Brasserie Sablones in Wijk 13 Venlo-Oost-Noord

Cozy, well-attended brasserie. The food is good. The service is friendly. Ideal for sitting by the Meuse for a while. The local and house beers are a nice extra.

After calling four times to make a reservation and leave a message on the website, I have given up hope. I don't think this brasserie wants to make money.

We both had a sandwich. The chef's sandwich was tasty. The ham sandwich was very disappointing. I had a hard bun with 8 small pieces of meat on it along with some lettuce. I couldn't find the sauce. When I think of a ham sandwich, I think of a sandwich with slices of meat, not cubes of fried meat. A sauce with mustard should be tasteable, or at least visible. The salad served with the sandwich was tasty, though. I found the prices too high for what you get.

Had a lovely lunch with the dog. Cozy atmosphere where you can sit comfortably.

Delicious and not too expensive!
