerd te zijn. Daardoor zeer beperkte keuze. Wat wij kregen was bijna koud en slordig afgewerkt. Bediening was traag en de frietjes kregen we na de maaltijd . Bedrijfsleidster koud en kil, alsof je een boze schooljuf voor je had. Doordat er een feest was werden we ook nog van de tafel weggejaagd. Ik ga hier nooit meer heen!

Ik wilde na het eten graag een Italiaan koffie. Ik verdraag niet teveel suiker en geen zwarte koffie, dus ik wilde graag de slagroom apart en een beetje warme melk erbij. Daar moest ik een glas warme melk voor aanschaffen a 3 euro. Ik vind dat belachelijk, ik neem er maar een fractie van.

Vaste klant, we komen regelmatig eten. En uiteraard voor de lekkere slipt43. Kwaliteit van het eten is niet altijd even goed maar dat kan altijd een keer gebeuren.

Leuke uitstraling ofwel de gezellige bruine café of de sjieke restaurant.

Goed restaurant waar ik zeker terugkom.

Goed gegeten, niet super bijzonder maar alles was smaakvol en goed bereid.

Heerlijk gegeten ala carte. Was wel wat frisjes omdat we nabij een deur zaten. Toen wij ergens anders gingen zitten, werd daar totaal niet moeilijk over gedaan. Vriendelijk personeel.

Eten erg slecht zalmfilet droog en doorbakken smakeloos, slappe boontjes met een klodder saus en een heel klein bakje sla voor 4 personen veel te zoute patat en een smakeloze groenteburger. Wel heel vriendelijk personeel.

Vriendelijk ontvangst. We zaten op het terras en kwamen voor een drankje. Een tijd met de bediening gesproken. Ope en aardig gesprek. Wat ons tegenstand was de sterke frituurlucht. De ruimte binnen is enorm. Aan de ene kant zag het er binnen bruin cafeachtig uit en daar rook je de frituurlucht niet. Het damestoilet zag er vies uit. Wellicht net een verkeerd moment. De wijnen goed verzorgd. Helaas nog geen foto's gemaakt.

Super restaurant! Bediening was super, zeer beleefd en snel. Eten was verrukkelijke en zeker de moeite waard!

Eten was heerlijk, maar iedere minuut kwam er een andere serveerster om te vragen voor drinken. Vonden wij enorm opdringerig. Jammer

Zeer vriendelijk bediening, snel en uit steken bediening, en het eten was zeer smakelijk en van goede kwaliteit, en het was er zeer gezellig en is zeker een aanrader. Kwaliteit en prijzen was zeer goed. Wij gaan zeker snel weer terug.

Op het eerste gezicht schept de naam van het restaurant een verwarring. Ik was hier op uitnodiging van een gezelschap en in de veronderstelling dat het een Indonesch restaurant was. Het interieur doet ook hetzelfde: binnen, achterin ziet het wat oudbollig uit en vooraan is gekozen voor een modernere inrichting. Het eten is standaard hap wat je van een café kan verwachten, echter is getracht het wat op te leuken, door te serveren in rechthoekige borden. Ook in het servies kon men geen eenheid vinden, want iedereen aan tafel kreeg zijn eten op een andere manier geserveerd. Daarintegen was de sfeer erg gezellig en het personeel is heel vriendelijk. Bij het serveren van de toetje (Limencello met schepijs) begreep ik het nut van de drie rietjes niet zo.
