Nice to take a walk through the arboretum first and then have something to drink or eat. Lovely large, atmospheric terrace. Atmospheric inside as well. Very warm service. Excellent coffee, tea, and apple pie. Limited parking nearby, but plenty within walking distance through the park.

On May 2, 2026, we celebrated our love here—our wedding! What a day and what a beautiful location. We wanted a venue where we could enjoy ourselves in a relaxed setting with each other and our guests! That certainly happened. The location in the forest offers space and a lovely, convivial atmosphere. Naturally, we were very happy that the weather gods were on our side, allowing the ceremony, drinks, and dinner to take place outdoors. Communication with Doortje was excellent; she is always ready to help and, together with us, ensured that everything was well organized and coordinated. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful; compliments to the staff! The brasserie is perfectly suited for a spectacular party, and delicious finger food is served during the celebration as well. Our wedding was everything we hoped for, and we are still thoroughly enjoying the memories. Landgoed Schovenhorst will always remain a special place for us, and we will certainly return to relive beautiful memories and, who knows, perhaps celebrate our anniversary in the future. Many thanks to Doortje and all the staff at Schovenhorst. Your location is a gem! Cherish that.

Surprisingly lovely spot, hidden among the greenery 🌿 Brasserie Schovenhorst feels a bit like accidentally discovering a well-kept secret. You don't park right in front of the door, but first have to walk a short distance through nature — about 500 meters from the Schovenhorst Estate car park — and that actually makes the arrival quite nice. As if lunch needs to be earned first. 🚶‍♀️ The brasserie is beautifully situated on the Schovenhorst Estate in Putten, right in the middle of the Veluwe, in a walled garden surrounded by lots of greenery. The estate is known for its arboretums, beautiful walking paths, and even a Forest Tower for those who want to be brave after lunch. 🌳 We were pleasantly surprised. A beautiful large terrace, a lovely courtyard, plenty of choice on the menu, and friendly service. Because the weather was beautiful, we had a lovely lunch outside 🍽️ In short: lovely brasserie, beautiful surroundings, relaxed atmosphere. A bit hidden, but that makes it extra fun. We would love to come back again. Tip: wear shoes that allow you to cover those few hundred meters from the parking lot without complaining. The reward awaits afterwards. 😉

It is very nice to go for a drink after a walk and/or a visit to the Bostoren. The people are very friendly and the value for money is also very good. It seems like a beautiful place to hold a wedding.

Nice service, but it was a meager charcuterie board. It didn't live up to the description and the meat was dried out. As if it were a board served with leftovers. Yuck!

Had a drink here on Easter Sunday after a long walk through the woods of Putten. Everything is closed in Putten on that day. Lovely in the garden. Friendly and fast service.

There were four of us friends out for a day of walking and enjoying coffee and lunch. Since we couldn't choose from the various delicious cakes, the waitress suggested ordering one of each and sharing them. That was a great idea! To our surprise, we all received a platter with a combination of all the cakes, topped with a beautiful dollop of whipped cream in the middle. How delicious and what a great idea! The coffee and cake were delicious. We returned later in the afternoon for lunch. It was lovely sitting in the sun, with the same hospitable and friendly service as that morning. The lunch was very tasty and beautifully presented. During our lunch, the same waitress came to tell us that her work for the day was done; she was flying to a distant holiday destination that evening. What a warm and cozy atmosphere and place, thanks in part to the cordial staff! A place to come back to again!

We had a lovely time outside on the terrace with three friends. We'd reserved a table in advance. Our lunch included bread and an omelet with mushrooms and bacon.

The weather was perfect, so we could sit in the sunshine in a beautiful setting! The service was quick and friendly! We hadn't made a reservation, but luckily there was a table available for a large group.

On May 23, 2025, we had our wedding at Schovenhorst Estate. It was exactly what we envisioned: an outdoor wedding surrounded by nature, surrounded by all our loved ones. Everything was perfectly organized. We discussed everything in advance, first with Marloes, and then Doortje took over seamlessly. Communication was clear, and nothing was too much trouble. They also acted quickly on the day itself when we unfortunately couldn't have our ceremony outdoors in the woods due to the bad weather. You couldn't wish for a more beautiful setting. Schovenhorst is like something out of a fairytale; it's so beautiful. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks in part to them, our day was perfect. Thanks again, team Schovenhorst!

We had Christmas brunch here this afternoon. The food was incredibly delicious and we were offered a wide variety. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Even though our son was struggling, they even wrapped our dessert for us. Highly recommended!

I've been here several times this week and I'm very satisfied. I found the specialty coffee a bit pricey for what you get, but the rest of the products are definitely worth the money. Highly recommended: try the Mediterranean roll with caramelized goat cheese. I don't really like goat cheese (or so I thought), but it sounded so delicious on the menu that I thought, just try it! Well, I've rarely had something this delicious; it goes perfectly with the beets, and the crunchy caramel topping makes it perfect. What a flavor explosion! So good that I went back later this week. The team is also very friendly and polite. If I'm ever in the area again, I know where I'll be eating. Beautiful surroundings, too! Thanks!

We celebrated Grandma's 80th birthday with a high tea at Brasseie Schovenhorst with 12 people. The brasserie itself has beautiful windows overlooking the garden, but they've erected a large, dark, black tent in front of them to accommodate more people. This turns the brasserie into a dark hole with little natural light, and from the outside, the venue looks like a military encampment or a scout camp. Such a shame! This greatly increases the capacity, but it also makes it a massive, commercial affair. Inside the brasserie, we were seated at a long table in the middle of the room. The acoustics are very noisy and restless, making it difficult to hear the person across the table. This wasn't very convenient for our family and Grandma. Two days earlier, I had sent an email asking if we could be placed off to the side or in a separate room. We were told they couldn't promise anything but would do their best. That morning, I called the brasserie again. I spoke to staff on the phone who told me, clearly and curtly, that the brasserie was fully booked, everything was set up, and nothing could be changed. One of our family members had already attended this high tea a month earlier. The quality was noticeably lower this time. The tomato soup was served in small, Duralex HEMA water glasses. Not festive. The sandwiches were fine, but basic and quite large. The month before, they had been more like small, savory snacks. We had to ask for a pot of water for tea several times. The staff was very busy. The entire location is far too full, too crowded, too massive, and too commercial. The fact that there are only two toilets for women also indicates that this building wasn't originally designed for so many people. The woods surrounding the brasserie were also overflowing on Sunday afternoon. Parking was no longer available in the parking lot.

A beautiful location perfect for a wedding, with a ceremony in the woods, birdsong, specialty beers from Putten, and delicious food. We had a truly fantastic day and can highly recommend Schovenhorst!

What a wonderful place for lunch! Lovely terrace overlooking a beautiful garden. Very friendly, cheerful staff, and excellent service. I had the toasted sandwich with Parma ham, brie, and fig chutney. Delicious! The menu offers a variety of interesting and delicious dishes. Highly recommended.

In May 2025, we got married at this beautiful forest location. It felt right from the start: the location, the atmosphere, the communication. There are plenty of options for how to design your wedding, allowing us to tailor it entirely to your wishes. Our contact person (Marloes) was easily accessible and always helpful in finding options and additions when we had questions. Just before the wedding, we changed contact persons, but this was also clearly communicated and went very smoothly. Everything was thoroughly discussed and carried out as agreed, but they were also flexible when needed. During the wedding, the staff wasn't overly obtrusive, but they were there to help and take care of everything for us. The food was also excellent, and we received many compliments about it. We are very happy with our choice to get married at Brasserie Schovenhorst and would definitely recommend this wedding venue for both the location and the communication during the preparations!

Had lunch yesterday. You have to allow plenty of time for lunch. Had lunch yesterday. Drinks arrived very quickly. Then we had to wait a long time for our order to be taken. Even after asking, it took a long time. The waitress was busy chatting with two men. Then, after ordering, we had to wait another long time. We then asked if they had forgotten us. The lunch was delicious, but the service yesterday was really poor.

A lovely spot for lunch in the middle of the woods with a beautiful garden. The staff is friendly and the menu is varied. The interior isn't too large, but it's cozy. There's a spacious terrace. We started with truffle fries and nachos. A good choice, very tasty! We then opted for a 12-o'clock snack (fine, but instead of regular sandwiches, something like farmhouse bread would be a bit tastier), a goat cheese toastie (a bit dry), a Parma ham/brie toastie (delicious), and a children's menu with fries and a frikandel (fine). Definitely a nice place to go.

The party was in the Brasserie. The food was delicious, and we had a large BBQ. Everything was perfectly organized. We discussed everything with Doortje beforehand so that everything was perfectly arranged on the day itself. A fantastic location in the woods.

We got married on May 20, 2025, at the most beautiful location in the middle of the woods. After visiting several venues, I knew deep down that this was where I wanted to get married. The surroundings and the venue itself are stunning. Everything on the day was perfectly taken care of, including the preparations. We are grateful to you for our beautiful day.

Fantastic place for lunch after a walk in the woods around Putten. The staff is very friendly, and the lunch portions are generous! I had a carpaccio on Mediterranean bread (with lots of delicious olives, pine nuts, sun-dried tomatoes, salad, and much more!). It was a surprise what I would find on my bread. My friend had a generously filled omelet with wild mushrooms, onions, bacon, etc. We had a delicious meal on a beautiful terrace. Afterwards, we admired the large trees just behind the brasserie. Highly recommended!

This is a great place to stay on a sunny day and therefore a popular stop for cyclists and hikers. Enjoyed the good coffee and had a delicious lunch. Experience with delivery of rented items at Brasserie Schovenhorst We recently rented items to a customer who celebrated their wedding at Brasserie Schovenhorst. The location itself is beautiful. On Friday, June 6, we delivered the rented materials. The employees who received us were friendly and helpful. We spoke to a male employee, probably the manager. He indicated that there was also a party planned for Saturday and asked us to pick up the items before 10:30. Saturday morning we arrived at 10:07, after a drive of over an hour. Upon arrival, we asked a young waitress where our items from the previous day were. She immediately referred to two crates. When we asked why the items had not been neatly placed together, the manager (male) came over. His explanation was that some items, including six white chair covers, would otherwise get wet. The manager then started rummaging through our crates without consulting us and claimed that one of the covers belonged to them. I indicated that this cover was new and belonged to us. The incident felt unpleasant as if we as “outsiders” would take something that was not ours. When I expressed my indignation, he indicated that he did not understand why I was angry. In our eyes it would have been polite to keep all the stuff together, especially since there were multiple suppliers. We then asked where the rest of our stuff was. The waitress pointed to a room next door. It turned out that our other materials had been placed outside, despite the heavy rain on June 7. Some items (including MDF) should not get wet. Much of it was soaked and damaged. Any reasonable person knows that you should not place wood (MDF) outside in a humid environment, but even then everyone knows that you should not place items when it was raining or had rained, especially if they are rented or borrowed items. They are not your property. When we asked who was responsible for this, the manager indicated that this was the responsibility of the master of ceremonies. According to him, the items had to be picked up at 9:00. They need space. However, the information we received from the staff on Friday was that picking up before 10:30 was sufficient. We then contacted the master of ceremonies, who in turn put the responsibility back on the location. Whoever is ultimately responsible: this is not how you treat someone else's belongings. Advice to future bridal couples: be alert at this location and make sure you work with a master of ceremonies who communicates well and takes responsibility. And to the management of Brasserie Schovenhorst: a little self-reflection would not hurt. Take more responsibility for items from external suppliers, just as you would want others to treat your property. Hopefully both parties can learn from this.

Beautiful location. But price quality is not right. For example the goat cheese salad, (18.50) lettuce almost impossible to find, 3 nuts. And then just bread instead of fresh. Small coffee cups. 12 o'clock (16.50) too expensive for what you get. Tuna salad mediocre in quality. Too bad. Previously used to better quality.

What a treat to come here after a lovely hike in de surrounding forest. They have a great choice for vegetarians and the staff is absolutely amazing! In the midst of the busy Christmas season they were able to seat us in the midst of the cosy chaos and were super quick and friendly.

We celebrated our wedding at the Koetshuis and the Werkstee at Brasserie Schovenhorst. The food (winter BBQ) at the Koetshuis was delicious, beautiful stylish space where you could get everything you wanted through a buffet. The party with DJ in the Werkstee was the icing on the cake. The service was very good and attentive. Everyone enjoyed it and that's what it's all about in the end. Highly recommended to arrange your wedding or party at Brasserie Schovenhorst. I wouldn't recommend eating here. Although the food was tasty, the service is non-existent. Tables are wet and dirty even after we asked to clean them. We waited 20 minutes to order and less than 30 minutes to get food. The waiter who works here is rude.

We often come here for lunch. Wonderful place for coffee, pastries, lunch or drinks. If is just as tasty. Super nice staff. And the environment is fantastic.

When we arrived it took a while before we could order a drink. Then apparently they took other people's food orders and not us. So after a while we asked the employee if we could order something. That turned out not to be possible because a group had arrived after us and they were given priority. A conversation with the employee about the fact that we arrived earlier and wanted to order a small, easy meal did not help. What an arrogant man. We have considered organizing a party at this location, but we have decided against that now.

Don't try to have lunch here on a nice Sunday. We waited 30 minutes to order, but then it would take another half hour before we would get it. Getting married in the middle of the forest is a fairytale and of course the beautiful photos on the estate and the forest tower. We also received many words of praise from our guests. It gave a lot of peace that the entire day could take place in one location with the different atmospheres, the Werkstee during the day and the party in the Brasserie in the evening. After an error prior to the wedding, everything was resolved neatly. Two small points for improvement: we missed the 'promised' extra flowers and eucalyptus, and at one of the two dinner tables the guests sat at different angles due to a somewhat strange arrangement of the chairs, which made pleasant dining a bit difficult. The price-quality ratio is very good; an affordable location for a fairytale wedding. In short, we are very satisfied, thanks for everything!

Last May we celebrated our wedding here at the Werkstee farm. It is an absolutely beautiful location in the forest! We discussed our wishes with Marloes and there are many options here. Everything here was completely possible according to our wishes. Also super convenient and nice that everything can be done at the same location, so we had the ceremony in the forest opposite the workshop. The area also offers a beautiful location to take photos. Two small downsides on the day itself were that it sometimes took a little while before I got my drink, which is a bit annoying if you as a bride would like to move on to speak to other guests. I also requested a small adjustment in the menu that was not available at the time, but this was resolved immediately. The food was also of good quality. It's nice that the farm with the stretch tent functions as both an indoor and outdoor location, so that even when it rains you have many options to stay dry without feeling trapped. Prices are also reasonable. Truly a beautiful and magical location to celebrate your wedding!

Nice place. Parking is very unclear. The food is not very special but the service is good. You can have a nice stop there. I think the climbing tower and such is very nice for walking. Nice forest to go with the dog.

Just had a drink but very nice area and good service.

Once more to Brasserie De Schovenhorst for a cappuccino and a portion of 'arretjescake'. But this time the weather was not clement, so we had to find a table inside for the first time. I can say, that I prefer the outdoor seating area, but that wasn't to be this time. Furthermore, there wasn't really anything wrong with the food and coffee and the service, except for the eye-watering bill. But that is standard in the Netherlands. A parking area is situated some 200 meters down the unpaved road into the woods. But this parking area tends to fill up quickly.

We got married last week on the Schovenhorst estate in the Werkstee. Our compliments to the organization and the employees. Everything was well organized and the food was delicious.
