Of all the burgers and shakes out there, this one is extremely mediocre. They forgot tomato, lettuce, AND cheddar cheese on my burger, which you have to pay extra for. Furthermore, the milkshake was literally watery, flavored milk; it wasn't creamy or thick at all. On top of that, I had to wait over 45 minutes for this, even though the store was practically empty. A very anticlimactic experience; I'll stick to the one in Amsterdam East from now on.

We visited Burger & Shake in Almere Centrum on a Tuesday afternoon with a group of three. It was pretty quiet, and we ordered directly at the counter. Service was fast, and the food was ready fairly quickly too. We went for the Old School burger, loaded parmesan fries, and one small fries and honestly, you get a lot of food for your money. Even the small fries portion is more than enough for one person. The burger was absolutely delicious. The bun was soft and tasty, almost like it was homemade, and the patty itself tasted super fresh and high-quality, also felt homemade. The sauces were really good as well, full of flavor and well balanced. The location is oke, a bit further away from the center, the interior totally matches the vibe a bit of an American diner style, very casual and relaxed. Staff was friendly and did their job well. All in all, this place is a gem in Almere for anyone craving a really good burger and fries.

I ordered a burger with extra toppings, for which I also paid extra. Unfortunately, upon arrival, it turned out that the order was incorrect. Because I was hungry, I tried to supplement the missing ingredients myself with what I had at home. After two bites, I discovered that something else was missing. I decided to contact them. The first employee was friendly and indicated that I would receive a new burger, which I appreciated. However, shortly after, I was called back by another employee who indicated that they wanted my original burger back. I indicated that I had already taken two bites of it, but that was apparently no problem — they still wanted it back. Then I had to wait 40 minutes for the replacement burger. Unfortunately, when it finally arrived, it turned out that it was also not to my liking. I decided to call again, but this time I was spoken to by an employee who did not seem at all interested in my complaint. No apologies, no solution - just disinterest. All in all, a very disappointing experience. Two times a wrong order, long waiting time and indifferent service. For me absolutely not worth repeating. Super bad service.

Prices could be a little cheaper otherwise it's worth it for what you get

Almost 3 years ago I had burgers at this branch and it was really tasty and set the benchmark for halal burgers in Netherlands. Now almost 3 years later I came back and it was just as delicious. We sat in and the meals were fresh and tasty

Delivered too late and lukewarm/cold. I see bugs in other reviews that come from a cookbook. Too bad I didn't take a picture, but we had a piece of meat thrown on a bun with some indeterminate sauce and wilted lettuce. Looked like they came out from under a bus. Taste didn't really make up for it either. Price/quality ratio completely out of balance

The least bad thing was that it was delivered half an hour late. But this is the most horrible food ever. Everything was cold and as if everything had been heated up. Lettuce looked like it had been cooked. It was really terrible. Even the fries were inedible.

The manager of this place should really ask himself whether this is a delivery restaurant or a normal restaurant. It appears that orders via Thuisbezorgd are given priority over guests in the restaurant. Things have deteriorated considerably here in recent months. If you look at the branch in Amsterdam East, the difference in customer experience is truly enormous. The music is often way too loud and the timing in the kitchen is simply not right. It often happens that you can already pick up your hamburger, but then have to wait another 10 minutes for your fries. A shame, because there really is a lot of potential in this case. The burgers and fries are tasty and the decor is modern. With some better organization and attention to detail this could be a top business.

Order quite often, but everything is deteriorating more and more. Cold wilted fries, wrong burgers, long delivery time. There are options on the box to check what is in it, but they don't do that either, so you can just go home and find out what is what. When you call, they are not friendly at all and you have difficulty getting your CORRECT order, which of course you have to wait a while for... And then you have to give your wrong burgers back to the delivery person. The delivery person comes and says yes, you can eat those wrong burgers. Meanwhile they are COLD! Shame ..

They used to have good food and fast service, that's no longer the case. Waited over 2 hours for our order to be delivered and then the crispy chicken burgers were both unreasonably peppery/spicy, they were not supposed to be according to their description on the menu and from previous orders. We tried contacting them multiple times but the call went straight to voicemail every single time, you get no reply via email from previous experience. Sadly we will no longer be ordering here, it's a shame.

Delivery time was over two hours, without indication or updates. Phone goes straight to voicemail. Extremely much pepper on burgers that should not be spicy at all. We used to enjoy ordering (and coming) here, but in recent months it has been a disaster every time.

Good Halal restaurant if you travel through Almere

Nice concept! You can choose different types of burgers with a choice of Beef, Grilled Chicken, Crispy Chicken and Red-Carrot Veggie.

After waiting 1 hour I called. The delivery person would be there within 5 minutes (this turned out to be 20) and unfortunately no apology was given. When the food arrived, I sent it to the right destination (the garbage bin) after the first bite. The fries were cold and limp and the burgers were drier than the ashes of my cremated grandfather.

Completely done with you!!! Last time I got a burger with dirty overcooked chicken and a piece of lettuce on it, even though I paid 8.95 for it. On the phone I am told: 'tomato was gone' Then you call a customer to look for options????? Just ordered again and said that my food should be there at 7:00 PM because I have to leave afterwards. Dinner arrives at 7:17 PM. Look for normal staff, instead of a bunch of toddlers who can't even properly speak to a customer on the phone. I have ordered from you many times, but now I am really done with you! bye

Very delicious burgers and tasty fries with friendly staff. Brooklyn and Silence burgers are so good.

I am extremely disappointed in the service of this restaurant. They made a mistake in my order and gave me the wrong chicken burger instead of the crispy chicken I ordered. When I pointed this out to them, I received a rude response: “If you don't want it, just order again.” This is downright unacceptable, especially since they recognized me as a regular customer. Service is the most important thing to me, and if it's bad, I don't want the food anymore. I will never order anything from here again.

Wow, what an experience! Ordered at 3:59 PM, promised for 5:00 PM, and then finally at 6:42 PM the food arrives – ice cold, of course. As if waiting wasn't great enough, they didn't give any excuses or extras either. Any other decent restaurant would have at least offered something to make up for it, but here? NOPE. So I will NOT order here again💀😭

This was my first time here and for me also the last time, the burger was really tasty "brooklyn burger" but the fries and the price ratio is really a no go. I ordered fries with Parmesan cheese and truffle mayonnaise, I don't know what's going on with the mayonnaise but it was so gross it wasn't my fault because many of my snappers thought the same. I ordered a milkshake that was more of a smooty. And it was so thick that nothing came out of the straw. I think if you charge 8 euros for a portion of fries with a little cheese that at least quality mayonnaise would end up on it, it would be a shame.

Never again will I order from here. Placed an order at 6:30 PM and still no food at 9:00 PM. Do you call them, without any excuse, yes, it will be delivered in 30 minutes. Well, about an hour later, still no food. Afterwards the phone is turned off. You can't get hold of them. 1 worddd disasterppzaliggggg!! You are told there is nothing you can do about it. Apparently that's how you treat customers these days.

It’s honestly a good smash burger place, but they’re not consistent with their products. I always order the same thing, and my order has been wrong twice in a row now. My burger was missing some ingredients. On top of that, we had to wait at least 30 minutes, which is really long for fast food. And they charge quite a lot for it too. Unfortunately I am not coming back.

Amazing food. Service is super nice when dining in and also the delivery. I just received an order and by a mistake the shake as wrong, I didn't have to do anything. They delivered the correct shake later and apologised for the mistake.

My recent order at Burger 'n Shake was unfortunately a disappointing experience. First of all, it took a whopping two hours for the order to arrive, which is significantly longer than the expected delivery time. This led to the first disappointment of the evening. When unpacking the order, it turned out that the Vega burger, which I had specifically ordered due to dietary preferences, was not a Vega burger at all. This was a big mistake considering the allergies and dietary restrictions some customers may face. After contacting the restaurant, I received a very unfriendly employee. Her arrogant attitude and lack of helpfulness only made the situation worse. She seemed completely unwilling to think along or offer a suitable solution. Eventually they offered to send two new citizens, but by then the disappointment was already great. Replacement citizens never arrived. And the phone is no longer answered. All in all, the whole experience was extremely unpleasant and far from what I expected from a restaurant with such a reputation. I hope that Burger 'n Shake improves their service and product quality in the future, because this way I see no reason to order from them again. Edit: Owner had promised to reimburse us for the citizens. However, we now receive an email from Thuisbezorgd stating that they have been in contact and have not received permission from the owner to provide compensation. What a sad franchise this is, with executives making false promises on the phone just to brush us off.

Ordered a veggie burger and had to wait 2 hours. Received a normal burger that said vegetarian without any knowledge. Incomprehensible and unacceptable. I would strongly advise anyone (especially vegetarians) to eat or order here.

Unfortunately, my experience with this burger place was terrible. I placed an order and, after waiting over two hours, I never received my food. The worst part is that they didn't even bother to call me to explain or apologize. The lack of professionalism and customer service is unacceptable. I do not recommend this place at all.

Ordered food, didn't receive any food an hour and a half later. According to Thuisbezorgd, the delivery person had been on his way for more than half an hour, but no one showed up. When you try to call, the phone doesn't work. At the time of writing, the delivery person arrived, he indicated that there was a delivery stop due to the weather. I understand that of course, but then they could have called. I sent the food back and am going to ask for my money back.

What a terrible experience to get my food over here. It was early in the evening and there were barely any customers. After ordering my hamburger, milkshake and loaded fries I've been waiting over 45 minutes. As soon as I received I checkef the bags outside and noticed there was no loaded fries? Have all 3 employees been sleeping? I guess so, because I had to go back and find out that they haven't even started on this yet. Time passed and later got to eat it all together. It's a very common hamburger "The Host" in this case with minimal taste, milkshake and loaded fries were decent. Probably last time stopping by here, it's not anything unique.

The burger was incredibly delicious and juicy, and the crispy fries were a delightful addition. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, adding to the overall enjoyable experience.

Too bad I wouldn't have liked to leave a bad review, but this is for feedback. Iftar time is long overdue, it took 45 minutes for us to receive our order and the shake and fries were already ready at the counter, so they were half melted and the fries were cold. Well, the burger was probably not looked at when it was on the grill because it was not flattened, but it was so thick and small, just like a Moroccan kefta burger and I had more bread than burger. During busy times your phone no longer exists, but they don't understand that here either. And the open kitchen concept is nice, but when you see that cash is being accepted with the same gloves that they use to run through their hair, wipe the sweat from their foreheads and then touch the food, I think I would rather not have seen that. Anyway, that's a pity for the first time in Almere, but next time we will continue on to Amsterdam.

Food is almost always delivered late and (too) cold. Even after calling several times, still too late. That's a shame. No change in this recently.

Good burgers, fresh patty, melty cheese, very fresh. Milkshake was tasty too BUT hotdog is downright nasty it felt raw and just disgusting.

The food was delivered really quickly, hot and fresh. Credits to the lovely ladies who made it!! It was also delivered by a super sweet delivery person. I will definitely order here more often and I really recommend everyone to order your food here, top quality!

I placed an order at 6:45 PM. After waiting an hour and a half we thought we would contact the restaurant, but the phone doesn't even ring. After waiting 2 hours the delivery arrived super grumpy. And we thought if it took that long it must be good, well no. Frisian bacon and cheese had “almost” no cheese on it and it arrived almost ice cold, same goes for the burgers. never order again, also as a tip don't order here!

The front door says open at 11 a.m., online it says open at 11 a.m., but at half past 12 you are simply sent out the door saying they are not open yet.

Burgers are always great. Fries are spectacular too. Used to live next to a burger and shake in Amsterdam. Was super happy to find this one here too. Dine in and deliver, both options I've had good experience with.

We ordered the Brooklyn burger and the Old School burger with beef and cheddar cheese and a small portion of fries. Everything on the menu is halal! The burgers and fries taste very tasty. The prices are dirt cheap compared to other burger joints. The restaurant has a chill vibe and the girls behind the counter are helpful and friendly. The nicest burger joint in Ally!

Food came quickly, portions big in a good price. But was not tasty. And in the toilet was a very bad smell.

Unbelievable that these people are not ashamed of delivering the food, it is cold and it is literally bread that you always have at home on it, that again for a jackpot price, chicken was limp, fries were limp everything was limp and cold I think so disappointing. Next time you think about burgers and shakes, you better go to your freezer and make your own chicken sandwich.

Ik had de Brooklyn Chicken besteld , in de veronderstelling dat ik een gefrituurde kippenborst zou krijgen met een krokant laagje, wat ook de norm is bij burgertenten, helaas kreeg ik kip gehakt wat niet eens (volledig) naar kip smaakte.

I first visited this place in 2019 and it was terrible. But now it is making pretty decent burgers, and the best fries in that area imo. ( better than fat phills)

One of the most amazing shakes and fries I tried in ages. Its not cheap per se, but worth the price. I’ve been here around fifteen times by now, mostly during late hours. They always helped swiftly and friendly. Today I went around 7PM for a change, and I had to wait for around 40 minutes because of peak hour. Waiting over an half hour today annoyed me, partly because of a new employee. But in general I am very satisfied with this location.

I am a regular customer, usually food is tasty but unfortunately the quality is not the same every time. For example today I got oily brun fries, different from the usual gold fries, asked for replacement but the same bad quality fries was served again.

We are staying for a short term in Almere and love looking at Google maps for recommendations. Pleased to see a halal place that’s not just a typical Turkish kebab place. The burgers were moist and full. The loaded fries was super yummy too! The sauces were to die for!! Would definitely recommend’

Wat een leuk authentieke hamburger zaak in Almere centrum , heb heerlijk gegeten

It was a random walk in with high expectations as we were starving! And trust me the food won't be looking amazing in the pictures but damnnnnn the burgers were fresh and delicious. I felt the place is underrated and not being hyped up. I had chicken burgers and the patty was not dry it was juicy. The sauces tasted awesome! Fries soaked in the sauce fully overloaded. The lady preparing them is just amazing at her job. The boys who served us were kind too. Surely visiting again!

Lekkere burger gegeten en ook goeie kwaliteit. De prijs is betaalbaar voor wat je krijgt. Zeker een aanrader om hierheen te gaan. Het eten is halal en de milkshake moet je zeker hebben geproefd!

Wij zijn hier gaan lunchen, zelfs na het lezen van de slechte reviews. Gelijk wordt je geconfronteerd met een nogal onvriendelijk medewerker. Toch hebben wij onze bestelling geplaatst. Het duurde even voordat wij onze burgers, friets en milkshake kregen. Uit onze ervaring kunnen wij concluderen dat de slechte reviews kloppen. Burgers en friets waren koud net als de milkshake. Onze milkshake was geen milkshake maar een waterig koud drankje. Burger 'n shake jullie zien ons niet meer terug!

Ronduit slecht! Om te beginnen was de tafel waar wij wilden aanschuiven op z'n zachtst gezegd smerig! We vroegen de chagrijnig ogende medewerkster om servetten en we zeiden er express bij dat we die wilde gebruiken om de tafel schoon te maken. In plaats van dat ze zelf de tafel ging schoonmaken gaf ze ons doodleuk een partij servetten. Goed, we hebben de tafel schoongemaakt met wat desinfecterende middel die we bij ons hadden. Ten tweede was de bestelling verkeerd opgenomen. We kregen een burger die we niet hadden besteld . We hebben het gemeld maar er verder niet moeilijk over gedaan. We hebben de bestelling maar zo gelaten. Wel was dus duidelijk dat ze totaal niet gefocust zijn en hun werkzaamheden niet met plezier uitvoeren. Bij het verlaten keken we uit automatisme nog even richting de keuken om gedag te zeggen. De chagrijnige medewerkster keek ons aan en vervolgens weer de andere kant op. Wij komen daar dus nooit meer en dit restaurant zullen we ook aan niemand aanbevelen.

Heel slecht Eten opgehaald ipv laten bezorgen en alsnog gaan er dingen mis. Friet Koud Milkshake niet te drinken lijkt wel ijsje Bacon mis ik op mijn friet bestelling.
