Yes, a lovely brasserie. Fast and very friendly service. Beautiful location on the Meuse River. We were invited to a birthday party, but it's a shame the birthday boy wasn't offered a drink on the house.

Nice little place on the Maas, but when we received our food, it turned out to be undercooked. We sent it back to the kitchen. In our opinion, little had been done, because the exact same food came back exactly as we'd sent it. So, unfortunately, I'm still not entirely satisfied. When we eat out, we come for the food, so this could use a bit more attention.

De service was vlot en zeer vriendelijk, ook het eten werd snel geserveerd en was van uitstekende kwaliteit. Met andere woorden een echte aanrader als een gezellig diner wilt eten in een leuke ambiance! Wij gaan zeker terug!

It all became too much for our 100 year old mother and her son brought her back home. But the food was ready, the waitress said, and then she also gave the food to the son. We received no apologies for anything that went wrong there. .The Carpaccio was a plate of vegetables with 3 small pieces of sliced ​​beef. The spare ribs were burnt The other dishes were also not as we expected. It also seemed as if the heating had been turned off, it was cold. The only thing that was very tasty was the onion soup. We thought we would have a pleasant evening with our 100 year old mother, but what a disappointment.

Wir haben hier einen Mahlzeitsalat mit Gambas gegessen. Die Gambas waren super, aber der Salat bestand hauptsächlich aus Rucola und außer ein paar Tropfen Remouladensoße am Tellerrand war kein Dressing dabei. Auf Nachfrage brachte die Bedienung für 3 große Salate ein winziges Schälchen von dieser Art zähflüssigen Remouladensoße. Fast mit Widerwillen habe ich den Salat gegessen, bis wir nochmal eine Honig-Senf-Soße bestellt haben, die dem Salat endlich etwas Geschmack verliehen hat. Das war der bisher schlechteste Salat, den ich jemals gegessen habe. Ich habe übrigens mindestens 3 Mal bei der Bedienung angegeben, dass ein Salat ohne Dressing einfach nicht schmeckt, aber darauf wurde leider nicht eingegangen. Meiner Meinung nach ist fast nur Rucolasalat auch nicht gerade die beste Wahl. Aber natürlich ist das Geschmacksache. Ich werde hier auf jeden Fall nicht noch einmal essen gehen.

Over lokatie is veel te zeggen: maar als je op het terras van Sur Meuse heerlijk in de zon van een ferme salade mag genieten is het leven heerlijk. Het was er rustig, bediening accuraat, vlot en gemoedelijk. De salades ruim voldoende om de rest van de middag door te komen. Echt genieten in het zonnetje.

We spontaneously arrived at Sur Meuse on our way to the center of Venlo. Despite a lack of reservations, we were allowed to take a seat at one of the high tables or on the terrace (the sun was shining beautifully) and if it rained (which the weather forecast warned about), a table remained available for us inside. The service from the waitress was top notch. We don't feel like we had to wait a minute too long, the two ladies served us with a smile and our questions were answered. The local draft beer (fresh and fruity) was worth a toast. We enjoyed the food. Not only did the taste buds get what they wanted, we were also visually satisfied (completely surprised, well... don't judge a restaurant by its appearance). We were able to relax and recuperate there. :)

Alles was lauw en het eten van mijn man zelfs koud, ik had kophaas spies met sate saus zat een raar smaakje aan, de tournedos van mijn man was koud, we gaan er nooit meer heen. Echt een afrader.
