In the summer, it's a lovely spot for a drink or sorbet. It's also a great spot in other seasons. Pleasant service. It's a great place for lunch or dinner. It's a relaxed spot.

We had a delicious meal at Het Smulhuis in Putten, and it was a great price too. Everything tasted fantastic. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the service was top-notch. The restaurant was also festively decorated for Christmas, which made it even more charming. Highly recommended, we'd love to come back! 🙌✨

I just managed to pick up a complete meal here at 8:45 pm, last minute, consisting of delicious salmon and wonderfully crispy fries. I had to drive about 10 minutes before I could eat it, but it was still warm and crispy, the salad was separately wrapped and wonderfully fresh and refreshing! Now I know where I can get good, fresh food for a good, fair price! Oh, and it was clean, and the lady and gentleman were very friendly. Thank you so much! Until next time.

I was a little hesitant given the bad reviews about the service. However, the service was excellent and friendly. The decor was nice. The main course arrived very quickly after my bowl of soup. The schnitzel was delicious, although not fried in oil. And I really don't like Dame Blanche with soft serve ice cream.

Not nice 😕. The menu is only in Dutch. I mean we live in the digital era, how difficult is to have an English digital menu? The kids menu is sausage and fries, really? The Wien schnitzel was not well cooked. In general the service and atmosphere was not nice, there was a lot of smoke and all the clothes now smells like food.

Great little restaurant at a small holiday park. The food is delicious, the pork tenderloin satay with satay sauce was delicious. The meat was tender and generous, with a salad and fries. I got the bear's claw with fries to go. It was neatly wrapped. Very friendly young people. Perhaps a bigger container of satay sauce would be nice. ;)

The food is delicious (except for the peanut sauce), but the service is lacking. The first time we ate here, we ordered takeout. It took over 40 minutes for the food to be ready. Not a big deal, but this should be mentioned when ordering so I can wait at home. The second time I wanted to order, I called to pick up. I called four times and each time was on hold for 10 minutes without being able to speak to anyone.

Not recommended anymore. Although the food was delicious, the service was extremely slow and poor. The food for four people arrived separately, with tables being swapped by the staff. And just before you get your meal, they come over to tell you that the bread is for free per person... When you get your dinner, you still have to wait for cutlery before you can even start. The service used to be excellent, but unfortunately, not anymore.

We were a bit late the first time, but we still enjoyed delicious burgers, and came back the next day for more. They tasted great and were quite filling. Satisfied and with a full stomach, we returned to the hotel. Definitely recommended.

Good food and friendly staff, went to eat today

We were there last night and were not disappointed. Very friendly service, a pleasant atmosphere, and the food we had was extremely delicious, beautifully presented, and everything was fresh. We were there by chance, but we would come back again if we're in the area. The price/performance ratio was absolutely perfect.

Zonder reserveren kunnen gaan zitten. De reden om hierheen te gaan was de trek in snacks ( na meerdere keren eten in restaurant die week). De menukaart bekeken en bleek zelfde als andere restaurants. Aan de buiten zijde was een afhaal loket voor snacks. Desgevraagd de rede van onze komst gezegd en daar waren zij niet moeilijk in. Alsnog de snacks besteld en die aldaar opgegeten. De kwaliteit was écht geweldig. De patat (friet) was geweldig. Maar ook de frikandel, berehap en Dobbe kroket en vooral de pindasaus heerlijk. Wat een aanrader is dit restaurant !

We were on vacation and happened upon this place. Very tasty and well-filled burgers at fair prices. You can also sit outside. Nice service.

Always enjoy yourself at the Smulhuisje! Both inside and outside, equally cozy. Diverse menu (delivery and collection is also possible), also for vegetarians, and the friendliest staff.

It was delicious, they have delicious ice cream and the service is really fantastic. The atmosphere was a bit lower, because there were only screaming children, but you can expect that from a snack bar. 5 stars.

For such a small catering establishment, they do everything they can to make everyone happy and the food is excellent considering the price.

We were allowed to choose a table. We had a choice of outdoor tables. Unfortunately the table wasn't wiped down for us. Some of what we wanted was gone. We had to choose something else. The food was brought without cutlery. At first we sat there believing that it would still happen. Because it was meat and it was pretty fresh outside, our food was starting to get cold. We had to draw our attention. The waitress first went into the restaurant. And after a few minutes others came to us with cutlery. The steak strips on my salad were covered with a thick layer of spices, especially salty. My husband's steak was coated with the same layer. Luckily he didn't have any spices deep into the meat, so he could still tolerate the saltiness. I have to say, we were hungry and walked about 4 km. I also ate my salad and tried to reduce the salt from the meat with salad. I regretted that afterwards. My mouth and palate felt like they had been burned afterwards. Unfortunately I gave my son many more pieces of meat. One can only guess why chefs season meat inedibly to make it edible? Now I have a bit of a phobia about ordering something like that in a restaurant. Of course we told the waitress. Not really seen a reaction. Next time, no matter where, I'll send a dish like this back to the kitchen.

We took a vegetarian burger that was very spicy even if the menu didn't say it was any spicy. Additionally it took very long for the male waiter to notice us. The female waiter payed more atention. In the end it took us too long to pay at the table, so we went to bar to pay.

Tweemaal kort na elkaar gegeten, beide keren was het top. Heerlijke plateservice. Ruim voldoende, geweldige schnitzel en overheerlijke biefstuk.

We have eaten and drank coffee in the Smul house several times and each time we leave very satisfied and satisfied. Delicious food and good price-quality ratio. Top service! They are very friendly and nothing is too much for them. We are happy to accommodate your wishes and serve you with a smile! You can sit inside and when the weather is nice you can sit outside on the terrace. Highly recommended for young and old.

Nice tent on a bungalow park.. We got 2 farmer's fries (read: onions, bacon and mushrooms) which we have never eaten before. Great!.. tip: also offer a fried egg on top.

During a bike ride here, the four of us stopped for lunch. Fast service, friendly staff and excellent food. Our bike tour continued full and satisfied.

Ordered a hamburger special, got a sandwich with a dollop of mayonnaise and curry sauce and a burger with 3 onion rings. Also half a bowl of fries Berenhap normally comes with satay sauce, I had to pay for it separately and had to look for where it was. Sorry, but the quality has deteriorated considerably. The service has also deteriorated.

Nice restaurant with friendly and efficient service. The Hert beer is highly recommended. The steak and schnitzels are fine, the pork tenderloin satay is on the (very) economical side with 2 small skewers. The fries are excellent in terms of taste and quantity. The (soft) ice cream is fine, but the warm apple crumble pie is also a tasty ending.

At first glance it looks very cozy... I decided to take a seat... but I noticed that the few tables that were there were all waiting... the service was nothing to rave about. to write.. finally after 20 minutes we took the order for something to drink and they brought the menu card... had to ask about this several times again.. (in the meantime the people around us were already asking for the food but in this went much faster) after 60!!! Within a few minutes they came and asked grumpily what we wanted... after which we paid the bill for the 2 drinks and went to Benny's in the center for a delicious meal!! It may have been an off day, but it wasn't worth seeing how they were flopping around like headless chickens.

Cozy, good food and great surroundings, and yes, you CAN also sit inside if you want to. No wow factor, but it was a lot better than what I expected from a snack counter.

We hadden gereserveerd en werden met ons hondje vriendelijk ontvangen. Eerst iets drinken: een rosé en Hert weizenbier. Daarna ieder een plate, wienerschnitzel en mijn partner een kip tandoori. Erbij patat en flinke portie salade, appelmoes en mayonaise. Tot slot een flink ijsdessert met advocaat en slagroom. Het was heerlijk! De bediening was vlot en vriendelijk. Even met de eigenaar gesproken. Het was daar schoon en dat geldt ook voor de toilet. We vinden het een aanrader!

Delicious chicken satay. In other reviews I see complaints about fries, well that's fine. A bit forced to make it cozy, but the service is attentive, fast and always asks if everything is to your liking. From a commercial point of view it could be better, for example asking again for extra drinks. I come here at most once a year but it is always good.

Made a reservation here on Saturday evening for 15 people. When we arrived we had to set up the tables ourselves. We sat in the canopy but the heater wasn't even on even though it was 5 degrees outside. After asking the waiter, the heater was turned on, but due to the draft, half of the party felt very cold. We had to wait a very long time for the food. The fries with the main course were really greasy. When we pointed this out, we acted as if we were complaining, but at our insistence we were given some new fries. After the main course the restaurant was fortunately empty so we sat inside to warm up. Before that I had sat with my coat over my legs and still had cold toes. We expressed our dissatisfaction while paying, but there was no apology or discount on the hefty bill. Always had a good meal here before, but this was really bad. We won't be coming back here again.
