McDonald's in Wijk 02 Almere Stad

I haven't seen such a dirty store in a long time. I don't find it very appetizing when you're a customer standing at the counter and see how filthy the floor in the "kitchen" is. There were wrappers, noodles, fries, and other things lying around. The employee I spoke to shrugged. He obviously didn't care.

It was holiday time so indeed the staff and the food were good, I rarely go to McDonald's

The food is fine, but the staff is incredibly unfriendly. I recently ordered two drinks and had to wait 20 minutes. The restrooms are also filthy, but you have to pay a euro. If you mention it, they get angry at you in English because they don't speak Dutch.

My knee hurts, and they made me stand while waiting for my food. Why can't it be brought to the table as usual? Why are there numbers if it's not brought to you?

I was here on July 30, 2025. I'm a McDonald's employee and saw that this place doesn't meet the standard requirements of McDonald's Netherlands. Firstly, the OAT was full and wasn't passed on to other employees to ensure smoother service. Secondly, when I received my order, I didn't receive napkins or sauce with my finger food. Thirdly, when I tried to ask for these missing items, I was completely ignored by the service staff. Fourthly, the tenders in the wraps were at least 20 minutes old, meaning they had been printed at least twice on the UHC screen. Furthermore, the cucumbers in the dressing were warm; they shouldn't be on the dressing table in such large quantities, causing them to become warm. All in all, it was very disappointing, and it's deteriorating the image of McDonald's on a national level. I hope this review is taken into account in the next meeting. I advise the managers to maintain proper procedures and educate people that it's not about getting everything done as quickly as possible, but about guest satisfaction. Sincerely, Daniël

It's a McDonald's. Very clean and tidy. But it's ridiculous that you charge paying customers €1 for a toilet visit. McDonald's has already become extremely expensive. The local snack bar is half the price. Yet, you still take the kids to McDonald's. But then having to pay a fortune to let the kids pee is ridiculous!!!!

Incorrect order, machines not working and random people just walking behind the counter to the food preparation area to great their friends before leaving

I walked in and immediately all the thugs were at the door. When I got to McDonald's, I placed my order as usual. Then it was my turn to pick it up. The man working gave me a death stare as if he wanted to hurt me. I'll never eat here again!

I'm getting so tired of this McDonald's, it's truly one of the worst in the Netherlands. Ordering through Thuisbezorgd or on-site always takes an incredibly long time. If you just want a cheeseburger, for example, you can expect a 15-20 minute wait. Today was the same again. I ordered something through Thuisbezorgd, and the delivery driver arrived after just 15 minutes, but he still had to wait a whole hour for mine and someone else's order. Even he was frustrated. Then it turned out the order was incomplete, and everything had simply been dumped in the bag instead of being organized properly, as many other restaurants do. The staff here is never friendly or helpful (rare these days in fast food in the West), and it feels so uncomfortable that you don't even want to stay. I'll eat it outside in the sun, by the lake or something. If you're going to order, order from the McDonald's at Oorweg 7. It's a bit further, so delivery takes 5-10 minutes longer, but the total delivery time is usually only 40 minutes, instead of 60-90 minutes at this McDonald's. At the McDonald's on Oorweg, they're also much more efficient with orders, and I've had far fewer problems.

One of the worst McDonald's experiences in a long time. Waited 25 minutes for our food, and was charged €1 for my baby's restroom, even though we ate there. Terrible service.

We waited 25 minutes for our food; they forgot. Now it turns out you have to pay 1 euro for the restroom. I find that ridiculous; normally it would have been free. I didn't mind paying, but not 1 euro. Even though we ordered our food, I just went to the town hall, where there are free restrooms.

It seems like it's a hangout for young people and not a restaurant where the kids go to eat and there's a lot of noise with young people who haven't even ordered anything and aren't even eating.

When we entered we could only order "To go". Mistake, we could also eat inside. Ordered Egg McMuffin without cheese, got cheese. Our order form said "without cheese". Our croissants still had to be baked, took more than 15 minutes. Ordered normal orange juice, but could only order apple juice. When picking it up it turned out to be the other way around, no apple juice but orange juice. Very mediocre.

No communication, iced frappe machine did not seem to work properly, staff did not know what to do. Manager look-a-like was not professional. Mcflurry delivered half melted by idiot, too bad again...

How come you have to pay extra to go to the toilet at McDonald's? This world is really going backwards. And then the floor in front of the toilet is so slippery that you have to be careful not to slip. Really a disaster

Very disappointed in this visit to McDonald's. I had to wait 18 minutes for my coffee, while there were almost no people in the restaurant. The staff just stood there and literally did nothing. They were slow, disinterested and unmotivated. Some just stood there with their fingers up their noses. When I politely asked if they could make my coffee, I was met with a rude response: “Just wait your turn” — even though there was no line at all. This is embarrassing for a brand like McDonald's. I absolutely do not recommend this establishment. Terrible service. 1/10.

If you want to wait half an hour for food poisoning, go here. Ate here with a friend who was both sick for a few days and we didn't even order the same thing. Wonderful if you then go on holiday by plane.

Here we ate cheeseburgers, MC croquette and filet o fish yesterday and today due to diarrhea. I didn't sleep last night because of the pain in my stomach and today I had to go to the toilet. The burgers were tough and the MC croquette was clearly old and dried out. I will never eat here again and if I were someone else I would never eat here!!!!!!

Hamburgers overcooked and dry at the location very dirty above the tables dirty yet 1 reasonable table found, 8 ladies age 12/14 years came with a lot of foul language and were almost on our table Never eat here again in many macs, however, the food, staff and hygiene are very far below par. Never eat here again and given the generally provided food and services at the mac, this location should be closed down

I'm already not a big fan of Mc. Let's go at least. With the kids. It was busy, mainly young people inside and outside. Most had no consumption. There were staff walking around with their coats on, perhaps just off work, and it seemed as if they had invited their circle of friends. The entire club stood at the issuing/ordering counter. Laughable and noisy presence. I ordered at the counter, the employee seemed completely absent and not interested. Was distracted by the young people present. A chair fell over, and a plant fell hard to the ground. The manager was busy, running around, cleaning up trash cans, addressing troublesome young people, and also tending to fries and the cash register. I felt sorry for him, he was friendly but also slightly over-stressed. I don't have to explain that my order went wrong. Wrong fries, instead of hamburger, chicken nuggets, and forgot sauce. 2 napkins for 3 people. The crowds, hysteria, and chaos made it unpleasant. McDonalds should be ashamed of themselves for treating their employees this way. They are not at all concerned with hospitality and safety. An additional security guard or additional managerial colleague would make things more manageable I also see this trend at other Mc branches. Shame! Afterwards I went to my trusted, delicious Febo. Perhaps you should also ignore the MC more often.

Waiting way too long. 2 drinks... they manipulate the orders to make it seem like they are very fast. But you're waiting half an hour

They always select that your order is ready when in fact it's not and you have to wait ~15 more minutes after it appeared on the screen that is ready. Not everyone speaks dutch so I have no idea when they call if it's mine or not. I usually look on the screen to see. Also for sure there are customers with hearing impairment which also watch the screen to know when their order is done.

I ordered two cookies, and they gave it to me totally frozen. I asked the worker for baking it somehow, because that was impossible to eat, totally cold, even with ice. Then she returned it to me like it was heated in the microwave, still cold and with a watery texture. I have worked in McDonalds and I know that this can happen when you didn’t make the tempering of the product properly and on time. At least, they could take it out of the Screen, or warn me before it is served.

Once and never again. Ordered food and it took a long time. A girl was frying fries, sat with her fingers on the fries in the fryer basket trying to get fries out, sat with her hands on her hair, in her face. Really UGLY! When I said something about it I felt like the chef wasn't taking me seriously. Bizarrely unhygienic and I really think that's an issue sorry.

The McFlurry is the pinnacle of fast food, according to the words of my partner. We came here after Burger King and the ice cream is just very tasty. It was really dirty inside, there was rubbish everywhere and lettuce and stuff on all the tables. The atmosphere is bad. We walked upstairs and twenty tough guys scolded us. Furthermore, only barking but would not come at night if I was a target. The toilet was gross, admittedly less claustrophobic than at Burger King, but there was toilet paper in the sink. I love McDonalds like a son gone wrong. You always have higher hopes, but more or less you don't love me.

If I were to compare MC Donald's to KFC, I would of course recommend MC Donald's, but these Dutch fast foods are bland compared to Polish ones.

Duration. Small soggy sandwich with a small hamburger, limp lettuce and some sauce, a very small container with some small thin fries, with a small bag of fries sauce and a cup of coffee, the coffee was good, drinking cup with lid, awkward to drink from, so I took the lid off.

Last time I was here I had to wait 45 minutes for a large fries. The employees are slow moving, have a bad attitude and they are unfriendly. I had the impression that the people around me were of the same opinion. I understand that this work is difficult, but I think you should at least have a smile. I have nothing positive to say about the employees.

Received my food quickly with table service, it was very tasty.

It was freezing outside, but the doors were wide open, making it freezing cold inside. All the tables were dirty and the trash cans were overflowing. I had to wait 30 minutes for my order, even though it was not busy at all, and then it turned out to be incomplete. The toilets were clogged, the soap dispenser was broken on the floor and the floor was sticky with urine.

I notice that the food from McDonalds is no longer tasty these days. I can no longer eat delicious food and enjoy it. The quality has deteriorated tremendously. Especially the MC chicken and it is also terribly expensive.

Literally the slowest McDonald's I have ever been to; I had 25min to drink a coffee, in the end I was not served, and had to leave without getting it. I also ordered an apple tart, which they did not have, the lady offered something else, but then after 25 min I had to leave Don't come here, the worst McDonald's experience I have ever had.

It takes a long time for your food to be ready, staff does not leave their zone in the kitchen.

The waiting time is terrible in the morning when there is absolutely no traffic and you have to wait for an excruciatingly long time to order. Food is sometimes incomplete. The lady in the white shirt is not nice and rude. It seems like she's here as a punishment. Lack of interest at the cash register when you want to pay for your order because it is often not possible to pay with the cash register.

Oi oi, there were 4 girls chatting to staff, with 7 orders still to be processed, two customers waiting at the cash register and no eye contact being made. Judeska was none of it. We therefore waited fifteen minutes for lukewarm food. This location is on the square with no spotlights on. Not very attractive. A lot was already sold out. Shame!

No matter what you order, whether it's busy or not, you have to wait at least 20 minutes or longer because the staff here are always lazy. Chatting is more important to them. They don't care how long the customers wait.

It's a cramped place, during busy times when you're standing in line you can hardly move for people who want to pass by with the tray. They do not use the screen with order numbers, it is there for decoration. If you show your Almere tourist pass at the cash register, for which you normally get a discount, they will not accept it If you ask for a deposit for cups, you do not pay the euro for the cup, but you pay the ten cents for disposable rubbish after complaining. If you ask for a double quarter pounder you get a single. You ask for big taste without becon, what appears to be the becon on it. Short summary not a tent to recommend!!!!

Just your average fastfood place. Always busy and the shouting of the numbers (instead of using the dashboard above the counter) is very annoying. If you expect food fast it's just what you expect.

We recently had dinner here and ordered via the app (the table service). But apparently this Macdonald's doesn't do table service. After placing the order (see the photo) we had to wait a very long time. After 20 minutes I went to the cash register to find out how and what. When I got there, it didn't seem like anyone was keeping an eye on the cash register. After literally waiting a few minutes an employee came and I explained my thing. The response I received: Can I have your phone to get the order together?

Very disappointed. I ordered delivery and got a completely different order! I ordered a Mc Crispy honey mosterd and got the mcwrap. I ordered some chicken wings and didn't even add it, only the sauce package. While I did pay for them. Tried to call multiple times, nobody picks up. Not only that but everything was cold and soggy. Delicious food as always! Just a shame about the change in business! Very little space compared to before, so you're more likely to leave than sit down. Upstairs is also never open to sit. Waste of space. The tables that are still there are so close together that you barely have any space. As a result, people take up several tables and no one says anything. Shame. What an experience again. Half of the orders simply disappeared from the screen. Orders arrived at the counter in completely random order (or not). After half an hour, only two were taken from a mountain of cooled hamburgers and given to us. A screaming woman (yes, an adult) was not addressed. A spilled liquid on the stairs(!) had not been cleaned up after half an hour while a staff member was waiting next to the door. Later I heard from someone else that the bathroom sink was also full of vomit. I don't want to weigh how long that had been marinating. It seems like McDonalds is doing some kind of social experiment here: How incompetent can we be while we keep raising prices?

What filthy people come here. The toilet is not worth seeing. No toilet paper and pissed next to the pot. Really too rancid. The tables were also sticky and the floor dirty. This did not contribute to the atmosphere. No, not here again for me.

Went there, twice. Once I waited over 1 hour for my order, the second time 2 of my burgers were missing (packing was tight and a lot of products so I could not check everything in the bag).

It's a McDonald's, so what would you expect? What was noticeable was that there was chaos at the collection counter and that the ordering kiosks looked poorly maintained.
