Grand-Café 'T Plein Restaurant in Wijk 00 Veendam-kern

The schnitzel is a bit small for a schnitzel. But what's really unfortunate is that it was put in a pan that wasn't heated up yet. The result: breadcrumbs soaked with butter, making them soft instead of crispy. And consequently, a lukewarm schnitzel. The Caesar salad was a complete disaster: baby lettuce instead of romaine. Boiled eggs in it?? Chicken nuggets instead of roasted chicken breast. Parmesan flakes from a bag at the grocery store instead of freshly grated. Pale tomatoes (tomatoes??) even though it's the height of summer. And the dressing is sweet. Sugar instead of anchovies! Nothing like Caesar dressing at all. The croutons from a can: hard and tasteless. The Mexican stir-fry didn't have anything stir-fried in it. The chicken thighs were whole pieces of roasted chicken. And not Mexican-style seasoning. I couldn't detect anything Mexican in it at all, unless it was the nachos. The service is excellent: fast, polite, and welcoming. The atmosphere is cozy. If you don't have too many expectations regarding food, you can have a pleasant evening here with friends and family and fill your stomach.

Grand café is always tasty, always good, and definitely a good atmosphere.

We were offered a lovely spot on the terrace! We ordered coffee, luckily the hazelnut cake was sold out, so we had apple pie instead! With whipped cream? Oh, please! What a BIG surprise! REAL hand-whipped cream! Where else can you get that?! Well, here it is! And with truly hospitable service! OUTSTANDING! Thank you 🍀

After a long time we ate at this restaurant again. The food tasted good. There were enough side dishes served and the wait was not long. We were just before the crowds which of course worked out to our advantage in terms of waiting time. This remains a good restaurant to eat at if you ask us.

The warmth washes over you as soon as you cross the threshold. Cozy, friendly, friendly people, it feels very homely and yet professional. Huge choice, especially in terms of beer and wine, we had a beer here and ordered a snack board. They were finishing lunch and dinner had not yet started, which is fine for a snack. They brew their own beer and can also advise you, we want to go there again soon, by taxi, and try the beer tasting or the beer version of the high tea!

There is some fun here, but only outside on the terrace but inside. I stopped here for a nice beer.

We (German group) were asked early on to keep quiet at the table, although other tables celebrated at least as exuberantly. It felt like they were trying to get rid of us (35 minute wait for the next drink)

Had dinner here with four people on Tuesday, June 18 at 6 p.m. Time flew by while enjoying a delicious Quadruple from the barrel. Until my wife said that it would take a long time for our food to arrive. Then Jeffrey, our waiter, came to tell us that something had gone wrong with the order, but that it would be there in 2 to 3 minutes. That was true. Unfortunately, my medium/rare Tournedos ordered were well done, so I sent them back. With apologies from the company, a new Tournedos arrived and it was fine. As compensation we were given a drink, which was deducted from the bill. The cod and spareribs XXL were excellent! I would love to come back, because you can make mistakes, as long as you solve them!

Usually very busy on the terrace with tables that are quite close together, so we usually skip this restaurant. However, today it was quiet and we gave it a try. Absolutely no regrets! The service was top notch. Friendly, fast and very neat service. The food (both a baguette) was delicious. Many more vegetables with the sandwich than we normally get. Minus: the baguette was a bit sticky white bread. No other choice. But otherwise very tasty. The atmosphere was pleasant, summery, with music in the background. Just a shame about the smokers and full ashtrays that mar the experience. If the terrace is half full of smokers, you can hardly breathe, I suspect. But that's not the restaurant's fault, I understand that. We would like to come back on quiet days.

Overall satisfied with the quality and presentation of the dishes. The staff is fast and friendly. It is not cheap, but in my opinion the price and quality are in good proportion. Nice place to spend your evening with acquaintances or family while enjoying a delicious dish and a drink from the extensive 'range'. Lunch is also highly recommended!

Reserved online and indicated that you did not want to sit in a walking path. Where do we end up: in the middle of a hiking trail. Mustard soup and satay were just lukewarm, salmon without toast and the piece of schnitzel and satay from the peat colonial pan were very dry, the fried potatoes were a soggy mess and tasteless and everything was just lukewarm! Mocktail was delicious. Unfortunately not my restaurant! Definitely don't come here again!

Goed eten, snelle service en vriendelijk personeel

Erg lekker gegeten, goede grote posies en lekkere patat er bij. Wel wat tips doorgeven, maar als ze daar wat mee doen, kan de volgende lekker eten.

Jammer dat het eten (burger en spareribs) een beetje flauw zijn gekruid. Ook onze buren zijn tussentijds vertrokken omdat hun eten koud was en daarna in de magnetron opgewarmd is. Maar dat ze 3 keer om haar bestelling (glas rosé) moest vragen?? Deed bij ons ook besluiten om weg te gaan. Wel heel lekker bier.

Heerlijk gegeten, goede sfeer (genoeg drukte, zelfs op de maandag) en professionele bediening. Open keuken met sympathieke keukenbrigade. We dronken een goede fles zuid afrikaanse rode wijn en een pilsje uit eigen brouwerij dat echt lekker fris was. We komen hier zeker terug!

Heerlijk gegeten op een donderdagavond en het was erg vol en gezellig. Sfeervol ingericht en het eten was erg lekker vooral de hete carpaccio is echt een aanrader. Er zit ook een hotel bij.

After exploring the centre of Veendam, we quickly determined that this was probably the place to go when looking for a restaurant in the cent of Veendam. It was very busy due to the braderie. Good food, very friendly staff. Will eat here again on my next visit.

Wij mogen graag uiteten gaan. Dit doen we ook graag lokaal. Parkzicht bezoeken wij zeker 1 a 2 keer per maand. Personeel is erg vriendelijk en kent haar klanten goed. De zaak is onlangs helemaal verbouwd en echt een beleving. Er wordt zelf bier gebrouwen en dit vind je in veel gerechten terug. De zaal heeft een sfeervol buitenterras dat door de Locals graag bezocht wordt. Het is een echte ontmoetingsplaats. Parkzicht is echt een aanrader als je in Veendam bent.

Als Veendammer hebben we lokaal weinig keus, dus zijn we blij met Parkzicht. Een ondernemer die continu bezig is met zijn restaurant. Onlangs is het gehele restaurant verbouwd. Het eten is er altijd goed en de bedoening erg attent en gastvrij. Je merkt dat Parkzicht een trekpleister is waar men graag afspreekt. Hier nog nooit geweest? Zelf ervaren zou ik zeggen.

Als je een hapje wilt eten en het is druk op het terras heb je binnen pech. Na 5 kwartier wachten nog geen hoofd gerecht ja het is druk was het antwoord en het wordt op volgorde geserveerd maar er waren mensen die later binnen waren het eten eerder hadden, maar het staat al klaar en het komt er zo aan dus nog een kwartier gewacht en nog niets toen zijn we maar weggegaan geen sorry of kunnen we nog iets betekenen gaan we nooit meer naar toe.
