BrewDog Amsterdam Centraal in Burgwallen-Nieuwe Zijde

Brewdog no longer exists in Amsterdam! I made a reservation via the website, but it turns out a different owner is running it; they don't take you seriously, the tables are dirty, the toilet is broken, and there is no service. In short, how badly can you organize something?

The service was very poor. The price-quality ratio is not okay; for almost €18 you get a hamburger without anything else on the side - it did taste good though. We have been here often, it is really a shame that it has gone downhill so much.

Looked for someplace quick to eat after walking around for most of the day. From the outside, it seemed to be a cute restaurant, but when we got our food, it was so so. We scoured around the terminal to see our options before heading inside so we hoped that we would enjoy it more. Food was more pub style so we didn't have high expectations going in, but my family and I were definitely not full after our meal.

Visited last Tuesday 31st March - Good first impressions when we arrived and nice looking place but that’s the only positive comment I can make. It’s the first place I’ve ever visited that I’ve asked for my money back (takes a lot for me). Ordered the buffalo chicken burger (I think it was called that) and it looked nice when it came but after a couple of bites realised it tasted strange and when I looked at the chicken it was black on the inside. I asked if I could swap for a standard burger as I was put off the chicken but was told no by the waitress as it was 50c more than the chicken. So I asked for my money back and left. Very strange server and staff seemed furious that I’d commented on the chicken being black?

They always have the same beer on tap. Would be much better if they rotated the beers.

Ok, NGL, I didn't eat here. We mistakenly forgot to download our train tickets for Paris and these nice people let us use their wifi to download them even though they weren't opened yet. 15/10 for service. Place looked nice, and I would totally house both a brew and a dog in a heartbeat!

Awful service, cold food and the worst BrewDog experience I’ve had. I’ve been to more than 10 BrewDog’s around the world and this has been the only and most awful experience.

There are places that win you over from the first bite, and my recent visit to this establishment was undoubtedly one of those occasions. The food was simply spectacular, exceeding all my expectations. As a regular customer, I tend to be quite demanding with my favorite dishes, but here they managed to elevate the experience to another level of culinary mastery. The carpaccio was a sublime start: the freshness of the ingredients and the balance of the dressings demonstrated impeccable technique. However, the real stars of the show were the wings. I must confess that they are one of my favorite dishes on any menu, and the ones I tried here were, in a word, exquisite. The texture was perfect, and the flavor left an unforgettable impression; they are definitely in a league of their own. Beyond the strictly gastronomic aspects, the atmosphere was greatly enriched by the human element. The waitress who served us was a paragon of professionalism; She was incredibly attentive and kind throughout our visit, anticipating our needs with a smile and warmth that was deeply appreciated. It's rare to find such a balanced combination of high-quality cuisine and such friendly, personal service. Without a doubt, it's a place I plan to return to very soon.

When ever in a new city I always have to visit a brewdog and this one was just as good 🍻 bar staff was amazing and had some of the best chicken wings I’ve had only managed a picture of the bones 😂

Nice beer. Terrible terrible terrible service. 40 minutes to get food (at a train station!). My mate had to leave to get his train. Chasing and chasing and chasing and chasing…. And then they admit they’ve lost the order and what was it again? Retrain staff and replace manger. P.S. also expensive.

My second time here, probably the last. In both cases, the reception was fairly cold. Good beer selection but I tend to get annoyed when I get served a pint like pictured, especially in a brewery pub. Well done, you saved a shot of beer, lost my support in exchange. They have good-looking pub/comfort food options on the menu and I appreciate they serve (also) vegetarian burgers. But the one I got came lukewarm. Basically everything I got was pretty much just about acceptable - doesn't quite push you over the line to go and complain but doesn't exactly impress you either. Sums up the place quite well, I guess.

Always a great experience here. I usually have a drink and a meal at this pub before I take the train to Paris. Freshly prepared tasty food and incredible beer selection. Polite service too and plenty of seats. Good location being at the edge of the station with a great view of the water outside and very convenient to walk into the station.

The burger meat was surprisingly delicious 👌 Good place to grab a bite and have a few beers before traveling, with a great atmosphere.

For all tourists visiting our beautiful city (I am living in Amsterdam myself): don’t go to this bar! The bar is unbelievably overpriced, and the service is the worst I’ve had in years. Please don’t go. For reference: we paid 55 euros for 6 beers.

The food was very mediocre and quite pricey, and the restrooms were also very dirty. The service was friendly, but there were too few staff.

Always great to pop in here when at Amsterdam Centraal. A proper taste of home, at fairly reasonable prices for Amsterdam. Very convenient bar for changing trains that's for sure, and don't forget your train beers from the fridge. Staff always friendly, service is very good. Have eaten here before and the food, whilst not cheap, is decent.

What a crappy place, you're not served. And when you go to the bar to order, there's a punk behind it who apparently doesn't understand Dutch or English. I paid €14.95 for a 0.2 liter Elvis juice and fries with mayo and ketchup. I feel completely ripped off. Not recommended!

Tourist trap! Sufficient staff, but not capable or service-oriented. Ordered 2 veggie burgers with large fries and a "salad". Add 2 drinks and you're well over 50 euros poorer. When the food was served, the fries were lukewarm to cold; 2 ordered mayonnaises were never delivered. If you ordered a canned drink, they put a deposit on the bill, while they just take the can back with them. Don't go here. So this is not how it should be! Shame on you, Brewdog!

Great location on the IJ. Unfortunately, the breakfast/brunch menu is no longer available, even though it's listed on the website! We had to wait quite a while for a beer, even though we were practically the only people in the room. They ran out of two beers from the draft list. It's a shame. It couldn't have been better. Google opening hours don't match the website.

Very good Buffalo Wings! Worth getting if you’re looking for legit wings. Apparently they have unlimited wings on Wednesdays so that might be worth a visit…🤔

We were having a good time with good beer as always on Brewdog. We ordered some wings, which were tasty. The problem was that the drumsticks were raw in the middle. My boyfriend went to the bar to tell them this, and the response was: "Are you afraid to tell them in the kitchen?" And my boyfriend, being puzzled, answered: "No? But that's your job" to what he replied it's not his responsibility. But my boyfriend proceeded to go out in the kitchen, where he was ignored at first, but then asked what he wanted. They asked if he wanted another batch, and he said yes. We got that. Drumsticks still raw, and we're just like: "Well, we're just gonna stick to the beer from now on."

The people working there were extremely helpful after I discovered I was allergic to an ingredient in the wings, they got me an alternative. Thankyou!

Pricey. Luckily, we weren't in a hurry because everything was cold the first time around: the wings, the burger, and the fries. The burger was a greasy, soggy mess, nothing special.

Kindest most energetic, sweetest staff you will ever find in any place. Always smiling going out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcome. Food, cafe, beer it is a really good choice to get a little rest after a long day in Amsterdam while you wait for your train. I definitely recommend it

The only Brewdog I’ve been to which refuses to serve tap water. In Scotland, you are obliged by law to serve tap water in pubs. Edit: they now serve tap water. Rating changed to 5 star

The food was decent, not worth what we paid but it was fine. Had a vegan burger and chips which came to around €22. I asked for a few tap waters for the table and was told rudely by the bartender, Rio Oka, that if I ask for anymore I'll have to get bottled still water and pay for it. There was 14 of us, after running the Amsterdam marathon so I was really taken back that they were so rude and had to pay considering how much we'd already spent.

Nice venue — shame about everything else. The prices are eye-watering, the service is downright rude, and the food could’ve come straight out of a leisure centre cafeteria. €10 for a pint, €16.50 for one of the worst burgers I’ve ever had — dry, bland, and utterly joyless. When we asked for water, we were told we’d be charged for it after our first glass of water (which may as well have been a shot glass) — after already dropping a small fortune. The staff couldn’t have been more uninterested if they tried. The final touch? The chef wheeling in a bucket, deliberately clattering it across the floor while locking eyes with us. The whole experience felt like a parody of bad hospitality. Avoid unless you enjoy overpaying for mediocrity and attitude.

Don't trust the staff here. Typical tourist trap tactics. Ordered a ,33 beer and received a pint. Not wanting to pay the pint price when I don't order it I asked for a ,33 again. The bartender poured from my pint glass into a smaller glass right up to the line where it's marked. ,20 and returned it to me. Not wanting to participate in whatever game they were playing, I left.

I don’t usually write reviews but I had to give kudos to people working here. The staff is incredibly nice and helpfull and go the extra mile to keep their customers happy. Food was very nice :) simple but effective.

A bar with a toilet that is "out of order" for multiple days is crazy. Honestly a bar with a toilet "out of order" for more than a single shift is crazy. Not the worst brewdog I've been to, but it's up there.

On your arrival to Amsterdam CS, if you are eager for a drink and delicious bites, BrewDog Amsterdam Central is the perfect place to visit and enjoy the moment!! Staff members are very kind and friendly! They have large varieties of beers and delicious food options! Great service, nice view and reasonable prices! Don’t miss it!!!!

BrewDog Pub in Amsterdam Central Station. Cozy location, very friendly staff, and a relaxed atmosphere. Great selection of draft beers. Ideal for passing the time until your train departs.

Nice spot for some tasty beers and bites while i awaited my eurostar train. I particularly loved the hazy jane. I got served by the nice african waitress who was a total sweetheart even when I accidentally spilled my beer. Bonus point for the strong free wifi and flexible charging ports.

We went here because the place looked nice and because we had a traveling schedule, the location was very convenient. The staff was welcoming and nice. The food arrived quickly after ordering. Maybe a bit pricey for the amount of food but that can also be because of the location. In total we had ordered two beef burgers, one vegetarian burger (Clucky Time) and one chicken burger (buffalo chicken) prepared with vegetarian chicken which according to the menu and the waitress was possible. For sides two times mac&cheese with the bacon separated next to the mac&cheese. The bacon was served in the mac&cheese, and we only received one vegetarian burger in total :(. As only one friend has a vegetarian diet, we had the possibility to switch around some plates. Because we had time pressure, waiting for another serving was not possible. Looking at the receipt there was no mention about making the non-vegetarian burger a vegetarian one. It also stated that the union had to be next to the mac&cheese instead of the bacon.

I’ve been a regular customer at Brewdog, but after my recent visit, I won’t be returning. I went in to order food and quickly stepped towards the restroom before placing the order—something I’ve done before without any issue. But this time, the staff reacted with shockingly rude behavior. One of the waiters loudly told me, “You should first place your order, then use our WC!”—and not in a polite or professional tone, but with a loud and disrespectful attitude, as if I was doing something wrong just for needing to use the bathroom. I completely understand if there’s a policy in place, but there’s a way to communicate with customers—especially loyal ones—and this was not it. The aggressive and unwelcoming approach was completely unnecessary. Sadly, after years of choosing Brewdog, this experience has made it my last visit.

Lovely spot away from the main hustle of the station. Beer was great as you'd expect and the patriot burger was top notch and really hit the spot. Would recommend the bitterballen as well!

Food was a bit on the expensive side. Iced Latte was very strong and the fries had little seasoning. Hotdog was aight. Good enough for a small lunch but probably would not go for a larger meal.

Love the vibe here. Trendy and upscale brewpub with a modern feel. The staff are great and accommodating. Sometimes a little short staffed I would say though. The food was decent and the beers are ok.
