Golfrestaurant De Compagnie in Wijk 00 Veendam-kern

It wasn't a good experience. The creamy fish terrine had three large bones and was tasteless. The main course was stuffed guinea fowl. The guinea fowl was still somewhat passable, but everything else on the plate was unfortunately flavorless. I cook better at home; it wasn't worth the money, unfortunately. The pace was also too fast; we were still making the bread when the appetizer arrived. Three courses, and after an hour and a half, we were already out. The waitresses were friendly!

Busy place, but that is explained by excellent dishes. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. A haven of peace despite the crowds.

Since it changed owners the quality has deteriorated rapidly.

Delicious food in a homely atmosphere

Had a two-course dinner twice before a performance. A few years ago, it was good. But this time (Oct. 2024), the main courses were really not good. The soup was fine. And it's gotten a lot more expensive. Too bad.
