Customer friendliness is hard to find with this van Pooij... a slim man who is super unfriendly. Maybe he has to work somewhere where there are no customers. Because you certainly don't want to talk to your customers as if they were a dog in your store. Apparently you are not allowed to look around, apparently customers need to know what is in stock without looking. 1 star is still too much! The other Van Pooij locations are friendly.

The 2 In 1 - De Nieuwe Bakkerij on the Zeestraat in Volendam is without a doubt the best bakery in - to be honest - the Netherlands! Bread is of excellent quality, e.g. pan white or Tuscany bread, bran bread or sunflower seed bread. Of course, there are also all kinds of cookies, such as the tasty peanut cookies, many packs of which have been eaten here, uhh... And flipping of course. Ice cream is sold on the right side of the store. The ladies are always cordial and service-oriented, even to 'jackets' like me. Would love to come there, every year!

Haven 98The special waffles are not fresh backed unfortunately, so I suggest to take a regular but hot.

Julianaweg 80My son has many food allergies. The staff member referred to a chart on the wall which listed all the allergens present in the different items. We were so happy to find delicious bread that my son could eat while on holiday! We bought biscuits for our friends and family that were also very delicious. Would highly recommend this bakery. Thank you very much.
