We had a wonderful meal at "Het Zoete Gesture" (Sweet Delight). The atmosphere is pleasant, both on the outdoor terrace and inside, where the staff are friendly and helpful. Changes to the menu were no problem, and the dishes arrived quickly. In short, a great place to dine!

A really lovely café, we absolutely loved it. It was super cozy, the music wasn't too loud, just pleasant. The food was sooo good! Huge selection, everything fresh and really delicious. We went with our grandma (with a walker) – no problem, everything was easily accessible + even a wheelchair-accessible restroom 👍 one of our best experiences in the Netherlands 👌🇳🇱

We had a lovely meal here on the terrace with three people. We ordered the schnitzel twice and the kibbeling once. The food was delicious, and the service was friendly and fast. This restaurant is also highly recommended if you're in Arcen.

On Saturday afternoon, we went to lunchroom 't Zoete Genot for dinner. We ordered the Meat Lovers. The food looked great at first glance, but unfortunately, it didn't go as planned. The next day, two of us experienced severe stomach upset and diarrhea. We can't prove it for sure, but it seems strongly related to the food there. It's a shame, because we were really looking forward to it, and the service was otherwise friendly. We won't be back anytime soon.

Not knowing, unaware of this concept, we were surprised by the gyoza's, a melting saltiness accompanied by the greenest soya beans we've ever seen. Hence, we enjoyed the burning sun, sitting on the triangle shaped terrace. Thankfull for the friendly and helpfull staff we say goodbye gracefully. Amen

Rustic and cozy. Fast, attentive service. We were there for our second breakfast and everything was delicious.

Uitgebreide menukaart, sfeervol ingericht erg vriendelijk personeel! We hebben heerlijk gedineerd. De klassieke Caesar Gamba salade, was goed gevuld met diverse lekkernijen en de eendenborst filet daar kon je je vingers bij aflikken.😋 Dame blanche heerlijk én nog wel voor n lage prijs (7€) vergeleken met andere restaurants , daarentegen was de Spaanse koffie ook n lekkernij. Chapeau!

Never eaten so tasteless and that even for a simple sate. Meat seemed artificial and the sauce was also not hackable! Too bad, but I never want to go here again.

Unfortunately, it wasn't tasty, even though it had good reviews and wasn't full. The Mediterranean bread with crispy chicken was just breading with very little meat. The bread consisted of small chips. The salad underneath had no dressing. A mass-produced meal for tourists. The spicy chicken toast wasn't tasty either. The meat was far too wobbly, the salad was too stale, and the cucumbers were shriveled.

Bread salad consisted of: bread chips, croutons, sliced ​​flatbread, 1 spoon each of tomato, cucumber, onion… that’s it!

I don't usually go to a restaurant with high expectations unless I've checked things out beforehand. Here, I had a nice surprise: I received a delicious gluten-free sandwich. We felt very comfortable.

Het personeel is uiterst vriendelijk en je bestelling is er best heel snel. Verder ziet het er gezellig uit, een leuk terras en veel keuze. Wij hadden een schnitzel met satesaus. Was lekker maar wellicht is t handig de saus er apart bij te doen. Tevens hadden wij de Aziatische salade. Best lekker alleen de combi met de salademix is niet geweldig. De rest is echt superlekker. Dus dat was jammer

Wow, what a wonderful oasis of restaurants, and this happened to us! The service was fast and friendly, the food was very good, the atmosphere in the bustling square was great. Too bad the camera didn't come with me, but tomorrow is another chance 😋❤️

On Saturday, May 3, 2025, I had lunch at 't sweet delight. We took a seat on the cozy terrace in the center of Arcen. Our drinks were taken very quickly, the food was also taken quickly by the waitress. Actually, the speed was a positive trend throughout the visit. I went for the 12 o'clock and my tablemate went for the carpaccio sandwich. You can choose between white and bread bread. We both went for brown bread. The 12 hour meal was delicious, as a soup I got asparagus soup with it, delicious and fits perfectly with the season. The croquette and egg salad were also delicious. This also applied to the carpaccio sandwich finished with tomatoes, croutons and truffle mayonnaise. Stayed for a drink after dinner. It also looks very cozy inside, I saw this during my walk to the toilet. The only comment I can give is that the ventilation in the toilet is very dirty, it is full of dust! All in all, a very cozy and nice lunchroom where I would like to come again!

Wij waren met een gemengd gezelschap van 13 volwassenen, tieners en kinderen. Een heel vriendelijke dame kwam onze bestelling opnemen en we hadden 13 verschillende gerechten. Deze werden allemaal samen een klein half uurtje later geserveerd! Elk gerechtje zeer mooi gepresenteerd en ruim voldoende voor iedereen. Het terras ligt centraal en bij mooi weer nog aantrekkelijker om te vertoeven.

The pancake was an absolute disaster! It stank & tasted like it was bathed in the same fat that the fries are fried in... the "pistachio filling" was pure butter and tasted more disgusting than anything I've eaten before The toppings for the pancake are served in self-service bottles and are sticky, so the finders need to be washed 4 times afterwards

gezellige tent goede bediening maar wij vonden het eten zeer matig helaas. Het was er erg druk en wij hadden goede recensies gelezen en keken er naar uit maar het eten viel helaas tegen. Of alles zelf gemaakt is hadden we onze vraagtekens bij.

Quickly come inside for a delicious Lunch! Highly recommended! I had a Lunch Etagere myself.. What a wonderful layout! Tasted delicious, and a decent flat Beemster cheese was served! As a Beemster supplier I can certainly appreciate this! Quality! In short, I will definitely come back here!

We come to Arcen regularly because we like to spend a weekend at the local thermal baths. We are slowly making our way through all of Arcen's restaurants, which are all quite good. We didn't have a reservation here, but we got nice seats at the back of the restaurant, slightly elevated. My girlfriend had the duck breast, I had the spare ribs. Both were very tasty, the spare rib portion was good, there was also a kind of aioli dip and a chili/Asian dip that was fruity and spicy at the same time. Not too spicy...still tasty ;). In addition, the fries, which are essential in Holland, were served as a shared portion in a bowl. We will definitely come back - lovely restaurant.
