Cozy, well-attended brasserie. The food is good. The service is friendly. Ideal for sitting by the Meuse for a while. The local and house beers are a nice extra.

We had a delicious meal last Sunday, and special compliments to the service! We were served by a young man who was incredibly friendly, attentive, and hospitable. It is really nice to see that there are still such nice young people working in the hospitality industry.

We stopped here because it was supposed to be quiet. And it was, but there were people on the terrace who were seeking a lot of negative attention and reacting negatively to those around them, including us. The food was okay. The chicken was a bit dry and the pancake very greasy. The staff is very friendly, though. The building could use some maintenance.

Very mediocre. We ordered meat that was out of stock, and instead they offered chicken for the same price. This meal came with a very small amount of fries; you could count them and they were very poorly cooked. They also served a small bowl of raw vegetables on the side; the contents could fit in the palm of your hand. For what you are served, it is not worth the money! It has been a pancake house for a few months now, and apart from pancakes, there is little choice on the menu. Not the restaurant it used to be!

Great location overlooking the Meuse River. I had a pancake with goat cheese, honey, apples, and nuts. All the nuts were whole and very generously placed in the pancake, especially hazelnuts and almonds. It was a very unpleasant eating experience, as all you could feel was nuts in your mouth, and the fluffy pancake and apple pieces were completely lost. You had to chew constantly just to get through all the nuts. If all the nuts had been chopped, it would have been an incredible pancake.

We ate pancakes here last Saturday; they are okay, but don't expect too much. It is not a pancake restaurant like the one in Arcen. Beer is served at the table without a head. Ice cream is okay, but small. We also wanted to enjoy a (cold) Schrobbelear and ordered one, but the waitress didn't know if they had it (it is on the menu, though). A little later, she came walking over with 2 glasses of Schrobbelear; however, this one was WARM. Overall conclusion: Service could be friendlier. Food, okay, but nothing more. Terrace atmosphere, not cozy at all (no music). Drinks, scandalous. So, after this, we went to De Paerdskoel to enjoy a nice glass of beer with a head and a cold Schrobbelear.

What a fantastic experience at this place on the Helling. The food was truly sublime and everything was beautifully presented on the plates. The salmon with the green purée was especially highly recommended, as the flavors came out perfectly. The fries with the fresh mayonnaise were also deliciously crispy. I will definitely be back here again.

When the temperature is right, its an amazing place with a great view on the river. Food is good as well and its a very cozy place. Just dont go when there arent a lot of people. For the staff will keep asking you if you want another order, even when the glasses are still full. Othereise great staff tho, very friendly in other ways.

Nice little place on the Maas, but when we received our food, it turned out to be undercooked. We sent it back to the kitchen. De service was vlot en zeer vriendelijk, ook het eten werd snel geserveerd en was van uitstekende kwaliteit. This pier at the kiosk and café is great for a quick dog bath, but standing there for a long time isn't fun because of the waves. The service on the terrace is friendly. I didn't eat anything, but the four was very good and cooled me off.

Wir haben hier einen Mahlzeitsalat mit Gambas gegessen. Die Gambas waren super, aber der Salat bestand hauptsächlich aus Rucola und außer ein paar Tropfen Remouladensoße am Tellerrand war kein Dressing dabei. Auf Nachfrage brachte die Bedienung für 3 große Salate ein winziges Schälchen von dieser Art zähflüssigen Remouladensoße. Fast mit Widerwillen habe ich den Salat gegessen, bis wir nochmal eine Honig-Senf-Soße bestellt haben, die dem Salat endlich etwas Geschmack verliehen hat. Das war der bisher schlechteste Salat, den ich jemals gegessen habe. Ich habe übrigens mindestens 3 Mal bei der Bedienung angegeben, dass ein Salat ohne Dressing einfach nicht schmeckt, aber darauf wurde leider nicht eingegangen. Meiner Meinung nach ist fast nur Rucolasalat auch nicht gerade die beste Wahl. Aber natürlich ist das Geschmacksache. Ich werde hier auf jeden Fall nicht noch einmal essen gehen.

Over lokatie is veel te zeggen: maar als je op het terras van Sur Meuse heerlijk in de zon van een ferme salade mag genieten is het leven heerlijk. Het was er rustig, bediening accuraat, vlot en gemoedelijk. De salades ruim voldoende om de rest van de middag door te komen. Echt genieten in het zonnetje.
