Super nice people, very civilized

Nice old Dutch place. Had a delicious tropical smoothie. The menus are quite dirty and sticky. They could use more frequent cleaning. Otherwise, there are plenty of options to choose from, and the menu is quite extensive.

Great place for a brunch, they got a serious menu with many nice dishes, for me the kalfs liver is the best and unique, nobody else is doing it in Amsterdam. Also the owner is always kind and happy 😁

Until today, I'd occasionally come there to grab a bite to eat and a drink, and give my dog ​​some water from the always-provided bowl. Until today, because the bowl of water was on the "closed" patio, and when I asked the owner for some water for my dog, he reacted rather irritatedly and said there was a bowl on the patio. Yes! Closed patio. He clearly had no intention of doing anything, turned his back on me, and chatted very pleasantly with a few apparently regular customers. I've never encountered such a customer-unfriendly and rude person. Sorry, but what a jerk!

I've been coming here for drinks and food occasionally for 25 years, but today was the last time. My girlfriend had picked up some fried cod at the market, and we were eating it on the terrace. I knew it wasn't supposed to be that way, but I figured if we ate it quickly, it shouldn't be a problem. Then the owner realized it and made it very clear to us that it wasn't allowed, which resulted in a very awkward situation among the other customers on the terrace. I don't understand why the owner yelled at us like that... we'll never come back... customer service is clearly not in his vocabulary!

Not friendly staff, I wanted to sit inside with someone who is in a wheelchair, they said in an unfriendly way that a wheelchair is not allowed inside, so I will never come here again

Friendly service and value for money. The place is dated but very clean. Are genuinely concerned with food. Tasty, delicious old-fashioned dishes, such as fresh baked potatoes, chicken ragout patty, fried chicken livers, etc. One minus point on the hamburger bun was not fresh, but considering the delicious taste of everything, this was okay. Definitely come back and wonder how the rest tastes!

I come here weekly or biweekly for a coffee when I do my shopping. It seems to be family run. The server and manager (maybe) is one of the most gentle, down to earth and hardworking people I’ve ever come across. He always greets me with a smile that stretches far beyond the reach of the usual cafe server smile and always remembers my order. I could not say anything bad about this place or the people inside it. They are genuinely excited to receive business and to just interact with you. This place goes beyond food and drink and warms my heart. Please come and see for yourself

Service is traag door gebrek aan collega's maar ik zie dat ze enorm hard werken om alles zo snel mogelijk te leveren. Kwaliteit eten zeer tevreden mee en zeker in verhouding tot de prijzen. Ze zijn ook enorm klantvriendelijk en maken graag een praatje!

Every four weeks when I went to see a friend who is living in the area we went for lunch at Brasserie 't Siertje. Very nice place. Super friendly staff. Beautiful food. One of my favourites: Uitsmijter Rosbief or Uitsmijter Ham Kaas. Good coffee. And nice dessert. Fantastic Dame Blanche. Warmly recommended.
