Delicious and not too expensive!

Nice place, even had a chat with the chef, great atmosphere, highly recommended.

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. We found the food a bit disappointing. The starter was tasty, the main course was less so. There were too many fries and the salad wasn't good. The first rack of spareribs was fine, the second less so. The hamburger was fine.

Had a delicious lunch. Limburg hospitality. Arcen is a small, cozy village. Visiting the castle gardens costs €23.50 per person. Plenty of places to eat and drink in the village. And by the Meuse.

Lovely shop with a cozy atmosphere and friendly service. The food was delicious, and you could tell that much of it was prepared with love. Unfortunately, the cake wasn't fresh/homemade. Otherwise, everything was really great; we felt very comfortable!

We are on vacation in Arcen. We had dinner once and lunch once. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. Carpaccio for lunch is listed under starters, along with a 12 o'clock platter with onion soup, beef croquette, bread with a fried egg, ham/cheese, and delicious tuna salad. For dinner, we had the sweet hamburger with compote and cheese, and the chicken satay. Plenty of fries and mayonnaise served separately. Highly recommended

Wonderful! Great atmosphere, though it can sometimes be difficult to find a table when the weather is nice. The staff is very friendly, the food is always fresh and absolutely delicious, with a seasonally changing menu (the bread salad is highly recommended in summer). The parking situation is beyond their control; however, free parking is available within a short walk, which in no way justifies deducting a star.

We ate there after a hike. The service was very friendly. The food arrived quickly and was very good! We will definitely eat there again if we are in the area.

VOF Lunchroom 't Zoete Genot is a lovely spot for lunch or a cup of coffee. The friendly service ensures you feel at ease quickly. Moreover, in good weather, it is very pleasant to sit on the beautiful terrace. The menu offers good options. The delicious steak is highly recommended; it was beautifully tender and well-seasoned. To finish, the waffle is a nice tip: be sure to choose "go Nuts with a waffle," as that combination tastes very good. In short, a great location that is certainly worth a visit.

It's a shame about the two cigar-smoking Germans who quickly made both the terrace visitors and the neighbors at Sjef's disappear. It's a pity that this is still allowed in 2026. We decided not to eat because of the stinking cigar smell. We put ours down immediately and ate somewhere else. The terrace was otherwise pleasant, but the arrogant Germans kept arrogantly lighting one cigar after another to provoke. Hopefully, they will soon experience the consequences of smoking this...

When we are in Arcen, we cannot miss ‘t Zoete Genot. Everything is great and the service is also very friendly, so if you want to enjoy a nice drink or meal, this is definitely the place to be.

Very friendly staff. I had a delicious farmer's pancake and a drink here. The atmosphere is cozy, and when the weather is nice, you can also sit comfortably on the terrace. The restaurant is located in the middle of the village of Arcen, which has a charming feel. There are various nice shops, including a cheese shop with delicious cheeses. A nice place to stop by for lunch, dinner, or a drink during a visit to Arcen.

I briefly thought we were just going to get some fries, but I was mistaken. Inside it was really cozy and the food was very good, tasty and plentiful. We ordered kibbeling and got a salad and hand-cut fries with it. It really was a large portion of kibbeling. We had a nice, relaxed meal. We ordered some nice drinks as well and the bill was reasonable! I give this place a solid 9.

A lovely cafe and restaurant! Great rustic yet stylish decor. Seating is available both indoors and outdoors (in a small market square). The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff. The food was fantastic! We tried the Panzanella, simply delicious! 👍 The rest of the menu was also great! 👍👍👍

I can't comment on the food, we only had drinks. The service was very friendly and quick, and the latte macchiato was delicious with a butter cookie. While we were there, someone was playing the violin in the small square; it was very pleasant and relaxing.

We had a wonderful lunch! The quality of the food was excellent and everything tasted great. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere pleasant. One small point for improvement: just checking in briefly to see if everything was to our liking and being more attentive to empty glasses would have been enough – we would have happily ordered something extra. All in all, a wonderful lunch experience – we'd love to come back.

We had a wonderful meal at "Het Zoete Gesture" (Sweet Delight). The atmosphere is pleasant, both on the outdoor terrace and inside, where the staff are friendly and helpful. Changes to the menu were no problem, and the dishes arrived quickly. In short, a great place to dine!

A really lovely café, we absolutely loved it. It was super cozy, the music wasn't too loud, just pleasant. The food was sooo good! Huge selection, everything fresh and really delicious. We went with our grandma (with a walker) – no problem, everything was easily accessible + even a wheelchair-accessible restroom 👍 one of our best experiences in the Netherlands 👌🇳🇱

On Saturday afternoon, we went to lunchroom 't Zoete Genot for dinner. We ordered the Meat Lovers. The food looked great at first glance, but unfortunately, it didn't go as planned. The next day, two of us experienced severe stomach upset and diarrhea. We can't prove it for sure, but it seems strongly related to the food there. It's a shame, because we were really looking forward to it, and the service was otherwise friendly. We won't be back anytime soon.

Not knowing, unaware of this concept, we were surprised by the gyoza's, a melting saltiness accompanied by the greenest soya beans we've ever seen. Hence, we enjoyed the burning sun, sitting on the triangle shaped terrace. Thankfull for the friendly and helpfull staff we say goodbye gracefully. Amen

Uitgebreide menukaart, sfeervol ingericht erg vriendelijk personeel! We hebben heerlijk gedineerd. De klassieke Caesar Gamba salade, was goed gevuld met diverse lekkernijen en de eendenborst filet daar kon je je vingers bij aflikken.😋 Dame blanche heerlijk én nog wel voor n lage prijs (7€) vergeleken met andere restaurants , daarentegen was de Spaanse koffie ook n lekkernij. Chapeau!

Bread salad consisted of: bread chips, croutons, sliced ​​flatbread, 1 spoon each of tomato, cucumber, onion… that’s it!

Unfortunately, it wasn't tasty, even though it had good reviews and wasn't full. The Mediterranean bread with crispy chicken was just breading with very little meat. The bread consisted of small chips. The salad underneath had no dressing. A mass-produced meal for tourists. The spicy chicken toast wasn't tasty either. The meat was far too wobbly, the salad was too stale, and the cucumbers were shriveled.

I don't usually go to a restaurant with high expectations unless I've checked things out beforehand. Here, I had a nice surprise: I received a delicious gluten-free sandwich. We felt very comfortable.
