Brasserie Revue in Wijk 00 Centrum

With the beautiful weather, I wanted to go here for a drink with my father, who is in a wheelchair. Although there was more than enough room on the terrace, the staff indicated that no chairs or tables could be moved to give us a good spot. I was also told that it was actually not possible to use the toilet if you had mobility issues. My father didn't need to use the toilet; we just wanted to come for a drink with my family. It is truly bizarre how UNwelcoming... So, this location is definitely not recommended, and I certainly won't be going there again, with or without my father.

It was a nice hotel right in the city center with parking at the back, though a bit too expensive per day! But better than a fine. The cleaning staff were noisy in the morning, but otherwise it was fine.

A nice breakfast spot with a relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was fresh and flavorful—especially the croissant and coffee, which really stood out. It’s the perfect place to start your day, whether you want to sit and unwind or just grab a quick bite. I’d definitely come back!

We came for dinner with a social deal. Very tasty and the service was quick and friendly.

Update November 21, 2025: We had another delicious meal here today. It was a SocialDeal, but it was delicious and more than enough. The space was cozy and the staff were friendly. The Boeuf Bourguignon is highly recommended. Absolutely fantastic. 2022: We had a truly delicious meal. The three-course menu was also more than enough. The staff was busy on this sunny day at the Vrijthof, but they were very friendly and service-oriented. Highly recommended!!!

We waited a very long time for our drinks and food. When it finally arrived, everything was lukewarm. There were four of us. After requesting to have the food reheated, they checked by hand whether it met the house's standards and then served it again without reheating. What a mess this place is.

Friendly staff, a bit more expensive than in France. Expect to pay €8 for a Viennese hot chocolate and a croissant. Superb croissant, better than in France. Highly recommended, all in a romantic setting.

Update 2025. Very nice terrace, not on the busy side of the Vrijthof square, so you still enjoy the pleasant atmosphere and a bit of peace. Very friendly, efficient staff, despite speaking English. Unfortunately, the food has deteriorated somewhat. We ordered the bread board as a starter: not enough bread for the dips, really frugal. The melanzane was mushy with far too much tomato sauce, tasting like it was straight from the microwave. Bruschetta with salmon was fine. The fish was mediocre with terrible presentation, the pasta was limp, and the sauce was watery with a bland flavor. We did get a fresh salad, which was tasty. Dessert was delicious, but they buy it ready-made, though beautifully presented. Such a shame, because that little bit of extra attention in the kitchen is what keeps people coming back. That's why we came back this time. But this time it really wasn't anything special. A shame. Great food, nice place. If you sit inside, hotel guests are constantly wandering through the small restaurant. We didn't find that bothersome. What was annoying was that the staff was constantly chatting with each other. And quite loud. That's not why you go out to eat. It's beautiful on the quiet side of the Vrijthof square. The food is really delicious and fresh.

Someone else mentioned the man bun guy. Don't know if it's the same person I encountered today but he is possibly the rudest person I have encountered in the service industry. Shocking level of service.

The breakfast is excellent, especially the fried eggs.

Drinks are brought quite quickly after ordering. The waffle only follows after half an hour of waiting, when your coffee is already finished…

We went here for breakfast at 8am as everything else is closed. I got a bagel with salmon and egg and it was amazing. Really recommend this place for breakfast. A bit pricey tho.

We were pleasantly surprised by this lovely restaurant! Child-friendly and delicious. Our children (3 and 5) wanted to share a grilled cheese sandwich, which was no problem, and they each got their own plate. Our dishes (salmon sandwich and brioche shrimp croquette) were also delicious. Thanks for the great service and hospitality!

Tijdens Koningsdag was het Vrijthof overvol! Toevallig aan het "uiteinde" van het Vrijthof plek gevonden bij Brasserie Revue. Door een werkelijk erg goed optreden van een Queen tribute band vielen we met onze neus in de boter. Wat speelden die gasten goed, of Mercury er zelf bij was! Kijk dan heb je mazzel en zit je eersteklas bij de Revue. Gelukkig nog wat zon, goede vlotte bediening en de Affligem smaakte voortreffelijk. Top middag.

Het is alweer een paar jaar geleden dat ik hier voor het laatst heb gegeten. Hoog tijd voor een nieuwe kennismaking dus! Het was nu voor het eerst dat ik hier - vriendelijk - door de bediening in het Engels en niet in het Mestreechs werd aangesproken. Dat was even wennen, maar niet onoverkomelijk. Dat zal met het personeelstekort te maken hebben. Ik koos als voorgerecht de steak tartaar met kappertjes en sjalotjes van de kaart. Die was goed, maar niet super. Als hoofdgerecht smaakte mij een flinke zeebaars met wortel, wortelpuree en beurre blanc, wat frites en salade voortreffelijk. Oostenrijkse Grüner Veltliner begeleidde het geheel, een lekker frisse en peperige wijn. Ik rekende hiervoor 83 euro af en dat vond ik toch aardig aan de prijs.

Refusal to be able to sit down for a drink at 6 p.m. on the pretext that there are too many people even though tables are available. This is not normal and we will never go back to it again.

Social deal menu: gamba’s was het darmkanaal niet verwijderd. Sukade hoofdmenu: saus was te overheersend waardoor het vlees wegviel. Ook ervaarden wij een “ korrelig” mondgevoel. Dit te samen gaf een slecht hoofdgerecht wat door ons niet werd opgegeten. Ter compensatie werden er 2 drankjes van de rekening afgehaald. Kortom: de keuken heeft nog veel aandacht nodig en heel wat te leren. Wij zullen niet terugkomen

Social deal menu: prawns had not had their intestinal tract removed. Sukade main menu: sauce was too overpowering, causing the meat to disappear. We also experienced a “grainy” mouthfeel. This together resulted in a bad main course that we did not eat. To compensate, 2 drinks were taken off the bill. In short: the kitchen still needs a lot of attention and a lot to learn. We won't be back

Ordered coffee and pie here today. Unfortunately we received the pie half an hour after the pie. Okay... then another cup of coffee, well unfortunately that also went wrong, which came again after we had finished the pie. Poor operation, no overview. And while we were number 3 and 4 on the terrace... yes, it was unprecedentedly busy, they reported... yes, it makes sense if you then make everyone wait for half an hour. Bad experience for me and several guests.

Ordered a Brussels waffle, but got a Liège waffle. If you indicate that it is not the waffle you ordered; "waffle is a waffle". Resolving power of a potato...

Koffie is ok, Brusselse wafel kun je alleen ''s avonds krijgen (?). Met z'n vieren maar helaas waren er nog maar drie stukken vlaai.

Wat ons betreft een onbekend pareltje in Maastricht. Prima wijn, lekker eten en goede borrelhapjes. De locatie is prima, lekker rustig, maar toch sfeervol en met uitzicht op het Vrijthof. 👍🏼

Eten was heerlijk de revue burger is zeler een aanrader. Service is snel en klantvriendelijk, leuke tent om gezellig wat te eten en te drinken

We stayed overnight... Great hotel, great Restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Niet toegestaan om een paar stoelen bij te pakken zodat je niet bij vrienden aan tafel kan zitten. Belachelijke toestand!

Vriendelijkheid is zeker hun troef, maar personeel die geen nederlands spreek maakt het allemaal een beetje moeilijk...

Ik heb hier lekker wat gedronken met mijn vriendin op het terras. Ondanks de kou lekker onder de terras heaters gezeten. Erg aangenaam.

Leuke locatie, vriendelijk personeel. heb hier geluncht, viel tegen uitsmijter op 1 boterham, niet echt warm.

Staat dat het open is vanaf 8.00, maar ontbijt pas vanaf 8.30. Dus alleen kop koffie gedronken. Croissants roken wel goed :)

Aangenaamd verrast ! We zijn hier geweest met social deal bonnen. Waar vaker social deal tegenvalt was het hier zeker voor herhaling vatbaar. Top 3 gangen menu. Een van de betere stukken vlees in een lange tijd. Goed mals met salade en frietjes. Ook nog op een top locatie aan het vrijthof. Hier komen we zeker terug.

Rustige locatie, goed eten en zeer vriendelijke bediening. Zeker de moeite waard.

Perfecte bediening. Kon zelfs afwijken van menukaart. Kwaliteit top. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding goed. Voor herhaling vatbaar Die stomme snoepjes smaakte mij ook wel.

Lekkere lunch genuttigd met vriendelijke bediening. Één punt van kritiek is dat wij ruim een kwartier moesten wachten tot wij konden afrekenen gezien er geen ober te vinden was.

Weg lekker gegeten, alle 3 de gangen echt om te smullen. Vriendelijk personeel en mooi plekje op het vrijthof, aan de rustige kant. Zeker de moeite waard!

Aug 2020: Heel leuk terras om te zitten. Verzorgt en vriendelijk personeel. Een beetje buiten de echte drukte van het plein. Perfect.

Heerlijke wijnproeverij met tapasplank. Leuk geserveerd. Vriendelijke bediening.
