The best stroopwhafels at a great price compared to other places. 100% recommended.

We had a boat trip with a clog maker's workshop in Marken and a stroopwafel demonstration—or so we thought—but that turned out not to be the case. You are sent downstairs and we sat there waiting without instructions. After that, we went back upstairs. Apparently, they don't do demonstrations anymore, said the lady behind the counter after people asked for them. You did get a stroopwafel, though. So, not a success. Then stop offering this experience.

Delish! We did a “tasting” with our tour and ended up ordering a warm plain Stroopwafel each! Thank you!

The stroopwafels are baked in advance, they don’t even warm them up, you can buy better one few meters away in the shop called ‘Sweet little things' with a very friendly owner.

Without a doubt, the best stroopwafel we've ever had. The service was quick and the place very cozy. We ordered the chocolate one with Smarties and it was delicious.

Great little place. We arrived for a tour and they even put on a demonstration for us with a talk about the history of the Stroopwafel. It was the ladies first time and she smashed it. Her English was good and brought the experience alive. Definitely worth a visit and they are delicious too!

Waltje’s is a sweet lover’s dream. I tried the stroopwafels and they were fresh, warm, and absolutely delicious. The caramel filling was rich and perfectly balanced. A must-try spot if you want to taste authentic Dutch sweetness.

I came all the way from far-off Limburg for the stroopwafels I'd eaten earlier. Turns out they're closed. Nothing about it on their website or on Google. Sorely disappointed, this is so bad!

At Woltjes Bakkerij, I had the chance to try one of the most traditional Dutch desserts: the stroopwafel. It was freshly made, with a crispy exterior and a warm caramel filling that made it irresistible. The bakery offers a variety of typical Dutch sweets, all handcrafted and of very high quality. Everything feels authentic and true to traditional recipes. The atmosphere is simple and local, perfect for enjoying these desserts just as they're made in the Netherlands.

During our tour of the Dutch countryside and our stop in Volendam, we found this place where they sell typical desserts from Amsterdam and several other places we visited. It's undoubtedly the best. Its advantage is that everything is freshly made and the ingredients are all fresh. The price is standard, between €5 and €8 depending on the topping.

Good bakery products not too expensive

We got an explanation of how the stroopwafel is made. And of course, we tasted it. Pretty funny. This Woltjes stroopwafel was on the boat trip to Marken. And afterward, we had a photo taken in Volendam clothes, which cost 25 euros.

After 10 minutes, we were back outside with a stroopwafel and 15 euros lighter. Not recommended, this just doesn't make sense. I don't understand why people who liked it just listened to a 5-minute story and then bye-bye. This is just a nice way to fill the cash register for this company.

Overall the fresh stroopwaffels are good, but the staff is simply quite rude.

I am a fan of this place, the Dutch town of Volume Down, a beautiful coastal city with many services, seafood restaurants, cafes, bars, sweets and cheese shops. This is one of the famous sweets (waffle) and baked goods shops. The nice thing about the shop is that it overlooks the sea. You will love the view of the place as I loved it.

I can say that they were the most respectful and tourist-friendly palce during our visit to the Netherlands. They made delicious and hot waffles. I ate my fingers, so to speak. The inside is full of different kind of delicious snacks. I try to visit here every time I come to Holland. Definitely try this place. We were very pleased.

On April 28, I bought a box of Stroopwafels in Volendam for 15 euros, but they were so bad that I wanted to report this. Stroopwafels were tough. The expiration date was in the future, but that apparently doesn't mean much. It concerned the gift packaging with three packages with different flavors. So don't buy.

The special waffles are not fresh backed unfortunately, so I suggest to take a regular but hot.

The clerk didn't want to pay attention to the customers at all and only wanted to chat with his colleagues. It was really strange! I asked the store clerk why the chocolate waffles 🧇 were frozen. I asked the store clerk and said it was impossible. If it was hot, the chocolate would fall off 🤦🏻‍♂️

We had tickets for a stroopwafel presentation. The presentation was given in the basement (you need to take the stairs) and took but a few minutes, where the (short) history was explained and the method of how they were once prepared/baked. We then got to taste a freshly made one, followed by some stroopwafel liquor (which you should taste after you cleanse your palate from the stroopwafel). The basement was also a small museum, showing old attributes used and a bit more story of the stroopwafel history. When going back up you get to taste 3 different stroopwafels and receive a freshly made one to eat or take away. Staff was friendly and felt sincere. They really make the effort.

The best whipped cream I've ever had was here, it's incredibly dense and delicious, all kinds of waffles are available inside. You can buy gift packages or buy them fresh and eat them hot. There is a typical Dutch house exhibition on the top floor. It's very nostalgic and free to visit. If you come to Volendam, be sure to have dessert here.

Woltjes Backerji offers pistachio stroopwafel with generous toppings, but I found the waffles too sweet for my taste. However, the combination of fresh strawberries, bananas, and Nutella was enjoyable and balanced the flavors nicely.

They make stroopwaffles in front of you and it smells so good. It's an airy shop, not cramped. Prices are quite normal. You should try it.

Do not go here unless you have really bad cravings for sweets. These are passable at best. The waffles are 'modernized' versions with too much going on. Nobody seemed interested in helping us either despite the store not being busy. The staff can also be a bit friendlier. Unfortunately, my experience points to an unfortunate case of tourist trap with over complicated and cold waffles

The waffles were not crispy enough, and the store clerk had a bad attitude. He kept chatting indifferently. When I asked about the product with photos, he only replied coldly, "If you don't see it on the shelf, it's gone." He didn't mean to help find inventory at all. We said we saw it on the lower shelf (it was half open, but we were too embarrassed to take it), and the clerk went over to close the shelf and coldly said "no more"...

This Waffle was the best I ever had. I chose the White Chocolate and Oreos and it was perfect. Hot and just delicious. There is a full store here and a small exhibition for free.

This is the best place to try Stroopwafel. You can watch it being made. After trying the standard one, I recommend you to turn to other varieties.

You can get the stroopwafels here (the mini mixed pack is super) or other typical sweets. Come and take a tour upstairs too!

Unfortunately, we both got sick from the stroopwafel with chocolate and nuts from the display case. We shared the stroopwafel so it wasn't too much. When I got home I had to throw up. It's a shame that we weren't taken seriously when I called about it the next day.

We ordered a stroopwafel with chocolate and caramel. It's a shame they don't make the cookies right away, it would make the experience much better. The waiter simply took the cookie from the display. A pleasant space with a lot of history, on the 1st floor, you have the opportunity to learn a little about the history of Droste chocolate.
