The clerk didn't want to pay attention to the customers at all and only wanted to chat with his colleagues. It was really strange! I asked the store clerk why the chocolate waffles 🧇 were frozen. I asked the store clerk and said it was impossible. If it was hot, the chocolate would fall off 🤦🏻‍♂️

We had tickets for a stroopwafel presentation. The presentation was given in the basement (you need to take the stairs) and took but a few minutes, where the (short) history was explained and the method of how they were once prepared/baked. We then got to taste a freshly made one, followed by some stroopwafel liquor (which you should taste after you cleanse your palate from the stroopwafel). The basement was also a small museum, showing old attributes used and a bit more story of the stroopwafel history. When going back up you get to taste 3 different stroopwafels and receive a freshly made one to eat or take away. Staff was friendly and felt sincere. They really make the effort.

The best whipped cream I've ever had was here, it's incredibly dense and delicious, all kinds of waffles are available inside. You can buy gift packages or buy them fresh and eat them hot. There is a typical Dutch house exhibition on the top floor. It's very nostalgic and free to visit. If you come to Volendam, be sure to have dessert here.

Woltjes Backerji offers pistachio stroopwafel with generous toppings, but I found the waffles too sweet for my taste. However, the combination of fresh strawberries, bananas, and Nutella was enjoyable and balanced the flavors nicely.

They make stroopwaffles in front of you and it smells so good. It's an airy shop, not cramped. Prices are quite normal. You should try it.

Do not go here unless you have really bad cravings for sweets. These are passable at best. The waffles are 'modernized' versions with too much going on. Nobody seemed interested in helping us either despite the store not being busy. The staff can also be a bit friendlier. Unfortunately, my experience points to an unfortunate case of tourist trap with over complicated and cold waffles

I went there with a large group. They show us how to make waffles and offer some my favorite was the cinnamon. I got some waffles to my family highly recommended.

This Waffle was the best I ever had. I chose the White Chocolate and Oreos and it was perfect. Hot and just delicious. There is a full store here and a small exhibition for free.

This is the best place to try Stroopwafel. You can watch it being made. After trying the standard one, I recommend you to turn to other varieties.

You can get the stroopwafels here (the mini mixed pack is super) or other typical sweets. Come and take a tour upstairs too!

Unfortunately, we both got sick from the stroopwafel with chocolate and nuts from the display case. We shared the stroopwafel so it wasn't too much. When I got home I had to throw up. It's a shame that we weren't taken seriously when I called about it the next day.

We had 1 stoop waffle that was clearly old in taste and not fresh. Within an hour we feel nauseous and have to vomit. Unfortunately, our complaint by telephone is not taken seriously. NOT RECOMMENDED

We ordered a stroopwafel with chocolate and caramel. It's a shame they don't make the cookies right away, it would make the experience much better. The waiter simply took the cookie from the display. A pleasant space with a lot of history, on the 1st floor, you have the opportunity to learn a little about the history of Droste chocolate.

Very nice place along the seafront promenade. We were able to have a tasting and visit the museum upstairs. It is a representation of the local homes of the 60s.

Awesome experience. We got a nice showcase of how stroopwafels were made back then when they were invented and we learned how to make one. It is absolutely delicious and my gf even got a special stroopwafel as it was her birthday the day we visited. The Volendam village has its own unique beauty and it’s a very enjoyable place to visit too.

These were the best waffles I’ve ever had (including in Belgium)! We had the apple compote, sour cherry and Nutella and strawberry waffles and shared them. All were good but the strawberry one was my favourite. We had the fish and chips next door first, which were great, and we’d had a great day riding hired bikes in the region.

Wat een slecht personeel hier en de stroopwafels smaken als die van de supermarkt! Een echte toeristenval. We komen om 16.32u aan voor de presentatie van 16.30u. De jongen zegt dat we te laat zijn en dat de volgende om 17:00u begint. We vragen of we toch niet kunnen aansluiten bij de groep. "Nee, dan komen we in de knel" met het schema, want het praatje duurt een kwartier tot twintig minuten. Vervolgens zegt het meisje dat we zelf beneden kunnen kijken in de bakkerij zonder hun praatje. Ze had duidelijk geen zin om presentatie te geven. Vervolgens gaan we naar beneden en is het helemaal leeg. De winkel overigens ook. Geen vorige groep dus. Vervolgens weer naar boven en navraag gedaan. Zegt het meisje dat ze zich strikt aan de starttijd moeten houden. Ondertussen wel de stroopwafel kunnen proeven en de likeur. We zoeken de wc en die is buiten. Bij het naar buiten gaan, vraagt een meid: "komen jullie nog voor de presentatie terug?" Ja, we komen. Om 17:00u begint de presentatie en die duurt welgeteld 7 minuten. Om 16:32 had ze dus makkelijk haar praatje kunnen houden. Ondertussen in de hele winkel geen klant te bekennen. Hoezo in de knel met hun schema?! Personeel van vier speelt onder een hoedje om zo weinig mogelijk te hoeven doen.

This was so much better than I expected. We were the only ones in the waffle demonstration so the kids got to have a go at making a waffle then received a cute certificate as a keepsake. The girl demonstrating was so knowledgeable and friendly. The smell of the shop is divine. Being able to explore the house aswell was brilliant so oldie worldie. A must if visiting.

Erg leuke winkel met veel lekkernij. Alleen was de jongen die ons hielp erg lang druk met andere dingen waardoor het wat lang duurde voor wij werden geholpen. Verder kwa stroopwafels een must be om even lekker te proeven

Was part of a Volendam & Windmills tour group through lindbergh and bought online via GetYourGuide and I had a great time! There was a demonstration downstairs on how to make a stroopwafel and I was called to the stage to help make one. I got a certificate for helping :-) It was fun and their food is delicious! Leuk uitje, heerlijke bakkerij en historie. Met de tour word een verhaal verteld over vroeger en hoe ze hun eigen stroopwafel ontwikkeld hebben. Erg leuk om te doen en natuurlijk de stroopwafel na afloop te kunnen proeven en nog andere lekkernijen om mee naar huis te nemen.
